Audio codecs for Symbian 9

Hi everyone! Does anybody knows, is it possible to add FLAC and ALAC support to a standart music player? I have Nokia C6-00. If you know something about additional video codecs, please tell me.

I use the Power Trio and it works great. There have been a few software issues along the way but what software doesn't have issues. My best advice is to check it out for yourself. The duet is a great interface the sound is fantastic. Based on it's performance and sound I would get the Ensemble if I needed more in's and out's.
I replaced the older Mackie Control with a MC mix and couldn't be happier. My MCU never worked right from the non calibrating faders to the fact it needed it's own midi interface to work properly. I'm sure the new MCU works a lot better but it's still huge. The space on my desktop where the MCU would sit is now taken by MC MIX, MC Transport, 4 Hard drives,Akai MPD 24,FirewireUSB hub, Ethernet Desktop switch. The MC MIx is a gem, plug and play. I'm really starting to dig in to pulling up plugins on it and tweaking them from the MC Mix and controlling duet from the MC Mix also.
I went with these products based on their reputation for making quality stuff and plug in play operation with Apple but if it didn't work I would return it.

  • Re: AC3/A52 audio codec for Premiere

I am also trying to make use of a video file that features a similar codec. I am running an updated version of Premiere Pro CS5.
Unfortunately the audio does not work. (Audio works fine from other video files.)
I have tried copying over the dll file too mentioned...and this also doesn't work. (I guess this is not relevant to Cs5)
The full details of the file are:
    Stream 1
    Codec: A52 Audio (aka AC3) (a52)
    Channels: 3F2R/LFE
    Sample Rate: 48000 Hz
    Bitrate: 448 kb/s
Any clues? (The video plays perfectly in media player or DIVX player)
I've also been trying to convert the file with Virtual Dub...but I cannot figure out a file format that will work with Premiere Pro Cs5. I'll keep trying.
    Any help much appreciated.

If Stan's suggestion does not work (it has for many, but not all), then I would look into ripping the Audio, say in Audition, Soundbooth or maybe the free Audacity, and then doing a Save_As a PCM/WAV file at 48KHz 16-bit, and Importing that into the Project.
Odd that this is the third post on A52 in the last 48 hours. Must be the phases of the Moon?
    Good luck,

  • Audio codecs for laptop

I have a Toshiba A215-S4697,I recently purchased a JVC Everio flash camcorder. After downloading the videos to my computer I play them on Windows Media player, the video plays but no sound. The videos are in MPEG-2 format with Dolby Digital AC3 CH2 audio.I can convert the videos to have mp2 audio but the video quality suffers. Can I download a codec that will allow the videos to play on my computer without converting them? Thanks for any help.Ray

I can recommend the above link, K-lite is an excellent collection. Just choose not to install "Media player" when you install it, this would install the old-as-the-hills media player.

  • AC3/A52 audio codec for Premiere

Good day, everyone. I'm alive again.
I have a video with a A52/AC3 audio on it and apparently the premiere installed in my PC cannot decode it so I have to extract the audio with another software. Ain't there some other way (needless to say, premiere A52/AC3 codec) that I can import my video to my pr pro project in which pr can read its audio data?
    I'm using prprocs3.

Thanks for the quick reply...much appreciated.
I don't have Audition with the laptop I'm on (don't think they included that with Cs5 bundle)...
but I'm trying Media Encoder instead as I write.....so thanks for the tip.
(I need to get this done within the next hour or so! Have already been working on it for about 2 hours)
I also tried Virtual Dub...I used the standard "Save AVI" feature...it produced another AVI file..that again plays fine in various media players...but when I import it into Premiere Pro...only the video comes in...and no audio track at all...
Various posts refer to using Virtual Dub to convert to DV AVI...but unfortunately I cannot find any explanation of how exactly to do this...there is no "Save or export to  DV AVI" option I can find in Virtual Dub....(I've tried downloading a VFW Panasonic Codec...which apparently is of some help with this)
Other option might be After Effects I guess...or maybe a free video editor off the net?
Open to anything at this point!
    Thanks!

  • Does version 12 support producing video clip with AMR audio codec?

From some documents i used as reference to proceude some videos for my phone Premiere Elements 8 can produce video clips with AMR audio codec. I bought today the Premiere elements 12 but I can not find a way to set AMR audio codec for my video clip. Only AAC audio codec seems available.   Is it possible to add AMR codec to 12 version?

    Neurona17
Adobe typically supports only current version, and, if you purchased from it, is strict on "within 30 days of purchase": for money back on that current version purchase. I do not believe such a thing as a "change the license for other earlier release such as 8 or 9" exists at Adobe. But, you could ask. If you wish to purchase one of those earlier versions that supports AMR export, you might still find some online.
Is the before import conversion of AMR to WAV a viable alternative?
    You wrote
Unfortunately so far I have not been able to generate any useful video clip for my system with this 12 version.
Is this in regard to the AMR requirement or to any video without the AMR audio?
Online I have seen that there is a download for the AMR audio codec. Does your system now show that you have such a codec installed on your computer. If not, I am not sure if download of this codec would place it in the Premiere Elements Publish+Share export settings choices, similar to import of some .avi video codecs. (Sometimes 3rd party codecs can create problem, so proceed with caution if you pursue that AMR audio codec idea.
Please update us on your progress when you get a chance.
    Thanks.

