Audigy gamer drivers and downlo

I have had some problems with the audigy drivers listed on your website. I am installing them on a cleanly formatted hd with xp sp. I installed the 's first like instructed. I then rebooted and procceeded to install the eax4drv installation. On rebooting I got a bsod. I was not able to uninstall the drivers in xp's uninstall aplet because the files didn't show up there. I had to use device manager to uninstall the card. I really would of liked to be able to uninstall the proper way?
I now have the drivers installed and would like to be able to install the audigy headquarters. I have the update for the headquarters downloaded but need the original headquarters to make it load? I cannot load it from my orig disk by itself like I want?? These are obvious oversites. # we should be able to load applications independantly off the original disk. #2 The drivers are stand alone ....... be nice if the headquarters was too. I find your site to be a mishmash of downloads hard to decipher what you really need. Then doesn't have what you really need to boot? As the preeminent producer of sound cards I would exspect better.
Can we please get a download for the headquarters included? Please
As a suggestion for the future it would be nice to see sets of necessary drivers and headquarter controls in a single download. Kinda like nvidia does or ati. I have read here in your forums enough to know others would appreciate the same thing. Drivers can dri've a person batty as it is without introducing uncessary complications to them. Thankee

Kani'ver,
Thank you for the input, I will pass the suggestions for the website along.
I do have an answer for oversight # however:
You can install individual applications off of the original disk by choosing to do a Custom Install. This will give you an application by application list of what you want and do not want installed. For the Audigy 2 and other more recent cards this is even easier as they have a modify/repair/remove option. I would suggest trying this to get Audio HQ installed prior to running the update. This could help to avoid the BSOD that you were getting.

  • Help Please. I updated my Audigy ZS drivers and now no Multimedia Audio Controller fou

    Running WinXP Pro. I decided to update my drivers as reports were showing them to be out dated. Fine, no biggie. After updating, I now have no MAC found.
    I have tried everything I can think of. I have used DHdri've cleaner pro to remove any previous drivers, reinstalled, no luck. I moved to a different PCI slot, still no luck. Tied older drivers, still no luck.
    I eventually had to take the card our and enable the crappy on board audio just to have sound again..
    any tips would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

    Well you are in a Pickle..... Bet you are gonna have to do a fresh install of yoour XP pro and use your old drivers. It is my belief that CL has no idea on how to write drivers for their hardware anymore at least that is a stable enough ... my opinion.... not fact but with all the problems with the X-fi and drivers....

  • Audigy 2 drivers on Audigy 1 possible?

    Hello,
    is it possible to install the recent Audigy 2 drivers and applications?on my Audigy ? If yes how would i do that?

    Like this......
    The above pack was created by a very talented young man which allows your card a bit more life into Windows 7. The card does have problems with the Microphone under 64 bit operating systems and memory over 4 gigs. But **bleep** it still sounds great.

  • Audigy Gamer and HTIB (Home Theater in a B

    Hi,
    I would like to play DVDs on my PC and output the sound to my HTIB speakers. I've bought a Camcorder A/V cable that has a 4-pole minijack, plugged it into the Gamer at one end and the coax (RCA) in on the DVD player at the other end. I'm not getting any sound at all. I tried using a couple of different free DVD software players, InterActual and PowerDVD.
    I've read on this forum that only the purchased, more sophisticated DVD player software will allow this. Before I shell out for a full-featured program, can someone from Creative verify whether or not the Audigy Gamer is capable of sending sound to a HTIB?
    Many thanks,
    gcube

    TheJ,
    That's exactly the info I needed. I was under the mistaken impression that Windows XP magically updated my hardware drivers, so I didn't even look at that possibility. I downloaded/installed the Console, found the S/PDIF passthrough and finally got sound out of my HTIB speakers.
    The sound was choppy to start with but sorted itself out without my doing anything.
    In case this may be of use to others, these are the settings I used:In AudioHQ:AC-3 Decode uncheckedSpeakers = 5.Digital Out Only checked
    In Audio ConsoleSpeakers = 5.CMSS2 option selectedDecoder = Passthrough
    All other settings were default ones.
    Hardware from La Source (formerly Radio Shack here in Canada) Cable = Nexxtech Evolution Audio/Video Dubbing Cable 7.2m (24ft) part number 50539N (RCA male both ends) $4.99 CdnAdapter = Nexxtech Gol-Plated Phono Jack to /8" (3.5mm) mono phone plug. Part number 2740897 $4.49 Cdn
    La Source also has a Shielded Audio Cable with the correct plugs (no adapter needed) part number 4202444N for $6.99 Cdn. I have not tested it because it was too short (.8m or 6ft) for my setup, but I don't see why it should not work.
    Once again, many thanks for the help.g3

