Audigy 2 Front Drive in Audigy 2

Hi:
I have an Audigy 2 ZS Sound Card and an Audigy 2 Front Dri've. I want to know if I can connect the Audigy 2 Front Dri've to the Audigy 2 ZS Sound Card.
Thank you.

Both are Audigy 2 cards so, ...
(As stated here many times alraedy, Audigy I/O Dri've won't work w/ Audigy 2 cards.)

  • Compatibility Between Audigy 2 Drive and Audigy 2 ZS GAMER C

    Greetings,
I had a question about compatibility between an Audigy 2 Dri've and an Audigy 2 ZS Card.
Specifically, the Sound Blaster Audigy 2 Platinum Sound Card and the Sound Blaster Audigy2 ZS GAMER Edition Sound Card (SB0350).
Is the Audigy2 ZS GAMER Sound Card compatible with the Audigy 2 Platinum Dri've?
If this particular question has already been addressed in another thread, my apologies.
    Thanks,
    Benwajones

I searched (on "external" and "bay," but not "dri've" before I posted) but did not see this message. Is the reverse possible - that is a Audigy original dri've and an Audigy 2ZS sound card?

  • Word on Audigy 2 drive

Creative previously said that there would be a certified non beta driver for Audigy 2 cards, but I still only see the beta driver under Vista 32bit. Are they delayed or in some other location for download?

One of the Forum Admin's from Creative said the driver for all of us Audigy 2 customers with Vista?should be coming out in the next few days.. Creative labs didn't give a date.. Hopefully the drivers come out on Friday if not later this evening or tonight.

  • Driver for Audigy Advanced MB for windows 2

    Hi,
Will really appreciate if some can provide me a link to download a driver for Audigy Advanced MB for windows 2000
    I am novice in computers.
I had purchased a dell M330 system that came with pre-installed drivers loaded and windows vista.
With the system I got a CD.On the CD it is printed as Sound Blaster..... Audigy...Advanced MB.
I changed my OS to Windows 2000 server, now the problem is there is no sound. I tried to use the CD that came with the system, however, the message informs me that I need to install a sound driver. I don't know which sound card I have; but looking at CD I assumed to be Audigy Advanced MB integrated sound card.
I could not find the driver on the your creative website.
    Can someone help me.
    Thanks

    Can someone pls help. Thanks

  • [Front FireWire Port] Audigy 2 SB1394 correct pinout nee

    Hello all,
I have a Creative SoundBlaster Audigy 2 card (not ZS, not Platinum, just the original Audigy 2) with the IEEE394 internal port (SB394). There are 9 pins on it ( row of 5 and of 4) and I'm pretty sure I can connect the front FireWire port of my Antec SX040BII case to it. The Antec SX040BII FireWire cable consists of 6 individual connectors :
    VP = PowerVG = GroundTPA+ = Twisted Pair A Channel Positi'veTPA- = Twisted Pair A Channel Negati'veTPB+ = Twisted Pair B Channel Positi'veTPB- = Twisted Pair B Channel Negati've
Creative told me it was not possible and not intended for that purpose and suggested me to buy an expensi've Audigy front panel... Yeah right.
I know many users reported to have it hooked up successfully. But I've found so many different and contradictory layouts for that card in these forums and others that I don't know what to do now. Users with an Audigy 2 and an Antec case (preferrably the SX040BII) or Creative techs, could you please indicate me the EXACT pinout so I can hookup this front FireWire port to it ?
    As follow :
    Audigy 2 internal SB394
    [ 2 3 4 5]
    [6 7 8 9 ]

it is the "Internal connectors such as TAD, CD SPDIF, AUX etc" selection, and then you can see the pin layout. My guess is that it is the small group of pins on the left that you are looking for.

  • Audigy 2 driv

i just reformatted my hard dri've and i lost the disk that came with sound card that has the drivers for it and this freaking website wont give me the drivers only updates that require the drivers already. so where the heck am i supposed to get the drivers from?

i took my sound card out to see exactly what it is, model number SB0090 (with no M or G at the end)
when i search the site by model number there is no SB0090, theres an SB0090M and SB0090G, both are some type of Audigy 2, but every time i download an audigy 2 driver, when i try to install it, it says"Setup could not detect any Sound Blaster Audigy 2/Sound Blaster Audigy on your system.
Please ensure that your Sound Blaster hardware is properly installed before running this Setup program.
    Setup will now exit."
and dont tell me that "its not in all the way" or anything like that i've taken it out and put it back in many times, i've tried it on 3 different slots on my mother board it keeps saying this and every time i turn on my computer it says windows detected new hardware so i know that it's being detected by windows so wtf is the problem? in the device manager its there under "Other Devices" as "Multimedia Audio Controller"
when i do a search for drivers it comes up with nothing and when when i try to install any driver it doesnt work.

  • New Driver for Audigy 2 NX - No 44.1Khz output ?

I installed the latest driver(.0.0099 - 26-Feb-0) for my Audigy 2 NX soundcard running on Windows 7. This the first time I am using the NX on Windows 7.
Everything is working fine, except I notice that in the "Output Rate" dropdown selection (that appears in the Windows "Advanced" tab under Properties of the playback device) there is no option for 6bit 44.Khz. The lowest is 48Khz. So does this mean a 44.Khz signal will always get resampled to 48Khz ? This is for the *analog* output only, not digital(spdif).

