AUDIGY ADVANCED

Hi, I have recently bought a dell inspiron 9400 and it had an option in the programe menu to upgrade my current adio to sound blaster audigy advanced mb. so i did it and paid for it. at the end there was a message saying " you sound blaster audigy advanced mb has been successfully activated. run the downloaded MBsetup.exe". I have been searching all day for this file in my hadr disk, but I could'nt find it. can anybody please please help me in this. I dont know from where to get this file now. I tried Creative but there is no option to download this file again. My audio is "sigmatel HD" though.

Hi Sanjee, I had the same problem. I have been in touch with the Creative helpdesk but they seem quite useless. This is the text of the reply I have had so far: Dear Chris,
Appreciate your reply to Creative Email Technical Support.
As regards to your enquiry, I do understand that you are having issue
with your Audigy Advanced Motherboard.
However, you may like to try downloading the base drivers for the sound
from the motherboard/mainboard manufacturer and ensure that the sound
output is working.
Next, you may like to download and install mbsetup.exe from the
motherboard/mainboard manufacturer. After which, you may like to try
entering the activation key.
Should you have any issue with the activation key, would you mind
providing me the below information, so that I could address them
accordingly:
The customer's full name :
- Telephone number :
- Email address :
- Model number of the Dell Dimension computer which contains the
motherboard :
- Dell Service Tag :
(located standardly on the front of the computer underneath the door
which covers the front-port microphone and headphone jacks)
- Original Activation Code :
- Symptom (has this been reinstalled four times? Are there system
crashes which have caused reinstallations repeatedly?) :
- Reason for requesting the Activation Key# :
- Any other comments that you feel is necessary :
Note that the activation key could only be entered 3 times and the
format of the activation key is CT0 (C, T and a digit zero) not CTO.
I hope that I was able to help you with this information to resolve the
issue and will look forward to your response. Thank you.
Do email back on the status concerning the issue, so that we can assist
you further.
If you still require assistance, please reply to this email with any
previous correspondence to ensure the quickest and most accurate
service.
Best Regards,

I have a sound blaster audigy advanced mb integrated junk () and a cheap labtec microphone. Why doesn't my microphone work in CS:S unless while ingame I unplug it then put it back in?

I think it's a software. I just ordered Dell E405 and upgraded to this option. However, the sound card in my laptop is a SigmaTel HD audio. There's no sign of any Creative Soundblaster in my laptop. If you're planning to order a Dell, don't upgrade to this option. Or if you really want to upgrade, make sure you talk to Dell IN DETAIL before you place your order.

  • Audigy Advanced MB not installing on W7

' I updated to Windows 7 64-bit from 32-bit Vista on my Dell XPS m530, which came with Creative Sound Blaster Audigy Advanced MB. My Sigmatel drivers are installed correctly, but when I try to install Audigy, I get the error "Audio drivers not found, please install audio drivers before running this setup program." Is the software not compatible with Windows 7 yet, is Creative and Dell holding back, or what's the deal?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have the exact same problem.
I'm running an XPS 420, and just upgraded to 64bit Windows 7 today as a Christmas gift.
I have Audigy Advacned MB, and it also says that I don't have my sound drivers installed. Its been working with Vista 32bit'sall along. ?I just moused over my volume control and it says its installed and working fine.
Really want a fix for this from Creative, or someone else. I just want to be able to use my sound card.
    ::EDIT::
I tried reinstalling my 64bit sound drivers, and it still doesn't work.

The Audigy Advanced MB isn't a device, it is an application that makes your onboard sound sound better. Therefore, it doesn't have a "driver", the only drivers involved would be the driver for your onboard sound, which you need to get from Dell.
As for the application itself, it is my understanding that it's not ready for Vista yet, and I am currently trying to get an update on that situation.

  • Sound Blaster Audigy Advanced

I purchased a Dell 705 with Vista and had the software installed and it worked nicely. I sent that laptop back because I did not like Vista and wanted XP Pro SP2 but now Dell is telling me they can not sell anymore because it is not supported. Is that true? How can I go about getting for my Dell 705?running XP Pro SP2?Thank you,

What they are telling is total BS. What that is that you got is a software upgrade, not a hardware. Sound Blaster Audigy Advanced MB is a software that emulates your current Audio hardware only. So when you sent back your laptop, you should of kept the CD. THey are not sending you the CD anymore and you need the Key on the CD to activate the software. There is another post of someone who emailed creative and got a new key from them and they told him that the activaction was only good for 3 installs. The reason for this is because it is a software thats why you only get 3 installs. If it was a hardware, creative would have a bunch of angry people cause you?can only install the drivers for a hardware 3 times?...doesn't make any sense you know. I would never buy creative if that was true. So remember this is a software and not a hardware. So when you though you paid for?what you though was an?hardware upgrade, it was in fact only a software you were buying extra. CHEEZY!

