Audigy 2 ZS: Channels wrong - hardware defe

I have my Audigy 2 ZS connected with my Surround-receiver (5.) via analog (3 cables: 2xchinch on 3,5 mm miniplug). The soundcard transfers four channels to lineout 2 and 3 (correct) but there is a big problem at lineout . The white cinch-end of lineout plays Subwoofer AND Center, while the red end doesnt transfer any channel at all.
I checked multiple cables already and it didnt help. The software should be also setted up correctly (5.).
So, can this be a hardware defect and I cant do anything? Or could a reinstall of the software maybe help?
Thanks already,greets,

has nobody an idea? =(

  • Wrong hardware configuration

    Hi,
when I tried request my licence key I got an e-mail with a demo licence and the following text. I need change my database of DB2/EXS to Microsoft SQL Server. Does anybody know how to correct this?
    Wrong hardware configuration
Your installation 0020268639 was contractually licensed with the following
    hardware configuration:
    NT/INTEL / DB2/EXS ( valid until 31.12.9999 )
The data from your license key request for system B01 does not match
this data. You will therefore only receive a fixed-term license key.
Please check your entries and, if necessary, inform your contract
department at SAP about possible changes to the hardware configuration.
After correcting the hardware configuration, please request a new
    license key for this system.

    Hi Rodolpho,
I think you'll need to put a support request through to SAP and tell them that the contractual information is incorrect. The contractual information is maintained by SAP themselves so there is no way for you to directly edit it. When raising a support request you can choose Administration--Licensing as the component and this will ensure that your query will be sent to the licensing department.
    Kind Regards,
    Owen

  • Sound Blaster Audigy 2NX: Right Channel Goes out Intermitten

In tears trying to figure this on out. <SPAN> My right channel goes out fairly regularly. For example, the sound will work great for a while and sound just awesome.<SPAN> I leave my desk overnight and when I come back, only the left channel produces sound.<SPAN> I?ve double checked all the balances (winamp, Creative, Windows) and they are all balanced.<SPAN> Besides, the right channel will come back on its on from time to time as well.
Before you all assume it'ss the speakers, I?ve tested this with a different pair of speakers and found the same.<SPAN> Also, if the channel is out, I can always get it to come back by switching to the primary laptop driver, playing a song for awhile and then switching back to the NX driver.
I?ve reinstalled the drivers (cleanly), updates the bios, downloaded DirectX and uploaded the firmware and drivers off of the Creative auto-update site. It seems something?s wrong with the drivers, but I can't figure what.
    <SPAN>
Has anyone else seen this problem or have any suggestions.<SPAN> Again, I?ve done a complete uninstall of the SB drivers and reinstall twice now.
I am running a pair of Cambridge Soundworks 2. speakers off of the external SB Audigy 2NX out of a Toshiba Tecra. I have a Pentium M 700 process or and 52 RAM.<SPAN>

  • Receiver Channel wrong after import

    Hi,
i Have imported the configuration scenraio. Everything is looking fine.. but only the receiver channel is empty.. it is showing an empty file receiver adapter...
i cross checked the transport several times..nothing strange in it. Why is it going wrong?
    Thanks

    Hi Mahesh,
As per i know Whenever basis team transports the Channel to another server few parameter will be go as blank and its SAP standard because the Development or Quality and Production systems configuration are different and the Quality system configuration should not go to production that's why few parameters  (Server ,User ID , password and Folder structure) are empty while transport and basis team will configure as a "TBC " or any other temp parameter else they cant activate the Objects.

