Audigy 2 ZS Platinum - Can't get breakout box to w

Hi, I bought an Audigy 2 ZS Platinum from a friend, and he had lost the driver CD. I connected it and used the drivers I got off Creative's website, and the card works perfectly, but I can't get the breakout box to work. I connected it internally to the card, I don't know what else is left to do. Are the drivers the problem, do I need a specific app to make it work, or is it maybe a connection problem?

Hey!?Big Problem... my break-out-box doesn't work any more, too.... but it is powered on!?There is no possibility to use the mute function, IR-control, CMSS-Control or to do anything else with it... simply dead, although it is powered on. LED is green and at the optical out i have a red one shining. I tried cleansweap and reinstall drivers, nothing changed the situation. Cable are correctly connected, i didn't change the last years. I'm also missing the extended connection possibilitys in my "sound and speakers" options... formerly there where a lot more, now there are only?fi've or six controller bars.WHAT HAS HAPPEND? Is it normal that there are three steps with the CMSS options like: CMSS, CMSS2 and STEREO SOUND? I remember that formerly there was also CMSS3... correct? Maybe this is another wrong thing... That's one of the weird things.. it recognizes it maybe 10% of the time. And usually, only after I do the two-button reset. Problem is.. since it won't charge above 2%, anytime I try to do a restore or anything like that using iTunes, my device shuts off and I lose whatever progress I'd made.
So, an update... after reading through a bunch of similar complaints (there are literally 1000's of them so there's NO WAY this isn't somehow ios7 related, thanks a lot APPLE ) I decided to try a restore in recovery mode. After 3 hours and several disconnections... I ended up having to just set it up as a new iPad, as the restore did nothing. Weirdly though... as I was doing the restore in recovery mode.. I noticed I'd gotten up to a 10% charge.. higher than it's been since September, so after setting it up as a new device, I turned it off and plugged it in using the wall charger. 2 hours later and I was up to 38%. Still not great, as my iPad, before ios7 could've fully charged twice in the amount of time it took for me to now get 28% more of a charge. And that's with a fully cleaned out device.. so that really ***** and I'm now more confused than ever.
But I'm gonna leave it overnight charging and see what I come up with tomorrow. Sadly, when I paid $600 for it in February, I never expected to have to play "wait and see" with it...

Audigy 2 ZS Platinum - can't record from front panel "mic-

I'm using an Audigy 2 ZS Platinum. I have an electric guitar plugged into the "mic-in" port on the front panel. I can hear the guitar through my speakers but I can't record from any program. I've tried using "Creative Wave Studio" and XP's "Sound Recorder" but it doesn't record.
I can record by plugging a microphone into the back mic-in port.
This is very frustrating, please help

First is to set the Recording device to MIC2. The front panel device is considered the second microphone. Basically whatever program you use, I would assume it has to recognize this second microphone. Make sure you ahve it selected under the sound mixer (task bar Icon) "Line in 2/Mic 2" underneath "REC" on far right side. Then you can go from there.

I have a Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS Platinum set up. Everything about the card works great - with one exception: the only DVD-Audio disc I can play using the Creative MediaSource DVD-Audio Player is the demo DVD-audio disc that came with the card!
I have tried playing a couple of DVD-Audio discs that I bought, but I can't hear anything.
Is there anything I can do about this?

Adobe Audition, Audigy 2 ZS Platinum, can no longer hear guitar :-\

I've recently reformatted my computer, installed the Audigy 2 software, and installed Adobe Audition. Using Line In 2 on the front of my pc, I was able to plug in a guitar, and hear the guitar via headphones. I can use the remote's record button to instantly start recording, with no problems. I can also play audio using Itunes.
When I opened Audition, I immediately received errors saying that my audio device was not configured or whatever, and that I needed to select an audio device. So I went into the Audition settings, chose Soundblaster Audigy 2 [xxxx], specified Line In 2 for the input, applied and exited. Now I can no longer hear the input from my guitar at all, whether in Audition or not. I'm not sure what setting it might have changed on my pc, but any help would be great.

Set 1st your .REC to AnalogMix(...) and then select this '+' sign --> untag the option like picture shows.

P7N Platinum Can't get FSB speed over 350 mHz

Trying to overclock a bit but when I use BIOS, won't let me change multiplier unless some speedstep is turned off. I cant find where in the BIOS I have an option to turn it off. I am using BIOS ver. 1.3. Also, when I use Dual-corecenter with windows running, I can get FSB up to 350 MHz and all is stable but will not go above 350 MHz...I select 400 in the dropdown and it just resets to 350. So, if anyone can let me know how to turn off the safestep and/or how to increase the multiplier in BIOS 1.3 that would be great. I have heard that I can go to 3.7 GHz with Wolfdale 3.0 GHz E8400 and stock fan & heatsink. I have an Antec air-cooled full case with plenty of airflow. At 3.150 GHz, CPU temperature is only 71F when surfing or playing music and doesn't go above 83F when playing my most intensive games. Answers to these three questions would be greatly appreciated!! The automatic shutdown point of your CPU is somewhere around 90-100°C (Core Temperature). The processor will automatically underclock and undervolt itself if the core (!) temperatures are approaching this point. That is how you know when the processor definately running too hot. 50°C is a very safe but also rather conservative threshold. If your CPU approaches the 60°-70°C area and even exceeds 70°C under full load (core temperatures), that is when you should really start to work on better cooling. However, 60°-65°C is still a rather safe range.

