Audio Codec Error after adjusting volume V 7.02

I get an error reading audio file on playback after using
Adjust Volume tool, Presenter V7.02. I have to re-record the
audio.

Hi,
Try the following.
Download the IDT Audio installer on the link below and save it to your Downloads folder.
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp56001-56500/sp56429.exe
When done, open windows Control Panel, open Device Manager and open up Sound, Video and Game Controllers.  Right click the IDT device and select Uninstall - you should also get a prompt to remove the current driver, tick the box to allow this and then proceed with the uninstall.
When complete, shut down the notebook, unplug the AC Adapter and then remove the battery.  Hold  down the Power button for 30 seconds.  Re-insert the battery, plug in the AC Adapter and start the notebook.
Let Windows fully load - it will automatically load an audio driver, but just let it complete.  Then open your Downloads folder, right click on the IDT installer and select 'Run as Administrator' to start the installation.  When this has completed, restart the notebook again.

  • Idt high definition audio CODEC error (39)

HP Pavilion dv4 Notebook PC - operating on Windows Vista Home Premium (32 bit)
    HP support assistant reads:
    IDT High Definition Audio CODEC - Error (39) - Driver stwrt64.sys - version 6.10.6047.5
Recently uninstalled and reinstalled itunes and now when i open it says "itunes has detected a problem with your audio configuration" and wont play songs

    Thanks billaboard for your response.
Unfortunately, I gave up waiting for an answer and just re-set the laptop back to factory specs.... then spent the next 8 hours re-installing programs & updating windows & the HP programs to the current versions.
I won't be using an NCH product again.
In terms of who I should be asking, I would point out:
I used the inbuilt HP Support Assistant on my laptop, to diagnose why my sound wasn't working.  It identified the drivers that were at issue.
    I uninstalled all NCH programs
I downloaded the correct HP Audio drivers & reinstalled them.  They advised it was a successful install.  8 times.
Each time I rebooted, I would run the HP Support Assistant again and it would then identify that the HP drivers were not working.
The HP Support Assistant link, for further help, led me here.  If this isn't the correct place to ask for help.... a site labelled "HP Support Forum", then where the hell is ?
Thankyou again for your response.  If I have further issues with other programs, I will follow your advise and re-install the offending program, before un-installing.

  • Audio Codec error box when I try to view a clip in Edit Box

Just started trying to use Pr E 7. Vista
I get the media from an external hard drive, drag it to the timeline box. When I try to 'play' it, I get an
"Adobe Default Windows Sound Device" box that says:
Device:   IDT High Definition Audio CODEC
    Error Code:     FFA-8-000D  (80040154)
    Info:
    Playback failed
The audio system does not seem to respond.
Maybe card does not support full duplex mode.
The funny thing is the clip that I'm trying to play doesn't have any audio in it.
    Any ideas would be appreciated.

    You are most welcome.
So very much depends on the exact process used to encode the AV (Audio & Video) file. There are many encoding processes, that will create elemental streams, i.e. Audio-only, or Video-only files. However, many schemes, and many programs, that will create a muxed (multiplexed, or combined Audio & Video) files, and though there is no Audio signal, a silent Audio Track will be written. You can even do this yourself from Share/Export. If you choose a common format, like DV-AVI, you will have the option to Export Video, and Export Audio, and also have Multiplexing choices. If you remove all Audio from the Timeline, but choose both Video & Audio, and set Multiplexing to DV, you should end up with a muxed DV-AVI file, that will have a 48KHz 16-bit PCM/WAV Audio track embedded, but it will be silent. G-Spot will tell you the specs. of that Audio stream, even though there is no signal in it. When you go to Import, or play that file, the NLE, or player will need to "handle" the Audio too, though there is no signal.
Now, going back to the digitizing process, one can often set Audio to None, or Multiplexing to None. This will depend on the software, and/or hardware used, but one might be able to output an elemental stream, with Video-only. Some programs and hardware are pretty much "hard-wired" to do only an Multiplexed AV file, regardless of the lack of a stream for either of those.
When doing any Multiplexed AV files, it is prudent to check both streams, even if the source material is lacking one stream. You want the specs. to match, with say even a silent Audio stream set to 48KHz 16-bit PCM/WAV (the general specs. for DV/DVD files). If one accidentally allows the software, or hardware, to write an "off-spec." file, say MPEG Audio at 22KHz 12-bit, problems can arise, even though there is no Audio stream. There will be one, at those specs. for the silent Audio in the resultant file.
On the surface, and at first thought, this is not intuitive. Hey, we have silent footage! What's that Audio stream doing there? Well, it's because the file is a Multiplexed AV file, and was probably set up that way by the capture/digitizing/output program, and it did not know that you would not have an Audio signal.
    Hope that this helps,
    Hunt

  • Used Quicktime to export iMovie and play on a TV, but getting audio codec error

I created an iMovie 11 project and exported it using Quicktime as a HD movie to play on a one year old Samsung big screen TV. The movie file ended in .mov, which the TV would not recognize, so I changed the extension to .mpg and the video plays fine.
The problem I have is that during the first 3 or 4 seconds of the movie, I get an error pop up on the TV screen that the audio codec is not supported, obviously newer than the TV, right?
So I updated the TV to the latest firmware via Samsung's website and that all went as expected. However, the error message is still there.
The movie is made up completely of still images, so there is no audio to detach, and I can find no other settings to disable the audio portion of the movie.
Anyone run into this before and be able to share some advice, please?

