Audigy 2 NX + Leadtek Winfast DTV Don

Hello,
since i have installed drivers of my new sound card for notebook, i have occured problems.
When i am looking on digital TV, the system is randomly shutting down after 5-30mins with NMI error or driver(probably driver of TV card) error. The problem started when i have installed my sound card drivers. System is 00% stable in other situation, problem is only with TV, can anyone help me pls?

Are you running latest VGA drivers? I've had a couple of problems with the Leadtek Winfast drivers on my desktop PC - one of the driver versions caused a BSOD when I used my printer - upgrading to a later driver revision resolved this problem for me.
If you're not already running latest VGA drivers, try updating those, too - http://www.leadtek.com.tw

  • FM2-A75MA-E35 + Leadtek WinFast DTV 2000 DS Plus = no USB?

    Hi guys
Bit of an issue - I bought some new bits and pieces for a HTPC and all works fine until I put the tuner card in, then the PC powers on but gives me no display. The monitor comes out of standby (green light) and the normal POST sounds are heard, but the screen stays black. After much testing and pain I have found that disabling USB in the BIOS is the only way to get a picture to display while the tuner card is installed...but I cant do anything without USB! Well...I can, but no USB is unacceptable really...
    PC details in sig.
    Things i've done...
Had a sinking feeling the PSU wasnt powerful enough so disconnected and 3 drives so only mobo had power (with tuner on board). No difference but rules out OS as an issue.
Updated BIOS and everything to most recent. No change.
Tried all 3 video outputs (HDMI, DVI, VGA). Nadda.
Changed all BIOS settings relating to intergrated graphics (Auto, Dual, etc), wasnt a whole lot I could do here. Nothing.
Tried a PCI-E 5450 card and disabled onboard. No good.
Tested tuner in my main rig, boots up and Win7 finds it nps - just wanted drivers. Issue not the tuner card.
Tried a PCI NIC in the mobo and HTPC boots up fine. Issue not the slot.
Disabled everything onboard in the BIOS - Got a picture!!
Cleared BIOS to get back into it, disabled everything except USB...failed again
Cleared BIOS again, enabled everything except USB, got a picture....but no USB...?!
So it seems a USB + Tuner card clash...well PCI tuner at least, or maybe just this model.
Bit bummed i've spent about $500 on new parts for it not to come together - hope someone could be arsed reading my novel here and has an idea. Not sure what to try next.
    Any help appreciated !!
Edit - Final Question....if I go to BIOS 2.0/2.1 does it only support Richland chips??

Try the board out of case on a non-conductive surface with basic components and then try tuner and usb.
Not sure where/how it would be grounding and causing a fault only to USB....but im willing to try anything atm!
Had it going last night and installed the drivers + software with USB disabled and using a PS2 keyboard...quite frankly it was rather painful. I didnt actually connect it to a TV ant and test so I will try that this afternoon to ensure the card works correctly.

No, it will support all previously supported Trinity cpus as well.
Would you suggest going to 2.1?

  • How to enable 5.1 audio on Winfast DTV 2000 using XtremeMu

I have the XtremeMusic and the Winfast DTV 2000H. How do I get 5. audio from the digital channels running on AC3?

    Issues with configuring printer:
My printer doesn't have Resume button as one is required in step 3. There is no Network Page button either. It has only Wifi, Cancel and Power On buttons.
According to instructions about configuring pc, does it mean that in order for the printer to get assigned IP and subnet mask, I must configure my laptop as a router? Current printer's SSID shown in connections list is HP-Print-28-LaserJet 1102, why should my laptop's SSID must be HPSETUP and how to change my printer's SSID then??
Why there are two different SSID options on config sheet printed, one in Network Configuration Section, another in Direct Print Configuration? What is the difference between these two and why IP provided in Direct Print Configuration doesn't open EWS?

