Audigy Driver as default in cubasi

Every time i open cubasis, i must go into the audio setup dialog and set the acti've driver to the 24/96. it seems likely that there is a way to set the 24/96 as the default driver, and avoid this step. Is that possible? Thanks

You can´t customize this.
The default scheme is in main program RPCALCX0. For example, in Spain include RPCINIE0 " initialization for Spain"
FORM INIT_PARAMS-NATIO.
SCHEMA = 'E000'.
ENDFORM.
If you want modify default schema, you must introduce coding in RPCALCX0 customer include.

What happened to new Vista Audigy Drive

Okay, so I check for new Vista drivers (with apps so I can use MIDI and soundfonts!) for my Audigy card every night. I was hopeful when X-Fi drivers were released last week. No Audigy drivers? Did I miss something? WILL there be new Vista 32 drivers with apps for Audigy cards or is CL abandoning them completely?
If CL goes down that path, what X-Fi cards will do MIDI with soundfont apps (like XP soundfont manager - loading soundfont banks into computer memory)?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. So much frustration!

dear one and all! greetings to all who are breaking their head after buying vista and trying to make their 5. system woking. i downloaded the vista audigy driver from the support site of creative but i have lets say only 0 per cent of the performance. there is no 5. output, no add on drivers and no mixers , the usual hoopla hapla one gets while buying new hardware! i was wondering if the moderators could help me ! what shoud i do get 5. audio with vista and audigy. i already have the vista driver. it doesnt seem to help. please help! thanks in advance!

Audigy 2 zs default device is

I recently had to replace my system's Main hard dri've (due to a crash issue of the origional)
After obtaining my system's origional loaded software, I have re-built the system & it's operational once again.
All is fine except for issue..
If I select my Audigy 2 zs card?as my Sound playback / Default device,... I get NO sound.
But if I select a different card,..(that I possibly loaded a driver for when re-building the system)?,... I get sound.
Is this possibly an "on-board" motherboard sound card causing a conflict?
Would?the manufacturer?still have?an on-board card,.. even though the system came with the PCI slot Audigy 2 card?
I have tried re-loading the Audigy software & drivers several times...but still can't select it as the "default" sound playback device without losing the audio output.
The Audigy 2 zs?shows up in the recording device box & the Midi playback device,...although that causes no issues being "selected".
I also get crash errors running some of the options that are found for the Audigy sound card (Diagnostics, Equalizer, THX etc.)
accessed by?double-clicking the shortcut icon added in the lower right desktop shortcuts.
I didn't do anything?in the BIOS from the origional setups,... I just installed & loaded a new hard dri've.
So IF the BIOS origionally was set up for the PCI card, wouldn't it STILL be?

Yeah,....that was it.
I went home from work after my post, and went to the BIOS settings & disabled the on-board card.
After saving the settings?I finished the boot-up & logged in.
I went to the audio settings in the control panel & my Audigy card was already set as the playback device.
I also went through the options for the sound card with no errors/ crashes on the program.
NOW,.. I'm wondering if I need to make sure my on-board video (if present) is not set as default.
I'd much rather be using the 256 meg card the system came with.

i want to install the driver for my Audigy souncard. im pretty sure the chipset is the emu10k1. I downloaded the driver from http://sourceforge.net/projects/emu10k1/
according to that post,

How can I make the external hard drive my default to save everything on it?

Hi everyone,
I have a new Macbook with retina but I had to buy the one with lower Flash Disk space and faster processor,
but when I realized that I could buy external hard drives I bought one, so I was wondering if I could change the default Flash Drive to the external one so apps and all my files, music and content save in this one instead of the one inside the mac

SSD is the internal flash memory.
Use SuperDuper! or Carbon Copy Cloner to "clone" (exact copy) the SSD to the external.
Then go to System Preferences > Startup Disk and select the external HD as the startup disk.

No, this isn?t April st and I kid you not. Creative really does think that people are going to pay money for a driver. Understandably, Creative customers are getting emotional over this. Destroying your reputation over $9.99 ? bad move.
This charging money for drivers game is getting real old. Any company that tries to pull this kind of stunt is underhandedly?double dipping customers. There?s no excuse for it. I for one won?t be buying any more Creative Labs gear until they get the message that providing drivers is a service that customers have already paid for when they bought the hardware in the first place.