Hello,just bought the Xfi platinum fatalty and although the card works fine, the nternal rack does not do anything. my configuration:OS: win XP 32 bitsMB: P5B Deluxe - Core 2 Duo 6600 - 3 GB RAM?my installation:i plugged the large flat cable into the card and the rack; plugged power into the card.. symptoms:No headset sound?(i did?tick the headsets?box?in the console), the remote does not work;, and there is no light on the rack (should there be a light? since there is one on the card itself maybe tehre is one on the rack as well)?what I have tried so far:remove setpoint SW since i have wireless keyboard and mouse and in this form there was a thread on?external rack and setpoint incompability... did not change anything though (I ahve the internal rack... K8n SLI Platinum can't get OS to boot

System is:-
AMD64 3500+
1gb of Corsair Low latency 2-2-2-5
2 barracuda 300gb hard drives
K8N SLI Platinum mo-bo (now sadly running in single card mode...)
PSU - Hiper HPU-4S525
NX6600GT TD128E (Newer version)
Forceware - Nvidia Version: 84.21.
Problem is - I have two versions of the 6600GT and the older one will work without a problem - either in SLI or in single card mode but the newer one causes the machine to hang at OS boot - I have tried booting with the card in slot two (running in SLI mode) with the card in slot 1 (running in non-sli mode) and with the newer card in slot 1 (running in SLI) but still the same result - Is it the card, my PCU or a mo-bo problem?!?!
Any advice/help Greatly appreciated!

Audigy 2 ZS Notebook--Can't get headset mic to w

I have the headphones on my headset working, but the mic wil lnot recors or function in any way. I have the latest drivers up to the beta drivers (not includingt eh beta).
Any ideas?

I have a new imac with osx 10.6.8 and can't get letter box to open in the mail window with 3 columns. I have downloaded the latest version and it also didn't open in 10.6.7. Any ideas?

Letterbox downloads and installs and is enabled, but does not produce the 3 columns in the mail window. I had the same problem with 10.6.7 and now 10.6.8. The download is the latest version (0.24b9) and the forums indicated that it works with both osx versions. I have tried deleting the letterbox plug-in and then reinstalling, but still no luck with the 3 column mail page. Any ideas would be most welcome. Thanks

i just fixed this on my machine running 10.6.8. the typical workaround is to add appropriate UUIDs, which get updated with each new os build, and break plugins (see here). Follow those instructions, but instead of adding the UUIDs they suggest for 10.6.7, add these (I found them on my machine running 10.6.8, and they work):

for fixing on os x version 10.6.7, this may help (though letterbox 0.24b9 should work already).
i emailed the author (aaron harnly, harnly.net) about this, but haven't heard back (a few days). to be sure, i am quite grateful, as i think we all are, for his excellent plugin, and this workaround is quite simple for dealing with updates.

Audigy 2 ZS Platinum using Sennheiser HD580?

I am thinking about buying a pair of Sennheiser HD580 headphones. I am unsure about whether my Audigy 2 ZS Platinum can push/handle the 300 ohm impedance of the HD580's. Has anyone had any success with this setup? Or, does anyone have any knowledge about whether this sound card is generally able to handle such impedance level without sacraficing anything?

1st, take the Audigy User's Guide and check that your conections are OK (if you don't have the Guide then just download it through Creative Web services -> Support/Product Documentation
2nd, set the playback/recording source options properly (on CT surround mixer or CT Media Source if you mean this software when talking 'bout media player (or on system play/record controls ... maybe Line In 2 or Aux 2 is the right option)

This is a great forum; the posts on here have helped me out so many times with my Platinum Pro card. Unfortunately, I have lost my power converter cable, and obviously without it I am serious up the old creek if you know what I mean. My plans for world domination of the music industry have stalled!

I built a new PC for use as a DAW, everything works great, it's fast and silent. Everything but the sound card, an Audigy 2 Zs Platinum. My problems is with the "Platinum" daughter card, actually a breakout box. I have somehow lost the power adapter, a four pin, Red, Black, Black, Yellow connector. It probably left with an old power supply, it's been stored for a while.
I have another four pin connector that fits, but it is not keyed for my card. I can shave the keys off, and it will fit but I don't know which pin is the red, and which is yellow. If anyone has one of these, I would appreciate hearing the pin order. Is red inboard or outboard? This is how mine looks:
