Audio clip warning & now no sound

I had audio until I removed a transition. The audio clips show a warning symbol at the front of each clip and now no sound.

i did just that 3 months ago, and they sent me a replacement within a day. (great service!)
Now this is frustrating. Here 3 months later it happened again to the other phone :/
about a week ago i began getting temp warnings again. I simply freaked out and let it "cool down" from the well airconditioning in my apartment for about a day.
This happened last night. All i did was take some of my games off and i had it sitting there for a good 2 hours while my GF and I watched a movie. I connected it to my laptop to sync a playlist i had made earlier, and the apple logo appeared. I didnt think much of it at the time, but when i returned from the 7-eleven right down the street it was still there. i picked it up and pressed home **one time** & the apple logo dissappeared my led went completely black and then shifted to that eerie black screen of death black that is acouple shades darker. Im debating on waiting to see if i can get it to boot in a day or two because still even so... I dont wanna be like "where's my sound!?!?!??!" again. Nothing i can do about it immediatly.
         o btw
hard reset = fail
dfu = fail
charger (pc & wall) = fail
                                                                 TERRIBLE deja-vu

  • I remove by mistake the realtek audio device high definition audio bus. Now, the sound of my computer is not working. What should I do?

    Hi!
I remove by mistake the realtek audio device high definition audio bus. Now, the sound of my computer is not working. What should I do?

first go to start-all programs- windows update is at the top of the list follow the prmpts to install microsoft update which is the new version of windows update if microsoft update is all ready installed go there and select custom then let it look for updates
then if it detects missing drivers it will install or guide you on what to do. If you have an r52 laptop then try this link.
    http://support.lenovo.com/en_CA/downloads/detail.page?LegacyDocID=MIGR-58599 the best of luck.
2 if that doesnt work then try this  open device manager right click on the sound device you may have to expand sound, video and game controlers on the tab that comes up select properties then select the drivers tab  select update driver.
do it this way incase the driver installation failed the frist time it may not ask you to update again if you didnt uncheck the box that came up on frist try.
3.find a mother board disk and search the disk using explore for ac97 realtech driver. actually windows update should solve it also try there  FIX IT web site there are many automatied fixes there for your use.

  • How do I make two audio clips from different mics sound the same in premiere?

I have a video I am working on. we used two different mic and camera options. One is a lavaliere mic that was too hot and picked up a lot of fuzz, and the other was an on board mic that was just a little echoey from the office walls. I found that some clips were better on different versions. so I want to put the two different sets next to each other in video and make the sound be the exact same. That way no one notices the differences in audio.
    Any help is appreciated.

Hi. Although not perfect, I'd add an audio mixer effect and adjust the highs, mids & lows on both of them to help their audio, respectively, sound more similar. Often when I shoot, my Boom mike (backup) is much fuller sounding than the lavs. are. Lavs are inherently lacking in the low end, and the boom is often too hot on the low end. So I would add Audio Mixer effect, and lower the low end on the boom slightly, and highten the low and mids just a bit on the lavs. Even taking a little highs off the lavs makes it sound a bit more like the boom.
As far as echo is concerned, you probably can't do to much about that unless you have an external graphic equalizer/limiter. Lot's of times I just add  some music in the background, which helps a lot to hide echo from the mics.
Finally if you tape/record/film in a location that has lots of background noise like, background people, cars or rain or wind or general white noise "hiss", then you should record a minute or two of the location without any dialogue. This is is known as "Wala" recording. You can add a little of this to your whole track, or just on the mike track that doesn't seem to pick up the ambient sound, thus making it sound more like your other mike.
    I hope this helps.

  • Audio scrubbing just moves audio clip

Hello; I'm a new iMovie user and I'm just finding my way around in the program. I have an old G4 with iMovie 4.01 and I can't seem to get the audio scrubbing to work. According to the Pogue book on iLife 04, "In iMovie 04, for the first time, you can scrub by Option-dragging your mouse back and forth across an audio clip. iMovie plays the sound under your cursor." [p. 361]
So far everything I've tried has just ended up moving the audio clip from side to side, Option key or not. What am I not doing right here?
    Thanks.

Bit unstable ..but Apple warns that it still is; "use at own risk", etc.
I wanted to see if current (version 6.0.3) iMovie HD, etc, works OK with the new system. So far, no problems.
Safari looks a little different - different typeface, and these buttons at the bottom of each post ("Did this topic solve your issue? Yes No") appear odd ..but maybe that's because it's still in the process of being tweaked and refined. There's a handy "make an Widget" button in Safari, letting me draw around, say, the topmost 10 posts on this page, and then I can call that back as a Widget overlay on top of anything else which is on the screen ..making it easy to pop in and out of Discussions..
Just downloaded a newer version yesterday, but have yet to install it (today).

  • AUDIO CLIPPING/DESTROYED WHEN EXPORTED TO QUICKTIME

Hi folks! Does Bob need your help today!
I am working on a sequence in Final Cut Pro. When I play it in the timeline, the audio sounds fine. However, when I export it to Quicktime, it is a lot louder and the audio clips like crazy (distorts/sounds destroyed). I am really in trouble here and just can't figure it out. I'm going nuts! All I want is to have what I have in the timeline exported as it is.
Some details to help you help me:
    - although it sounds good when played in the timeline, the audio does stray into the red. I don't see why this should matter since it sounds fine in the timeline - this is all I want when exporting.
    - I have one video track and several audio tracks.
To all who do, thanks so much for helping me.

Going into the red with digital audio is not the same as when it happens with analog audio.
With digital sound the signal is being truncated and as you remarked, quite literally being destroyed.
Redlining analog audio, is introducing distortion but there is still "headroom" and in reasonable doses it can give you a nice fuzzy feeling.
Bottom line -don't let your digital audio signal go into the red.
Have a look at the keyword searchable, Final Cut Pro User Manual in FCP's Help menu bar item, where this is explained in more detail.
Your search term for the day "Audio Levels, Meters, and Output Channels".

  • No sound from some audio clips suddenly

Made a 55min movie from multiple video clips and narrated with several audio recordings and added music tracks as well, suddenly some audio clips after the first 30 mins show up blank, when viewing audio waves and their volumes are set fine. Other audio clisp in between works fine thou.
Found this after having exported and shared to iDVD, Audio wave files and Media files seems fine in the project folder/content. what happened and have could I possible recap output from these clips again?
BTW HD ***** on sound facility and sometimes disstores sounds during playback when a project gets too large, sometime after saving project and emptying trash, it might work again for a while
Googled around for few days now with out any solutions, any hints?

    Hi stefw,
I assume you've already done the following:
    (1) Make sure the audio checkbox is selected for the track you want to hear. The audio checkbox is to the right of each track in the timeline viewer.
    (2) If the audio checkbox is selected, then choose View > Show Clip Volume Levels and see if the audio levels for the tracks are set to a level that can be heard"
If so, this is what I'd try.....with your project open, start an new, empty project. Go to the original project and copy one of the clips (highlight it and then FILE....COPY.) Go to the other project and click in the second line of the timeline and click FILE...PASTE. Make sure the audio checkbox (on the far right) is selected for that line and attempt to play it in the new project. If it works, drag it back into your original project and try it from there.
If that doesn't work, look for the. aiff files in the original project file in Finder (find the file, right click, choose "Show Package contents", then look in the media folder.) Drag that file into the new project and attempt to play it. If it works, drag it back into your original project and try it there.
Hope it works out for you.

  • How can I match sound quality between video clips and audio clips?