I found that these audio codecs are supported:
    AC3
    LPCM
    ADMPCM (MA, MS)
    AAC
    HE-AAC
    WMA
    DD+
    MPEG (MP3)
    DTS Core

  • Audio Codec Broken after Installing

    Hey Community,
Sooo i've installed Premiiere Pro CC on my Laptop together with Media Encoder CC.

I do not know how to fix this, anyone got tips?

  • BEx query error after adjust 0vender master table

    Dear Experts
Since we need change "lower case" setting on Ovender infoObject (no record with Lower case for Ovendor), To active it without delete transcation data, I manually adjust table ( P table, S table and T table ) with delete data, then active it and reload 0vendor master.
after that, when we execute report, system give the errer "System error in program CL_RSDM_READ_MASTER_DATA and form sidvaldirect_read2"
    Pls help
    Thanks

    Hi,
The first thing to be noted here is that, the "Lower case" settings check box in the Info-object maintainance scree is not for the purpose of allowing or rejecting records with Lower case.if the lower case check box is selected then the Variable entry screen or any selection related to the info object distinguishes between Upper case and Lower case entries. If unselected then it does not distinguish between Upper case and lower case entries in Variable entry screen or any selection related to the info object.
The kind of operation on Ovender infoObject (no record with Lower case for Ovendor) must be done in Start Routine's either in the Transfer rules or Update Rules depending on your context need like its global or local.
As your previous data doesnt hole any lower case entries in 0Vendor, no need to delete the data also. You can simply write a Start routine to block lower case records from entering the system.
As far as your manipulation w.r.t to Info object tables is concerned, My suggestion is not to deal with DB tables independently, as the application may not recognise the operation of individual tables content deletion.
    hope this helps.
    regards,
    kishore

  • Audio Configuration error after installing iTunes 7.1.1

    STEPS:
    1. Launch previous version of iTunes, verify application opens.
    2. Agree to upgrade to latest version of iTunes.
    3. After installation, restart PC and launch application.
    EXPECTED RESULT:
    iTunes 7.1.1 launches
    ACTUAL RESULT:
iTunes does not launch; error "iTunes cannot be run because it has detected a problem with your audio configuration" is generated.
    NOTES:
I changed nothing between when I last launched iTunes and when I upgraded to the new version. This error message is quite vague - does anyone have any clue what it means? Thanks.

that's typically caused by a problem with your QuickTime. (itunes uses QuickTime for audio and video playback.)
the following document may be of some assistance:

  • Volumeicon volume keys stop working after adjusting volume via icon

When Volumeicon is first started, the volume keys work fine, (although it doesn't show the volume bar like it does when you scroll on the icon for some reason). When I adjust the volume by scrolling the mousewheel on the icon, the volume keys stop working and volume can only be adjusted via scrollwheel. Volumeicon must be restarted to restore volume key functionality.
Why is this happening? What's going on?

Is this something that worked previously but then stopped working correctly?
What window manager / desktop environment are you using?
If you start volumeicon from the command line then use it are there any error messages?
Alternatively, does the volumeicon-gtk2 packagen in the AUR work better?

  • Error after adjusting time: Timestamp too far in the future

It's 4 o'clock and my clock showed 23h no matter what I did, so I adjusted it manually. After that some commands (like sudo) complain that the timestamp is too far in the future. One possible hack is to touch every file in my system, but that's just ugly. What can I do to correct this?
I'm using KDEMod. I think the best thing would be to tell KDE to synchronize with a server, but I can't find that setting

I cleared the sudo cache with "sudo -K" but I don't know what else was affected. This is a stupid error though

  • Audio Interface Errors after Upgrade

Hi Y'all. I'm a bit dense on audio ins and outs, so bear with me. I have a M-Audio Firewire Solo audio interface. It worked fine for the last 5 months or so on Logic Express 7. After Upgrading to Logic 8 yesterday, it now records all kinds of beeps and static that I can't get rid of. It sounds almost as if there is a loose cable somewhere, except that logically that isn't it, since the only thing that changed since I last used it is the upgrade. Anyone else have this sort of problem? Thoughts?