  • Audigy 2 card with Audigy 2 ZS drivers and Live Driv

    I recently bought a Li've!Dri'veII bay for my system. To use this I plugged it into my Audigy 2 Value card which I have had for about 2 years. The bay came bundled with a SoundBlaster Li've! Platinum.
    I tried to install my drivers, but as a Platinum, but the Bay still did not respond, didnt send anything out or receive a signal in. There is definitely power because when I plug in the headphones you can hear some white noise, but thats it.
    I searched round for a solution and one was to install the Audigy 2 ZS drivers. I did this by following the following instructions:
    http://driverheaven.net/showthread.php?s&threadid=45004
    This allowed me to also enable lots of extras such as the THX console and other stuff previously unused as my Audigy 2 drivers didnt have them.
    Now I have 2 problems:
    ) my Li've!Dri'veII Bay isn't working and
    2) In games I get sound glitches such as random noises that shouldnt be there, Missing noises such as gunshots are not heard or parts of the noise are missing.
    So what do I need to do to sort this out, because I do wish to be able to use my system to its full potential.
    Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.

    David,
    If you go into the surround mixer or Windows mixer do you see a listing for the front panel inputs (line in2/mic in2, Aux 2, etc)? If so, are any of them muted? If you go to start/programs/Creative/SB Audigy/Audio HQ/Device Settings, do you show a headphone tab? If so what options are enabled in there?
    Double check your ribbon cable connection and maybe even swap sides of the cable.

  • Audigy 2 ZS and Vista - updated drivers, now no sound

    I was running Windows XP Pro and updated to Vista Home Premium. I installed the Audigy 2 ZS Vista beta drivers and the sound worked fine. I recently downloaded the new drivers (SBAXVSD_PCDRV_LB_2_2_0002) and now I have no sound Everything seems find in the control panel, no conflicts, it says the sound card is working, but the speaker icon in the system tray has a little red X on it and claims that there is no audio device installed. I have tried reinstalling the beta drivers, but they no longer work. I've tried several complete driver deletes and reinstalls, no joy.... Is anyone else experiencing this? Is there a solution?

    A little bit off topic here, but 64bit does not mean more performance at all lol.
    Sure, but there are in some cases drastic performence diferences. Under a fresh installed Vista X64 i have less CPU usage, as under 32 bit. But of course X64 uses more RAM (some tasks are double 32 and 64 bit).But the main reason I have more performence is, that the games I often play, get almost a boost. Dont ask me why, but under 64 bit EAW and FOC have the same FPS as under 32 bit. But under X64 I use a bit more Details and a higher resolution. (both are 32 bit games, so its a bit funy )?______________________?Sure there are other ways to install the drivers. But if some Setup dosent work, the first thing I try is to get it via Divice Management. And as this worked for me, I dont waste time to try other methods (Had bad experience, you can break the driver faster than install it *G*)?______________________?Some Questions I have left (after a few hours undr X64 with Creative Drivers):?Could it be, that the driver causes sometimes havy CPU usage?Could it also be, that the driver causes some lags, after you copy a file (the end sound, copy is finihed, but takes more time for "final finish", than without the drivers) - I know that Vista has some problems, on some PCs with copy, and that MS has an inoficial Patch (but dosent help for my PC so far)

  • Audigy 4 - Vista drivers and software urgently nee

    you know... i have this sound card (Audigy 4 - non pro) for over one year now, AND i don`t have a good driver and software for windows vista home premium x64. last driver for this sound card is:
    . Creative Sound Blaster Audigy series Vista Driver 2.2.0002 (38.30 MB) 6 Mar 07.
    i mean... 6 mar. 07
    how long do i have to wait for you, to relase all the software it is on windows xp oh, this audigy 4 was not intended to use with vista, wright and you want everybody to buy that x-fi sound card with another set of problems in windows vista. nice marketing solution. good for you ONLY.
    i`m just tired waiting. my card doesn`t work as it should, nor as it worked in windows xp.
    i need all that software. all of it, working under vista. PRONTO!
    you will provide that software, or you just lost me as a customer, and along with me, alot more.
    btw, daniel_k was only helping people, by providing drivers and software YOU couldn`t, or you just didn`t wanted to. stop deleting his posts or links to the drivers made by him.
    just stop that abbusi've marketing strategy, by not releasing software for older sound cards, and forcing customers to buy your new products. no, that wouldn`t happend.

