Audio and Photos are playing out of sync once burnt onto DVD.

Hiya, I've created a slideshow, with music in the background, and when playing it through in the preview mode it all works fine, and the songs start and end where I want them to and all the photos and video clips work. Once it's bunt onto a DVD and played, the audio seems to be running ahead of the photo slideshow and it ends up out of sync. I've tried playing the DVD on the computer and the DVD player. but it makes no difference. Please help!

Are you using transitions in the slideshow? Sometime they play with different timing in the preview mode than they do on a DVD. Try removing the transitions and see what happens.

I am using a Dell inspiron 14z, with Windows 8, and before that a Dell with Windows XP. This is also happening on my iPad. For the last four months, none of the movies or television shows I have rented or purchased from iTunes have played properly. The audio and video are out of sync. I have tried the troubleshooting measures iTunes suggested, however nothing seems to work. I have read on the community that this has been a problem for users in the past, and have attempted to try some of the fixes individual users have suggested also. Again, nothing seems to work. At this point I am frustrated, as we purchase or rent almost exclusively from iTunes. I would appreciate a support-staff person response. Thank you so much.

this problem has been going on for windows users for over a year now.
Apple has no solution to this problem.

  • Audio and Video become increasingly out of sync when watching a movie.

When I watch a movie from my itunes folder (purchased) the audio and video become increasingly out of sync. It is like watching an old Godzilla movie. I am using itunes on a Dell XPS M1530 running windows 7. Does anyone have a solution to this? I am not sure if I have a hardware problem or a software problem.
    Thanks,

  • Audio and video are not running in sync

I'm having a problem with the video and sound not running together. When it first happened as any movie or tv show ect. would play the audio and Video would get further and further off as it would play. I reset my iPad and I thought the problem was fixed. But now they just are off by half a second to a second. It doesn't keep getting further apart like before but just stays consistently off. Why is this and what can I do. I'm a apple nubie and just got my iPad a week ago. I don't want mess anything up any further by tinkering.

There's nothing you can do on your iPad to fix this. If it's an iTunes movie or TV show, just email them to see if you can re-download the movie, since you might have a bad download.

  • Audio and Video Slowly Drift out of Sync

Ok so I'm hoping someone can help us out here.
So we have a video that was recorded 20 years ago on VHS tape. We captured that footage using a converter into FCP 7 using the DV-NTSC Capture preset with 48khz for audio.
The sound on that tape is awful and thankfully, we had a cassette tape that recorded all the audio. We used another converter to record that into pro-tools and bounced it out of pro tools using 48khz preset. Its currently a AIFF file.
Once we brought the two together in FInal Cut Pro, it starts off in sync but slowly drifts out about half way though. Any idea?

Find two sync points - one near the beginning and one near the end - maybe a syllable of speech, where you can see the mouth movements?
Put separate markers on your video and audio at all four points. Adjust the speed of the audio until the markers align.
You can calculate the new speed you need if you measure the lengths on the timeline accurately, and get the markers to match within a frame - plenty good enough over the whole timeline.

ha. having the video is killer. there are a couple ways to do this. i'd recommend using the blade tool (tap b twice to get the one that cuts all tracks), make a cut through the audio and the video at the points where you want it sped up, then right click the clip itself (which should be linked with audio and video) and then just set it to whatever speed you want. it'll have the same effect. you might have to adjust boundaries or you can select ripple.
alternatively, it looks like you just needed to do the same thing to the audio that you did to the video in that clip you uploaded. you can always relink things by selecting the audio and video and hitting cmnd+L.
    hope that helps.

  • Synced audio in a file is out of sync in premiere/prelude

I have a file from a documentary film I'm working on that happened to be shot on the iPod Touch. When playing back the original files, the audio is perfectly synced. In Premiere and Prelude, the audio is fast (or the video is slow, I can't tell.) so it gradually goes out of sync, and unfortunately most of the files are minutes long, one, an hour long. I naturally assumed it was the transcoding, but even when importing the straight file, with nothing done to it, not even a rename, and it's still out of sync. It makes no sense, and this is my university thesis, so some help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Is there a lower-tech solution for this? There's gotta be. I should be able to tell Action! to record using BKM and then for Premiere to edit and render it properly. Why all the hoops?
I don't use Action as it's superfluous in my opinion.  I don't know how to tell it to do software-based encoding into a fixed frame rate.  It might not even be possible.  If it were, then you'd know it: your in-game FPS will drop quite a bit because your CPU load increases.  But again, I don't use Action, so I'm not sure.  That'll have to be an exercise left to the reader.
The other solution is to install Handbrake and figure out how to convert the MP4 that way.
Those are your choices.  Pr and Elements can't properly handle VFR files.  In almost every case, the audio and video will be out of sync.

  • Photo Booth Audio and Video are out of sync?