  • USB Audio CODEC not being recognised.

    Hello,
I have my my Wharfedale 802 mixer plugged into my MAC Mini (late 2012),  Processor - 2.5 GHz Intel Core i5, Memory - 4 GB 1600 MHz DDR3, via USB however it is not being recognised as USB audio CODEC what so ever. I have also tried searching for this to set the outputs in Logic and it is not recognised there either.
I have just updated my iOS to Yosemite 10.10.2 and also my Logic X does anybody know why my mac is not recognising my USB audio CODEC for an input or output?
    Please help.
    Thanks

I just posted this problem I had also. The USB audio Codec is for PPC macs only. I couldnt get a PYLE USB cassette deck to work in AUDACITY because it needed that codec.Windows users use this codec for many devices including the one you are trying to connect.
My post in Snow leopard forum:
I have come to the conclusion that this codec only worked on Macs that used PPC chips, not Intel Macs.Apple must have dropped it when switching to Intel. No where on the net can I find anything about this codec on newer mac OS's and newer Macs.
Judging from this user's comment and others, they are working with OSX10.4 or newer OS that has PPC support like the first Mac Pro and other PPC's.I think the comments below answer my own original question.Hope this helps anyone with the same kind of problem with USB devices that need USB audio CODEC.
    In Audacity prefs, I selected:
"USB Audio CODEC" for both Input and playback.
I even tried lower sample rates and such. Record button stays grey and readouts don't show any input whatsoever even though I am sending a signal.
    Mac is a 533Ghz g4 (Digitial audio) running 10.4.11
It is plug into a USB port on back of machine.

  • USB Audio CODEC replacement sw

    hello all,
As it is demonstrated in the thread http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1129950&start=0&tstart=0 in the GarageBand discussion section, many users experience an intolerable static when using USB Audio CODEC for sound input. This was not the case in earlier versions and the consensus in that thread seems to be that something happened in OSX 10.4.11 that broke the codec. Since who knows when this will be fixed, I am wondering if anyone knows a source for an alternative, e.g. from some Linux source etc. I have been using an old Cube and I have no other way to get sound in but thru the USB port (methinks, or is there? FW?)
    Thanks

But this mic is for Mac too. It's says that you "plug and play". I bought this microphone to record my music work at home.
This is the website, It says that works fine with Garage Band but ...

  • Audio codec in premiere CS4

    Hi Guys,
I have a Client requirement to use 'Fraunhofer MP3' audio codec for audio encoding. While in Premiere there is only one audio codec that is too 'MPEG Layer III (mp3)'.
Can anyone let me know please that is there any possibility to install this (Fraunhofer MP3) codec for premiere or premiere gives only one audio codec feature which is its default (MPEG Layer III).
    Please do assist me ASAP.
    Thanks
    Ravi

Instead of installing it in PR, with who knows what consequences, I suggest you use a separate program to convert to Fraunhofer MP3.
A good program for that is Easy CD-DA extractor from http://www.poikosoft.com/ It will give you a lot of conversion capabilities and you can be sure it will not mess up PR.
    Alternatively, Google for audio converters.

  • VC-1 Audio Codec?

I know it's not strictly a quicktime question, but I thought someone reading this might be able to help. The latest version of vlc allows for VC-1 playback of high definition video, however there is not an audio codec for wmap (windows audio codec). Just wondering if anyone knows where I could find a solution?
    Many Thanks

Ok-- after playing all night--I decided to throw number 4 slide away and redo it--music is perfect--what in the world can the difference be??? Anyone?

  • USB Audio Codec

Compaq Pressario 5220, Windows Vista, 32 bits (approx. 3-4 years old)
I bought a USB gramophone record player with a USB connection. This does only operate with a USB Audio Codec which I am supposed to find under Control Panel, Sound, Record.
    Alas!
Any ideas on where to find/acquire such a codec?
    JoeyBr

I have a Pyle USB cassette tape deck that needs this codec also to work with Audacity.I'm out of luck with the USB connection and have to connect it via RCA plugs to miniplug into Line In.
I have come to the conclusion that this codec only worked on Macs that used PPC chips, not Intel Macs.Apple must have dropped it when switching to Intel. No where on the net can I find anything about this codec on newer mac OS's and newer intel Macs.
Judging from this user's comment below and others, they are working with OSX10.4 and PPC's like G3,G4 and G5.Also later versions of Mac OSX that had support for PPC's like the first Mac Pro.
    In Audacity prefs, I selected:
"USB Audio CODEC" for both Input and playback.
    Mac is a 533Ghz g4 (Digitial audio) running 10.4.11
It is plug into a USB port on back of machine.
Attached is a screenshot from Audacity and it shows the USB Audio Codec. I was pulling my hair out, wondering why I couldn't see it in my audio sound setup in OSX 10.6.8 on my black Macbook.I couldn't find it in my system anywhere. This attachment showing the codec installed MUST have been done on a PPC G3,4 or 5. Nowhere does it exist on Intel Macs.
    Disregard the red circle.