    Hi guys,
First of all let me say that I enjoy using the latest Media Encoder. However, as a novice, I have two related problems.
1.I am recording video to use with PowerPoint slides in Adobe Captivate. I am encoding the video with best quality FLV. This produces very good video,
but with a degraded audio track, even though I had filtered the audio in soundbooth. The post encoding sounds like it did before Soundbooth corrections.
    2. Some of the video recording has been set cut into audio clips to be used as background narration behind PowerPoint. The logic behind this is: that if both are
recorded at the same time, the voice quality should match.
This is far from the outcome. I have tried MP3 for the audio which of course produced the best sound- but is entirely unlike the rest of the video. I have also encoded the audio with Windows Waveform preset figuring that since the soundbooth edit was a .wav file, that there should be a reasonable match. Wrong again!
So, the audio quality of all clips is poor, and the difference between the encoded video clips, and the audio encoded clips spoils the otherwise professional result in Captivate.
Please help, all of you experts.

    Thank you.
    OS Windows 7 x 64; 3.2 MHz; 2 TB; 12 GB Ram-9GB ram allocated to Adobe.
    My process is this:
    1. The whole video and audio narration material is shot in one continuous video sesseion.
    2. The microphone is only mono, but the camera is set to stereo. Noone can work out how to change the camera to mono.
    3. In Premiere Pro 5, I select render and replace in SoundBooth.
    4. In Soundbooth, I choose Add Multichannels.
    5. In Multichannels, I delete the unwanted noisy channel, and any other unused channels.
    6. With the remaining mono channel, I then select Export and Save As option, then Stereo.
    7. Next I edit the stereo channels as needed.
    8. The imported stereo won't automatically update in Premiere Pro, so in PPR I import the new edited stereo track.
    9. I test this track in PPR, to check that it is playing R & L channels. It is. OK.
10 On the timeline, I proceed to cut apart this single stereo wavelength .
11.These clips are saved as Video, or Audio subclips.
12 From the video subclips, I export to Media Encoder, and choose either FLV4 match attributes (High Q). This I modify to custom 2 pass (Custom save).
The summary says that this is saved to MP3 Stereo.
    13. I import this into Captivate 5, but the Video outcome is Left channel only. I have tested this on Media Player/Real Player where it is also L channel only.
    14. I export my Audio subclips to Media player, and select MP3 option and this summary also reports stereo. The Audio outcome is stereo, when played in any player and in Captivate 5.
I cannot understand how a single, continuous track edited uniformly in Soundbooth to stereo, can produce different outcomes in Media player.
I would so appreciate a solution to this problem, because, in the Captivate 5 e-learning production, the switch between stereo audio (behind PowerPoints), and l. channel video is distracting. Naturally, the l. channel only is a thin sound. It is as if it had never been edited in SoundBooth at all.

A small update to this issue....
I have been trawling the forums to find an answer but to no avail...
And... I've tried exporting and bouncing individual stems and the full session, either by muting all bar the stem or soloing the stem.....and still nothing.
Same problems.....everything is audible in audition but nothing plays on playback.
Since the 'prelisten' channel strip is Solo safe this would indicate that you have a track or channel strip soloed somewhere else, out of sight. Are the Mute buttons on your channel strips blinking?
To view all objects in your mixer, click the button. You may have to scroll sideways to check the whole mixer.

  • No sound when playing an audio clip from a website

I'm trying to play an audio clip on a website. The site shows that the clip is playing, but I have no sound. My speakers are on and none of my volume mixers are muted. I played a clip from a different website and had sound. I spoke with Customer Service for the website where I'm not getting sound, and they tried playing the same clip on their computer, using Firefox, and it played the sound. I also tried playing a different clip on the same website, but again didn't have sound.
I'm using Firefox 16.0.2 on Windows XP

You can click the Volume icon on the Windows Taskbar near the clock and click the Mixer link at the bottom to open the mixer.<br />
You can adjust the volume level for each application in that window, so make sure that Firefox is not muted or set at a low level.<br />
Current Firefox versions use the plugin-container process to run plugins, so you need to check the volume setting for the plugin-container process.<br />
You will only see the Firefox program or the Plugin Container in the Mixer if you are on a website that plays sound.

