Audigy 2 - what to expe
As I use my pc mainly for gaming I guess Vista + DX0 will eventually be a necessary upgrade for me. I havent upgraded yet solely because of what Ive read here about creative / vista compatibility. I have an audigy 2. Is it fair to sum up my options like this: There is no official driver for my card since march, and people do not seem to recommend that one, however, I can extract from the newly released x-fi drivers. If I want eax support I have to pay for Alchemy Is eax dead, vista doesnt support it, will coming games abandon it then With no Eax or free support for my card, would it be wiser for me simply to use my onboard sound
Looks like another person that believe what they read on the internet. As far as drivers go, yes you can use the X-Fi drivers and guess what, they actually work. Also looks like you haven't spent too much time reading this forum. As for drivers these,

came out yesterday. They are the X-Fi drivers only modded to install easily on Audigy's, no need for extracting and manually installing.
As far as Alchemy goes same thing. You can pay for it if you want, or you could take the time to search this forum and you will find that it too has been modded,

granted it isn't on the first page, but a search would have found it. And as far as EAX goes, it not being usable in Vista only applies to DS3D games, OpenAL games are unaffected.
I don't know about you but for gaming I'll take the drivers and Alchemy over the crap that passes for onboard sound any day.

Choppy sound in Windows 7 on Sound Blaster Audigy SE
Hey all,
I recently upgraded to Windows 7 and I love it with the exception of my sound card. Ever since I upgraded, all my sounds are super choppy (like every 5 seconds it chops). Of course I installed the new creative windows 7 drivers but it didn't fix the problem. Anyone have any ideas as to what could be causing this or other possible solutions to try?

But of course you wouldnt want to do that or else you wouldnt have graphics accerelation. (You can't play video games and even watch any kind of video)
For instance you freshly setup windows, dont install any nvidia/ati drivers, just with the big screen, install the creative drivers u wont have any problem with your sound.
That's why I said that there's a kind of confliction between graphics interface and creative drivers. Because when u install any kind of display driver, crackling sound starts again.
There's no solution for this except updated SB drivers. And that's why people get mad to creative on this forum. (Not only on this forum of course, it's a worldwide madness) -
DO NOT install this driver for Sound Blaster Audigy SE, or Sound Blaster Audigy Va
I have two creative products that work fine under xp. But since installing vista my sBli've platinum doesn't work at all, i find out that creative are no longer supporting this card for vista. Fair enough... So I'm waiting for the SB audigy driver update and behold I read that i shouln't install the driver for my other Sound Blaster card, Audigy SE.
what are creative trying to do? does'nt look like a well run company.
And from what I've read what is the point of getting a card that is suppoted by the new driver as other people seem to be complaining that this new driver doesn't enable all the features as under Xp.If I am right your Audigy is the first Audigy (EMU0k2) soundcard that was launched by Creative Labs. You need the drivers for the audigy series. For driver/application updates: Latest downloads Audigy Platinum
For a proper install, you may use the tools Driver Cleaner or Driver Sweeper in Windows Safe Mode to clean up the older drivers that are left in the system which can cause the problems you are having now; you can find these tools at Guru3D (under 'General Utilities').
After that You can install the drivers including the software/applications by using the install cd which is supplied with your Audigy soundcard, and then install the driver updates manually afterwards.
Or you can try out the new Daniel_K's driverpack (software/applications included, install cd not needed): SB Audigy Support Pack 2.8.000EQ (08/22/2008)

You are using the optical output on the Audigy dri've bay aren't you? The digital output on the back of the Audigy soundcard is not an optical output, it's for digital coax. -
Soundblaster audigy player ret
hello i got a audigy player retail sb0900 and when i go to the audighq and take i see sb audigy [D400] but i have installed my computer again and now i see sb audigy [FFE0] what can it be but i installed te drivers that came from my audigy card. and now i see that i am confused. i have never see that before never ever normaly when i reinstal my pc i don't have that problem
The numbers and letters in brackets don't refer to the model of your card, so it's nothing to worry about. Those are related to the resources the card is using. It's not a problem, it's prefectly normal.

Iphone does not appear in itunes. _ALL_ recommended steps were taken to no avail
I'm using windows 7 pro 64-bit, itunes 10.3.1. I have an iphone 3gs running ios v. 4.3.3. All software and drivers are up-to-date on my computer.
When I open itunes and plug in my iphone, itunes hangs for roughly two solid minutes. After which, my iphone does not appear in itunes. The same thing happens if I reverse the order and plug in my iphone before opening itunes.
I have read and followed all and I mean all the instructions in multiple articles on the apple support site to try and resolve the issue, and nothing has fixed the problem. My impression is that this is a bug in the latest itunes release since the problem started after updating to the latest version of itunes and did not occur previously. Nothing else changed with either my computer or my iphone since then. In all other ways, my computer, all USB devices connected to it, and all other software installed on it function perfectly.
Here are the things I have done that DO NOT RESOLVE MY PROBLEM:
- restart apple mobile device service and verify it is configured correctly
- restart ipod service and verify it is configured correctly
- restart my computer
- reset my iphone
- verify that my USB drivers are up-to-date and all USB ports are functioning correctly
- verify that my iphone DOES correctly appear in windows explorer and the device manager
- verify that my security software (norton 360) is updated to the latest version
For the record I am not running any third-party phone software.
Here is the only thing I have found that works, however, it works ONLY for the first time I open itunes afterwards. After syncing ONE TIME, the next time I open itunes, the problem comes back exactly like before.

I honestly don't expect anyone to have a solution to this issue, but I will be thrilled if there is one. Need help in framing an SQL query

Requirement is that
Let’s say I have a table say X
I am passing two input params from UI and in DAO i am querying these input prams against the table X(has c1,c2 as columns ) (as it has two columns mapping the input params A,B from UI).
if either one or Both of the input params matches ,only then i should fetch the records accordingly. It's understood that there won't be a scenario that both input params are null from UI.
I have three conditions here,
1. A match against X, B doesnt Match
2. B match against X, A doesnt Match
3. Both A & B match against X
if i use let's say,
SELECT *FROM X WHERE (c1= A OR c2= B) .
• if A match against X B doesnt Match It is fetching all the records matching A - requirement fullfilled
• B match against X A doesnt Match It is fetching all the records matching B- requirement fullfilled.
• Both A & B match against X It is fetching all the records from the table matching the first condition (which here is A) . requirement not fullfilled.
I am thinking of using the following query but I need to frame it in a way that based on ACHK & BCHK we need to add the conditions.

Iphone does not appear in itunes when connected to XP computer
I have the latest version of itunes and iphone software. When I connect my iphone 3GS through a USB to my computer (windows XP), the computer recognises the device as a hard drive in "my computer" and I can import photos. However Itunes when opened up no longer recognises the phone and so I cannot sync or set parameters etc. This has happened with my childrens ipods as well on a different XP computer. I have used several usb leads but same problem. Any ideas? Many thanks. Mark

I am trying to export,
c:\oracle\product\10.1.0\oradata\ord\example01
When it states specify the full path and name for the export file on the database server machine. I loaded
c:\oracle\product\10.1.0\oradata\ord\example01
I got the Error report directory does not exist.
I created by SQL that path as a dir,
and Grant it read write.
How do I get export files to work ?????try it from a command prompt and see what happens.

Really Choppy Sound in Windows 7
?Hi guys, i want to share my problem and seek a possible fix. So thats my problem: I get really CHOPPY sound in games, outside everything is fine, everything is OK, but in-game its like listening to a vynil played a thousand times. My rig is the following: Win7 x64, 4GB RAM, Nvidia 9800GT GPU, XtremeMusic installed on my PCI slot, latest Creative drivers (drivers only, nothing else). The problem happens in games that are not EAX compatible: Battlefield Bad Company 2, Left 4 Dead 2. Put in simple: it happens randomly, it affects all games. Sometimes i get it fixed in L4D2 by changing the output a couple of times (i.e 2>5.>7.>2) but most of the times i have to exit the game and pray to start clean. I tried daniel_k drivers but with them i randomly loose the whole sound output and i have to change through the Working modes to get it back. If anything in summary: i regret purchasing this piece of **bleep**. But still i'll welcome any help to fix my issues.

IIRC, that's normal for the Audigy Value. You should have the Creative Equalizer application. That takes the place of the treble and bass controls. It's more complex of course. -
Hi, I have an iPhone 3G. I had it unlocked by Apple, now my Apps don't work. They open then immediatly close again. I have tried: syncing, reseting, reloading the Apps. Can anyone help!?
settings->store and make sure your appleID is set correctly if it's not then what you exp would happen

Stored Measure shouldn't aggregate
I have a stored measure (lbs sold) that should remain a static value in my model. I don't want the value to aggregate or change as I roll-up on the model. right now lbs sold is starting out accurate at the lower level, but as I roll-up, it sums up. H
