  • Audigy 1 Platinum and Prince of Persia:Warrior Wit

Ok, I have an Audigy Platinum. I recently updated to the latest drivers and everything. I usually don't like updating the drivers for this card, but i recently had to due to PowerDVD6 sound not working correctly in 5.. Well I fixed the PowerDVD6 problem, and now have a new problem. I recently installed Prince of Persia :Warrior Within, and once passed the UBI soft logo, the sound shuts off, and I'm left without sound. I also noticed that when I ALT-TAB back to the desktop, I go to my AUDIO HQ, and check the EAX Control panel, and its empty, no presets, or environments.. All I wanna know is, WHAT DO I DO?!!!!
I would hate to have to purchase a new Card, even I understand this is an older card..
    Please Help!!

I have the same problem, is there some way to change the language settings?
Edit:: press the i (info button) then press twice the first button, you can choose languages by clicking the right flag

  • Prince of Persia 3D on FX5200-128

    Hi ,
:-]]]ALL games are fine, EXCEPT with Prince of Persia 3D(NOT sands of time), it crashes after the first movie logo . The only way to run POP3D is to disabling "direct draw" . the game grafics are still OK, but is soooo slow.
    Thanks for your attention.

    Hi ,
I tested the game with my old vodoo 3 3000 and the game goes perfectly . But with my Geforce FX 5200 the game crashes . I think it could be a "opengl" or "direct3d" configuration of my geforcefx5200, but I don´t know how options try first(so much combined options ).
:idea:One final question, Is that a problem if I put my old vodoo 3 3000 in the same computer with geforcefx5200???
Sorry for my english, I´m from Brazil.
    Thank you.

I had the same problem with my 6600GT and POP, so I applied the patch.  The game started but the tearing was so bad in the menu screen you couldn't play.  Ended up having to set the vsync option in the drivers to 'OFF' instead of 'application-controlled'.  This cleared up the problem.
Thats sounds more like a driver issue... try with another version..

  • Prince of Persia the NON HD version

Well I have both HD and nonHD versions, and considering the HD version wasnt intended for the 5800, it lags like hell, so I downloaded the 2D version from Ovi Store, and what do you know, the thing cannot load the 9th stage. Anyone know where to get a correctly running one? Also some games from the store doesnt work. Dont they test them?
If you find my post helpful please click the green star on the left under the avatar. Thanks.

I dont belive a non HD version is available in the app store.  Contact the developers for further clarification.

  • Lenovo G550 Graphics Very Bad, want to install external GPU

    Hi everyone!
I own a Lenovo G550 (model 20023). It currently has a Intel Pentium Dual Core T4500, Intel Graphics Media Accelerator(That's one hell of a bad GPU!!!!), 4Gb DDR3 Ram(had 2gb DDR3 Factory Installed), with 3 operating systems(Yes, three!).
I can see that the Gpu bottlenecks the whole Computer. My objective is to run Prince Of persia:Forgotten Sands at a proper resolution and at medium Graphics Mode without High Resolution Textures(or Minecraft at about 100 fps At full setting, in 16x16 texture pack).
I see that the only way to safely increase without turning my computer into a paperweight si by using a External Gpu. But, I dont know anything about them(like Where to get them readymade, Will it fit into the PCI ExpressCard port etc.). Please give some Information.

    hi atreyabain,
The Intel Graphics Media Accelerator on the G550 is soldered on the motherboard and can't be upgraded. There's also no PCI / PCI-E slot on the mobo where you can add a discrete card. AFAIK, there's no ready made external GPU. You need to do it yourself . See the following:
How to make an external laptop graphics adaptor
How to Upgrade Your Notebook Graphics Card Using DIY ViDOCK
Although it looks promissing, it may not be practical and you're better off buying a mid/high-end rig for your gaming needs.
    Best regards,
    neokenchi