OK, so FYI, M-Audio Tech Support has (knock-on-wood) solved the problem. I unplugged the audio interface, installed the Apple 10.4.10 Combo Update from the Apple website (I had never heard of this combo update, but apparently it updates things that would not otherwise get updated even if your Software Update says you are up to date), then repaired permissions in Disk Utility, uninstalled the M-Audio driver, fixed permissions, reinstalled the M-Audio Driver, fixed permissions, shutdown, plugged the audio interface back in (without the power cord, only firewire - apparently this is very important, not that M-Audio ever tells you that until it breaks), rebooted and presto!
It seemed kind of ridiculous to me, but hey, it seems to be working.

  • L channel sound comes through both L and R speakers after installing IDT High Definition Audio Codec

I noticed a sound problem on my laptop. The R channel works as expected but the L channel is split between the L and R speakers. After checking several different possibilities I narrowed the problem down to the IDT High Definition Audio Codec that I downloaded from the HP driver support page for my notebook model and operating system.
I uninstalled the IDT High Definition Audio Codec and restarted. This forced Windows to resort to using its generic "HD Audio Device" default. When I did this the sound was equally split between the L and R speakers as I would expect - L channel 100% though L speaker, R channel 100% though R speaker. I then re-downloaded the IDT High Definition Audio Codec from HP (sp59654.exe), re-installed it, and restarted. Immediately the sound problem was back - while the R channel comes 100% though the R speaker, the L channel is split between L and R speakers.
Please note this has nothing to do with adjusting speaker "balance". Both L and R channel volumes were set to 100% while investigating this problem. It's definitely some sort of incompatibilty between the IDT High Definition Audio Codec and Windows 8 64-bit or the sound hardware in the HP Envy DV6.
    Here are my details:
    IDT High Definition Audio Codec
    Publisher: IDT
    Date: 8/19/2012
    Version: 6.10.6425.0
    Notebook
    HP Envy DV6-7200
    Windows 8 64-bit

Here is what I would recommend you trying. Go to device manager and uninstall the audio driver. Once it is uninstalled, go to the device manager toolbar and select "Scan for hardware changes". After it completes, reboot the computer. Once the computer is rebooted, test the audio and let me know if that helped.

  • No Sound after updating IDT High Definition Audio Codec on my HP Pavilion dv6-6154tx laptop

I recently ran Advanced Driver Update to check and updated my audio driver (IDT High Definition Audio Codec) on my Windows 7 laptop. However, after the update, every time I boot up the computer, there is no audio output. I checked the volume control options and they are all fine, showing "all devices are playing sound". But there is no sound. Even the 'test sound' option does not play any audio, although the computer says that it is working fine. I read some posts on this forum and came across an answer - to uninstall the current driver from Device Manager, and manually install IDT HD Audio Driver for Windows. This works and I am able to get back the sound. However, I have to do this every time I start my computer after shutting it down, and this is proving cumbersome. Can somebody please help me with this and suggest a solution? Thanks.

  • Windows 10 IDT High Definition Audio Codec doesn't work properly on Hp Envy 20d001-la after update

I'm using a Windows 10 just updated pc, Hp Envy 20 d001la,  and I'm having problems with my speakers, they work with  IDT High Definition Audio Codec driver. It has beatsAudio available, but the bass don't sound the right way, I can barely hear it. It has a low quality sound...  the worst quality. This problem isn't new for me, when upgraded to Windows 8.1, also the problem apeared, when the driver released with a new version, specificly for Windows 8.1, but how did I solve it? I only installed the Original Audio Controller found on Hp Support & drivers page (It was designed for work on Windows 8 64 bits). So, I know Windows 10 is newer than ever, and sure of some bugs or little corrections after updating. But when I try to install the Windows 8 Original controller to get the extreme sound quality again, it can't be installed. The problem says: "Operating system doesn't has the requirements" The new drivers have low sound quality (driver Windows 8.1 & Windows 10 versions) If I could install the Windows 8 version driver, I'm sure the sound quality returns. Thanks in advance.

Hi!  Thanks a lot, I've tried the solution you've given me, (extracted the setup file with winrar on a folder and search for the driver as you said) but an error message shows: "There are not compatible drivers on the selected folder, try with one for Windows x64" It happens with both drivers I have, W8 & W8.1 versions. And also I have other problem, I didn't connect the headphones when trying solving the problem, and when I connected them, a surprise: The speakers didn't shutdown, they continue playing sounds and the headphones and speakers were playing sound at the same time. I've checked for the internal connector and The connector is clean. Then I tried to install W8.0 IDT setup manually clicking on the files extracted, the process finished succesfully, and system restarted, the sound quality came again, but still when I connect the headphones, the speakers don't shutdown and sometimes music stops. The problem is with all versions of driver I tried, the W10 got by Windows update, the found on Device Manager, the W8 , W8.1installed manually, But not worked.I hope in a future upade the problem could be solved, because I listen to music always only on headphones to avoid disturb others. Thanks, I'm trying a new method if is kanown for you. Thanks a lot.
