hi all. i have the blaster X-fi XtremeGamer Fatalty professonal series. that all works fine and dandy . However. i bought seperatley (ebay) The X-fi I/O front panel. SB0250. But it didnt come with any leads at all just the I/O console. does anybody know where i can get these please as creative just pass me back and forth to fone numbers at premiuim rates!

Bad audio connection

I have a 1st gen ipod shuffle, and it seems that the audio connection is bad. My left ear bud is not working. I even tried different earbuds. if I push the audio connection to one side, I can hear audio on the left side. How can I fix this? I looked all over the discussions and could not find anything on this. I also googled this problem, and it looks like I can order a broken one on ebay and replace the part? Any other Ideas??

Does Apple TV and Optical Audio Connection work?

I've read several posts regarding this issue and I'm a little confused. Does the Optical Audio work on the Apple TV (generation 3), because I haven't been able get it to work. I get sound but no stereo/surround sound. Yet, using the same connection out of my Receiver for my PS3 I do get stero/surround sound. Have I missed a setting on the Apple TV?

Is there away I can check the Apple TV Optical Audio connection to see if it's working? The physical connection seems to be fine. Since the connection to A/V Reciever works, as confirmed by my PS3, I can only assume the Apple TV Optical Audio connection is faulty. Other ideas on how I might validate if the Apple TV Optical Audio connection is truly "broken."

Jack-audio-connection-kit doesn't start

I need jack-audio-connection-kit Daemon running for use in some other programs, but it seems it dies immediately after starting. See:

i'm having the same problem, i can flawlessly run jackd either via CLI and qjackctl, test sound with mplayer, etc.
However, i can't seem to find a solution that let's me do all this as a normal user:

Best audio connection ?
a) itunes computer via RCA stereo connection to home theatre
b Itunes computer streamed to Apple TV , Apple TV connected via optical cable to home theater
c) this I have not tried ... Itune computer connected directly via HDMi to home theater
Also does the sound-card in the computer make a difference ?

I have Fredereih ataxia so my only hobby left is musique and no way I have the dexterity to insert a cd in a tray, I have 400 cd's all ripped at 196kb.
I love my Ipad with Itunes and the remote app to take control of my 5 computers in the house.
My apple tv is ok but I do not have a good internet connection.
In the room where I listen the most music, I have a small EEE laptop.
it is directly connected on a 925 pioneer receiver with 9 speakers (RCA)
Also in this room I have the apple TV connected via the Digital audio cable
Recently (I'm in Canada ) I have been using RDIO (Like Pandora) , they claim sending in 256 kb.
I now notice that here is a difference in Quality for the same file sent it different ways.
played directly from the Pc is not as good as if I use Airplay ?
a) should I resample my 400 cd's at 320kb ?
b) should I buy another Laptop with a good soundcard and a HDMI output.
I would appreciate any recommandation for any laptop under 1000$ ( Only Itune will be o n it.

"Choppy" audio connection

Howdy folks,
I've read the FAQs and the various other threads in this forum and I haven't been able to solve this problem of mine on my own. I apologise if I have missed something!
My girlfriend and I are trying to use an audio connection in iChat. Connecting to one another is not a problem, and the audio is typically crystal-clear and uninterrupted *at first*. Soon, however, it will cut out on my side (her side is more or less fine). Sometimes very briefly, sometimes for a second or two. Often it will happen once and be fine for ten seconds or so (never much longer than that, though); other times it will happen in rapid succession. The net effect is that it is difficult to carry a conversation with these interruptions. I'm hoping, however, that there is something I can do. Any ideas?
We are both running the version of iChat that came with Tiger. We also both have PowerBook G4s. My inet connection is to a university network via ethernet. My download and upload rates are, respectively: approximately 200 KB/sec and app. 45 KB/sec. My girlfriends inet connection is wireless with a download rate of app. 320 KB/sec and upload rate of app. 125 KB/sec.

My hightest recommendation: You should upgrade to 10.4.2. It corrects several issues (including iChat AV issues) that were problems in the previous versions of Tiger.
Try this and any other relevant suggestions from Help for iChat AV 3 Problems.
The testing and tutorial suggestions in Using iSight with iChat AV might also give you some trouble shooting ideas if you are still having difficulty after implementing the above suggestions.
Also, being at a university, you might try at different times of day to see whether busy network traffic is causing problems for you at certain times.
If necessary, you can even take your PowerBook to an off-campus network to help determine whether the problem is in your Mac no matter which network you use to connect.

just after it was ok .
I knwo LEA is the lock table to the liveache, is there parametes tied to the lock (like R/3 enque/table...?)
Does someone have an idea of this issue (which happened regulary for the first time this morning, we're SCM 5.0)

Need help for front pannel audio connection

Hi everyone,
I've a msi p4m800 board. Its doing good but i want to connect the front pannel audio connection but am a beginner and don't really know about the pin assignment.
There are 5 small cables for audio marked as:
spkL
spkR
Mic
Mic power
Gnd.
I know to connect these in 10 pin JAUD1 slot but how? Am much confused and I really want to connect front pannel audio.
ps: is there any possibility to damange the system if i connect these pins wrongly?

RE: Bluetooth Audio Connections Real or Imagined?

