Audigy 4 and Audigy 2 ZS? Differen

What exactly is the difference between the Audigy 2ZS regular and the Audigy 4 regular?
I have been looking at both cards but I can't figure out which one is better.... The only difference I see is that the Audigy 4 says that it has hardware acceleration so your cpu isn't used as much meaning better fps in games...... Is the Audigy 4 better? Confused about the difference!

There is no real difference to speak of. The Audigy 4 is just a slightly tweaked version of the Audigy 2 ZS. It has a higher signal-to-noise rating (4dB compared to the A2 ZS's 08dB). I have the Audigy 2 ZS Platinum and I am very pleased with it. I didn't even blink when the Audigy 4 was released.
As to gaming either card will serve you well. If, however, you want to record and edit music then the Audigy 4 is better suited.

I'm confused by your question:
Are you trying to transfer data from an Exe to TestStand and vice versa?
Or are you changing existing, working VIs into EXEs and then wondering why they won't behave the same?
Can you clarify some what your goal is?
There may be a better way to do what you want.

Total Stock vs Plant Stock

I have the following problem with the stock:
The total stock (MBEW-LBKUM) shown in the material master data (Accounting 1 tab) is not equal to the Plant Stock (MARD-LABST) shown in the Plant Stock tab (there is only unrestricted stock).
In my opinion they should be the same because:
- The valuation area is a plant (transaction OX14)
- I´m not using valuation categories (which determines the valuation type). Thus in table MBEW the field valuation type is blank, the same as the valuation category.
Any ideas on why the stock is different?

Actualy i was also facing the same problem in my previous project.Also I have gone thru some of the threads in SDN few ppl were facing the same problem
just check the entries in Table
MARD and MBEW for the material for which u are getting the difference.
what must have in the begining that ur GR must have been done with the non valuated stock
Check in the table MARDH and MBEWH to find the period where it started to become different.
MARDH has all stock, MBEWH has only valuated stock.
It all happened in the begining when the stk is uploaded with zero price and when the first GRN happens then the price of that material gets updated in the material master,
the stk must have been uploaded twice due to that reason some stk are valuated and some stk are non valuated ,that u can see in MB5B T-code ,for valuated stk the table is MMBE and the valuated + Non valuated stk gets updated in MARD so by the difference of stk in MARD and MBEW u will get the Non valuated stk.
How ever in MM03 -> Accounting View -> Total Stock is the Total Valuated Stock.
In MMBE, Total Stock comprises of Valuated and Non Valuated Stock.
Also, if there are Sales Order Stock with Individual Valuation, these Stocks will not be shown in Accounting View -> Total Valuated Stock, however this will be in MMBE.

where as to solve your problem is to only make a program in which it will update the MARDH stock and MBEWH stock so that in future the problem does not arise.
Coz our sales person was finding the stock in MMBE but he was not able to do the delivery.
Coz there were no valuated stock.
To solve this I have made a program in which both the stocks will remain the same.I didnt got any solution thats the reason we have to take thsi step

Error in Assets creation in AS01

HI Expert,
I'm facing error while trying to create Assets account under AS01 - strange part is i have created building account in same heading but while trying for mahinery and furniture getting 2 differene errors
1)Number range 1 is not in the number allocation range? where as ihave already created 01 number range in FBN1
2)while trying to created the machinery a problem of screen layout for asset master data in this tab error is appering when i tried to give the option like madary optional and suprressed in screen layout for asset master getting error as maintenance level not assinged and here i'm not able to make any changes in those field and now all fields are coming as a mandtory- fields like business area ect

1) I have created the number range for the same, because of that only i was able to created assets under that column for building but when trying to create for Furniture and Fixture i'm getting error as Number range 1 is not in the number allocation range?
Please note: i have created the number range already but then also getting the error.
2) for the 2nd question but not able to make any changes in field status group for the asset machinery its giving error as maintenance level not assinged and while doing same all the option became as a mandatory where as i'm not able make them as optional again?

Hello Everybody,
i have installed two instances of oracle database, oracle 9i and oracle 10g in differenent harddisk partitions, then installed the Developer 10g 9.0.4, thereafter i created the one database for each oracle installation 9i and 10g,
Now the Development tools i.e. forms, reports etc are able to connect with Oracle 9i instance but not with 10g even after modifiying the tnsnames.ora file or creating a listner in oracle 9i net manager but mentioning the oracle 10g oralce_home.
Can anyone Please tell me how I can connect the development tools with oracle 10g!
(If you wondering why installed the two different versions of oracle, then Please just ignore it)

Thanks for suggestion, Yes I have made all the tnsnames.ora files identical, but when ever I try to connect with Oracle 10g database It gives me error "ORA-12500: TNS:listner failed to start a dedicated server process" that is when I use the database service name.
Without service name it gives me error "ORA_12560: TNS:protocol adapter error"
I created the listner through Net Manager available with Oracle Developer10g 9.0.4 but it always modifies or create it in Oracle9i directory but even modifying it with 10g listners settings it still throughs the same exception.
I am using window server 2003.

Trying to add an ApEx to network with no joy

I've been trying to connect an Airport Express to my existing Airport network (so I can listen to music downstairs) but when I try to locate it in Airport Admin Utility, it doesn't show up (if it helps, my other 3 show up with the Rendezvous icon next to them).
I try rescan in AAU and that doesn't make the 4th elusive ApEx show up, and if I want to add it, it asks me for its IP address - which I don't have as it won't show up in any of the Airport Utility programs!
Does anyone know how to add an existing ApEx to an Airport network, and what IS the differene between Relay and Remote? As I could swear the description given by the Airport Setup and Admin Utilities pretty much calls them the same thing (ie they both share a connection from the main base station)
oh and BTW, I've tried hard-resetting this thing about 4 times, so that doesn't work either!

Try this:
Do a hard reset of the AirPort Express (AX).
Temporarily connect to the AX via Ethernet.
If you only need to stream music, follow the directions in KB 302153, AirPort Express: How to join an existing wireless network in client mode.

Production Order Variance Split based on Cost Component Split

Hi All,
We want the material/labor/overhead variances on the production Order to go to different value fields in the P&L.
We will be issuing Actual Material/Overheads to the Production order and there will variances for both Material and Overheads due to differene in Standard and Actual Qty issued.
But Standard SAP Variance Split Functionality will club the Material/Labor/Overhead Variances as Input Qty Variances so we cannot split it into different lines in the P&L.
Any ideas on how this can be done.

Create as many assignment lines in PA Trf Str as your Cost Comp Structure...
Assign the relevant GL/Cost ele in the SOURCE and choose the radio button "Costs/Revenues", instead of "Variances"
You can then assign each assignment to a separate Val Field in COPA

Powerbook Titanium won't connect to internet via Airport Extreme.

Hi everyone, I just boght an used Airport Extreme (White UFO version) and getting it to work with my MBP took about 5min and then it worked like a charm but my wifes Powerbook titanium is another thing...
It will connect to the router but I can not connect to the internet, the same with my "Scrap/sparepart" Powerbook titanium... it connects to the router but it stops there. My wifes PB has an original first gen. Airport card and my spare PB uses an Sonnet extreme PCI card.
I have tried it with WEP, WAP and without security no differens what so ever.
Im starting to lose my mind here running out of ideas...
And my wife is getting more and more crumpy since she cant check mail or surf on her computer.

It sounds like the problem with the PowerBooks is that both have the incorrect DNS settings for your ISP.
On the MacBook Pro go to System Preferences > Network, and then, note the DNS Server IP address(es) value(s). Then go to each of the PowerBooks and do the same. They should be the same. If not, change the DNS IP addresses to match those on the MacBook Pro.

Keeping Service Object Method Running

Does anyone have any suggestions how I can handle the followingsituation:

I'd suggest starting up the service independent of the clients by using
escript. The start task would be put into the INIT method of the
service object. You can put the escript commands in a batch job started
by a job scheduler. You can also shut down the service in the same
manner.

While I think I understand your thought process that led you to your design you have made an erroneous assumption when it comes to interfaces that has put you off the rails.
Casting to an interface does not magically mean that you can deserialize an object created with a non-existant class.
Which is what you are doing.
Let us say you have two classes...
public class ServisArayuzuServerImplementation implements ServisArayuzuand
public class ServisArayuzuClientImplementation implements ServisArayuzuThe problem is that when the server object is serialized in it's header it says it is a ServisArayuzuServerImplementation. Thus this class MUST exist on the client side if it is to be deserialized. And this MUST happen before any casting etc.
There are two possible solutions for the problem.
1) Use the same class on both sides.
2) Don't use ObjectInput and ObjectOutput streams but serialize the data yourself using DataInput and DataOutput streams. Then you can construct and deconstruct the objects as you need too. And they could be differen types if you wanted. This solution though is more complex so you'll have to decide for yourself.

