Audigy 2 ZS Vista SP 2 Please HELP!!!!

It all started with me wanting to update to vista sp 2 32 bit. I formatted and installed sp and than installed sp 2. Than I procceded to install all drivers. that is when everything went bad. I download both 2.8 and 2.2 drivers. I installed the 2.8 or the latest official drivers for ZS 2. when I started intalling the drivers, i got BSOD. I coudln't figure out what it was at first. I restarted the system and than I heard this loud and hissing noise. When I got to desktop I tried installing them again except this time it said they were already installed and had to be uninstalled etc. I followed with the process but now every time I tried to install them, I would get BSOD. I tried safe mode but it didn't help. Between multipe boots, the installer would someimtes not even recognize if the card was installed. I have been trying to work on this problem for the past two days. than I thought it was sp 2 and reaintalled the system and just installed sp with 2.8 drivers but they kept crashing as well. than I just tried vanilla vista but that didn't work either. I have no idea what i could do next. Multiple installtions and re-installations to a point right now where the sound card is not even recognized at ll. Nothing but frustration for the past two days. Can anyone please help me. also, if this helps anything. I somehow maganed to install the drivers without getting BSOD but no sound would come out. device manager detected the card and it looked like it was working properly but no sound would come out. winamp would not play or any other sounds. when i pressed play on winamp, the song would just sit there until a like a minute later it would say could not create a buffer or something . it is a differnt messeage than the messages I usualy get if the sound card was intalled incorrclty. At this point I have no idea what else to do.. Please help!

I also have the same problem, sound stop working after getting SP2, I updated vista to SP2 because I want to update to windows 7, with win 7 I have try all the drivers without success I still have no sound and with some drivers I get a blue screen. After 2 restarts windows 7 ask me to fix the problem with restore and vola everything works ok but no sound.

Windows vista Error response-PLEASE HELP

I have Vista Ultimate (came with new computer), with the UAC turned off (it was interfering with Microsoft Money). I get the same popup error as noted before, and I've done the regsvr32 on vbscript.dll multiple times. I'm on an admin account, I've used an admin command window, and I've even tried running the iTunes setup as admin, as well as in compatibility mode as XP SP2.
I thought maybe my existing iTunes 7.0 install was interfering, so I tried to remove it via Control Panel, and I got the exact same error. So I can't remove what I have and I can't install the upgrade.
The only good news is that my iPod Photo finally started synching with the computer, if only in manual mode. I can't burn CDs however.

When you go to the iTunes download page:

And click on download, you should be offered the choice of running the installer or saving it. You need to click on save and then choose a folder on you PC where you want it saved. But I think you already did that.
After the installer file - iTunessetup.exe - is save on your computer, you double click on it to run it.
It's very odd that the installer fails at different stages. usually when the installation fails, it is at a specific stage and usually generates an error message.
I am afraid I am mystified. Have you had any other problems with your PC which might suggest a general problem not specific to iTunes?

Trouble installing iTunes to Windows Vista (32 bit) Please help!

My computer recently had some problems a few months back and I had to delete some things and get rid of programs, iTunes being one of them.
I have tried to get it back, and it won't let me. It doesn't even begin installing. It tries to go to the installing screen, but the installer completed sign comes up and says "The installer encountered errors before iTunes could be configured. Your system has not been modified. To retry these operations at a later time, please run the installer again."
I have tried everything in the Apple support area and did all of the troubleshooting problems. I don't know what to do now.

Hmmmm. Unfortunately, most of the helpful documentation and discussion i've seen about the RAID issues has related to the Intel Matrix Storage Manager drivers, and most of the SATA documentation and discussions relates to PCs with nVidia video cards (and/or other nVidia componentry).
I had a quick check at ASUS, and it looks like it might be worth doublechecking to see if your BIOS is up to date. (Some of the BIOS updates they are listing there mention improved SATA compatibility and performance.) But I'm a bit uncomfortable about that advice, since there's a P5SD2-X and a P5SD2-X SE motherborad being listed there.

Audigy 4 Pro + Windows 7 Please Help

First let me ensure you that i tried everything else before annoying you guys with my problem. an estimated 0 times of trying to get audigy 4 pro to work on win 7 with the original drivers and now i tried Daniel K.s Drivers. I appreciate what he has done to help so many with theyr driver issues, but sadly the driver isnt getting me far. first the informations about my system.

Just realized an interesting fact. when my speakers are the standard device for Playing? sounds and not the SPDIF-OUT from creative wmp and vlc work with 7/7 speakers playing sound while the bsplayer only plays 2/7, but when the SPDIF is the standard and the speakers are the communication device(seems wierd) the bsplayer works(7/7) but the wmp and vlc only play sound from 2/7 . AND whats really hard for me, All games are only playing from 2/7? :mansad: its not fun to play Bad company 2 with sound only coming from 2 of 7 speakers (settings are all in order to support 3d sound so its not the game, checked that with several FAQs etc.)
I would greatly appreciate any help to this problem, i wouldnt like to plug everything out and deinstall the drivers and loose my nice remote control and external receiver box since i just installed everything.

PS: In the windows sound setting test all speakers work perfectly, even with the normal drivers that mess everything else up for me.

Installing itunes 8.1 on vista home premium - please help!

This is my first ever post in a forum because i can usually work it out from other peoples questions... but i'm at the end of my tether with this:
I've just bought a new Dell inspiron 1545, o.s windows vista home premium.
I'm trying to install itunes 8.1 but am getting the following problem...
I can get to the part where it starts installing, and then it gets to a certain point and just... stops.
It's not freezing or even giving me an error message, it just stops!
So i leave it to see if it will start again, and it eventually times out!
You can understand how frustrating this is because there is no rhyme or reason to WHEN it stops (sometimes 20% complete, sometimes 96% completes - and sometimes it never even starts).
I've read up on many different forums (i spent 5 hours last night on this) and it seems lots of people are having problem with itunes and vista, but none of the threads contain this actual problem.
i've tried a few suggestions: delete all history and cookies e.t.c / try opening a different browser before going to the apple site / click 'save' instead of 'run' and alter the name its saved under, but none of the above has worked.
So basically, if anyone can help, I would dearly appreciate it... it's quite possibly driving me insane.

Macbook wireless network question with vista and xp PLEASE HELP

Ok I just bought a macbook computer and introduced it to a windows family using vista and xp computers. I was able to set up wireless networking and surf the internet with all computers. However I cannot see the windows computers from the mac but can see the mac on the windows computers. I have a linksys wrt54g router. I tried everything and Im unable to see other computers or the printer thats attached to the desktop pc using vista. I went ahead and purchased the extreme airport router and after being on the phone with apple care for 3 hours and reformatting the operating system on the mac I was finally able to see the other pc's and installed bonjour for windows on all windows based pc's and was able to print from the mac without a glitch but the windows based pc's were horribly very very slow printing using bonjour. Needless to say I didnt want to spend all the extra money on a apple router for all this to work and after doing so the printing from windows machines just plain *****. So I returned the airport extreme and Im back to the linksys. When the linksys wrt54g is hooked up I cannot see the printer or other windows machines. Any ideas please to keep my current setup so I dont have to go out and by more apple products for everything to play nice. Thanks

My brand new iPod Touch 4th generation will not sync with iTunes on my Windows Vista computer! Please help!

I have tried every trick in the book and read every thread on why my version of Windows Vista will not allow me to get at the iTunes Store. I cannot even get this new iPod Touch to sync with iTunes.
I've rebooted, soft restart, hard restart, removed iTunes and re-installed iTunes. Nada...nothing!
Does anyone else have the same issue and can they offer me a solution?

It's not clear initially which is the fundamental error here. But based on the fact that the 8007371b can be fixed by the System Update Readiness Tool, we might try a manual install of that first. There's information on how to do that in the *Information for Advanced Users* section of the following document.

Installing the tool will run the tool.
After the installation of the tool, restart the PC. Then go back to Windows Update, and attempt to stock up again on Windows Updates. Do they download and install correctly? If so, because you might be a reasonable way behind on updates, keep going back to Windows update until it stops offering you new updates.
Once you're stocked up again, restart the PC again, and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?

Right. I got myself an iPod Shuffle v3 a few weeks ago, and the first time I used it, iTunes worked fine, it synced my music and everything.
But now it decides to go all stupid on me.
I can't add new music to my ipod. I can go on add file or folder, and it doesn't matter which one I try and add, it doesn't work. You know when it's syncing your songs, and the panel at the top goes into that bar thing and shows you how much it's synced, well, it does that, but doesn't finish syncing it, it'll suddenly stop when it's nearly done.
I just managed to add about 2 songs to my iTunes, but I can't really work out how I did it.
Everything I try doesn't work, so I really need some help because it's proper stressing me out .

Do you have your shuffle set to "manually" add music or "automatically" sync? If you want to just add songs here and there, then you have to set your iPod for manual updates. When the device is connected to your computer, you can change the sync method.

Firefox 3.6 wont let me sign in to my Google acc any more, so I cant use Bookmarks etc now, on XP pro or Vista home(we have 2laptops) I am also getting the msg URL not valid/cant connect, even thought I try to load from my 2nd Tab with the 9 pages on it. I do realise that the 3.6 is getting old and will have to be replaced, but which version to choose as there are so many??? Google changed the logon URL for various services and the Google Toolbar is trying to logon to the wrong domain. Google isn't going to be fixing the Google Toolbar add-on for Firefox, they announced back in July that they were discontinuing it for Firefox 5.0 and later versions.

I had itune 10.1 working just normal, and suddenly it wont open.
even before that, 1st problem i had was with Quick time, i couldnt uninstall it, kept saying newer version of Quick time installed..or something like that. and i figured out to install itunes without unstalling quick time. (thanks to Google) and was working fine for a month, and suddenly, now iTune wont open. I tried unstalling it, and reinstalled... that's pretty much i can do now!! still no hope!! Hi there! Well I have been trying to use the Sound Blaster Audigy 2 zs video editor to transfer Hi8 tapes from my camcorder (Samsung SLC860) to my laptop (Compaq presario, AMD Athlon 64 3200+, .25 GB RAM, xp). I have successfully done this before *sort of*. Before i was able to capture video from my camcorder without the sound. But now I cant even capture video! I get an error when using Ulead VideoStudio 8 SE reading: 5065:29:0. Please help, anything would be great! Thank you! Oh, i've tried reinstalling the drivers already, didnt work. P.S. I connect the camcorder to the Creative Audigy using S-Video. I have also tried A/V out from the camcorder to video-in on the Audigy. I have also downloaded VidCap and other driver updates from Creative but those didn't work either. I've tried VidCap other capture programs, none worked. Any help would be great. Thank you!

Hi there! Thanks for the reply, unfortunately, I've tried VidCap and it wont let me capture either. The Start button on Step 3 isn't acti've. Its not bold, and when i click on it nothing happens. But under device manager and Sound, Video and game controllers, there are alot of things. They are as followed: Audio Codecs, Legacy Audio Drivers, Legacy Video Capture Drivers, Media Control Devices, Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS Video Editor Audio Device, Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS Video Editor Video Device, SoundMAX Intergrated Digital Audio, Video Codecs. Do you think any of these could be interfering with one another? If so, which ones can be safely disabled? I've also tried downloading all the necessary updates for VidCap and I've even tried reinstalling the Audigy card many times. I am able to see the preview of the video on both programs VidCap and VideoStudio but I just can't capture. Once again, the error message on VideoStudio is: 5065:29:0. Thank you so much, hopefully I hear from ya soon and this can be fixed.

Okay. Literally, it's saying that one of the dlls associated with Cryptographic Services on the PC is damaged. That can cause an iTunes launch failure.
... However, most of our experience here at Discussions is with troubleshooting these sorts of messages on Windows XP systems, rather than Vista and I don't have a Vista box handy for reference.
So, if you don't receive any further replies here, it might be best to try posting instead at the Windows Vista Community Discussions Groups. Fingers crossed someone there might be better placed to help you troubleshoot this:
