Audible Tracks not visible

I just upgraded to the 80g video, and used playlists to copy my Audible content over. I can see the tracks in the Play lists, but not under the music folder. So when I delete the track from the playlist, it is gone! But still taking up space on my iPod (I can see the files using Windows Explorer)
Anyone else having this issue?

Try deleting the imovie preference file. Locate a file named com.apple.imovie.plist and get rid of it. Then empty the trash, run a permissions repair with disk utility and restart. That should do it. The files you need to delete are found in:
/Users/YourName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.imovie.plist
Then try this list (compliments of P.T.Patrick):
*Run MacJanitor (free download) to do all the Unix Cron Maintenance scripts.
*Run Disk Utility (Applications -> Utilities) and repair disk permissions on your start up drive (typically your internal drive). Also verify any other drives mounted on the system.
*Run Preferential Treatment (free download) to check for corrupt/damaged application and system preference files.
*Run Cache Out X (free download) to clear all system and application caches.
*Reboot your Mac.

Alternate video tracks not visible

I have video files that occasionally display very different content to the primary video content, especially the first time they're played. The video stream with start to disintegrate and for a few seconds something completely different is viewable. It's also not easily repeated. Its not like pristine video content suddenly appears. The main content becomes visually corrupt or fragmented, pixilated, smeared, etc and alternate content becomes visible for brief periods.
What can I do to separate or remove the primary video track enabling the covered tracks to be visible?
I'm viewing these video files with vlc and premiere pro in a Windows 7 environment, but not skilled enough to devise a procedure to expose the underlying content.
Answering questions is not a problem.

If you are willing to try anything, how about importing the file into AE?
I'm guessing the encoding is corrupt or non-standard since you are seeing the same problem in several programs.
How to get the correct frames? Well, if you are seeing different frames each time you play through it, you may have to do a manual save of each frame and then try to put them in the correct order.
I'd try to open the file in several other video programs and see if it works in any of them. Have you tried Handbrake, for example?

Track not visible in CMS - urgent

Hi ,
I am working on EJB -Webdynpro Dc projects. My application is working on production server , but i am not able to view track in CMS. what may be cause of this problem?? I haven't deleted track from CMS , still is not shown in CMS.Also when i am logging to DTR in Netweaver studio i am getting message "There is no build space with identifier APPL2(track name)" How can i resolve this problem???

Hi Kavitha,
From the error message what you have posted "There is no build space with identifier APPL2" It looks like the track has been deleted from CMS.
Because whenever you delete a track from CMS the corresponding build spaces also get deleted, but the DTR workspace have to be deleted manually.
To me it looks like the track has got deleted.
But additionally looking at the SCs in DTR you can recreate the track in CMS with the same name.That shud not be a problem.
If you are still doubtful about the track deletion you can open a message as suggested by Pascal.

Real instument track not visible on New track

I am trying to record streaming audio in Garage Band. Upon following the youtube video, it states to create a new "real instrument track." In my Gargage Band '11 I do not see this option on the start up screen. I have updated the software, but to no avail. Please help indentify where this is or offer another option to record / capture streaming audio. I am also using SoundFlower, but this option was missing in Garage Band before install. Thank you in advance.

Byron, what is your GarageBand '11 version?
In GarageBand '11, version 6.0.5 start with any template that will create a track to be recorded using line-in or an audio interface, for example the "Voice" track or "Acoustic Instrument".
Let's assume you picked "Acoustic Instrument".
This will create a basic project with just one basic track for recording, without any effects applied.
In the lower right of the window, in the Info panel for the track, you will see the options to select the input source. Set it to the input source you are using after you connect your input device.

Hi All,
In such cases, please try to check as below :
1) Create Leave request work item from Employee and check the same under the UWL Tracking tab of employee.
2) Log-in to swi5 transaction of the respective back end system and give "US" -> manager's UserID -> Choose Tasks to be completed from the drop down -> Remove any date if mentioned -> Execute.
3) Here if you can see the Leave request created, but not on the portal, it reflects some portal issue like sync.
4) If no leave request work item is seen here, then there is a problem in the employee manager mapping or the workflow setup.
5) In such cases, you can try to check the Swi1 and check the log of that workflow to understand the current status of the Leave request.
Revert if further help is needed with more info.

Waveform not visible / showing in tracks returned from Audition

I have a sequence I sent out to Audition to be edited. When I return it to Premiere, it produces a newly added track, but no wave forms are visible. Can't find how to turn them on or why they are not visible. Any suggestions?

With your Sequence active in the Timeline Panel...
Try:
Sequence > Render Audio

Captivate 5.5 published files are not visible in Fire Fox or open in new window.

When I publish and post Captivate 5.5, the HTML or the swf files do not display in Fire Fox (latest version) without forcing the file to open in a new window (if it displays at all). If it does work, the Flash security blocks the swf on an ugly view until the user clicks.
I thought it was because I have to assign a direct URL to each component, but all of the other Captivate sites I have reviewed have the same issue when viewing in Fire Fox.
IE will display after the active x is authorized (I can live with that).
You Tube and other Flash display properly in Fire Fox, just not Captivate products.
I have disabled off all plugins, modified the protected settings, and everything I could find listed in the Fire Fox help. I have installed a previous version of Flash and Shockwave Player. Short of reinstalling windows, it is not working and that will not help because the published content is not visible on any other machine in the office or at home.
The files are in a Portal, so I cannot share them unless you are in the DoD and have an AKO or DKO account.
However, here is another example of the Captivate not working.

Any of the DAU games, if they display. It is a government site, so they have the standard gov garbage (stuff not working like certificates), but nothing is harmful nor can they do anything to track other than the current session.
It is kind of weird how the content is displayed... It is not an intranet, it goes to a limited access portal. When I store content, it uses an absolute path instead of relative path. Very aggrevating when using many of the tools for non-programmers (like me), and probably more aggrevating for programmers.
Whether I point directly to the .swf or to the generated HTML, the content displays in IE, but not in FF.
It may be a combination of FF and Captivate. FF seems rather flaky in dealing with swf files. There is the consideration for add-ons, but I tried on a newly imaged computer and it still was not working. Even after going through all of the FF steps to get it to work.
Basically we had to create a new HTML file to display the content because the Captivate published files don't work. However, the new HTML does not reference the XML files.
When I publish, I get 5 different files, .swf, .htm, .js, and 2 .xml. When I dig through the code (once again, not a programmer, soo I may be missing something), even round tripping to Flash, I do not see how the .xml files are referenced at all.
These may be different topics, not sure, it came up because I am trying to get a simple solution from the product that can be easily transferred to our production servers and available for Solders to access.

Document message bar not visible when participating in Shared Review

Hi,
I have initiated a Shared Review using Acrobat Pro 8
Immediately after I finished sending out the notification to other reviewers, the _Review.pdf version of the document is opened for me and the Document Message bar is visible. Therefore I have the option to check for new comments, publish comments.
My colleagues however, when they open the pdf file attachment from their email notification they get the message: "This document has been sent by a user of Acrobat 8.0 Professional for your review. To participate in this review Acrobat 8.0 standard or professional, or later, is required" Pressing OK on that message box opens up the PDF file to be reviewed however the Document Message bar is not visible (there is no Document Message bar icon on the left pane either.). Therefore my colleagues cannot publish their comments.
I also encountered the same issue. After I close my PDF and re-open it, I cannot see the Document Message bar, eventhough I can still see my Review Tracker and the document still listed there.
So, what did I do wrong? I started the shared review by following the prompts:
1. Comments > Send for Shared Review
2. Enable reviewers with Reader to participate
3. Select a network drive to store the shared comments
4. Select the document to be reviewed
5. I've experiment with all the different send notifications options
6. I specified the email address of the reviewers and sent the invite

RAID 0 is not visible

ok, I've found the answer by myself - this RAID system is destined for Windows only (both drivers and console). So I'll do it on OS level. Bye.

Profile description is not visible from Application which the LDT file has.

I am running into strange issue.
Dev created a LDT file for a profile and requested to upload it through a one-off patch.
The profile got updated into the DB for all the 3 languages - US, KO and AR.
However the description is not visible for US when tried to verify from the Forms.
Further analysis gave a tip that the description is NULL only for US and exists for other 2 Langs (KO and AR).

What could be the reason behind this change?
Why the profile description only for US Lang is not getting updated whereas for other languages it got updated by FND User - "ORACLE12.2.0"?
It clearly shows on 09-Nov-12 there were some changes happened and that to by User_ID 122 which updated for KO and AR.
For some reason the same was not applied for US Lang.