  • Dtt3500 and Audigy Gamer, digital output only 2 channel unless its D

    Ok I recieved a response concerning my last comment but unfortunatly it did not answer my question at all. I have a DTT3500 and a sound blaster Audigy Gamer hooked up with the digital out to the /8 din adapter. I try the advanced 3d demo that came with the Audigy software and I only hear the front 2 channels, no center and no rears. The demo where you move the little icons and sound moves along with it. I have 5. activated in my windows control center along with audioHQ and digital out only is selected. my DTT3500 has 4./5. digital selected along with dolby digital/pcm audio and digital in. I am not getting the effect of multisurround at all. My center works and my rears work because playing music I can use all 5 speakers. When I use the analogue outputs I hear multisurround from the advanced 3d demo but my center doesnt work. The analogue setup sounds better but without a center channel its useless to me. Am I doing something wrong? I am using the adapter and digital DIN, what gives? The only reason I noticed I wasnt getting surround was while playing games nothing comes from behind you even on 5. games. The goldmine demo doesnt even work right, when the bird flys behind you it disappears but there is still sound from the rears. Analogue fixes this without a center but the manual and setup say to use the digital din. Do I just have a setting wrong? I would like to experiance the full capacity of multispeakers in my games.

    Dennis,
    With these speakers the connection that I would suggest would be to use the Digital out on the back of the sound card into the DIN Input on the DTT3500's. This will require a converter cable for /8'' Minidin to standard DIN which can be purchased from here:
    http://us.creative.com/products/prod...0&product=0375
    You will also need a standard DIN cable (one should have shipped with your DTT3500's).
    This should give you 5. with digital output only enabled on the Audigy.

  • Sound Blaster Audigy Drivers and Applications CD-Rom

    Does anyone know where I can get or download?the "Sound Blaster Audigy" "Drivers and applications" CD-rom?
    I have included a pic below:
    <img alt="cd-rom" src="http://www.geocities.com/pershingbpa/soundblastercd.jpg" align="left[/img] width="70" height="705">

    jay23,
    First extract the RAR file you downloaded using WinRar. During the extraction, WinRar will create an ISO file which is an image of the installation CD. If you don't want to burn that ISO file to a CD, then download and install MagicDisc from the link I gave above. MagicDisc lets you mount an ISO file as a virtual hard dri've. You should be able to install from that virtual CD just as if it were a real hard copy CD, but I've never tried that so can't say for certain.

  • Latest drivers and audigy applicati

    hi
    i'd like to know ...if i install the lastest driver for the audigy on vista 32 bits, will the applications from danielK's drivers still work with the new driver
    i mean that i d like to use the applications which danielk provided for vista and the latest driver.
    did anyone test this

    I have been running the Daniel K's drivers on Vista Ultimate 32 bit. I did the download of the new drivers and let them run without first uninstalling Daniel K's stuff. The drivers installed with no issues. The EAX settings, EQ, Speaker Settings, and Soundfont Bank Manager applets all still show an install date of when I did the Daniel K driver and all still are working.