Hi. So there is this glitch that when I take videos on Photo Booth the audio and video are out of sync. This started after I upgraded to Mountain Lion, and since I use Photo Booth a lot, I really do care. Is there anyway that I can fix this until Apple fixes this bug? Thanks.
Extra Info: The first video I took was not out of sync, but after that they got more and more out of sync.

I've read all the forums. It's a big problem for most Photobooth users, Apple acknowledges it, but does not yet have a fix.
The best solution I have come up with is to dump Photobooth (I know - it was a great program, wasn't it? But so was Hypercard) and use Quicktime to make videos. You'll have to spend a little more work savings or exporting, but at least Quicktime is free.
Just open Quicktime Player and under the File menu you'll see "Record New Movie."
    The downward slide continues...

  • Do you have fix for Photo Booth Audio and Video are not syncing properly, Do you have fix for Photo Booth Audio and Video are not syncing properly

My audio and video are not syncing properly. There is a lag from the audio to the video.  Does anyone have a permanent fix for Photo Booth where the Audio and Video are not syncing properly?

If you monitor the "More Like This" box (top right), other threads appear. Opening them usually displays other threads. You aren't the only one having this problem.
One person having a Photo Booth problem, although not the same one as you are having solved it by running Disk Utility/Repair Permissions.

  • Audio and Video are Out of Sync

    Hello,
This seems to be a reoccurring problem for me and I'd love some help getting it resolved once and for all. After capturing footage, the audio and video are out of sync in the clip AND when I drag it to the timeline. When I go through each part, it looks like the video hesitates often, which seems to be causing the misalignment of audio. But, once it is moved into alignment, it goes out of sync again throughout the remainder of the one hour video.
I'm capturing through a Canon Optura 50 Mini DV and editing with FCP 6.0.1. I have checked that the audio mode is set to 16 bit on the camera, and the capture settings have the audio rate for 48 KHz.
This same problem occurred when I was capturing another event last week.
PLEASE advise. It won't get aligned even if I take the hours and hours to move the audio left and right frame by frame.

I am still wondering why you're recommending that I use an external drive for this project.
Because the internal has more than enough to do running Mac OS X and the applications. It is constantly writing files. While DV video is at the lower end of the scale, it is still asking a lot of the drive's read and write head.
I always used external drives, but we had many problems with delays and processing problems.
At the very least, you should be using FireWire external drives. USB is no good for video as it delivers data in packets, not the sustained stream that video needs. The drives must also be formatted as Mac OS Extended. Windows FAT 16 of FAT 32 formatted drives have file size limits of 2 and 4 GB respectively. Anything larger is segemented and can cause problems on a Mac.

  • Audio and Video are not synced up ONLY when viewed in full screen....?

Audio and Video are not synced up only when I view my project in full screen. I can watch it in the project viewer the audio and video play as they should. I have a presentation tomorrow and I can't figure this out. What am I doing wrong?

Have you updated to version 9.0.2 - this Software Update was released a couple of days ago and fixes audio sync problems as well as improving stability in iMovie '11.

    Hello Solid Buck,
Thank you so much for providing the details about the duplicate song issue you are experiencing.  It sounds like you would like to remove the duplicate songs that will not play on your iPhone, but when you connect it to iTunes, iTunes only shows you one copy of the song on your iPhone.
In this situation, I recommend deleting the individual songs that do not play directly from your iPhone.  I found the steps to do this on page 61 of the iPhone User Guide (http://manuals.info.apple.com/en_US/iphone_user_guide.pdf):
Delete a song from iPhone: In Songs, swipe the song, then tap Delete.
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    Best,
    Sheila M.

  • K900 audio and video are not in sync.

    Hi All,
New entry in this forum. I have this K900 phone and i think its an amazing piece or art. But not without its problems though. A perennial issue is when I am playing a video file, initially it plays smoothly but eventually the audio and video are not in sync. Dragging the slider left and right or pausing and playing agian only worstens the issue.
Have any body ever faced such issues? If yes kinldy share a solution if any.

  • AIFF's imported are always out of sync and need to be rendered!!!!!

I have had this problem for years, has anyone figured out hoe to get sound files that are in sync in pro Tools and in Sound Track Pro to be in sync in FCP??
This is the strangest thing that you can not import files into a PAL session without a red line needing to be rendered and without the audio drifting!!
    Any ideas? Thanks, mark

Your audio files must be 48,000 kHz AIFF files if you want to use them in Final Cut Pro.
If the originals are coming from CD's they are 44,100 kHz.
Resample in Soundtrack Pro or convert in QuickTime Player.
Your location says you are in LA. Why are you working in in PAL?
I know that things need to be at 48K this would not matter anyway if it was 44.1 FCP would do the conversion and not make it out of sync in an NTSC Timeline, but a PAL timeline FCP screws with the sound file. The files came from pro Tools, the industry standard should mixing.
I put them through Sound Track Pro and it did not help.