  • Hi all ,anyone knows some usefual Codecs for H.264 live video/audio

I'm headache about the JMF codecs ,they are too few ,and seems inefficiency, anyone knows pure java codecs for H.264 or MPEG4 ?And I think it's better a open source one ,do my thanks , guys!

    Here are some basics....
FMLE creates RTMP protocol streams that PCs and Macs watch with Flash players.   iOS devices don't understand RTMP (Flash), only HLS delivery of 10 second chuncks of downloaded video playback.  Both systems understand H.264 video, but iOS wants to see AAC audio not MP3.
You didn't state how you are live streaming, meaning what bandwidth delivery service you are using.  Live streaming only via RTMP won't get you to successful iPad and iPhone HTTP Live Stream.  On-demand delivery to iOS devices normally requires .mp4 video files to be hosted, which Macs and PCs also understand via RTMP delivery.   But unless your delivery service can convert .f4v or .flv files to .mp4 on the fly there is no easy way to to get to iOS via the direct file output of FMLE as of today.   Sometimes we upload live encoded project files to our www.Wistia.com account for PC, Mac and iOS delivery.  This is a YouTube / Vimeo paid type hosting service for on-demand only.
Some commercial CDNs (Content Delivery Networks) today allow an inbound live RTMP into their system using FMLE.  Then they re-mux that RTMP stream into HLS delivery for iOS.  Some work well using the native MP3 audio codec (Internap), but most require FMLE to have the AAC audio codec installed from Main Concept for $200.  Or people use Wirecast from Telestream which is $500 per license to be able to run two instances on that one license.
In my 15 years of being a big commercial webcaster here in Silcion Valley, I have yet to find the perfect simple and easy and affordable RTMP to HLS live and on-demand delivery system.  We currently do it different ways with multiple providers depending on the job.  More offerings are coming out now and we try them all as they come down the pike.

  • OLC Reject for audio codec in a H.323-SIP B2B call involving CUCM & Expressways

In the setup, CUCM is the centralized call controller and expressways are used for firewall traversal.  CUCM & expressways are correctly as per the Cisco document.  A SIP call from a public internet endpoint to CUCM registered MX300 G2 is successfully connected with video & audio.  But a H.323 call from public internet endpoint to the MX300 G2 in CUCM is failing.  It is seen in the logs that there is a OpenLogicalChannel reject for the audio codec.  I tried with both G711 & G729 from the public endpoint, but the result is the same.  Has anyone here faced similar problems.  Is there anything that I have look at.  Thanks in advance.

    Hi Martin,
Thanks for the response.  I can look at the firewall.  But I would like to understand how does firewall can be a factor here when there is a clear OLC Reject.  Is it not confirms that the packets are indeed received and there are some issues in opening the logical channel.
As firewall is not in my scope, I need to make clear reason for the other team to look at.
    Thanks.

  • Could not download this driver: IDT High-Definition Audio CODEC Driver for Microsoft Windows 7.

Tried to download this driver:  IDT High-Definition Audio CODEC Driver for Microsoft Windows 7.
It would not download - said it was not compatble with my operating system.
    I run Windows 7,   64 bit.
I'm trying to increse the sound volume from the monitor.
I have increased the sound to 100 from the monitor and in Windows .  It is still barely audible. . .

    Hello again valens-mom,
Thank you for responding to my post requesting additional information. I can tell you that according to Product Specifications page for your HP Pavilion w2338h is a 23-inch wide-screen HDMI monitor, your monitor has 2 watts oer speaker integrated speakers. A pair of reasonably sensitive speakers deliver the following decibel levels at a distance of about one meter.
    Power/ Decibels
    2 Watts = 93 decibels
    4 Watts = 96 decibels
    8 Watts = 99 decibels
    16 Watts = 102 decibels
    32 Watts = 105 decibels
    64 Watts = 108 decibels
    128 Watts = 111 decibels
    256 Watts = 114 decibels
    512 Watts= 117 decibels
    1024 Watts = 120 decibels
    For Comparison
    10db = normal human breathing
    60db = normal human conversation
110db = power saw, car horn, shouting in ear,
120db = jet aircraft close by, emergency vehicle siren, rock concert
Now as to whether installing the IDT High-Definition Audio CODEC Driver for Microsoft Windows 7 will give you the audio level you are seeking will depend on what computer you have and what audio drivers are installed. To provide you with more accurate information I would need to know additional information concerning your computer. Is this an HP computer? If it is not the driver question would be better answered by the computer manufacturer. If this is an HP computer could you please provide the product number for it so I can take a look into what drivers work on that computer?
How Do I Find My Model Number or Product Number?
Please if you require additional help in this re-post with the requested information and I would be happy to provide you with further assistance. Thank you for posting on the HP Forums. Have a great day!
