The drivers and the apps come on the same CD. Demos and other (unnecessary) things might be on a separate CD.
I would also recommend a visit to Driverheaven's forum. Loads of goodies there.

• SB Audigy ZS series mass pull out

Whats the deal Creative?! I recently was going to replace a defecti've Audigy ZS Notebook card from my local retais store but I noticed that none of them no longer carry the Audigy Zs series cards! I checked at 4 major electronic supply stores that have always carried this card. I spoke with store clerks about their inventory and they all said that the store no longer stock it. What gives?! Has the card been dicontinued?

• Sound blaster audigy ls series MIC NOT WORKING

i have a soundblaster Audigy LS series. with an asus m2n sli delux motherboard. i also have a 9800gtx+ graphics card with 2gbs of ram. oh and i have a 3.0 dual core 64 athelon x2 processor. recently my microphone jack has stopped working, and i've changed the mic several times and the mic jack still does not work. i am honestly stumped and confused because i play alot of online games and talking is vital when your trying to communicate with teammates.
i would appreciate any help.
thanks.

Dominic,
Sorry to ask the obvious, but have you checked that you have microphone unmuted in the Creative mixer, the volume is set high, and that the REC source is either WhatUHear or Microphone? You didn't mention your operating system, but assuming XP, in Control Panel, Sound and Audio Devices, Audio tab, is your Audigy the default recording device? And while you're there, see if the box next to "Use Only Default Devices" is selected. If not, you might want to consider putting a check mark in it.

• BO Edge Series Installation on Laptop?

Hi,
I have installed BO Edge Series, CR2008, Xcelsius Enterprise 2008, Live Office 2008 etc., with reference to "BO and SAP - Installation and Configuration Part 1, 2, 3 and 4" Blogs by Ingo Hilgefort. I have downloaded the software required for installation and followed the steps to install all of the software.
My system config: Laptop with Windows Vista Enterprise, service pack 1; 32bit OS.
However, I had some issues after the installation.
1. I am installing the Edge series on Windows Vista Enterprise, service pack 1; 32bit OS. While reading the minimum requirements I had assumed that we can install the Edge series on the Vista laptop.
I have not installed any database server before Edge series installation - So, do I need to install any Database like MS SQL server/ database before the edge series installation?
2. I have no problem in following the steps in the blog series by Ingo Hilgefort until part 4: SAP Java Connector:
Per Ingo Hilgefort blog - The SAP Java Connector is being leveraged from BusinessObjects Edge and the SAP Integration Kit as part of the SAP Authentication plug-in in the Central Management Console. You can download the SAP Java Connector from the service marketplace (http://service.sap.com/connectors). I am downloading the version 2.1.8 After unzipping the Java Connector download, I copy the file sapjco.jar to the shared library folder of the application server (in my example : \Program Files\Business Objects\Tomcat55\shared\lib) and the file sapjcorfc.dll to %windir%\system32.
Here I could not find the path "\Program Files\Business Objects\Tomcat55\shared\lib" and "%windir%\system32" to add the files specified above.
Do I need to install the Tomcat first before the Edge series installation or it comes with the installation of the Edge series?
Please note that after completing all the installation except the above Java files - I could see below in the CMC:
- BW Publisher Service 12 (Manages a pool of Crystal Report publishers) - I have trouble starting this server
- Server Intelligence Agent (Manages BO Enterprise Servers) - No problem starting this server
- Web Proxy Auto-Discovery Service(WinHTTP) - I could start the server but stops automatically
Appreciate any suggestions on this.
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Sudha

Hi,
Does the BO Edge Server installation will automatically install MYSQL, Java App Server and Tomcat or do I need to download them separately and install before starting BO Edge Server installation?
>>> Yes the BusinessObjects installation will install the MySQL and TOMACT automatically. These are choices during the installation routine.

