Audio breaks with the "play audio" action

I have a slide with 3 buttons that trigger 3 seperate .mp3-files from the Library
I just use the action play audio (name of file)..
This happens in the preview as in in the published content as well.

Could you please explain what you mean by Breaks and post a picture of your timeline?

Here's some more info.
I tried installing the latest iTunes to my housemate's PC, logging into iTMS with my account, authorizing his machine to play my content, restoring my iPod to the factory settings, downloading the videos and copying them to my iPod.
It worked fine, and I can play my videos.
I have done the exact SAME thing on my own home PC twice, after completely uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and the Apple Software Updater. But I still can't get any videos downloaded on my home PC to play on my iPods.
Any thoughts?

What allows your clips to be alligned with the play head in FCP

Whats that shortcut key if you hold shift or something it will allign your clips together? I am having to make copies of the audio and then allign them with the original and it is slightly off and it is a pain going in and making sure their perfectly alligned! HELP!

Select the audio,
Then press option (in order to COPY) and Click drag on the clip.
And then WHILE DRAGGING release Option and PRESS SHIFT (which makes sure you will not shift in time)
Drag to desired track (you'll see a yellow notification stating: 00:00:00, to show you how much you shifted compared to the original, so '0' in this case).
Release mouse, release Shift.

How do I match the printed pdf page breaks with the page breaks from the online form?

The online form is setup to be 4-5 separate pages...each page going to a different person/group when it is printed in a pdf. However, when the form is printed, it prints out all the blanks and the forms are off by about a half page.
Is there any way to not print the blank spaces (I have several boxes hidden based on choices of the user), and to make the printed pdf honor the online page breaks?

When you are viewing the "Design" while authoring your form there is a "View" setting that you can access from the "View" menu along the top right, or from the dropdown at the bottom right corner, if you change from "Web View" to "Page View" you can add page breaks there that will affect the PDF.
Page View is an authoring view to design for PDF where Web View is an authoring View to design for web/browser/HTML forms. You can use both so that your form looks good in both web and PDF. Some features have to be added/edited in Web View because they are not supported in PDF such as Attatchments and Skip/Page logic, those are not available to add/edit in Page View. The Page Breaks added in Web View are not used in the PDF, in Page View "Implicit page breaks" are added automatically based on the size of the page in PDF and you can add "Explicit page breaks" using the form field toolbar as you did in Web View (which will only be used in the PDF).
When you ask if there is any way not to print the "blank spaces" you are referring to the questions that had remained hidden based on skip logic right? At this time the entire form is saved/printed to PDF, there is not an option to omit those hidden fields.

Problem with the shut down action

Since a few monthes, I have a problem when I want to shut down my 27" iMac.
Instead of shutting down, he reboots.
And if I shut it down again, it finally shuts down.
I have the same problem with the suspension of activity. I have to do it twice because it reactivates after the first times.

How to name a layer with the file name - action or script???

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to automatically name a photoshop layer to be the name of the file itself?
I have 600 files to do and need to automate the process.

Copy and paste the code into a new window and then save the code to:-

If photoshop was open, close and re-start it so that Photoshop can pick up the new script.
Now you can create an action to run the script and do your save so that this action can be batched.
To add the script to your action:
File - Scripts - select the script (this will add the new layer)

What to expect with the "log pair" actions

I've never quite understood what I should expect to find in the pcap file for the "log pair packets" action. Take the following example:

What I would expect/hope to see is at least all 25 "atomic" packets which triggered the alarm. This doesn't seem to be the case however.
A string search through the pcap file (ethereal) for '401' finds only 5 hits...and all but one are separated by 5 or more seconds.
The very first packet in the pcap file matches the signature (i.e. it is a 401). Is the first packet in the pcap file the last packet that triggered the alarm?

In short, yes. Keep in mind logging is only started after the alert has fired, which in your case above would be AFTER we see the 25th packet in a 2sec period. Actually we will capture that 25th one as that is the TriggerPacket as you mentioned, plus whatever else occurs after that TriggerPacket, but we don't capture/log all 25 packets, simply because for the 1st to 24th packet the alert has not fired.

Problems with Automator in Lion's text to audio action

So, I'm trying to become more productive by turning stuff I don't have time to read into something I can listen to in the car. I created the following Automator script, but every time I run it, it crashes.
Here's the first part of the problem reporter. Interestingly, if I use a different action to get the text (e.g. take it from the frontmost TextEdit window), no problems whatsoever. The text is converted to text and added to the playlist. Does anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it ?

I didn't test the Encode to MPEG step, but a simple workflow with the first two actions seems to work fine here.
Something else is amiss.

