Audigy2 unknown dev

Question

hello.
recently got me an audigy2 to replace a broken audigy but have a problem with it.
my computer is on 24/7 and for some reason the card becomes an "unknown device" after the computer has been on for some time.
a reboot fixes it temporarily.
sound playes fine games works great sorrundmixer no problem.
the problem comes when i try to start graphic equlizer and i get a window claiming i dont have the card installed but the proram worked just fine earlier.

leadtek tv2000 xpert
nvidia 7800gt
antec truepower 380w S
geil pc4000 2x52mb
amd64 3200+
ibm deathstar 30gb + hitachi 60gb
made a fresh install of windows xp sp2 before i added the audigy2 card.

Rockerz, nope not using xp64 using xp32 sp2 and have no unknown devices or exclamation marks.
petersian, not a stupid suggestion if you ask me.
meet many people having trouble with creative cards on nforce2 boards, only pci slot 3 works good there.
and yes tried all 3 pci slots and no difference whatsoever between them.
only had the problem once during during the last week.
starting to suspect it might be gta san andreas acting up as the sound isnt released as it should when i turn off the game.
movies and music sounds ok but the sound from the tv-card which comes in as aux sounds...weird and only a reboot hel
