Audigy Value: "Device Control" tool: what does it
Hello. Just bought an Audigy Value and I would like to try 24 bit sound. I found this tool that came with the drivers and tools named "Device Control". I can change from 6 bits to 24 bits and change from 48khz to 96khz there. But I don't know what is changing... recording, playback? I read the help file that came with the program but it does not help. Can you tell me where do I notice a change when I change the settings within the "Device Control" ? Thanks!
This error is because the order of your numerator is higher than the order of the denominator of your transfer function. This is an impossible physical situation and leads to a delta function and its derivatives in the output response. Physically realizable systems must have the order of the denominator in the transfer function greater than the order of the numerator.

My output loop tunnel value is "#1". What does this number signify.
I am a new Labview person. I have a While Loop containing a Fract/Exp String to Number fuction. The output goes directly to a loop tunnel whose value is 8 using a probe but when running in highlight mode the value displayed on the tunnel is "#1". What is the significance of this value.
It means you are not dealing with a scalar value, but with an array. The #1 means that the array size is one element. For arrays, it does not show the values, but the number of elements. A wise choice, because arrays can be huge. ;-)

Any idea what it means?Upstream = the developers (usually not members of Arch) of the original package.
By "the maintainers" people usually mean the members of Arch who watch the upstream development and package up new releases when they become available.
If a bug looks like it's a problem with the files were compiled or packaged, report it to the Arch maintainers. In a case like this, where it's known to be a bug with the upstream development, you should send the bug report to those developers. (Email them or better, google their bugtracker and post a bug report there.) You can notify the Arch maintainer of the bug report if you like, or if you're not sure whether it's a packaging bug. -

SB Audigy Value CMSS Successfully Enabled in Vista, if you call it CMSS
I've been trying to enable CMSS (at least hear sound from all of the 4 speakers) for a long time and finally successed but in a very strange way.
Steps written below are spesific to my system (SB Audigy Value, Onboard Realtek ALC 850) but can? work similar way on others i guess. For SB Audigy Value 6 Feb. Vista drivers are installed. U can use old XP drivers as explained in the forum too.
I've been using my onboard audio device (realtek ac97) since I can't enable cmss on SB Audigy Value, so Realtek AC97 audio drivers were installed on my system. You can download Realtek AC97 audio drivers? from [url=ftp://202.65.94.22/pc/audio/623_Vista_APO.zip">ftp://202.65.94.22/pc/audio/623_Vista_APO.zip[/url]
Download and install it (first enable the device from bios if you haven't)
After installing the drivers,
-) Open "Playback Devices/Speakers(Realtek A'97 Audio)/Properties" window and open "Enhancements" tab.
2-)There's a "Speaker Fill" effect there. U can take sound from all speakers if u enable it on Realtek AC97 device. And let's import this to our SB Audigy Value device. I say "Import" because i noticed that?"Enhancements" tab is actually a set of registry entries which points to some features from Realtek device. So,
3-) Open registry editor. Go to
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\MMDevices\Audio\Render\
Under the Render key the playback devices are listed as some numbers and letters like,
{50a7cf0-aad0-444c-a56b-ce655444d}
4-) U have to find your own device (realtek speakers) , for instance my device is represented by {50a7cf0-aad0-444c-a56b-ce655444d}.
(This is for Realtek ALC 850 model, may be different for other models?I guess)
5-) Under {50a7cf0-aad0-444c-a56b-ce655444d} key you can see "FxProperties" Key. Rightclick on it and export to a file. Save it as RealtekCMSS.reg for instance.
6-) Then find your SB Audigy Value Speakers device. (ES/LS whatever...)
Mine is {5ecbbccc-eca-446-aa2-a7390cf094f6}.
7-) Rightclick on it and select "Permissions"
Go to Advanced/Owner, and change the owner to administrators.
(Don't forget to select "Replace owner on subcontainers and objects)
8-) On "Permissions for {5ecbbccc-eca-446-aa2-a7390cf094f6}" window select "Administrators"
and select "Full Control" to allow. Then click OK.
9-)Close registry editor and open RealtekCMSS.reg in notepad.
0-) Replace {50a7cf0-aad0-444c-a56b-ce655444d}
????to {5ecbbccc-eca-446-aa2-a7390cf094f6} using replace function.
-)Save the file as SBAudigyCMSS.reg and execute it.
2-)Now go to
"Playback Devices/Speakers(SB Audigy)/Properties" and you'll see "Enhancements" tab.
3-)In "Enhancements" tab enable "Speaker Fill"
Open an mp3 and test your speakers. Other effects work too.
From now on you can disable your AC97 device from bios. But don't uninstall Realtek software.

This means that CMSS set?to ON on 5. speakers is not the same as CMSS on Headphones. The selection is done automatically, depending on your selected speaker configuration. For example CMSS on headphones uses HRTFs to produce the effect, while on multi-speaker systems it simply maps and pans the sound. From my experience, CMSS works?good on headphones, not only for games, but for music as well. It expands the soundfield, where on simple stereo and headphones you normally hear the sound inside your head. My opinion is, that CMSS sounds much better on headphones than on speaker systems.

What does the included DTS do?

I have a new eXcite Write, updated to Android 4.3.
The enabled "Audio Enhancement" in the configuration has a list of DTS options, I have all of them enabled, and not enabled any of the Toshiba options (Audio Enhancement Pro, etc.)
The device can't play DTS media. Is this expected?
The device can't play the Dolby Digital demo, which uses DD+ (a.k.a. EAC3).
I haven't seen a mention (in the manual, brochure, or any where) to the required license for "Dolby enabled devices". So, what does DTS do on this tablet?

Query - Sampling speed in Device Control - Audigy Value
After installing the Hardware / Drivers etc for SB Audigy Value PCI card, Windows Control Panel shows one option named Device Control . Clicking on it opens a window wherein you can set the sampling speed for PCI/USB and SPDIF.
In case of PCI, I notice that the only two options 48 & 96 KHz are available. I would have expeted even 44. but it'ss not there..is this normal behavior of this control i.e. not to have 44. sampling option for PCI.

What does the message "another program ha control of HP imaging mean when I am trying to scan something. How do i correct it?
You may need to ask HP. I had the same issue with a networked (via ethernet) home HP multi-function. Sometimes the only way to get it to scan was to completely disconnect it from the network and connect it to only one Mac with a USB cable. Even that did not alwatys work.
Eventually, Apple started pushing out HP printer updates via Software Update. One of those finally made that error message to go away.
So run Software Update and see it there are new drivers that Apple made avaialble. -

Windows could not start the Apple Mobil Device Service on local computer.
Error 1053 The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion.
I have already uninstalled itunes, all the related programs and I cannot reinstall, this Apple Mobil Device message stops the install.
Can anyone please help? -