EBMS/AS2 Multiple Business Actions with the same document

We have an issue where we have a single document type (OrderResponse) that will have a different Business Action depending on which partner it is coming from.
In testing this, we've found that the Business Action we setup in B2B MUST_ have the same name as the Business Action shown in the SOAP envelope of the received message (the user guide DOES NOT mention this AFAIK)
To make matters worse - the same document is also used by another trading partner with AS2 which has NO SOAP envelope.
So basically we have these combinations:
TP# > XMLDocType > eb:CPAId > eb:Service > eb:Action
TP1 > OrderResponse > OrderCreate > uri:OrderCreate > SendResponseEnd
TP2 > OrderResponse > OrderCreate > uri:OrderCreate > SendFileResponse
TP3 > OrderResponse > (n/a) > (n/a) > (n/a)
Now, in setting up TP1 & TP2, we define 2 Business Actions for SendResponseEnd and SendFileResponse with the DocDefs using Action (no XPath).
When TP3 comes along, we try setting up another Business Action with XPath. But that causes the first two to fail because it checks XPath first.
If we could only get around the Business Action name requirement this would not be an issue as we could just define a single DocDef and Business Action for OrderResponse using XPath.
Can anyone see a way to make this combination work? Does this same problem exist in 11g?
We are currently on Release 10.1.2, Build B2B_10.1.2.4.0_GENERIC_091027.

How do I control flash object with captivate play head?

Hi All,
I am a learner to the captivate.
I am having problem with animation-audio synching with captivate paly head. When I inserted an animation to the slid, It does not synch with the play head. So I lose the control of pause, next. I tried out synch to project option but it didn’t work out.
Can anybody help me in this. Should I write any script in animation or any widget is there…
I am using flash6 and captivate 5.5.

Nothing to do with button becoming inactive, really, but with the way the Effects are scripted. Will try to answer your question about the buttons however.
I'll try to explain the functionality of a button. A button typically has a pausing point that is visible on the timeline, right? The portion before the pausing point is the 'active' portion, which will mean that the user can click on the button and this will have results. When you click on a button, the action attached as Success action is triggered, in this example the Text Caption is set to visible. But at the same time the playhead is released and moves beyond the pausing point into the Inactive portion, which means that it cannot be clicked again.
Two possible solutions:
use a rollover caption instead of your click/text captions work flow.
Create a small advanced action BtShow1 and BtShow2 for each of the buttons, again I have screenshots ready but they are not accepted, bummer.... Will try to write the statements:
Show Text_1      for the first button, shows the correct Caption
Hide Text_2       hides the other caption that could have been shown by the other button
Assign rdcmndGotoFrame with rdinfoCurrentFrame            this expression puts back the playhead directly before the pausing point so that button remains active
You can duplicate this action to create Btn2, and you only have to reverse the ID's of the Text Captions
When you attach those actions to the buttons, you can click as many times as you want. You tell that you have searched the forums? Bit strange because I have been explaining this so many times, and blogged about this kind of micro-navigation (frame by frame):

Why won't my Premier Elements 13 video production run when I push the play arrow? It worked yesterday.

I am in the process of making a movie with Premier Elements 13; it has been functioning fine--until today. For some reason, it no longer plays when I press the play arrow button to preview recent additions to the script. I have rendered the files. I have exited the program and reopened it. I have turned the computer off and on. None of his helps. Any suggestions?

My Premier Elements program 13 is running on a 64 bit computer with Windows 8.1, with all drivers updated—I think.
When I press the space bar instead of the play button, still no movement at all.
When I created a new video with just a couple of pictures, still no luck getting the play button or spacebar to work.
So far, I have not found the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file, even with your instructions. When I get to "roaming" there is no file for Adobe in that folder.
Another clue: When I began to add narration, the microphone did not work, so I changed some settings relating to audio and recording. The problem with the play button began, I think, as a result my getting the mike to work. But since I am not exactly sure what I changed, I can’t go back and reset those settings.
BTW, when I close PE 13 and open PE 11, everything that I created in 11 works fine. That is, the play button advances the time line indicator, as it should. So, the problem seems to not be in my computer settings, but something unique to PE 13.

Playback a little before the location of the play head.

Well I edited something in Multi-cam.
Now I want to go over each cut (using UP/DOWN keys) and hit space to see if the cut is good.
the only trouble is that each time I press an up/down key to skip to next cut - I need to take the mouse and place the play-head a little bit before the cut to see if the transition between the two clips is good.
My question is:
Is there any possible key shortcut to play a little before the actual place Im standing with the play-head on the time line?

New quicktime player: can I move the play buttons off the video?

Can I organize the Quicktime player like the old version? With the play buttons / time line on the bottom, outside and away from the video?
E.g., I do not want the play buttons / time line to "float" over the video window. It's distracting for times when I need to pause and scroll over video to find certain spots. It is really in the way.
