Audigy Value Delay Recording Prob

Hi, I just bought a new audigy value soundblaster. Here is my problem almost similar to the others here but my soundcard is just lower than them - audigy value:
For example, I will record one track, and then record a second track, playing along to exactally what I hear. When the second track mixes down, there is an offset between the two tracks on the order of two or three tenths of a second. This offset produces a noticible doubling effect, and requires me to go in and move the audio track around so that it plays properly.
I tried it with Cakewalk and Adobe audition. What is the best khz of sound to save a recording to On my ASIO setting, it is set to Audition Windows Driver, which it's speed is set to 2048, the lowest i can get is at 52. When I tried 52, it's doing good except that there are some sec pause every 0 seconds on the track.

You need set the ASIO latency through CT ASIO panel and not through Audition settings. ASIO Panel has only settings as milliseconds so if you select 10 or lower value your delay problems should be fixed.

  • SoundBlaster Audigy Value: Delay and echoing of sound output from head

    I'm having problems with the sound output of my voice when chatting using a headset.. I can hear echoes and there are delays occasionally. I first thought the problem was with the headset, and so I changed it. However, the problem persists!
    When I plugged my headset in my laptop instead of the desktop with the Audigy Value installed, I didn't encounter any problems at all with the sound. So I thought the problem is with the Audigy Value souncard.
    What could be causing these problems?

  • Windows Vista vs. Sound Blaster Audigy Value = Problem

    I am facing problems with SoundBlaster Audigy Value when using it with Windows Vista. However i have downloaded and installed latest drivers (Version No. - SB24_VTDRV_LB__04_0077) supporting this card but still it is functioning as good as it worked with windows XP .
    Prob # : I can hear sound from my TV Tuner device but cannot perform recording , an error ("Cannot render audio capture system") is generated whenever i try to do so. I also tried to set recording control of my Tv Tuner device to sound card's "line in" parameter as i used to do in XP but in Vista my device shows nothing. Why ?
    Prob # 2: Can you tell me where I can find "creative graphic equalizer" for this card which supports windows Vista or please provide a link to download it's
    Prob # 3: Why we cannot enable "Bass Boost" using new Creative Audio Console while using Creative Inspire 4400 (4. Channel Speakers) like i used to do in windows XP ?
    I will be extremely thankful to you if you please provide a solution to these problems.
    Thank You........

  • Audigy Value: "Device Control" tool: what does it

    Hello. Just bought an Audigy Value and I would like to try 24 bit sound. I found this tool that came with the drivers and tools named "Device Control". I can change from 6 bits to 24 bits and change from 48khz to 96khz there. But I don't know what is changing... recording, playback? I read the help file that came with the program but it does not help. Can you tell me where do I notice a change when I change the settings within the "Device Control" ? Thanks!

    This error is because the order of your numerator is higher than the order of the denominator of your transfer function. This is an impossible physical situation and leads to a delta function and its derivatives in the output response. Physically realizable systems must have the order of the denominator in the transfer function greater than the order of the numerator.

  • How to print all values in record datatype?

    Hello friends ,
    I wrote one function which returned the  departments record type.
    when  ever I called the function that returned departments record type and stored  in department record type variable..I have to print all the values in record...
    What  can I do???
    My code is like this...
    set serveroutput on
    declare
    type depcur is ref cursor return departments%rowtype;
    dep depcur;
    rec departments%rowtype;
    function ref_cur_demo(ref1  in depcur) return departments%rowtype
    is
    v_dep departments%rowtype;
    begin
    loop
    fetch ref1 into v_dep;
    exit when ref1%notfound;
    end loop;
    return v_dep;
    end;
    begin
    open dep for select *from departments;
    rec:=ref_cur_demo(dep);
    --Here I have to print all the record variables;
    end;

    Hi Gopi,
    You have to write the program in different way. In your case the function always returns only one value. You can see only one department detail as output.
    To display a record type variable you need to use record type variable name .(dot) field name.
    SQL> set serveroutput on
    SQL> declare
      2  type depcur is ref cursor return departments%rowtype;
      3  dep depcur;
      4  rec departments%rowtype;

  • SB Audigy Value CMSS Successfully Enabled in Vista, if you call it CMSS

    I've been trying to enable CMSS (at least hear sound from all of the 4 speakers) for a long time and finally successed but in a very strange way.
    Steps written below are spesific to my system (SB Audigy Value, Onboard Realtek ALC 850) but can? work similar way on others i guess. For SB Audigy Value 6 Feb. Vista drivers are installed. U can use old XP drivers as explained in the forum too.
    I've been using my onboard audio device (realtek ac97) since I can't enable cmss on SB Audigy Value, so Realtek AC97 audio drivers were installed on my system. You can download Realtek AC97 audio drivers? from [url=ftp://202.65.94.22/pc/audio/623_Vista_APO.zip">ftp://202.65.94.22/pc/audio/623_Vista_APO.zip[/url]
    Download and install it (first enable the device from bios if you haven't)
    After installing the drivers,
    -) Open "Playback Devices/Speakers(Realtek A'97 Audio)/Properties" window and open "Enhancements" tab.
    2-)There's a "Speaker Fill" effect there. U can take sound from all speakers if u enable it on Realtek AC97 device. And let's import this to our SB Audigy Value device. I say "Import" because i noticed that?"Enhancements" tab is actually a set of registry entries which points to some features from Realtek device. So,
    3-) Open registry editor. Go to
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\MMDevices\Audio\Render\
    Under the Render key the playback devices are listed as some numbers and letters like,
    {50a7cf0-aad0-444c-a56b-ce655444d}
    4-) U have to find your own device (realtek speakers) , for instance my device is represented by {50a7cf0-aad0-444c-a56b-ce655444d}.
    (This is for Realtek ALC 850 model, may be different for other models?I guess)
    5-) Under {50a7cf0-aad0-444c-a56b-ce655444d} key you can see "FxProperties" Key. Rightclick on it and export to a file. Save it as RealtekCMSS.reg for instance.
    6-) Then find your SB Audigy Value Speakers device. (ES/LS whatever...)
    Mine is {5ecbbccc-eca-446-aa2-a7390cf094f6}.
    7-) Rightclick on it and select "Permissions"
    Go to Advanced/Owner, and change the owner to administrators.
    (Don't forget to select "Replace owner on subcontainers and objects)
    8-) On "Permissions for {5ecbbccc-eca-446-aa2-a7390cf094f6}" window select "Administrators"
    and select "Full Control" to allow. Then click OK.
    9-)Close registry editor and open RealtekCMSS.reg in notepad.
    0-) Replace {50a7cf0-aad0-444c-a56b-ce655444d}
    ????to {5ecbbccc-eca-446-aa2-a7390cf094f6} using replace function.
    -)Save the file as SBAudigyCMSS.reg and execute it.
    2-)Now go to
    "Playback Devices/Speakers(SB Audigy)/Properties" and you'll see "Enhancements" tab.
    3-)In "Enhancements" tab enable "Speaker Fill"
    Open an mp3 and test your speakers. Other effects work too.
    From now on you can disable your AC97 device from bios. But don't uninstall Realtek software.
    Message Edited by atabrk on 04-26-200708:09 PM

    The previous post is inaccurate:? CMSS includes many modes, which will work depending on the speaker configuration. This means that CMSS set?to ON on 5. speakers is not the same as CMSS on Headphones. The selection is done automatically, depending on your selected speaker configuration. For example CMSS on headphones uses HRTFs to produce the effect, while on multi-speaker systems it simply maps and pans the sound. From my experience, CMSS works?good on headphones, not only for games, but for music as well. It expands the soundfield, where on simple stereo and headphones you normally hear the sound inside your head. My opinion is, that CMSS sounds much better on headphones than on speaker systems.

    Thanks for the reply jmacguire.
    I'm using default values: 6 bit, 48000 hz (DVD Quality)
    Which one do you recommend with the SB Audigy SE?
    The sound distorts when listening music in youtube or other flash webpages, both in normal and in HQ settings.
    I have tried almost everything. I think the drivers downoladed for Windows 7 works better.
    Then the Autoupdate function downloaded some new drivers (version .0090 I think) and it screwed up the sound on the web.

    Maybe you have installed all this stuff in wrong installations order. I have installed Win7 32 bit on friends Satellite A500 following this installations order:
    -Win7
    -chipset driver
    -storage manager
    -display driver
    -sound driver
    -modem driver
    -supervisor utility
    -infrared
    -patches
    -configfree
    -VAP
    -toshiba hardware setup
    -HDMI control
    -WLAN driver
    Added Vista stuff:
    -Toshiba assist - work properly
    -Card reader - installed properly
    -Webcam driver for A500 - tested with Skype - works properly.
    -Synaptics driver
    Everything works perfectly including hardware setup. I don't know maybe you should install Win7 again following this installations order.
    By the way: hardware setup was shown in control panel in WXP but since Vista not anymore. So I asked you this question because I know for sure it is not in control panel anymore.
    Since Vista Toshiba packed all tools and utilities overview in Toshiba Assist.

    Will convert the String to an integer.The original poster was looking for a way to convert a single digit in a string to its numeric value, not to convert the whole string to an integer.
    I forgot to mention that this is contained in the
    java.text package, so you will need to
    import java.text.*;Integer is in the java.lang package, so no import is necessary.

  • Audigy Value, 24-bit + 96kHz suppo

    Hi, currently I am using Creative Audigy Value and Windows Vista Business. http://www.creative.com/products/pro...05&product=489As it said, it should support 24-bit / 96kHz. It work really well in Windows XP. However, no 96kHz option can be found in Windows Vista.
    The driver that I used is downloaded from Windows Update.(Ver. 5.2..200, release on 2/4/2007)
    Or ...should I update it via Creative web? Thanks~!
    Ben

    I reccomend using the ones from Creative's website, on my Audigy SE it allowed 96kHz capability.