Using security w/o doing authentication

NT realm solution. Also our WL clients are both NT and Solaris and each uses a
differen login solution. Also I do not want to deal w/ the complexity of setting
up complicated realms.
Ideally I want our client code (Running on both NT & Solaris) to do something
like the following:

with i1 selsection it does not show anytax line item when the doument posts.
with u1 selection it's positng to the appropraite account assigned on the mw1, mw2. right now the u1 tax is goin gto the sales tax account .
it does not allow me to assign on ftxp.
and what is the differene between u1 and i1

Audigy 2 ZS Remote control (RM-1500) and DVD-player. (Need he

I've got Audigy 2 ZS platinum with remote RM-500, but software included in package allows to play only DVD-audio. Creative recomend to install InterVideo DVD 5 to play video DVD with Creative Audio-DVD program.
I've got InterVideo DVD 6 Platinum, but it doesn't controlled by RM-500 (there is no problems with my logitech Cordless keyboard with media buttons). As I found out there is differens in buttons menu: Creative use Enter for play, Spase bar for Pause, ect., but standart windows programs use Ctr+P and Ctr+Shift+P.
Does Creative have patch that solve this problem. To have remote that cann't contol DVD player (exept Audio DVD) is useless stuff.

Have you added the DVD player software to the external applications listing under the remote control tab in MediaSource settings. The controls on the remote are mapped to the keys as defined by Microsoft. If the program is compliant to this then it should work.

Creative Audigy 2 NX OLD and undercapable drivers are way below industry standa

Hello All,
I have tried not to push this, for the past year, but I have really reached the end of my patience. The driver support for the Audigy 2 NX (USB-External) sound card is nearly 'non-exsistant'and it is have a major adverse effect on my gaming.
It has been more than a year since Creative has taken the time to provide the many owners of the Audigy 2 NX -USB sound card with a driver that is anywhere near the capabilities of the sound chip in our device. We do NOT have support for Open AL, we do not have 'REAL' support for EAX 3 or 4 (I mean a driver that REALLY works on most; Lucasarts, EA, and Valve games), and NO HD 'Dependable' support in games or DVD play back.
This is a crime, seeing as this card costs JUST as MUCH as the Audigy 2 ZX (that I also own, and bought FIRST for my HP zd8230us... and used until HP Tech support told me to NOT use the PCMCIA card) and yet has Half the features and lass than /4 the driver support... for the same money!! That is right, I said 'Crime', because I have been buying and using ONLY Creative cards for the past years and have never EVER seen Creative turn their backs on a product the way they have done with the Audigy 2 NX.
Let me be 'Brutally Honest' about the lack of support and 'Expanding Use' of a FINE audio chipset. While Creative has regularlly expanded the features and use of the chipset in the ZS notebook card (added EAX 4.0 support, refined the HD support, and made regular driver updates), they have left the owners of the NX sound card BACK in the 20th Century. There is NO support for; EAX 4.0, Open AL, OR THX for my NX the very same people have gone out of their way to provide ALL of those features and regular updates and expansion of these SAME features in the ZX Notebook card. I have both of these cards, and have used both in my HP Pavilion zd8230us Notebook computer. I have to be clear and precise, the difference in; sound, use, and capabilities of the ZX to the NX is like putting a SB 'Li've' card against and Audigy 4 card. I paid the exact same amount of money for BOTH cards, yet (because my mobo does not support the PCMCIA card) I am left with this 'Black Sheep' of the Creative family, and this has me at the point I am seriously thinking of never buying another Creative product for ANY of my four desktops and one notebook in my entire life.
I am experiancing problems with the NX card on; Half Life 2 and HL2 - Episode , ANY Lucasarts game (they work sometimes and mostly do NOT), MOST EA Games titles, and Activision games are not much better. In my current notebook hardware, my Audigy 2 NX is the 'Weak Link' in the chain. I have a Pentium 4 HT 650 (3.4Ghz-800 Mhz FSB), ATI X-600 PCIe 28MB video card, 024 MB 533 MHz DDR2 RAM, and XP Professional with Media Center 2005. My Audigy 2 NX is what is keeping this system from reaching it's FULL and AWESOME capabilities in; Gaming, DVD playback, TV HD audio, Media Center On Line services, CD & DVD Audio playback, and every other Audio aspect of my near cutting edge system.
This is completely unacceptable, and to add insult to injury. When ever I contact Creative support regarding updated drivers, or problems with the current *MORE than year old drivers, I am told "Creative has no plans to update or upgrade the drivers for your sound card". WOW, that is the lowest point in years of purchasing and using Creatives (usually) fine products and services. Why has Creative turned it's back on the awesome sound card/chipset and is there ANYTHING that a lifetime user of Creative products can do to get more and better support for the ONLY product you make that is compatible (as per HP) with my new notebook computer? I am dead tired of this product being the 'Bottleneck' in my system. I am frustrated, to the extreme, at the completely apathetic technical support for a 'same priced' item as the ZX.
What can a consumer do?