  • NX6800 TD128 problem

    I bought a NX6800 TD128 about 3 weeks ago.
As soon as i had installed it I put doom 3 staight onto my machine, so that I could test how fast it was.  But It wasnt great at all first thing what happened, As soon as i had started the game, was that the whole screen divided Up into small black triangles and flickered like mad . this only happenes If I am moving thou. If I don't move my charecter in doom 3 everything is great but If I start to move the whole monitor flickers. This doesn't only happen with Doom 3 but with XIII or Prince of Persia the Sands of Time. But with the latter two games It isn't so bad with PoP It hardly ever happenes (the flimmering) and with XIII It only happenes In outdoor leveles. But doom 3 Is horrible. I have already installed all the newest drivers for the VGA card (forceware61.77) and I've also got the newest ones for my motherboard (asus A7N8X) And I#ve got SP2. I'm not quite sure if my powersupply is good enough thou. It says It has 500watts butt in real life it only has 5v 30A 3,3 28 A an 15v A with 12v But that should do. I can't think thats the problem because I've already tested the Pc with all the extra bits like Cd drives and PCI cards unplugged and the flickering didn't change. what can I do ? Is my VGA card faulty or something ?
    please help me
    with regards x7aa1186

  • Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS Sta

There are a great many topics about this... Rather than necro posting, I thought I'd make a new topic... My Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS card outputs little chunks of static every once in a while.
Prince of Persia Sands of Time does it all the time. Didn't before.
    Trillian statics on its bee
    ps.
Everquest 2 has really nasty static when underwater.
I know it's not some computer setting as I've formatted...
Is there some sort of problem with Audigy 2 ZS cards? This just started happening to me about a year ago, and I've finally had it. Is my card dead?Message Edited by dalponis on 03-02-20070:09 AM

  • Audigy 4 (non-pro) missing sou

Hi I just got an Audgy 4 card for xmas and it seems like a nice card. I'm having problems with certain games though.
A couple of examples, World of Warcraft the music does not play and some sounds are missing... Prince of Persia 3 has sound but not in the cut sequences. Other games experience missing audio in places too.
I noticed if I turn acceleration from full to standard all sound works fine, but then EAX does not work. But one of the main reasons I wanted this card was for the EAX support.
I have the latest drivers/direct x/win xp sp2 and I'm using desktop stereo speakers at the moment. Anybody have any ideas?

I think you should try some modded driver. It will provide better sound. Try these following links and find out which driver will give your favorite sound. But remember to back up your system (system restore is a good choice before doing so)

  • Windows 7 x64 can't install anything.

Hello guys! I have just bought a new MacBook Pro 13'' (2010) and I wanted to install my games via Bootcamp. So I set up bootcamp and install a copy of Win7 x64, but when the drivers were ready and I tried to install any game it now says - "The version of the file is not compatible with the version of windows that you are running. Check your computer system information to see whether you need and x86 (32-bit) or x64 (64-bit) version of the program and contact the software publisher."
Ok it sounds like I need a 64bit copies of the games, but the thing is I installed the same games from the same DVD's to my brother's 64-bit Win7 machine with no problems.
If it matters the games are - Assassin's creed 2, Prince of Persia The forgotten Sands and Splinter Cell Conviction.
    Thank you for your time.

The game installer or application was on the Mac side, which unlike Windows which uses NTFS, uses an HFS file system instead.
And, you can't run programs off HFS+ if it is read-only.
Apple HFS 'service' is read-only and doesn't enable writing.
Not everyone likes having read-only and wish it was disable button, or they want to write and have to buy MacDrive.
Normally your game would be downloaded, or on CD/DVD to the OS you use it in, not a foreign file system.