  • How do I have two audio clips overlapping each other?

I have a project where we have to make a music video, and I wanted to start working on the audio. I have an audio clip of the instrumental without me singing the song. I made a separate audio clip of me just singing the song because I wanted to be able to use autotune without changing how the music sounded. Now I want to play both clips at the same time but every time I try to do it the clips just change positions. Also I have another audio clip in the beginning of the video that I don't want changed or moved. I've tried googling and searching on youtube but nothing seems to help.

Don't think it's on the Exchange yet (why would I ask for something I have configured already?). Maybe I'll add it later on, but don't understand me wrong, I fully respect the preference is different depending on the user.
Just my common sense as analyst-programmer that tells me not to close something automatically by default (so only on first install). Your product, your call ;)

  • When clicking an audio clip on the timeline in Premiere Pro CC 2014, it duplicates it on a different track and makes it impossible to work.

I'm experiencing a disturbing issue as it actually prevents me to do the work in Premiere. I will put as much info as possible:
    1) Project started on a different computer (the editor), PC with Premiere Pro CC,
    2) Now opened on my Imac with Premiere Pro CC 2014,
    3) I am not editing, simply trying to move audio clips on different tracks to export audio tracks only,
    THE ISSUE:
    1) Here is my timeline:
    2) When I select an audio clip to highlight it, Premiere creates a duplicate on a different track:
Note that the clip highlighted in the previous screen cap is the duplicate and I didn't click it, Premiere highlights it as soon as it is duplicated.
    3) When I click out of the timeline or scroll up or down on the timeline, the duplicates disappear. However, when I try to move the original clips, it doesn't do anything, they are stuck in place.
    ANTICIPATED ANSWERS:
    1) You work on 2 different computers with 2 different versions of Premiere Pro CC, what do you expect? --> The amazing thing about Adobe CC is that it shouldn't be an issue and now I have to deal with it in this way,
    2) Try and save an updated version of your project from your computer. --> Already done that.
Thank you for your help. I usually use the customer support chat but I am on the other side of the globe and it is now closed. This issue prevents me to work so I need to solve it quickly.
    Kind regards,
    Aurelien

This sounds to me like it could be a graphics related problem are you on the latest driver. Something else you could try, start a new project and import the one from the PC into that rather than directly opening it in the MAC

  • Moving Audio Clip less then 1 frame in Premiere

Is it possible to move an audio clip less then one frame in premiere CS4.  I recorded and then remixed in Audition 3.  Live concert was also recorded in HDV on a Canon hv30.  I want to use the remixed audio with the video footage in place of the camera audio.  It was recorded hdv 30P so one frame is a significant amount of time from the audios point of view.  The audio and video are about half a frame apart.  The only thing I can think of is take the audio back into audition and shorten the lead in by the required amount.  I was hoping for a easier way.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
    Ken

    Ken,
Glad that it did work for you. Now, there are still some frame-specific things that can and cannot be done, as PrPro is frame-based, but for your need, it sounded like a good solution.
    Thanks for reporting success,

  • Best way to merge/nest video and audio clips?

    Hi there,
I really need some advice as I am currently editing a video that has a lot of extra sound effects placed in different places and it pretty much makes the mass of the background sound that has been carefully paired to the clips that I have. My issue here is that I need to place in a voice over and make sure it syncs with the visuals also, but this has made me realise that I will need to loop some parts of the clip to make it work and I dont really want to need to move every single chunk of video clip and it's corresponding sound effect manually by highlighting and then pushing towards the right to make room as I may miss something and it will wipe off some areas that I have spent so long on.
Is there a way to 'nest' my current clips with my audio clips so I can safely organise this rather than dealing with about 50 layers of audio and clips whilst I move things about to work with the voice over? Please help any advice would be very appreciated!
    Thanks

Find the sequence you are working on in the Project Panel, drag and drop it on the "New Item" button to create another sequence. Now you have a nested sequence that you can treat as a single clip.