On New Yew Year's Eve I offered to do a French Quarter music mix to match the cuisine. My idea was to run Rhapsody play lists thru my iPhone 4s into a Miccus BlueBridge adapter which has a micro out which I ran a audio "RCA" y-cable into the Aux inputs of my friends audio system. I also wanted to use my Jawbone Jambox speaker to play in the kitchen. It seems that the process was either or. When the second Bluetooth device was connected (it didn't matter which) it cancelled out the first. Hmmmm. Then ran the micro to RCA from the iPhone's headphone jack (micro) and that cancelled out the bluetooth streaming. Ideally it would be tre cool to stream to a couple of bluetooth devices and/or a bluetooth stream and audio connect. Is this doable? Here are links to the equipment:

DLD28 We absolutly understand the importance of hands free driving! Since the update, your phone will function better but there may be a few quirks at first. Try to unpair the devices and pwer off the phone. Next, remove the sim then reinstall and retest.

Audio Connections and K8T NEO FISR2

The audio connection on my Wavemaster case has the following connections:
R-OUT
MIC IN
GND
L-OUT
They are all 4 single pin connectors.
The NEO FISR2 has:
AUD-MIC

AUD-MIC BIAS
AUD-VCC
AUD-FPOUT-R
AUD-RET-R
HP-ON

AUD-RET-L
Any ideas as to what the proper connections should be? The only one I’m sure on is the ground. I’ve tried a few combinations with no luck. I’m beginning to wonder if I have a bad daughter card on the Wavemaster or something wrong with the board???

I'll try that, though I think I'm having sound problems in general. I installed an Audigy2 ZS. I'm getting no sound at all. Here is what is really strange. When I disable the Audio 97 option in Bios, Cool and Quite gives me an error saying that a device file can not be found and that cool and quiet is incompatible with my notherboard. When Audio 97 is re-enabled the message goes away
Any ideas?

MAC - TV audio connection

I have my mac connected to my tv to use as multimedia center.
Video connection is fine and the audio jack goes into the receiver.
But i came across some weird digital noise coming out of my speakers. It dissapears when i move the mouse.
Question: Is there another audio connection possible than with the audio jack output? Is audio possible through HDMI cable connection?
What is the proper way?

Reset an audio connection...

Hi,
Sometime I lost audio connection from one participant in particular (and I can listen other participants).
If I reset the audio stream with audioSub.resetAllStreams(); this will fix the problem.
Can I catch this ? I receive no event when this happens with audioSub.addEventListener(StreamEvent.STREAM_DELETE,deleteStreamAudio);

Jack-audio-connection-kit with oss2jack

I have an onboard Ali soundcard that I just use the intel8x0 driver for and I've never had any sound problems. Today I decided I wanted to try out a sound server so that I could play multiple sounds at once. Everything seemed to go as planned. I built the the oss2jack and fusd-kor packages with makepkg and then installed them with makepkg and everything seemed to go without hitch. I put os2jack after jack-audio-connection-kit (which is the longest daemon name I've seen by far, I might add) in my daemon's list in my rc.conf and upon reboot there were no issues starting either daemon. However when I attempt to play something in rhythmbox or vlc (changing between the OSS and the ALSA output methods) nothing would play and this error would come up in the messages on vlc:
oss error: cannot open audio device (/dev/dsp)
Here is my modprobe.conf:

And I also have the modules snd-intel-8x0, kfusd, and snd-pcm-oss in my rc.conf modules list.
If you need any more information I will gladly provide. I'm sorry if this is a stupid error, I know next to nothing about audio on linux.

your not supposed to use the /etc/modprobe.conf file in archlinux. your not supposed to use the snd-pcm-oss module with oss2jack because snd-pcm-oss is alsa's oss emulation. That creates problems because the oss sound dev node is /dev/dsp which oss2jack also creates; and can't create because you load snd-pcm-oss which creates the dev node before oss2jack is loaded which then makes it impossible for oss2jack to create it. (hope that made sense)
(modinfo module-name to see what a specific kernel module does)
anyway:
1. remove everything which isn't comments from /etc/modprobe.conf
2. remove snd-pcm-oss from rc.conf
3. reboot
4. try it, it should work

Audio connection dodgy

I was listening to my i-pod the other day and suddenly it started playing in my left ear only. Thought it might be faulty headphones, but have tried two other pairs and it's the same. I have since found that if i insert the headphone jack in only half way it kind of works but it won't stay like that.
Seems like the audio connection is dodgy. Is this something I can have repaired or is it one of those things where I end up having to buy a whole new i-pod

I have the opposite problem. The internal speaker started to make a staticy chattering sound after using the new Superdrive to do backups. All works fine if I plug in headphones. We have had the beloved 12" iBook G4 open several times as we continue to upgrade it, so it may well be a wire that got roughed up. We've upgraded to the superdrive and are about to put in a new hard drive and more ram so the wire approach to troubleshooting the problem gives us a clue what to look for.

Audio connection issue

Seem to be having an audio connection problem.
When earbuds are plugged in I can hear instrumental part of music, but no voice unless I hold the connector a certain way. It's almost as if one audio channel isn't being heard??
Also, if I move my iPod Touch when plugged into my laptop through USB adapter it disconnects and reconnects until placed back on the desk. It's almost as if there is a connection problem with both inputs??? Anyone have similar issues?

Wohoo! -- I just solved the exact same problem.
Anyways: I could also pair to my headset, but nothing happened when I clicked the links. (I even tried to install Skype to see if that would enable the link, but that didn't help.)
This is what you should do: Disable the Bluetooth radio ("Turn adapter off"). Computer will hang for a while and report a dll hanging. Continue through the dialog box (in effect killing the DLL process).
Start the Bluetooth adapter again, and the links work. Use the VoIP link to use your headset for Lync, Skype, Hangouts or whatever.