    Thanks for all your help.
I tried that driver already...same result, but no matter.
I got this sorted today...went and bought 20 mts of ethernet cable, works a treat.
I've come to the conclusion that the USB WiFi Dongle is Kaput.
It looked like it worked in my laptop but this is already WiFi so I guess the new software was just using
    the existing connection.
Dongle was never recognised in the desktop PC I wanted to use it in and in my other desktop was recognised as
Wireless USB Device but after trying to install it got to the same scenario where Windows could never find better drivers.
Just hope Ebuyer will take it back or the £8.50 it cost might bankrupt me!
    Cheers

  • No sound with Audigy 2 ZS and WinFast PVR softwa

Hi! I run Windows Vista build 5744 and WinFast PVR software with WinFast PVR 2000 tv tuner, the problem is, when I run li've tv I can`t get li've sound just when I record, it`s recording with sound. In Vista Media Center it`s all ok.
    Help please!

Still no reply? I d like to make it straight. My SB Audigy 2 ZS is connected through analog to creative 5. speaker system. The speakers are calibrated so I can hear surround music in media players or in All games which supports EAX. (e.g. Doom3, Half-Life 2). The only problem I have with good-old Diablo 2. The game supports Dolby Surround ( Pro-logic?) and EAX2. I enabled 3D sound and environmental Effects but I hear sound only from front speakers (L+F, center, subw). The rear speakers are quiet. Do you have any expirience with this issue? Do I need an external decoder through SPDIF for DD surround? The cinematics are encoded in dolby surround so Audigy might not to recognize it's Too many questions...
The Blizzard support is not replying..

  • 915p Combo and Leadtek Winfast PVR2000 - No Sound on live playback

Has anyone attempted to install a (PCI card) PVR2000 onto a 915p Combo board and utilise the onboard sound rather than a dedicated Sound Card? I've attached the PVR card to the motherboard via the CD-In connector (JAUD1 or something), but only get sound when playing back captured TV or Radio. This suggests that the card is working, but the motherboard can't hear it through the connector. I've tried replacing the cable with one that definitely works and updated the Leadtek and Onboard Sound drivers, but to no avail.
    Can anyone help?
    Thanks!

Download the latest drivers for the C-Media soundchip, PVR2000 and the latest version of WinFast PVR. After that go to the Configuration Screen in Winfast and select CD-Player for Audio-in &Audio-out. In Cmedia Xear->Mixer select CD-Player in Rec and click the button that looks likea speaker (a hammer in earlier versions and select Monitoring).

  • SB Audigy 4 causes system to freeze

    Hello,
As the title suggests, I've got a problem with my Audigy 4. From time to time it will freeze my computer completely, often creating a sound loop or some wierd screeching noises. It mostly happens when playing certain games, but also sometimes in Windows or when watching video/TV. However it is not possible to predict if and when it will happen, as there are no signs of crashing before the actual freeze and it can happen after 5 minutes as well as after several hours.
The same happened by the way with my previous (completely different) system, I just didn't realize that it was the soundcard that caused those crashes...
My chipset and graphics drivers are up to date, as well as Win XP and DirectX. Of course I am also using the newest SB driver (2.8.000).
I know there are already plenty of threads about that issue, but well... it's not quite easy to get an overview.
I don't know if this is just a driver issue, some kind of hardware defect or... whatever.
    So... I'd appreciate any help.
    This is my current system:
CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition
Mainboard: Gigabyte GA-MA770T-UD3P (AMD 770 chipset)
    RAM: 2*2GB Corsair DDR3 333 ?
    PSU: Enermax LibertyECO 500W
GPU: Sapphire Toxic Radeon HD 4890
HD: Western Digital Caviar Blue 640GB
    TV: Leadtek Winfast PVR2000

Thanks for the hint, I gave it a try.
    But unfortunately it didn't help.