Just because a game works in XP does not mean that it has to work in Vista. And this is exactly what ALchemy does; it ?fixes? a problem with games designed for XP or earlier versions of Windows. It has nothing to do with games designed for Vista. Even with ALchemy, there are many games that worked in XP that will never work in Vista.
I am actually surprised that Creative made ALchemy at all. This is really something that the game companies should have come up with because it is really their products that are being ?fixed?. If a game is made specifically for Vista and the game advertises that it uses EAX effects, then Creative won?t have to provide anything but the basic sound driver for that to work.
As far as saying that it is ?pointless semantics?, you?re flat out wrong. The games that ALchemy ?fixes? never made a guarantee that they would provide EAX in Windows Vista and all anyone has to do is point to the system specs on the game box and say ?show me where it says Windows Vista?. Like it or not, it was actually very generous of Creative to provide ALchemy, even if they charge a sundry $0 for it.

How do I assign a folder on a non-boot drive as default for certain media types?

I want the default folder for iTunes, iPhoto, Aperture, iMovie and iDVD to be on separate drives from the boot drive. Hoe do I change these individiually?
Also - what is the best way to create an automatic mirror of them onto other drives?
For example, 4HD (3 plus boot) plus external case with 5 drives, so drive number 1-9:
iPhoto drive 2 - mirror drive 5
Aperture drive 2 - mirror drive 6
iMovie/iDvd drive 4 - mirror drive 9
iTunes drive 3 - mirror drive 6

No - albums are virtual things that exist only in the iPhoto database - another view of photos in your library like events, photos, places, etc
you are going to have to explain yourself - things like the versions of iPhoto and the OS, do you have two iPhoto libraries one on each drive or only one - exactlhy what you want to do and to accomplish

Unlike earlier versions, FF27.0.1 won't accept the root of a drive as default download dir. How do I change that?

I usually save downloads to the root of F:\ and have that set in my options. Since version 27.0.1 came along, Firefox ignores my setting and defaults to MyDocuments\Downloads.
Reverting to version 26 or earlier corrects the problem and my downloads go to F:\, but updating to 27.0.1 brings the problem back.
A workaround is to create a subdirectory and save to there, but I want to save in the root like I always did before version 27.0.1.
How can I make the current Firefox save downloads in the root of a stipulated drive?

Changing MS Office (test drive) from default word processor

Sorry for sucking up so much topic space, but I spent the better part of an hour trying to figure out how to change my legitimate MS word 2004 to the default word processor from the test drive version that comes on the MBP. Everytime I click on a MS word file I get an error message because I deleted the test drive version that was set as the default to open the word documents--how do i change this???
Any ideas? Seriously, I googled it and everything, it must be more simple than this!

If you have removed the test drive from your computer, and now have the full version of Office installed, highlight the file, click on the More Info tab to the right. A box will open that will have a drop down that says "open with" . In the list you will see the option for Microsoft Word (default). If this doesn't work, then you haven't truly removed the test drive, and that could be the problem. If so run the uninstaller again that comes in your MS Office folder under "Additional Tools". Good luck!

Boot sequence reverts to external drive as default

When troubleshooting a now-resolved problem in my dual G5, I set up a clean installation on a partition on my external drive, and then used the OPTION key to boot to it. Everything got fixed, except now the machine automatically boots to that drive when I turn it on or restart. How do I reset the default boot drive back to my internal HD?

Using F: Drive as default for Itunes instead of C drive?

Hope some tech-savvy user can help me. (But maybe this is simple and I am an idiot after trying to figure it out for 2 hours on my own with no success.) We bought a 800 Gig external hard drive (F) and I moved my Itunes library (movies, podcasts, music) over to F drive. Itunes library is now blank. How can I get Itunes to go to F drive as the new default? My 75 gig C drive was 1/2 full with my Itunes stuff. thanks for advice in advance!

Trouble importing existing library to secondary hard drive (non-default path)

Had my itunes library previously on a secodary internal drive with non-default path (d:\itunes) and was working fine. Forgot how I originally migrated it 2 years ago. Running off XP. Now, my pc crashed. Was able to save itunes library (music apps, etc.). Now running off Windows 7. still want to have itunes folder on secondary (d) drive for space reasons. Installed itunes program on c drive.
1.) uninstalled program-generated default itunes folders in "my music" on c: drive
2.) changed file path in advanced tab of itunes program to reflect location of itunes library (d:\itunes).
3) removed .xms file from d:\itunes folder and placed on desktop. Deleted .itl file.
4.) realized there was no "import library" tab in itnes v11. Uninstalled and installed itunes v9 from itunes website.
5.) repeated steps 1-3.
6) imported library (.xms file) from desktop.
This worked. Kind of.
first, no apps are recognized in itunes. second: itunes recognized musci media and playlists, but (in addition to re-installing default itunes media folders in "my music" on c: drive, this step made duplicate copeies of all musci files in the itunes folder on d: drive.
Please help. I would like to have access to my apps, and certailnly don't need to have duplicate music files (which, if I delete duplicates, itunes does not recognize originals.

You can try fixing the broken links with my script FindTracks.
I have another script called DeDuper which can help remove unwanted duplicates. See this thread for background.
For the future have a look at my techniques for making a split library portable. This should get your library all stored in a way that makes it much easier to backup and move in future.

Problems with new Audigy driv

I have just installed a Sound Blaster Audigy Platinum Model SB0090 to replace my old SB Li've. When upgrading from older Audigy drivers to the latest drivers available on the Creative support website, I find that they cause serious problems with my 4. digital speaker system (Boston BA7500G). With either of the newest drivers installed, when I adjust the volume using either the Creative Surround Mixer or the Creative Remote Control, it causes the rear speakers to stop working. Closer investigation revealed that moving the volume slider in Creative Surround Mixer had a strange effect in Windows Audio Control Panel. Upon opening the Speaker Volume tab in Windows Audio Control Panel, it revealed 8 speaker channels (suggesting that it detected the Audigy card as a 7. when in fact it only supports? 5.). When I moved the volume slider on the Creative Surround Mixer (in either direction) it had the effect of moving all but three of the speaker volume sliders in the Windows Audio Control Panel (Right Channel, Left Channel and Channel 8) to zero, with the result that the rear speakers stopped working. Inm other words, Windows was insisting that the speaker setup was 2. and not 4. as in the Surround Mixer selection. ?It made no difference if either or both of the checkboxes ?Synchronize with Windows Control panel? in Creative Audio Console or ?Move all sliders at the same time? in Windows Control Panel were checked or not. This problem is present in both SBAX_PCDRV_LB_2_8_000.exe and SBAX_PCDRVBETA_US_2_8_000.exe. It does not appear to be present with the older driver SBAX_WBUP2_LB_2_09_006.exe, so for now I have rolled back to that. In fact, with SBAX_WBUP2_LB_2_09_006.exe Windows Audio Control Panel only shows 2 channels in the Speaker Volume tab; Left Channel and Right Channel, but all speakers in my 4. system work and the controls in Creative Surround Mixer and Remote Control all work fine. I would like to be able to take advantage of the fixes available in the two newer drivers but they cause me serious problems. Can anybody help? Finally, the presence of a beta driver on the website suggests that a newer version is coming soon. I wonder?if this issue be addressed with the new driver.

I have some problem as you with new drivers SBAX_PCDRV_LB_2_8_000.exe and SBAX_PCDRVBETA_US_2_8_000.exe. Only in my case I use SB Audigy and headphone 5.. Always when I check 5. in Audio Console it reset to 2.. I can set 2. or headphone only.Message Edited by AlkaliX on 09-3-2008 09:53 AM

Xerox Print driver loads default driver

I have an issue with a Xerox 7845 loading properly on one machine. The machine is running Windows 7 Pro x86. The printer is on a print server and is working properly for all other machines. I have installed another print driver on same
machine and that one loads the proper driver. It just loads a default driver and will not load the proper Xerox WorkCentre 7845 PS driver. When installing the printer from print server or locally it works on all the other machines I tried (all
the same make/model/operating system)
Troubleshooting step I've taken:
Removed device and reloaded printer - Also tried with a restart in between
Went into registry "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Environments\Windows NT x86\Drivers\Version-3" and removed all Xerox drivers
Tried to reload the driver on the print server - Printer says it has the correct driver but does not give me the correct printer properties (only the default Xerox Global Print driver settings) All the other machines I've tested on give me the proper properties
Downloaded newest driver from Xerox - Installed printer locally on machine, and again same issue with not showing the proper printer properties.
With all of these steps, I've ruled out it being a printer issue, and narrowed it down to just this one machine. Would anyone have any suggestions or a solution for this issue?