Re: New Driver for Audigy 2 NX - No 44.Khz output ?Hi dudl
My name is Felippe from Brazil. I bought an use Audigy 2 NX, that didn?t come with the Instalation and Applications CD. So I started looking for the drivers and applications to install. I installed the beta driver. I managed to install the sound card with it. The problem is the applications. Some of them I did the download (wave studio, creative mediaplayer), but the EAX CONSOLE I couldn?t install. So I tryed to install the Support Pack 3.8 that you published, with no success. The error code is "-6003". As I do not know much about computers, I ask you to help me. I work with music, voice recording, and EAX CONSOLE is really useful, since I do not know any program to replace. Well, I wait your response as soon as possible. Thank you. Felippe

  • Problems with the Vista Driver for Audigy 2

    Hello erverybody,
today I installed Vista Ultimate 32bit. With the result that the applications and drivers of my Creative CD don't work. I downloaded the new Vista Driver for my Audigy 2 ZS but I must find out that there are no DTS, EAX and also no CMSS 3D Support integrated is.
I could only choose the option CMSS in the audio console but no CMSS 3D as i have it under windows xp.
My question to Creative, is it planed that these features will be supported with vista in the future or can i take my soundcard to the garbage ?

There is some kind of unofficial driver version located here: I'm currently downloading it and I'll?try. Part http://files.filefront.com/SBAXWXCD+R2partrar/;8604885;/Part2: http://files.filefront.com/SBAXWXCD+R2part2rar/;8606942;/?Since there seems no official way of using my hardware's?DTS and Dolby Digital decoding function on Vista and this is common for all Audigy. I have Audigy 2 ZS plat. , I love?this card It sounds best in the world but Creative has failed to satisfy its customers on Windows Vista. A company has to make its customers feel special, I don't think I'm going to buy another Creative product?if this issue is not resolved.

  • Audigy 2 card with Audigy Front Panel not worki

I've just bought a used audigy 2 card with an audigy front panel. I have installed everything and have sound from the card to my speakers.
The front panel has a blinking light on the optical out and when I plug headphones into the panel, I can hear static and control the volume of the static from the knob on the panel.
I can't hear anything else through the headphone jack and can't get any input signal using the line 2 input on the front panel.
Connections and drivers appear to be OK, am I missing something......
    Thanks,Dave.

    David,
If you go into the surround mixer or Windows mixer do you see a listing for the front panel inputs (line in2/mic in2, Aux 2, etc)? If so, are any of them muted? If you go to start/programs/Creative/SB Audigy/Audio HQ/Device Settings, do you show a headphone tab? If so what options are enabled in there?
Double check your ribbon cable connection and maybe even swap sides of the cable.

They should be compatible, but it wouldn't be officially supported. Should work the same as the other dri've though.

  • Audigy 4 vs. Audigy 2 va

Hi. I'm about to buy a set of 5. speakers, and I was looking at this site to figure out which sound card I would buy. I narrowed it down to the Audigy 4 and the Audigy 2 Value, but for the life of me I cannot tell the difference between the two. I will be using it for pretty much only gaming. I was comparing the 2 on the Best Buy website, and noticed that A4 doesn't state that it supports a subwoofer. Is this true or a typo? Also, I have to be able to use a mic. Is it true that the 2 value is the only one that supports a mic? I cannot spend more than $00. In ya'lls opinion, which card is better for gaming etc, and meets my requirements? Thanks.

I believe the Audigy 4 comes with a remote control unit. Other than that, it is practically the same with the 2 Value. Maybe the Software is a bit better looking, but it is still an Audigy 2.
Both support upto 7. speaker configurations, so a subwoofer is offcourse supported. They both include a separate microphone input.
If you want the remote, go for the Audigy 4, otherwise stick to the 2.

  • What is difference between Audigy 2 LS and Audigy 2

As topic say what is difference between Audigy 2 LS and Audigy 2 ZS?
I sow Audigy 2 LS in my local store but cant find info on creative.com about it.

    Z_unit,
The Audigy 2 ZS is our current top of the line audio card. It supports DTS decoding and is capable of 7. output. I am not aware of an Audigy 2 LS, however we have an Audigy LS which is a 5. capable sound card that is based on our original Audigy's features. Was the card that you were looking at in a retail box or was it in a brown box?

  • Audigy 2 zs platinum front drive bay mic2 not worki

hey all I finally got my AD_EXT wire to make my audigy 2 card work with the front dri've bay but the problem now is I am in vista ultimate 32bit, all drivers installed right, all cables plugged in but the mic2 is not working....... I'm using a dynamic mic Samson Q7 microphone with the XLR cable. This microphone I heard does not need a preamp so it should powered up.
I called creative and the guy supposed to send me a article to read to fix it but so far no luck in my email about it.
anyone staff members here know the link to that article?

Maybe this will help out:? Under Control Panel ---> Sounds and Audio Devices --> Hardware I have the following list. The MPU-40, the unsupported game port, creative SB Audigy 2 ZS, Audio codecs, legacy Audio Drivers, and the Creative Game port were all uninstalled prior to my latest re-installation. When the windows install wizard popped up, I cancelled, so everything on that list was installed using the latest creative ZS Platinum driver for x64.