We have requested Dev to chek the same got to know that,Yes, when tried with CUSTOM_MODE=FORCE, it is working fine.
But they are insisting on how the other Langs got updated and why it would not update for US alone.
Just check the Profile from FND_PROFILE_OPTIONS about the profile details and found below.

Fields not visible

Hi All,
I am trying to display tabular data based on a BW query.
But it showing only three fields(key_figures ,Key_figures_ext_key ,Key_figures_key ) in VC. All the fields (more than 20) are visble in BW query designer. I am not able track why the other fields are not visible.

right click on your query choose then click on "Define / Test query..." then execute and then on generate. Now all the fields should be displayed.

Development Component not visible in dev config, but visible in DTR,CBS

Hi,
we have recently migrated our production track from netweaver 2004 to 2004s. In the Dev Config perspective I am unable to see a DC, but I am able to see the same from the DTR perspective. I am also able to see this DC in CBS.
I am unable to create a project or work on this DC because of this problem.
Has anyone else faced the same problem ? What can be done to make the DC visible in the Dev Config ?

Here are the findings :
1)The DC is not available in both the active and inactive tabs in the Dev config perspetive.
2) I have only NWDS 7.0 on my machine, but Admin has the older version 6.4 and it was not visible on their machine.
3) I tried Re-Synching the archives, but still no luck, the DC is still invisible.
4)The DC was last modified during the creation of the new track, the activities making changes to the DC before that are mostly UI changes, no deletes etc.. which could cause the DC to not be visible.
5) It is a WD DC.
6) The DC exists in Cons/Dev (both active/inactive) DTR workspaces as well as CBS build spaces (on both versions of the track)
7)There are no pending activities for this DC in the old track.
8)There were couple of broken DCs on the new track but this is mainly because of compile time errors due to use of deprecated methods.
While checking for all these items I noticed that the .dcref file for the DC is missing in the DTR for both active and inactive, could this mean anything ? Is this the reason for the DC not being visible in the Dev Config perspective ?
Is there any way to recover the DC ?

I have 7.07 Adobe Professional and when a document is opened
page 1 is not visible. I have to toggle to page 2 and then back to

You have a couple choices. You can render your LT
movie in LT and make sure the box is checked that
reads "Render Backgound", but this doesn't seem to be
the choice you want from your post.
So go back to your live type graphic in Live Type and
move your background elements (drag them up) above
the thick gray bar in the timeline such that it
exists in the same area that your text tracks exist.
This way your background elements and text tracks
will all be seen in the .ipr file. And then when
it's in FCP maybe you will need to render it
depending on all that is included, but no big deal
just render it.
Everything will be there.
In you response to me: (You have a couple choices. You can render your LT movie in LT and make sure the box is checked that reads "Render Backgound", but this doesn't seem to be the choice you want from your post.) You left out one important detail. You first need to go to Project Properties and then check the Background Box).
Once you do that you can save your project (with the texture below the backround bar) and import into FCE. You still need to render in FCE. Thanks for your help.

Audio mixing (track not clip) .Precise level entry for KF levels?

Ive done a lot of tutorials on setting and mixing audio levels, both clip and track in PrP 5.5 . I want to know the best way to add a keyframe on the timeline (in track audio mode) and enter a precise db setting. Dragging up and down is pretty random and not accurate, especially when setting levels for 2 mono tracks for stereo.
I am not interested in using the track mixer in live mode because again it is to inaccurate and needs cleaning up. I tried right clicking on the keyframes and got everything EXCEPT the ability for numeric entry. A real basic function for audio mixing.

When you are trying to do TRACK key frames on the timeline, its necessary to click on the SHOW KEY FRAMES icon at the start of the TL audio track. When you switch to SHOW TRACK KEY FRAMES suddenly the clip cannot be loaded in the SOURCE window (which kind of makes sense) and so the TRACK key frames are not visible for numeric entry.
So the problem with no ability for numeric entry assigning key frames a db still exists.

Yup, tripped across that one a while ago.
I just gave up on the track approach. Doing it as a clip approach is way easier. I just make the key frame, go the the audio effects window and enter the db level. Done. I did however put in a feature request to be able to right click on any key frame and enter a numeric that way. Im not sure how many other folks are going to request it, but I sure loved and needed that function in FCP and Avid.