  • Updated Audigy 2 Drivers bug reports: 32 and 64 b

    I've installed the 64-bit and 32-bit versions of Vista. Here is my experience under each version of the OS installing the updated drivers.
    64-bit version of the drivers: this is the simple explanation, I couldn't get the drivers to work. Upon starting the installation, I glanced at the readme that came up and noticed the directions to disable certified driver check (or whatever it's called). I followed the directions in the readme and rebooted the computer as it said to do. Upon reboot, I installed the drivers and rebooted the computer again. According to the speaker icon in the bottom of the screen, the drivers were installed and the system thought they were working. However, I never once heard any sound. The only problem I was everytime I booted the system, I always got an error message saying CTHelper wasn't running properly and had to be disabled or something along those lines. No matter what I tried, I couldn't get the sound to work.
    32-bt version: I installed the drivers without turning off UAC or disabling the certified driver checking. In other words, I installed the OS and promptly installed the drivers. Upon reboot, I got 4-6 prompts saying some along the lines of "There were 2 unreleased IDrvBMixer interfaces". Once I hit OK on all the prompts, sound worked fine. 5. and EAX are working great here!! As Creative's website says, when I come out of standby I no longer have sound. Those prompts only came up during boot up after the initial driver install. Subsequent bootups have not produced those messages. No idea why.
    Overall, I'm pleased with the effort. Keep up the good work Creative!

    Did you write the initial boot.ini file or is it one that Windows automatically wrote for you?  Are the two OS's on the same HDD or on different HDD's?  Which OS did you install last?
    The Windows written boot.ini has always worked fine for me.  If you installed Win 64 first and then Win 32, that could cause problems.

  • My solution for No Audio -- Conexant drivers and Windows 7 x64

    My son and I have the L2000 laptop that came with 32 bit XP and used the Conexant chipset for Audio. I had been using an SB Audigy PCMCIA card so I am not sure when Audio was really lost; however, he noticed it when I upgraded his PC. I scoured various forums looking for 64 bit  Windows 7 drivers for Conexant audio but to no avail. Microsoft and Conexant both said that HP should supply the drivers. By the way HP, the Conexant website says that they do not supply drivers even though they make the chipsets "at the request of the OEM's." Another post said that HP was not going to supply these drivers for Windows 7. The solution from HP for my model and Windows 7 was the "HP Software Advisor" which was 67MB and totaly useless. It appears that this is a very common problem. Anyway, here is what you do:
    First you need 2 files which ironically enough come from HP, they are SP35558.exe and SP35558.cva They contain the Conexant drivers for Vista x64. (I subsequently have found the 32 bit drivers and the procedure should be very similar except the files are SP34789.exe and SP34789.cva). Type the following into your browser address bar ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/ About half way down you will find the sub-directory with these files. Just right click each one and save to your desktop.
    Double click SP35558.cva and tell Windows to use Notepad to open it. Scroll about half way down to "[Operating Systems]" and after "WV64UL=OEM" insert:
    W764HB=OEM
    W764HP=OEM
    W764PR=OEM
    W764UL=OEM
    ( For 32 bit systems use W732HB=OEM, etc.)
    I next went up about 10 lines to "[System information]" and added
    SysId3=0x3091
    SysName3=HP Pavilion ze2000 series
    SysId4=0x3096
    SysName4=Compaq presario M2000 series

    I got this information from another cva file on my PC at C;/swsetup/ This is the directory where HP updates default to.
    After modding the cva file, I saved it to C;/swsetup/sp35558/
    I then executed the SP35558.exe file. It did not work the first time -- I missed a line in my cva file. However, I then manually installed the Conexant drivers as follows and voila I had sound, nice crisp clear sound.
    Under Device Manager, right click "Multimedia Audio Device" under "Other" and choose "Update Driver" Then" Browse your PC" and "Choose from a list". Select "Sound, audio and game controllers", then Conexant, then "Have Disk" . Browse to C:/swsetup/sp35558/ and open "cp6308Ba.inf" (64bit remember). Now choose "OK" and ignore any warnings about incompatibility, WHQL, etc. Give it plenty of time, you might think you are in a loop, but you are not. Congratulations, you are done.
    This question was solved.

    I thought that I would recompile my answer and then mark this thread as solved since it was not a post about a problem but rather how I solved a very common problem that might be of benefit to others.

    The use of the cva file is to streamline the driver install and it is kind of cool if it works. If you cannot find it or you are not successful the first time or you do not want to bother with modding anything, do not worry, the manual install will work for sure.
    Run sp35558.exe to extract everything and let it strike out. Then go to Device Manager and update the driver manually as follows:
    Under Device Manager, right click "Multimedia Audio Device" under "Other" and choose "Update Driver" Then "Browse your PC" and "Choose from a list". Select "Sound, audio and game controllers", then "Conexant", then "Have Disk".
    Hope this helps.
