Audigy 2 ZS and Windows 7 RTM drivers

I was wondering about Audigy 2 ZS drivers for Windows 7 RTM. Any information on them? I want to get the card fully (or as close to fully) working on Windows 7 but the most important part is that it supports (my)?7. speakers.

Creative's latest should do fine (v2.8.00), but be aware that there's a problem with playing MP3s in Windows Media Player while in 5. mode (prolly applies to 7. mode aswell) - I can only confirm this is the case in the Win7 R though, may work fine in other versions of Windows.
Or use Dan K's, but with his, despite re-enabling CMSS2 and Stereo Surround for the various speaker configs, his packs screws up CMSS/CMSS2 when in headphones mode (which personally is the only time I use CMSS - love me some virtualized 5.).
I'd go with Creatives if you game and use headphones mode much.

*Microphone , Audigy Se and Windows 7 64bit's I have wasted several hours today trying to resolve this issue upto and including trawling the internet for a solution and completely removing and reinstalling drivers from disc and updating twice. Ultimately I downloaded an update from WIndows - Absolutely nothing, nada works!
I have the Mic Jack for my headphones plugged into the blue line in port - tried and tested on my system card (which works) but I consistently get Line--in Currently Unavailablke for this port suggesting that Creative are totally out to lunch on this one.
I have right-clicked and set levels, tried setting it as default, etc, etc, etc... nothing.
Has anyone succesfully got their mic to work uunder Win 7 64bit's
- Love how it says on the box that Vista nad WIn 7 are supported,,,? guess the partially bit was omitted!
I loathe wondows on any given day of the week but my Mac is currently down so I have no choice but to use this, my wifes machine... NOthiong but lost time whereas if I were on the mac I would be using that time producti'vely, with working software too I might add!
Hope someone has a fix for this because this machine is just one reboot away from going out the frogging window!!!

Are you using this driver? Are you getting no sound from your microphone or is nothing being recorded?
Please go to Control Panel, Sound make sure that the Microphone option is set as default and that the mic levels are adjusted accordingly, not mute.

Have Audigy 2 ZX Windows 64bit drivers been released? If so where are they located?

Audigy 4 and Windows 7

Audigy 4 and Windows 7xAm I basically SOL in waiting for a working driver for the Audigy 4 on Win7 x64. I have tried both official releases from Creative and several releases from DanielK as well, and none of them fix the crackling/popping noises from this sound card. The most recent driver from Creative lessened the popping a bit, but it became quite noticeable if I kept music playing while entering a game.
I ask because I am on the fence about cutting my losses and not dealing with Creative or their products ever again, or actually waiting for a working driver.
I have read over the thread about Nvidia and SLI, and while I do have an Nvidia 8800GTS, I do not have SLI.
If anyone could provide me an answer as to if this problem is still trying to be fixed or if Creative has just abandoned the Audigy cards altogether, it would be appreciated. Thanks

PC Octomber 2009 ->> AsRock P55 Pro , Core i7 860 , the same Windows 7 64bit RC build 700 and the same sound card Creative Audigy SE with the same drivers? i have problems when i liste music on any player.
Symptom = i listen to music and when i open any random picture/program the music hiccup/hangs for a milisecond.
i tried every driver on this site and every setting on the audigy control manager , nothing worked.
i tried to update de DirectX .... i can't find any cure to my problem

What's going on ? Your support.lenovo.com site is slow like a snail.
It's impossible to download fresh drivers.
Can anyone explain, where can I find ALL drivers for T530 (2392-3RG) ?

Intel chipset (USB3.0 must be working!!!)
Windows 8 is RTM already !!! 2 months RTM !!!

note that it may be slower to load at certain times of day as described above.
regarding Windows 8 drivers, i looked at another oem's driver support pages and Lenovo seems to have very similar numbers of drivers released. even though the OS has been RTM, full driver support provided by any vendor may not be available until the official retail release on Friday and the weeks following, especially for models not preloaded with Win8.

Audigy SE and Windows Vista Is

Hi:?In my computer, I have the SB Audigy SE card. I did a full install (not an upgrade) of Vista Ultimate in January. At this time, I had no issues with my sound. Everything worked as it should. Recently, and it is hard to specify when -- but it may have been around the time I downloaded and installed the "Vista" driver for the soundcard -- the sound on my computer got noticably lower - even when at 00%. Whereas, prior to this occurrence, when I put full power on my speakers and on the computer, the sound would result in 0/0. Now, when i put full power on my speakers and on the computer, the sound would be about a 4/0 (tops). I still hear all the sounds fine - no muddiness -- but it just is not loud (even at 00% volume).

Hi Scott! I hope you still check out this topic. I have Vista Ultimate as well. Believe the drivers that came with Vista, worked fine. I'm pretty sure they did. But with the driver as of July 09, 2007, my volume is very low. I, as well, have to turn my speakers and Windows volume up. I hope Creative can fix this problem, if possible. When I had XP, which I didn't use the July 09, 2007 driver. That driver is for XP and Vista, in one file. But there seems to be something wrong with it. It's mostly a case with Vista. I sure hope Creative reads this topic, or gets informed on it.

Creative Audigy 2 and Windows Vista: Sound volume turns down when I try to turn it

I have a strange problem with my audio in Vista. I have a Creative Audigy 2 and Creative 6700 speakers. My full system specification is below but please note I did not have this issue in my previous Vista build - its only happening since I did a reinstall. Anyway, when I swich on the speakers using the remote control unit for the 6700 speakers the sound comes on but then it turns down. I have to then increase the volume by a large amount for it to start playing sound again and then turn it down to listening volume. This issue is not application specific - it happens in everything: Winamp, WMP, games, etc etc?I'm using [color="#000000"]Creative Sound Blaster Audigy series Vista Driver 2.2.0002 and I've tried reinstall several times. I've tried doing diagnostic startup etc using msconfig in case something was conflicting and its still happening.

Have you checked the volume button? It might be physically stuck. To determine whether a hardware repair is needed, you need to follow these steps:
1. Try doing a hard reset:
Press and hold both the Home button and the Sleep/wake button simultaneously for about 15 seconds and release when the Apple logo appears.
After that: test the device to see whether the issue is solved.
2. If the issue is not solved, you should backup the device and restore it as new.
In that case, use: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4137
NB: set up as a NEW device because a software issue will be in the backup.
If the issue persists after restoring as new, you should offer the device for service.
If you get specific error messages/codes in iTunes when updating/restoring, check this: http://support.apple.com/kb/ts3694 for causes and solutions

Are you sure that you want to use Windows 7?
Dont forget that Windows 7 is only a beta version and it could include a lot of problems or something else.
I think the better solution would be Windows Vista or the older XP.
However, try to use the Windows Vista drivers that you can find on the Toshiba website or you search on external websites for drivers.

Trying to install Windows Vista but with no luck.
In the setup when starting from DVD it refuse to use the Windows XP drivers og don't find the harddisk without them. When installing from Windows XP it crashed in bluescreen after reboot when contifuing with the setup.
Have not been able to find and SATA/Raid nForce4 Windows Vista drivers, just for display and lan.
Anyone ?

Audigy 4 and Windows Vi

I'm using the March 2007 drivers on Vista Home Premium 32bit. I have 'What you hear'.But as soon as you select it as default (recording) everything becomes badly statically that you input from mic or games.So currently I have microphone set to default in recording so people can hear me and it doesn't rip their ear drums out on ventrilo :smileytongue: Should I be using this driver or another This one looks to be the most current. I have the same Audigy 4, only difference is I am running Vista 64 and using the X-Fi drivers,

If you want to give them a try just download the latest X-Fi driver, extract the downloaded exe with Winrar, open the extracted folder and locate the Drivers folder and then run the Setup found there.
BTW not sure about Ventrilo, but I do know that if you have What You Hear enabled with Teamspeak no one can hear you, but they can all hear themselves through your connection.

Audigy 4 and windows 7 x64 ever going to work together?

?for 2 weeks i've tried every combo of drivers. and bios updates for my mainboard.
Can i get my once so reliable audigy 4 card to work on windows 7 ? No.
my mainboard is asus p5kpl-am. disbaled on board sound and no joy.
I had trouble even in windows 7 finding the audigy card before i had to do a full REinstall to my annoyance!! of course It found it then. But it never worked with the latest drivers. get no sound out put and worse it crashed my system and wouldnt repair. so had to revert back to onbaord sound and reinstall again.
the card is fine i know this as i have chekd in otehr systems on XP. but is anyone else having similar probs with a similar system as me?
And yes I have 4gb Ram, why should this make a difference. and i have tried it with 2gb. No joy!!
Please help creative and shed any light on this issue . If i RMA my card will gjust get a new or refurbished Audigy4?

Audigy 2 and Windows Service Pack 2 Prob

Hi , well my problem is with the game Nascar 2003 season.
To start off with I have updated every possible driver I can think of.
The problem is when I hit the escape key to get out of the car it makes a screeching noise and the screen goes blue with white broken-up vertical lines ( like the mattrix). Then it goes blank and reboots.
I have tried all sorts of things, like I can put any other soundcard in and the problem goes away. I started removing programs. no help..then I removed SP2 and the problem went away.
So I decide to do a clean install of windows and went out and bought Ghost for a easy system restore
And again no problem untill SP2 is installed.
Also this is the only problem I am having and its only with this one game.

Your problem has nothing to do with SP2. Just take a look in the forums and you will find TONS of similair problems with Audigy cards.
Before you ask Creative for anwers, I will give you a few, they will give you:
Did you install the latest drivers?
Did you try moving the Soundcard to a different PCI slot?
The problem is probably your graphics card, have you tried replacing it's
Is your PC in the vicinity of a MicroWave oven?
Have you disabled your onboard soundcard?
Have you rebooted your PC?
Have you tried the soundcard in another PC?
Are you living near a nuclear powerplant?
Is your PC running hot?
The problem is your third party speakset! Have you tried the Creative ones?

Audigy SB and Windows 2003 Ser

I just installed Windows 2003 Server on my PC and the Soundblaster Audigy (Model SB0090) is not recognized by the OS. I can not locate drivers for Windows 2003 on Creative's website. Do these drivers exist or can I use other drivers?

Audigy SE and Windows 2000

under windows 2000, so I download the driver and the other fluff from the Creative site,?or so I thought, the driver never installed, I downloaded the package again same result., What is up? I have bought many creative products in the past, never any problems, until now. My SB000 in now reinstalled in my system awaiting results of this message, it still works, gets funky on line in record, the record level goes up all by itself and trashes my recordings (this is why I bought the Audigy) but it plays great!.

Which driver are you using at the moment for the Audigy SE (name and driver version)?
Can the Windows 2000 Professional detects that there's a new hardware installed and ask you to install the drivers?
And what kind of motherboard (with onboard sound?) are you using (brand and model)?
For the time being try the following:
- disable the onboard sound on the motherboard via the bios menu (if you hasn't disabled it yet or if you indeed have an onboard sound);
- try the soundcard in other pci slots the one you are now using;?
- try the Audigy SE in an other computer if it's possible (a friend with a computer can help you out.

Audigy 4 and Windows

Hi,
I got a problem concerning the Audigy 4 on a windows XP Pro SP2 machine. When I have installed the drivers all works fine but when I use an application wich uses EAX oir hardware acceleration it all works. But when I restart my computer all of a sudden my Audio Consol is all beat up. I still can use the Surround Mixer but I can't use eax or anything else anymore.
What is the problem and why do I get this?
The application I meant is World of Warcraft. It uses hardware accelerated sound woth EAX support.