  • Integrated Sound Blaster Audigy ADVANCED HD Help

Hey guys, I was hoping maybe someone could help me... I have the Integrated Sound Blaster Audigy ADVANCED HD driver but its only for 32-bit operating systems. I am running windows 7 64 bit and I was wondering if there are any 64 bit drivers around since I couldn't find any on google. If not, are they planning to release one anytime soon? Thanks for the help.

You know I did that and it worked. Thanks you.
I should mention that when I contiued the activation it failed to load giving an error saying no audio driver. So, I went to the Dell website and downloaded the sigmatel audio file, re-installed and it worked. However the saga continues as it only sees 2. speakers when I have a 5 speaker system and i can't figure out how to change that settings. I followed the help instruction but under the confiuration I am not given any option. so still some work to be done. I would have expected the process to be simpler, you really would need to be quite skilled to be doing all this tweaking, if you were a novice you'd be lost!

  • Sound Blaster Audigy ADVANCED HD Audio??

I had this for my Dell XPS M70 on Vista but now that i've upgraded to windows 7 i can't find anything on this.
I tried to download the windows 7 driver("SB24_PCDRV_LB__04_0090") from creative's website but it says it does not detect any supported device on my computer.

  • Creative SoundBlaster Audigy Advanced MB software activation probl

Hello!?I bought?a software named Creative SoundBlaster Audigy Advanced MB, when I ordered my notebook Inspiron 720 from DELL, on the 8th? of September, 2007. They provided a CD for the software, which I installed, and it worked. But then later that day (when I recieved the laptop), I formatted the hard-disk for the following reasons - ) It only had 2 partitions for the entire dri've, one of which was a recovery partition, and I wanted to create more.2) I wanted to remove MediaDirect.3) I wanted to remove bloatware that DELL gave me with it, ie, DELL Quickset, DELL Support, DELL this, DELL that, Norton AntiVirus etc.4) I wanted Vista installed by my way. After I had done everything I wanted, I started to re-install the Creative software, the same way like I did before. But this time, when it took me to the transaction page and asked me for the reason of re-installing this software, it said "The CD Key has expired."?I have tried 2 different browsers,?I have cleared my cache, I have penta-checked my CD-Key before each install and have done anything a Computer Software engineer (me) would do, with the help of the Internet as well. But my every effort went in vain. Then, I did something I didn't want to do, I contact DELL technical support. Their solutions ranged from installing the latest drivers (yes, drivers for a software), to removing and re-installing the latest Internet Explorer (yes, they asked me to REMOVE IE) to put the HARDWARE in some other machine. Quite clearly, the 4 support executi'ves I talked to there at DELL had no clue as to what is going on and what is the problem. Then, after a 2 hours chat with another one of them, I was told that they just provide the software, and it is Creative's duty to handle everything later and asked me to talk to you. The email support page do not have the option of support for this software, so I selected some other product but sent my problem.
It would be very nice to know if there exists a solution to this problem, and how should I approach it. It has only been 20 days since I bought this software. Thank you!

Finally, I got a reply from the email team, and they sought some further information, which I duly provided. Then, they provided me with a new CD Key. But here is the thing, they say after 3 times of re-installing the software, I will have to pay for it. What? Why would I pay for something which I bought, again and again? The whole world knows about Windows Vista, how incompatible it is with more than 80% of the software, and it will be the same till SP is released. I have since this Sunday gone have re-installed vista 4 times, once due to the fact that AHCI in the BIOS was not enabled by default, and I had to re-do the installation, then it was SATA drivers not presentonthe Vists disk, then the nVidia drivers had problem with Vista and it crippled it and won't go and then the Windows Media Player , quite clearly still not fully functionable, made my system bust. And I can say that it will happen again, so why do I have to pay some part of the software's price again? I am not using it on any other machine, and that is checked by it's CRC checker anyways, I am not using it for any business project, which shouldn't be a problem even if I did, as I own it. If any of you guys have an answer to this, please let me know.
Thank you, and have a very nice day all!

    ayasystems,
Did you contact Customer Support.... If you're referring to this forum, then I'll have to point you towards the red announcement at the top of each board, this forum is for user interaction, not for support.
What you're experiencing is normal, the sound you're getting through is only a stereo signal, so it'll play over the front speakers.

I have also tried to download from Dell, this did nothing. When try to run Media Player I get 'Creative Mediasource' stating 'unable to load the Theme Engine' and then 'CTCMS.exe - Application error'. Is it not possible to erase all the old installation and reinstall?I have 3yr warranty with Dell, but they say software problems are dealt with on the phone, which you have to pay for.Can anyone help?

Don't think it exists... please correct me if I am wrong! I am highly incensed that my Dell E505 will not play my music free of dropouts. This needs a fix now! Creative appears to have been asleep at the switch.