  • Hibernate, Frames Dropping

    Sir,
I Have Upgrade Windows 7 To Windows 8.1. Suddenly Before 1 Week My Laptop Automatically Hibernate And Drops FPS. I Cleaned Fan And Reapplying Thermal Paste. I Before 2 Hour Check My Direct x Diagnostics Tool Click Display Tab And Check My Graphics Properties I Check Video Memory Showing 1077 Mb But I Installed CPU-z And Check Properties Show 821 Mb. Whats Wrong My PC. I Playing Age Of Empire Or Prince Of Persia The Forgotten Sands. My PC Configration Intel 2310m @ 2.10Ghz With Intel HD 3000. Please See My Attachment.

No, not the Sequence menu. Forget about the Sequence menu. It has nothing to do with the Sequence menu. Once more, select the sequence in the browser, the sequence that you're editing in, then either right-click on it and select item properties from the shortcut menu, or select Edit>Item Properties, but the sequence MUST be selected in the browser. Not the viewer otherwise you'll get whatever the item properties are of what's in the viewer. I'm sure it's OK, but it's something that needs to be checked.
I asked you a awhile ago but you never said. I just want to confirm the version of FCE you're using. Is it 4.0.1 or something else? Is your QuickTime version 7.6 or later?

  • What games are you looking forward to?

I might have to give this a go tonight when I get home.
Just seeing the video took me back to the old Amiga days.

Hello, I'm really looking forward to Zelda Skyward Sword buy I'm going to wait for a price drop and buy used. Anyway, here's my lists of recently played PS3 Action/Adventure games: Infamous - Loved it, loved it, loved it!  Excellent game! (now playing Infamous 2)5 out of 5 stars Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Loved it, loved it loved it!  A total deviation from the previous Castlevania storylines but much improved and sets the series up for a bunch of sequels as well.5 out of 5 stars Batman Arkum City - OK but I really liked the first one better and I did not like the abrupt and unexpected ending either.31/2 out of 5 stars Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception - Sort of a letdown because I've waited so long for it. 31/2 out of 5 stars Red Dead Redemption - An OK game with too many side quests. Leader board shows one guy assisting almost 5,000 civilians... I completed the game with less than 15 assists (and the assists really don't get you anything)31/2 out orf 5 stars Prince of Persia (not Forgotten Sands) - Started slow but then I got into it..3 out of 5 stars Silent Hill: Homecoming - Slow, boring and weird overall; however, some parts of the game were really fun!21/2 out of 5 stars The Watchman - Funny, goofy, and easy at the same time. The game was so cheap, I had to try it. 21/2 out of 5 stars  Have fun, norepli

  • POP:SOT won't acknowledge admin rights

I'm a newbie here and I came to this specific forum because I thought it was the best fit for my problem.  If any one here can suggest a more appropriate place to be for the problem described below I'd appreciate it.
I bought the game Prince of Persia: Sands of Time but
after installing it and trying to run it a Windows error
pops up saying I must have admin rights to run.  Then
another error says the game process has been manually
killed.  The thing is I'm the only user on the machine
with admin rights--in fact I'm the only user on the
machine period.  Here's what I've tried to correct the
problem, just so anybody willing to help can see what I
may have missed while doing so:
--Uninstalled POP:SOT and cleared out the windows\temp
folder as well as all registry references before
    reinstalling
--Installed on the builtin administrator's account
--Installed and rebooted before trying to start program
(even though it didn't say it had to be rebooted)
--Created a new admin account and then tested all of the
    above
I've made sure that all antivirus software was turned off
during the installations, and searched other forums as well as whatever relatable issue I could think of on the internet.  Even ubisoft support couldn't help.  I don't know of what else to try.
All the drivers have been updated and
windows updates have been downloaded & updated as well.  My
machine specs are below if anyone finds them useful.
Operating System: Windows XP Professional (5.1, Build 2600) Service Pack 1 (2600.xpsp2.030422-1633)

O.K.   I've installed the game on another computer with windows 2000 and it works.  I was relieved to know that it wasn't the game that was bad, but got pissed since it means that it's definitely something with my computer.  I've also made sure that all the registry settings which relate to prince of persia give my users full control within the permissions.  Anyway, here's a list of my IRQ devices:
