One of us has been hacked, and my Avast! (paid) and Malwarebytes (paid) aren’t noticing; but Firefox keeps remarking that my computer is VERY slow, which indeed it is. When I try the REFRESH button—on your site, I should add—I get only a series of audio tech news. The tapes mentioned Senzchen, from whence my Lenovo hails, but I thought you should know about this development. If you have time to stop me before I wipe my computer and start over, please do so!

How can I stop Firefox 34 from crashing when I click a button on the NOrton 360 toolbar??
I have the latest Norton 360 and fully updated. Also have FF 34.05. After anywhere between an hour and 3 hours, clicking any of the Norton Toolbars buttons that open options and provide multiple log in options FF crashes and when I reopen it it brings up my old tabs and at the end it brings up the FF welcome screen. In the options, it changes my opening page to the Norton Welcome page and the option to open previous tabs which was there with open default site which now it the welcome screen. Need help as have tried several fixes from the net and none so far work. Have allowed FF to reinstall the pref file, have removed hardware acceleration as well as put flash into a non protected mode and none help.
Don't know if it is a FF or Norton issue but, it is a real issue. Please help.Thanks for your quick turn around. I'd be surprised if corrupt files as I only got the machine last Thursday but, it was a refurb so perhaps issues from the previous owner.
Do have some questions as follows:
It is a Windows 8.1 64 machine so will the fix recommended work??
looking at the page, appears option 2 is my best bet but, won't start until I get the go for Win 8.2. Assuming this is a good fix and since I would be doing it with the system and not a program, no malware??
As far as drivers, do have a app from HP that updates drivers and I updated everything after I got it going so should have the latest drivers and I did try alone unclicking the machine acceleration and no change there but, with the scan, might help. I have run all of the Windows updates which were quite a few with a new computer and do have Windows set to perform automatic updates so don't think I need to worry about graphic drivers??
Your thoughts on my questions before running the scan at the elevated admin level. By the way, I am the admin so do I simply run as admin or is there a higher thing I need to do to run at High Administrator???
Also, if after I run the scan and repair, if OK on Win 8.1 should I send your results to Norton for them to look at since almost all of the problems are with Norton and perhaps they have a fix with those issues and having running the driver fix should help them?? Also will the scan and repair indicate what was fixed and what wasn't.
Sorry so many questions but, don't want to mess up my new machine.

I believe DdeGannes suggested permission on the Destination folder (not the source folder). Performing a copy requires only Read&Write permission on the destination folder, not the source folder. You need to go into your operating system and change the permissions to Read&Write on the destination folder. (If you don't know how to do that, go to your favorite search engine and type in Change Permissions Mac) -
Trying to redeem a free download for a song from KLove. When I get into my acct & try to redeem it, it just keeps bringing up the "sign-in" box. When I click the button on KLove's webpage to redeem it takes me to that page but does the same thing

my trash bin has one item that refuses to be deleted. Under name, it says, 0. date; dec. 31, 1903. size; 0 kb. I have no idea where it came from. When I click, info. the info. window starts to appear, then goes away. Weird or what? Hope someone can help?

Vista x64, Dell Laptop Lately I have been getting audio ads from Lysol etc which I can stop by deleting the process plug-in container Iknow how to delete this process but why does the audio ad run despite the application of two well known antivirus progs?

I inserted a HTML5 video in page, when I test it in a Browser, I see the poster image and controls, But when I click play button the video goes white, slider moves like its playing, but just white picture. There was no audio included in video. Please help
Without a link, it's anybody's guess.
It could be a problem the video rendering itself. Which software did you use?
Did you export to the 3 file types -- MP4, OGG and WEBM to support all browsers?
Does your web server support those 3 MIME file types?

Report priview not responding when I click refresh second time.

Hi All
I've replaced a file created in crystal report 9 which was using XML as data source with a crystal report 10 file without using XML.
Report is previed through a .net application. When I run the report first time it comes up properly. But if I click refresh button in the same window, report hangs and processes show 2 processes for this report.
Does crystal report previewer open a separate process for each preview?
Can any one please direct my investigation?

Problem narrowed down.
Now when I launch the report for first time and click refresh without scrolling preview or clicking preview, it hangs up.
If I click on the preview or scroll before clicking refresh, report comes up properly every time I click refresh.
Please share your experiences to help me out.

Hmm.. probably not.
You want to open Mail. Then go into Preferences > General and you will see something similar to this:
In the area marked Default Mail reader click on the pull down and at the bottom of the list it will say Other. You can see if you can select Safari here and if that will open up Safari.

How to prevent popup dialog from closing when commandbutton clicked
Hi,
I have a af:commandButton inside a popup dialog and the button action calls a method in backing bean. When this button is clicked I would like to run the method in backing bean and return control to the popup window. The method seem to run fine but the popup dialog closes automatically. Is there a way to prevent popup dialog from closing for this action?

When user clicks upload button I want to display a message that the file was successfully uploaded and keep the popup window open. But what happens now is once the file upload completes, the popup window closes automatically. This file upload part is not a must, user could skip doing the upload and instead input some text in a text area below (not shown in the code above). User could also just click cancel and exit the popup any time, so there is no mandatory field that I could check before closing the popup. Is there something I could do for this?

Invalidate session when user clicks back button
I want to invalidate the session when user clicks back button, so that user cannot refresh and reload a page.

}The problem with even attempting to do this is that with today's browser capabilities, users can optionally choose to jump to a particular page in the browser history and this may not necessarily be the most recent page. In this case, you would also want to invalidate the user's session after already having been there (whatever page that may be). Then you have situations when the user may wish to jump back in history to external pages they were visiting before they reached your own site's pages. Then what happens when they start clicking forward, forward, etc... from there? This is why I prefer writing Swing Clients as alternatives to browser applications. There are soo many possible ways break web applications made for standard web browsers both maliciously and simply by accident or irregular user patterns. Regardless, this servlet would work based on the assumption that all the user(s) would "ever" do aside from moving logically forward is clicking on the browser's "back" button.

Many sites which offer specific "print formatted" pages do that: they assume that once you have finished with the print dialog you no longer want the page itself. So for your convenience they close it. Not so convenient for you, since you still want to view the page.
I'm not aware of an easy solution for this. I can think of a couple different approaches.
First, maybe there's an add-on to solve this? That would be easiest.
Second, maybe there's a userscript to solve this?
The Greasemonkey add-on runs userscripts which you can copy or download. Be careful to install only long-establish and trusted scripts. (''Is there a site that has this bad behavior that I can view without logging in? I will test one of my existing scripts to see whether it helps.'')
Third, Firefox has an old system for restricting site permissions in a custom text file in your profile folder (named user.js). Editing this file is a bit advanced, and I haven't been able to test it, but the system works along these lines:
