Audio books from my 4s to my 5 are not transfering

I have moved all my music from my 4s to my new 5, however my audio books are not moving. I tried to re-purchase one and I got the message that I had already purchased this audio book. So apparently they are somewhere but cannot find them to get them in my 5.
Suggestions???

Specifically for you under "Apps, Books, Music, Movies or TV Shows on iOS" > Books on iOS:
Books on iOS
Open iBooks 3.0 or later on your device.
Tap the Books button at the top of your bookshelf.
Tap Purchased Books under Collections. Tip: If you don't see Purchased Books, make sure that you are signed in with your Apple ID. Alternatively, you may continue to access the Purchased page from the iBookstore to download previously purchased books.
Locate the book, and tap the book cover for the desired book.
The book will begin downloading and you'll be taken back to your bookshelf.
Note: If you enable the Sync Collections preference in your iBooks settings, purchased books that you've synced or downloaded to your other iOS devices will be displayed on your main bookshelf.

There is a OneClickdigital ereader available in the App Store. Download that to your iPod to read pdfs and books from the library. And you might need to download the OneClickdigital eaudio player to listen to audiobooks from the library. Once both are downloaded sync you iPod again to transfer them.

Yes it is done through iTunes. The iPhone will never show up in Finder as a device. If your iTunes is set on manual sync, then you have to manually drag and drop. Otherwise every time yousyncyou'll get all changes even if you don't want it.

You can. Why do you think you cannot?
If you purchased it on your ipad, then you would have to transfer it to your computer. File>Devices>Transfer Purchases.
You can then listen to it on your computer.

I finally figured it out! On the book page of itunes I went to preferences and then import settings and changed the settings from aac to mp3 and when I went back to the page there was my itouch and clicked on it and then books and there were all my books and files! deleted 3 chapters that were greyed out and transfered them again and it worked. You cannot redownload audiobooks at all.
They will only be where you put them.

Hi, I got an audio book from my library and want to put it onto my iPod but I'm not sure how to.
I downloaded the book onto my computer
It's an odm file if that helps
And the website said it was compadable with iPods
But when I hook my iPod up to the computer and view its "files and folders" then drop the file in nothing happens. It's the same if I try to drop it any where else.

When i delete an audio book from my computer it does not delete the book from my Iphone. it seems to be deleting the name from the computer but not the content. this has just started happening since the last itune progam updated. the result is i have

I record audio books from my library onto my old iPhone. I download the book from Overdrive to my computer. I connect the Iphone to the computer and transfer the audio-book to the iPhone. When I am done listening to the book i delete it from the iPhone by connecting it to the computer and doing a manual sync. this worked fine until the last i-tunes update on my computer. Now when the iPhone is connected and i tell the computer to delete a book it is only deleting the name of the book on the computer it is not deleting the book from the phone. The next time I connect the phone to the computer the program does not show the book in the phone but it is still in the phone. I have no more room on my phone to get any new books on it.
Does anyone know how to fix this? Please

You are correct. Syncing should transfer any purchased media, including videos, from your device to your iTunes library provided your computer is authorized for the Apple ID used to make these purchases. You mentioned that you have uninstalled iTunes before, but if you didn't follow this guide exactly, uninstalling iTunes and all of its components in the order specified, it may not have been successful so you should try again: Windows XP or Windows Vista/7.

I just asked how to transfer audio books from my MacBook to iPhone5s and had a reply that it should work like it did with my iPod touch. Well it doesn't. I tried moving audio books into my iTine Library (which I never did with iPod). I started to synch individual books but stopped as it is confusing to me what gets saved and what gets erased. I've tried dragging several ways. Help!

Well, maybe it should but it won't work. I drag the file over to the iPhone and nothing happens. I thought maybe because the audio books weren't in iTunes, so I moved them to the library on my macbook and still nothing happens.

The music sync is one way only - computer to ipod. The exception is itunes purchases. Without syncing: File>Transfer Purchases
Copy everything from your old computer, or your backup copy of your old computer, to your new one.

Select whatever you would like to sync, then sync it.
FYI: Leave the SIM card in your iphone that was in it when it was active. Without it you will not be able to restore or upgrade.