OK, first; thanks for the link. It is very much appreciated. Next, this is the only card compatible with my Pavilion zd8230us (as per HP Senior Support Technicains). I was told that the Audigy 2 zx PCMICA was compatible (BY Creative), only to be told by HP that that card can and will do damage to my notebook. I find it very disturbing that Creative would suggest a product that would damage my computer! Last, the box (for the NX) says that it is 24 bit HD audio 96KHz/02db Signal to noise ratio. As well, it clearly states ON THE FRONT OF THE BOX:

"...EAX ADVANCED HD game effects" 

Sorry, but in English (at least American English) that means it supports EAX in games, yes? lol So, THEY Are the ones that decided to put that on the FRONT of the box, if it doesn't support it then they should have a class action lawsuit filed against them by EVERY SINGLE person that ever purchased an NX and we should be paid for; purchase price, pain and suffering, and puniti've damages. THEN Creative might learn a lesson. roflol

Now on to the 'driver' isssue. Simple, Alexs3d2, the American consumer expects 'Driver Updates'. Why? Simple, what version of Direct X was standard when the NX came out, and what version are we using now? Microsoft sees fit to improve the API that Creative is making money off of, but Creative does NOT see the responsibility to the consumer to keep UP with the technology that we end users update on a regular basis. Next, I am tired of people dogging ATI BECAUSE they have taken on the responsibility to issue monthly driver updates! Granted, Alex, you may well understand 'what' the driver updates ARE better than the average user. However, that does NOT dismiss the BETTER PERFORMANCE that WE experience every single we update or display adapter drivers! Just because slough (on the part of SOME companies) is accepted by a small cross section of the population does not mean that the rest of us should LOWER our expectations? of the company that WE keep in business. Least THEY forget that WE are the reason they ARE in business!!! Driver updates are GOOD. Driver updates are what end users EXPECT. Any company that does not want to support a product that is still on store shelves should just pack up and leave. Period. 

Last, here is a little quote from the back of the NX box. 

"USB 2.0 is only supported in Windows XP and REQUIRES ONLINE SOFTWARE update(s) from Microsoft and SOUNDBLASTER.COM..." 

How the hell am I supposed to accomplish THAT when Creative screws me out of what they tell me I require? 

In closing; this venue is not the only place that I have been sounding off a bout this problem. I have written Creative (SB) Tech support, and they are giving me 'double speak'. I have kept every single email that they have sent back, and cc'd to another email addy for verification. I li've in California, and you can not swing a dead cat without hitting an attorney. I WAS hoping that Creative would be GOOD and RESPONSIBLE partners, but they have forced my hand. I have filed a complaint with the California Department of Consumer Affairs, and am in the process of gathering users for the afore mentioned 'Class Action Lawsuit'. This way, the PEOPLE get to decide WHAT is responsible corporate stewardship, and IF Creative is acting in a deliberate way to misrepresent their products, and their capabilities and IF they should have to release Drivers just the way they tell us they are going to on the packaging!!

MSI KT3 Ultra ARU 5.7 BIOS and SoudBlaster Cards - Audigy

I have flashed my BIOS to 5.7 Version and my sound card start to make a lot of noise (crackling) when play AC3 or DVD. If you dont want to use the new AMD CPU 333 FSB you dont need to flash the BIOS - I have Flashed to 5.6 again but, if you want to use a 333 FSB CPU you can flash the BIOS to version 5.7 and if have sound problems use the PCI latency patch for VIA chipsets.
VIA chipset MotherBoard owners who have through all of the above and still have sound problems with their Soundblaster cards, might want to look into the PCI latency patch for VIA chipsets - get it here:

Since my chip is an unlocked, I cannot easily run it at the default, but I can underclock it. At 100x6.0=600mhz, USB does not work, as well as 100x12.5. Same with 133x6.0 and 133x12.5. It appears to make no difference underclocking or overclocking.
I downloaded the right BIOS listed on MSI's KT3 Ultra-ARU page. I don't think the BIOSes are different anyway, since the same files, changelog, and etc are also listed for the Ultra-2 board.
A thing to note, that this is the onboard VIA-controller USB ports doing this. My Ultra-ARU's NEC-controller USB 2.0 ports work fine in both Win2k and Linux if I hook my mouse and keyboard up in those. This is not an ideal solution for me though.