  • Audigy/MIDI Synth discrepencies with Hardware Accelerat

Hello all, I have a little bit of a problem with my SB Audigy and my Logitech Z-540 speakers. I have a bit of a problem with hardware acceleration it seems. I mainly use this computer for gaming, and I've noticed that I'll hear a sort of popping at times coming from my left speakers while playing. Upon numerous Google searches, I've come to no avail as to what may be the cause of this problem.
However, my speakers are properly set up, my drivers are all up to date as well as the software. I've found two things rectify my issue (but at undesirable consequence):
. I mute the MIDI Synth through volume controls, however this is inconvenient because I play some games that utilize MIDI for music (Blood, Doom, etc.).
    2. I set the hardware acceleration to "Basic", but that in turn disables my EAX and other features.
Would anyone know what might be causing this issue of mine? Any tips, or any help whatsoever would be greatly appreciated; this has been a most vexing issue for me.
    Thanks,
    Veldrin

Its a hardware mixer, wich is using your RAM for storing sounds. You have two synths with hardware support. And on the audigy, there is an additinal software mixer, too. (dont know if the x-fi supports it, too)
In Vista there you have to download a little tool to set the hardware synth as default. search function

  • Audigy SE: Snap, crackle, pop / hardware not fo

You think you have problems... take a look at mine... all CL relavent... I have a problem that Dell says they can't isolate, and sware they will make Creative's problem if our next course of action doesn't resolve the snap, crackles and pops in games (like Flight simulator 9 and 0, and WoW). Yes,?integrated MB?Sigmatel drivers (merge between CL and another company) and PCI SB cards have the same problems... Snap-crackle-pop and the continual "SCHHHHHH..." sounds. My system is a Dell, which of course, gives me a little support, but not much. Please read... With tech support through Dell from India and Canada, my system, w/o CL cards installed creates snap, crackles and popping sounds in any 3D engine game (like FS 9 and 0, and WoW). Dell has no idea how to solve this problem, after installing drivers for DX, doing and IDE config, reinstalling my onboard Sigmatel drivers, changing the hardware acceleration and sample rates, simply unplugging and plugging back in the input jack leading to the speakers, trying a CL's sound card, like the Audigy SE (with its own problems much like what my onboard integrated Sigmatel drivers do)...etc. Now, to all of you experiencing CL's problems, I have already tried updated drivers, moving the card from one PCI slot to another (through all PCI slots), adjusting volume levels, tried playing a DVD (couldn't hear anything well from the DVD beacuse the volume, though maxed out, wasn't loud enough), tried a SB 5. Dell Digital (same problems), and the list goes on. My system:?OS: Windows Media Center 2005Dell E50 3ghz P4 w/ ATI PCI hypermemory 256 video card(2) free PCI slots available after vidoe and TV out cardSigmatel integrated sound (not a 3D sound engine...they admitted that)2.5 gb DDR2 SDRAM, 400mhz?This isn't top of the line, but the next course of action from Dell is to wipe my system clean of WMC 2005 and install Windows XP Pro, at their cost, not mine (thank God for tech support extended warranty). At least then I will have CL driver's. After reading this post, however, and many on this forum, I find that CL's has not addressed the fundamental "problem". So, I wonder, after all is said and done, CL's hasn't really isolated the problem? What gives? It would appear the OS doesn't matter, so maybe the Chipset does? or is it the 3D sound engine? i am not a tech, and Dell tech support can't figure it out, either. So, any suggestions?

... and by the way, the cards won't even install with CL's software from the CD on to the system. The only way to get any of the cards to work, if at all, was to force the driver to work (going in and saying "I want THIS driver installed"). The software on the CD won't run (multiple cards...dell digital, Audigy SE, li've 5., etc) nor will the downloaded drivers EXE file run. When I forced the driver to work I got the "SCHHHH" sound, instead of the advertised "PERFECT UPGRADE FROM THE BASIC MOTHERBOARD AUDIO TO OUTSTANDING MUSIC, MOVIE AND GAME SOUND". In my case, the sound was no-more superior than a fart in space.

  • OVM Guest wrong hardware clock

    Hi,
I'm running an Enterprise Linux 6.3 (PVM) on an OVM host.
The problem is that the date in the EL guest doesn't correspond to the date in the OVM host. The time in /var/log/messages is skewed: it's 6hours too early.
    The hwclock on the host:
    [root@lnx-iaovm01 /]# hwclock
    Fri 17 May 2013 10:53:51 AM CEST -0.737400 seconds
Output of the command on the guest:
    [root@lnx-ianag01 vm]# hwclock --debug
    hwclock from util-linux-ng 2.17.2
hwclock: Open of /dev/rtc failed, errno=2: No such file or directory.
    No usable clock interface found.
Cannot access the Hardware Clock via any known method.
    I tried the following solution: ln -s /dev/rtc0 /dev/rtc
    but I don't have a /dev/rtc0 directory so this isn't very successful
I also tried setting my TZ in my /etc/profile (so the "date" command atleast is correct but since this is just an environment variable so it doesn't really help either).

Isn't it easier to just enable ntp to sync your VM with a clocksource locally in your network or on the internet?

  • Admin Console displays wrong Hardware Scan and Heartbeat DDR times

When we open up our collections to "Show Members" and add the Hardware Scan and Heartbeat DDR display columns, we notice those times do not reflect the actual times of the last Hardware Scan listed in the Resource Explorer or
the Heartbeat Discovery time shown in the properties of the DDR. Is there an evaluation rule that I am forgetting about?

I believe that information is summarized every hour rather than displaying live info.  You may have to close the node or refresh the resource to get it to update after being summarized.
I'm not finding any specific information in the documentation or anywhere in the console that this is controlled.  Maybe someone else has more concrete info.

  • Retail Leopard install says Macbook wrong hardware

Had a disc failure so attempting to resinstall Leopard on a new disc. Unfortunately the office has lost the original installation discs so I'm trying a retail copy of Leopard. After selecting the language I get an error that says (in summary) I'm trying to install on incompatible hardware. How can a Macbook bought AFTER Leopard was release be incompatible?
Any tips or suggestions? I can order a new set from Apple but I need to get this machine built ASAP.

    ypw wrote:
If you're MacBook came loaded from the factory with Leopard, only the installation discs that came with it will install Leopard. A retail version will not work. You'll need to order it from Apple.
If you're MacBook came with Tiger installed, then the retail version should work.
    Just a note - I can't believe I used "you're" instead of "your" twice.

  • Wrong Hardware Display

    Dear Teachies,
We have IBM X 3650 e  series servers running on INTEL dual core 1.86 GHZ. but when installing We have choosed IA 64 installation master others (other installation masters were not running) I am aware IA_64 is itanium based hardware, when we were checking system porperties it shows as  AMD bases system, Please suggest me ASAP.
    REGARDS,

And the installation worked? I wonder how...
you need the correct installation master for your system (which is AMD64 or X86_64 - those are synonyms - don´t let youself confused of AMD means only AMD Opterong platforms).
I suggest you reinstall the system with the correct software.

  • Lspci return wrong hardware information

For some reason, only on ARCH linux does the lspci command return faulty hardware information about my wireless network card (D-Link DWL-G510 revision A). On every other distribution it is correctly returned as:
Ethernet controller: Marvell Technology Group Ltd. Marvell w8300 802.11 adapter.
I have never been able to get this card working with ARCH (using ndiswrapper), but on 3 other distros I've tried it takes me about 2 minutes to get it working. It's getting really frustrating because I prefer ARCHover the others except for this problem.
    Any ideas would be appreciated.

I have reviewed your post and the appropriate people have been notified.

  • Audigy 2 ZS card playing back everything in mono...

..or thats what it seems like at least. If I listen to a song with a part (like a guitar solo) thats supposed to pan between the speakers, nothing changes and it just sounds big, flat, and dull with no instruments in their specific respecti've places in the stereo field. Whenever I do the speaker diagnostics, it says "left channel" in both the left and right speakers. And the same thing happens for the right channel in both speakers. I'm using the Logitech X 530 speakers, but it also did this with my old Creative 5. speakers. Can anyone help me? Im using the latest drivers for the card and it only does this for the front speakers. The rear channels don't cross over like the front speakers do.

  • What exactly is the Digital Out on the Audigy 2

Ok, here's my situation... I bought an Audigy 2 ZS as it was advertized that it came with a digital output, which I knew I'd need in the future. I never really gave it much thought until now (when I need it) and just assumed that it was a digital coaxial output (rca), but this is not the scenario.. It's a... I don't really know what it is. Is it basically a monoral /8 plug that ouputs an unadultered digital signal? Or is it a pre processed digital signal. My main questions are A) Is the signal PRE DAC or some post DAC ADC conversion that's processed only for Multimedia speakers? B) if it is a basic monoral Digital output like most digital coaxial outs, what's the impedance on it's
These are the kind of things that should be discussed in the manual.
This is the application I'm looking for.
I have a Cal audio labs Sigma II Tube based DAC. It's currently hooked up to a dvd player and a dedicated CD player. Both are on a TOSLINK switch based system. They are both in a dorm room right next to my computer. Since the external DAC GREATLY improved the sound quality of the relati'vely low priced CD/DVD players, I assumed that it would in all probability do the same for the Audigy 2 ZS (after all, let's not lie, the DAC's on the audigy 2 zs do have hardware problems converting 44. khz signals to the nati've 48 khz format, which is rather annoying to remedy with software, and even then is not 00% infaliable.
    Bottom Line_______
The Cal audio labs DAC has a 75 ohm digital Coaxial input. Will I be able to hook my audigy 2 zs up to this using a monoral /8 plug - mono RCA adapter? or will I have to find another card?
Thanks for any help you can provide, and I appologize for the curt nature of this message. I was just disapointed today when I was hooking up the DAC and realized that there was no direct route to the Audigy.

    Ornlu,
The /8'' minijack digital output is used for multiple types of digital output (Multichannel DIN and S/PDIF) which requires an interface that can work for both and also fit on the card itself. An /8'' minijack connector provides all of these. The output from this connector is either DIN (the kind of digital connection that many of our speaker systems use for multichannel digital connections) or S/PDIF. For more information on what this connector supports and what to expect read this article:
    http://us.creative.com/support/kb/ar...p?l=2&sid=5764
You will also want to enable S/PDIF Bypass on the Decoder tab of Device Controls. (Start/Programs/Creative/Audigy 2 ZS/Audio HQ/Device Controls)
This should get you set up.

  • 10dB boost for LFE an Audigy Platinum (hard- or software)?

; I read that the Audigy Platinums LFE channel?has 0dB less volume then the rest, and is therefore not working correctly on non creative sound systems.
So how can i give?my LFE signal?a 0dB boost? Any simple hard oder software solutions?

    icke wrote:
The Teufels Bass controller is at 00%.
You're probably one of the many folks who like artificially-boosted bass.
Bass redirection is not the issue, its [sic] turned on..that the LFE signal is to [sic] weak is the problem.
The bass redirection feature extracts the frequencies below the cutoff frequency from the non-sub channels, reduces them -0dB, mixes them together with the LFE signal obtained from DD/DTS sources, and outputs the mixture from the output jacks as the subwoofer output. This causes the extracted bass and any LFE signal to match without driving the line-level output past 0dB, so that the subwoofer output behaves as a LFE-level output rather than a line-level one. Otherwise any LFE signal above -0dB would get clipped at full line-level settings. Note that basically unless you are listening to a DVD, there is no LFE signal involved, but that the extracted bass is still reduced in volume.
Back to a external or software solution please.
If you like cranked bass and treble, use the soundcard's equalizer (or treble/bass controls) to accomplish this. It is best to shape this curve by leaving the "ends" at 0db, reducing the middle frequencies to get what you're after, and just turn up the speaker system to get the loudness you want (settings above 0dB can cause clipping if the soundcard is set up to output line-level).
Can i get Audigy 2 drivers to work with the audigy ?
Probably, but I'm not particularly expert on that, and it has nothing to do with your question.