  • Problems with SB Audigy 2

    Hello.
I know this is a very known problem, but it also is a very annoying one. I used my SB now for some time without these problems. But when I changed, my motherboard an my Graphicscard, I suddely had scratching and cracking on my speakers (one or two per minute).
    My Hardware:
-Asus A7N8X-E Deluxe with AMD Athlon XP 2000+
    -G RAM Infineon
    -Leadtek Winfast 6600GT-TDH (AGP)
    -2x Realtek Ethernetcard (00Mbit)
-PCI IDE controller (this ist not the problem! cracking remains even when I remove the IDE controller.)
    -Windows 2000 Pro SP4
    -PS/2 mouse and keyboard
-and of course: SB Audigy 2 ZS
At first I noticed it in a game, and tried a lot of things to solve it, nothing worked.
    I...
...tried other PCI slots (5, 4, and 3), to have nothing shareing the same "IRQ-line". (Now it is installed at PCI-slot 4, only shareing IRQ with the onboard G-Bit-Lan (according to manual), which is deactivatet.
...have the newest drivers for my Audigy.
...have the newset BIOS for my board.
...tried to reduce the volume, mute other channels, turning down base.
    Nothing helped!
I noticed that the problem is not only ingame. Even in Windows, and even when there is actually NO AUDIO PLAYED(!), I have such noises. I found out that, these scratches are directly connectet to typing on may keyboard (or holding keys). I've heared that a USB keyboard might solve this problem. But today (here in germany) isn't a workingday, so i can't buy one. An actually i don't want to buy one, beacause in my opinion PS/2 > USB, and i don't see why to spend money when my soundcard has some error.
This is not what I excpect from an Highend/Highprice product! Please Creatve (or the other boardmembers) help me. Or take back this card, with this failure it is absolutely unuseable.
    Thanks so far
    (excuse my bad english)

hmm.....don't think I understand what problem you have fter reading your post. Have you disable CMSS?Message Edited by justaguy on 0-04-200706:50 PM

  • WinFast PVR 1 minute of audio

I've been slaming my head against my desk for the last two hours - and I haven't gained a clue yet...
The introduction of a WinFast 2000 XP PVR/FM Card two months ago and it was working great.
Now when I record or just watch TV, I lose audio 1 minute or so. Closing the app and reopening brings audio back.
I've adjusted, Uninstalled, and re-reinstalled every software and hardware bit I could. I even picked up an SB Audigy card to eliminate the possibility its an issue with the Mobo... so I ask the enlightened readers here - ?
I have the latest drivers from nVidia's site, and same with the leadtek WinFast card.
I don't have any other A/V software installed (other than MP 9) and it seems that Media Player 9 plays fine for hours at a time...

5.) TV2000xp. sound cuts off after 20 to 30 second of watching a program.
Norton anti-virus 2003 is causing that problem because it is protecting MSN messenger. The easiest thing to do is to disable Norton AntiVirus from protecting MSN Instant Messenger under the "Instant Messenger" options under Norton anti-virus 2003.
I've disabled the MSN protection (I uninstalled MSN IM a long time ago...) and it hasn't happened again. Another problem fixed by disabling something in NAV.  X(

  • Audigy 2 ZS hardware installs OK but not recognized by applicatio

    Hi,
Installation of an Audigy 2 ZS on my (WinXP SP2) PC is driving me nuts! The hardware, drivers and application software all seem to install OK. But when I try to use the card, I get the following error message:
"The audio device supported by this application is not detected. The application will exit."
There are no problems indicated in the Device Manager and good sound is generated by the card from the Welcome screen so it's not hardware related. I've tried uninstalling and re-installing the drivers and applications several times and I have used registry washers to eliminate all past traces of the sound card from the registry - still no success.
There seems to be numerous reports of this sort of issue in these forums with SP2 so there must be some sort of fundamental compatibility issue with this card.
My system is: Gigabyte 7N400Pro2 MB, Athlon 200+, 52MB RAM, ATI 9500, Leadtek Winfast XP2000TV Expert, and (at the moment) Audigy 2ZS.
I had heard that there was a conflict with some of the Winfast drivers and so I've uninstalled this and ran the ENUM fix from Microsoft - but still no success with the Audigy card.
Anybody got any suggestions as to how to proceed or should I be thinking of buying a different sound card?
    Thanks
    Andy T.

Many apologies - this whole issue was my fault.
When installing the drivers, the user is presented with three options to choose the soundcard physically installed. You have to read these options VERY CAREFULLY or else (like me) you may choose the wrong one and the card won't work - Duh!
I really did want to re-install Windows anyway
    Thanks
    Andy T.

  • Creative Audigy lack of specifics and vaguen

First of all, let me just say that i've never known a hardware card maker that can be so popular
while at the same time be some of the most incredibly vague people on the planet. Its absolutely
    amazing. Case example:
    Exhibit A. I'm a computer tech and I come
across an Audigy card in computer that i'm
fixing so I need the *correct* drivers.
Exhibit B. I have an Audigy cd-rom disk from apreviously owned card. I try to install the driverbut they're obviously incorrect but ALAS! the
cd-rom i'm holding say its for an Audigy.
Exhibit C. The drivers don't work correctlyso I check my windows Control Panel to seeif theres a way to *specifically" identifyit but the only thing it says is "Sound BlasterAudigy". Lovely. So, which brand could it be?
Exhibit D. Ok, I need the correct drivers fora *specific* Audigy brand and I go to the Creativewebsite to do a search for Audigy drivers. Whatdo I find? About 0 different Audigy cards. Great. Here we go with the lack of specifics and vagueness....
Exhibit E. So I proceed to take the card out ofthe computer and look at the model number toidentify it. It says "Soundblaster Audigy Model SB0090" and below that it also says"Audigy SB394 Advanced HD". So i'm thinkinghmmmm could this be an SB0090 or an SB394 butI soon find out its an SB0090 because an SB394is a "Firewire chip", which leads me to....
Exhibit F. I find a link on the Creative websitethe says "Identify your product" and behold Ifind the SB0090 listed but its only listed as "Sound Blaster Audigy card with gold jack connectorand 394 port"..... so its off to the loony bin again.Again, which brand Creative? Still theres 0 differentbrands and still no way to specifically identify it!
Exhibit G. Maybe I can tell by looking atthe pictures of the products provided on thewebsite. What do I find? Several differentcards that all look the same! They have the "gold jack connectors and 394 port" aswell as the "Advanced HD".
So what is it's A "Gamer"? An "LS"? A "Platinum"or could it be an Audigy 2? WAKE UP CREATIVE,YOUR SOOOO VAGUE! Heres proof in summary:
. Windows Control Panel - "Sound Blaster Audigy"But which brand?
    2. On the card itself - says "Sound Blaster AudigyModel SB0090".... but leads to nowhere becauseCreative's "Identify Your Product" only says:
    3. "gold jack connectors 394" but theresmore than one brand (Firewire) that look the
    same in the pictures!
And here I am still with an unknown "Audigy" brand and no drivers that I can be sure willcorrectly work. Amazing, because if I were the owner of this card instead of the computertech, i'd probably throw your "Audigy" in the garbage (but i'd probably hit it with a sledgehammer a few times first).Message Edited by ZauR on 2-04-2004 09:55 PM

    ZauR,
The Audigy downloads are listed by the packages that they came in. This was done to insure that customers that purchased a specific type of card (say an Audigy Gamer) would know that they were going to the right place. The driver pages for all but the LS is the same. So it isn't really a case of being vague, we are actually being rather specific (as a single listing for "Audigy" would be vague). Since there was never a retail package that was just an "Audigy" there is no listing like that.
For the SB0090, I would suggest going to the Audigy Gamer download page (it is what I use for my SB0090) but really any of the pages except for the LS will work. The Audigy LS is the only Audigy card that requires different drivers and software.