• Audigy 2 series - Memory issues

Audigy 2 series - Memory issues? Hello,
after mailing the support my problem and asking for a driver update I just got this semi-automated "we dont care"-notice, saying my audigy 2 (zs) was older than 3 years and not supported anymore and therefor would not receive driver updates. Thing that keeps me wondering is that the last driver version got released july 2009, which is also WAY past the "3 years"-mark, so is there still hope to complain again about this very issue or has Creative really abandoned this great card?
The issue im experiencing is whats also described in this unofficial FAQ I found within these forums saying the drivers don't support more than 4 GB of RAM (Windows XP 64), which I just figured out myself the hard way as well. Lowering the memory amount to 4GB is DEFINITELY NOT an option!
Are there possibly any unofficial drivers tackling this issue or is this now Creative's way to force me to buy a newer sound card and hope the driver developers didn't fail as hard with them drivers as they did with the audigy drivers? (I mean really? Not capable of "real" 64bit support? in 2009? Hello?)
Any feedback is greatly appreciated

#Re: Audigy 2 series - Memory issuest Truely sad is the drivers I got from Creative did not work for me.
I had first search, find, and use Danel's drivers.
As for being old, my old Audigy 2 ZS Plat. card died last month. Knowing how much I love that sound card, my girlfriend bought me a new one from an online store and gave it to me for Christmas along with Windows 7 64-bit and more memory.
She is a computer nerd like me.
Anyway, the fact is they are still being sold new today.
No support for a newly purchased producted?
Now I hear these problems have existed since Vista.
What gives?
By the way Audigy 2 ZS Plat was (still is if creative fixes the drivers) the best sound card on the market. For $70 you can get virtually the same hardware. As far as I can tell X-Fi hardware is the same as the Audigy 2, only rebadged. Most the features you do not get are dependent on the sofware, features are turned on or off depending on the card's hardware ID, not that the card can not support the features. The extra $25+ is not worth it in my mind.

• SB audigy zs missing installation support f

hello:Im super frustrated with my sound and video problem with this sb audigy zs card. I uninstalled any and all audio programs and drivers under add remove programs and under device manager (sound, video and game controllers). and disabled my onboard audio card. Im running xp home. when I finally was ready to install the audigy again it stopped in the middle and said the following:Installation support file could not be found so access is denied.File name was:C:\DOCUME~\Carol\LOCALS~\Temp\{47B8A42E-6874-48-AC2A-687DB3EA2965\_IsUser.dll?Wow what a file to write let alone find. This whole thing started because im trying to learn video editing and I was having a heck of atime capturing anything via usb and DV to fire wire.Any help is greatly appreciated. The Nurse : )?

I think somewhere on the board is a link to D/L the ISO for the ZS cd.
If you cant find it I can rip you a copy of my CD. Email me.
PS: I li've in Brisbane Australia, where are you at as I cant send it over seas.

I looked on my card (Audigy 2 ZS Platinum) and nothing indicated which of the two links I should follow.
Alternati'vely you could interprit it as DL both "to the same folder" but then I have two ISO's, not one. Both appear to have similar directory structure, however they are not the same size.
I'm confused. When running one or the other the install seems to hang at 4%.
Please explain, thanks!
OK so now I think they'ret he same... both parts. While the archi've files are diff sizes, the ISOs and folders they contain are the same size. Maybe its just hangin on install for another reason.
Those 2 files are the splitted (ISO) image file.
You have to use WinRar to extract the ISO file from those 2 parts --> you get one ISO file.
Depending the installation you're going to do you
- extract the ISO file using winrar (you can install your drivers/software from your HD)
or
- burn it to CD using nero or something and install from CD

• Audigy 2 OEM installation probl

Hi all,
Basically im here to moan and complain :P
Bought audigy 2 card from overlcockers.co.uk
installed into machine, machine recognised new audio control card, cant wait i think to myself whilst i enjoy 24 bit sound rather than crappy realtek 97 on board audio i using.
Now to get drivers, go to soundblaster.com click on auto update web finds i have the audigy 2 card installed and recomends the right set of drivers.
go to install them and get error message saying "Setup can not find the required set of components, etc etc", hmmmm i thought to myself.
Basically i've spent 2 days and roughly 0 hours trying to install drivers all to no succes for this card. Before any of you say try this try that, i have tried EVERYTHING.
Changed PCI slots, tried different drivers, reformated PC, etc etc. Everything some one has mentioned on a forum i have tried.
So i emailed creative, "Sorry sir, but you can not get this working without the original installtion CD, we have no working drivers for this card on the website, only updates"
Great, whats the friggin point of selling an OEM with no CD when you need the CD to get it working?
Im friggin pissed, if anyone can send me an iso of the cd (which i have found on the net but it downloads at 0k a second and its 566 meg big) can you email me at [email protected]][email protected]
All the forums i've read about this loads of people have had the same problem, its something to do with OEM hardware not having a hardware identifier on it and therefore the web drivers wont recognise the card is installed.
This thread may get deleted im sure by someone at creative for me swearing in it, but seriously im so unhappy with creative and the audigy 2 oem card i have that i've just got to the point where i dont care,
VERY UNHAPPY CUSTOMER, i will be really happy if some one at creative does something for me so i can get the soundcard working.

Thanks guys for responding to my post,
Ive tried everything that you have mentioned and still have no success, the kx drivers dont seem to have the audigy 2 oem driver (which is the sb0400) and when i try to install the generic driver my machine crashed and reboots with a "windows has recovered from a serious error" message.
The guide of how to properly install the soundblaster drivers i've already tried to no avail just to find the same "Setup did not find the required set of hardware on your machine" error message.
Im now sitting in my mates bedroom with my PC set up (having a LAN :P), and tried his audigy oem installation CD and still i get the same error message (just to remind you i have the audigy 2 OEM card, hey it was worth a try)
Im now at the point where i cant get my hands on an audigy 2 OEM CD as the helpdesk from soundblaster has refered me to my "vendor" and its now the weekened and they arent open till monday.
To say im furious is a bit of an understatement as i now have to use my realtek 97 onboard sound and has ruined my LAN party.
Im now contemplating purchasing a retail card from PC World and putting the OEM card back in the box and taking it back to PCWorld for a refund LOL.
My advice, dont purchase an OEM card PERIOD.

I successfully loaded 3.20.72 overtop of MediaSource 2, then loaded 3.20.78. I noticed that they have 3.30.04 listed, but when I loaded it my system didn't appear to update.
I remember their sound card mediasource will only install if you have a creative sound card in your computer. I don't think it will install for people who don't have their sound card.

BO Edge is officially supported only on Windows Server 2003 and 2008. I assume you have tried to install on another version of Windows. I would recommend to try it on a windows Server installation.

Same on mine as well and everything here works ok.
What do you expect it to say?
If it's installed correctly, device manager should ID the card as Creative SB Audigy 2 ZS (WDM). If you have other listing like SB Audig Audio then it's most probably using Windows nati've driver and not Creative driver. I bet your other Creative application cannot be launch and would tell you that cannot detect the correct hardware and similar stuff.

Please help!!!!!

Boot to safe mode, then uninstall all Audigy software and uninstall the Audigy Drivers in Device manager. Shut down the computer, remove the Audigy and reboot to clear all drivers. Shut down again and install the Audigy and boot, when the "found new hardware" message comes up, cancel it and don't allow automaticv installation. Insert your Audigy CD, find the "Drivers" folder, open it and find the "CTZAPXX.exe" or "SETUP.exe" file that has the red triangle with a blue base. Click in it, choose driver installation and click the box beside "Overwrite existing shared Creative audio driver files", then click "OK". It will probably ask you if you really want to overwrite the shared files, click Yes or Ok, and wait for the drivers to load, it will probably take several minutes. Reboot when prompted and you should be good to go. You can then install whatever programs you want from the disk, then go to the website and update. That should do it.
