Audio Console/Creative Console Launcher for X-FI Fatal1ty Champi

Hey all, I was just wondering if any of you had the same problem out there. For some reasons all of the sudden, both Audio Console and Creative Console Launcher aren't showing any speaker settings or CMSS-3D at all, as if they were removed from them completely. When i run THX Console it crashes... Is there a way to fix this issue? This is all in Windows Vista 32bit. I'm Using:
P4P800
Pentium 4 2.8 Ghz
2.5 GB of ram
500 GB Sata2 Hard Dri've (Vista installed)
250 GB Sata, 00 GB IDE, & 60 GB IDE Hard Dri'ves (storage)
28 MB ATI Radeon 9800

  • Creative Console Launcher XFi for Win7

    Does anybody have a clue as to if/when creative labs will release Win7 compatible Creative Console Launcher Programs for the X-Fi Cards?
    This thread is intended particularly to be responded by a CL forum admin!

    I understand that you wanted an Admin response. KokChoy has responded so I wanted you to know that I am using the latest console launcher download for the card and it has worked in Windows 7 very very well. If you are wanting a "Certified" one, you are wasting your time as 2.62.00 works with no compatibility issues for me.

  • X-FI AUDIO CONSOLE WILL NOT LAUNCH

    have ran x-fi card fine for 3 months and after re-installing it after moving it for new graphics card the audio console will not launch ! I get the message device not on this computer even though its working fine i just cannot launch the console to adjust settings ! have checked no old drivers left, onboard sound is disabled and device manager says no probs with x-fi card . HELP ME !!!!!!!!!!

    Mine hasn't been resetting....so far. I know mines a Fatalty but sw wise it should be same for all the cards. The only thing I can think of is that it has something to do with option for syncing with control panel. I have that option unchecked in the creative mixer speakers tab. Maybe try disabling it if its currently enabled and see if that stops the resetting. No idea if it will help but thats the only thing I can think of, can't hurt to at least give it a shot.
    Hope it helps

  • Console launcher for 7

    Quote : ?CSL_PCAPP_LB_2_6_09.exe?
    This download contains the Creative Console Launcher application for use with your Sound Blaster? X-Fi? series of audio devices on Microsoft? Windows Vista? and Windows? XP. For more details, read the rest of this web release note.
    The Question is : I want to install Windows 7 on my computer. Is This version of console launcher working on 7?

    I have used Console Launcher under Vista and Windows 7 with no problems. I used to use the Daniel K. package, but now I am running stock software.
    The launcher showed up after using Windows Update. Windows Update installed a Microsoft Certified driver on my system, and then I used AutoUpdate. It found the Console Launcher,etc. They installed fine. The two things that did not install quite as easily were the Dolby and DTS Connect packs. For those, they gave an error message. I simply right clicked those and chose properties and then administrator and VISTA SP. No problems whatsoever.
    The only problem I have is, if you leave DOLBY OR DTS enabled in the tray icon, your system will hang at shutdown.

  • "Setup has found a newer version of Creative Console Launcher on your system. Setup will now exit"

    This is the error message I get every time I try to install the Creative Console Launcher version 2.61.35 for my Creative X-Fi Titanium.
    I have uninstalled EVERYTHING, multiple times. All Creative applications, drivers, etc. Restarted in safe mode, ran driversweeper, restarted and re-installed.. No dice.
    I even downloaded CCleaner and had it nuke my registry in case it detected some files that might be causing problems.
    The weird thing is that I don't know how it is detecting a newer version of the launcher. The reason being is because the only launcher I ever installed was the one that came on the physical CD with my soundcard. The only other things I have downloaded and installed were:
    Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium Driver 2.17.0008
    DTS Connect Pack 1.03.08
    Dolby Digital Live Pack 3.00.06
    I also downloaded and ran the registry fixes that supposedly corrects the audio stuttering when DDL is enabled (I have experienced a lot of crackling/popping in Aliens Vs. Predators).
    Anyways, I can apparently access the control panel just fine, but I like the launcher, and it's frustrating not being able to install it. This all started when I wanted to upgrade my driver, so I uninstalled everything before I upgraded, then when I went to reinstall the launcher, I got that message.
    Help?

    "If the software is installed correctly, and is the right version, then the updater should recognise it when it's installing."
    Why wouldn't the software be installed correctly? I double-click on the installer .exe file and follow the instructions. If it doesn't work, fire whoever coded it!
    More seriously, these problems are all caused by Creative's ignorant policies on their software installation restrictions. I mean it's Creative Recorder, not ?2000 worth of software here - why so bloody protecti've about which PC it will install on for God's sake?
    Example algorithm for installation limited to Creative cards only: Check SBLi've! installed. Check Creative Recorder existing install. If existing, check version, and update. If not existing, install full version. Exit. Happy customer.
    Creative seem unable to follow the above logic. 666% Ignorant. I won't be buying them again.
    All the clean install instructions I have read on this site are FLAWED. They either a)require the original CD (WHY?! it's for Windows XP, wasn't even OUT when the CD was made!), and/or b)are riddled with mistakes/generalisations about what should work.
    What I'm not seeing here is the truth - Creative make flaky software as their hardware is too good for you to want to upgrade, so this poor software CONS you into thinking you need new hardware. Nice one, waste the planet some more for no help to the consumer. Evil.

  • SB X-FI Surround 5.1-Creative Console Launcher !

    [color="#0000ff" size="3">Hi Everyone,
    [color="#0000ff" size="3">
    [color="#0000ff" size="3">I?recently bought the Sound Blaster X-FI Surround 5. sound card. When I installed the Installation CD which came along with it, it launched a Creative Console Launcher(Software to control Audio-Settings). Yesterday I updated the Creative Console Launcher Software through the Creative Software Auto Update option. I did it thinking that it would give me, it would add some more features to the Creative Console Launcher, but instead it seems when I updated the?latest version of Creative Console Launcher ther are?some features missing, some of the features have been removed from the latest version like for e.g. EAX effects had a lot of options like Amphitheatre, Theatre, Royal Hall etc. All these have been removed and there have been some changes in EQ Effects section also..
    [color="#0000ff" size="3">
    [color="#0000ff" size="3">My question is What is the difference between the Creative Console Launcher which is installed at the time of installing the Installation CD and the Creative Console Launcher which is updated through the Creative Software Auto Update option. Which one should one go for. Which is the best one.
    [color="#0000ff" size="3">Cheers !

    I see. So that's the reason. Since that the software doesn't work on the X-fi surround 5., does that means that using an optical connection wont have any difference with the direct analogue connection?
    By the way, I have a USB X-Fi Surround 5. and the logitech z5500d. Initially, I'm trying to maximise the potential of the speakers using the software and optical connection. Now that the software is not compatible, any suggestion on how to do it's
    Any suggestion on which type of connection to use (digital or analogue)?
    If digital, please provide me with the link to the suitable cable.
    Thanks

  • Creative Console Launcher not working after Vista Ultimate upgr

    I have a Dell XPS700 with the Creative SB X-Fi soundcard and fi've speakers. Surround Sound for MP3, WAV, TV etc Was working great under Win XP Pro SP2. Now, I can't seem to configure the rear speakers. When I go to Start - All Programs - Sound Blaster X-Fi - Creative Console Launcher, I get a "The console for the current mode of your audio device cannot be launched." message and I cannot select the Entertainment Mode.

    Actually, you need to/should update your drivers (Creative *has* Vista-ready drivers for the X-Fi, including a new Audio Console). The only cards that Creative does *not* have Vista drivers for are cards *older* than the base Audigy (the only relati'vely new card affected is the Audigy SE). The base Audigy (in fact, *all* Audigy-series except the SE) has Vista beta drivers available (and a new Audio Console is part of the package).

  • Creative console launcher Titanium HD Win7, not working

    I just purchased the Titanium HD to upgrade from the Xtreme Audio. I have spend the whole day, and I literally mean the whole day on trying to solve;
    "There are no supported audio device available. You need to close the application. Click OK to close the application now."
    When trying to run the Creative console launcher. I have spend countless hours doing the installation all over again and again by different methods. I've tried with the CD in the package, I've tried the latest drivers and software from your website, I've tried to re-insert the sound card several times, I've tried to sweep the drivers with Sweep Driver 3.0 and removed all registry entries, folders and files with my Revo Uninstaller Pro, with no god **bleep** luck.
    At no point in time has the driver not been working. It should be all fine - sshot provided;
    http://www.myupload.dk/showfile/967847ebbe.jpg/
    Sound also works. However, I do get error when installing the driver - sshot provided;
    http://www.myupload.dk/showfile/967850f6ff7.jpg/
    I Googled it and most seem to claim that application is not important and can be disabled. I have Googled the issue so many times, and found many people with the same issue, but who seem to get it working some way or another at the very end..... Just not me...
    Though the card works I cannot access the cards features without it's software, and the card is therefore, basically uselsss. Had I known I'd run into this I would have picked the Asus Xonar Essence by miles! Although I did ask creative for help in an e-mail I'm afriad this is going to have to end up with a dispute between me and the retailer :/

    Your first problem is this:
    You upgraded from one card to the other. Uninstaller or not, you have a ton of remnants left over from that old card.
    Try this for your no supported device:
    no supported device fix
    Reboot, and try again. If this does not work, then install this driver....newest for your card.
    after rebooting, try again.
    If that does not work, then you can manually unzip that driver you downloaded above to a temp folder (that driver is a self extracting executable).
    Then you can go to device manager and choose to update driver and browse the temp folder you made above and update your driver and reboot.
    See if any of these help you.

  • Creative Console Launcher causing stat

    System: 64bit Vista Ultimate, 4gig ram, nVidia 3500, Soundblaster X-FI Fatalty Extreme Gamer Okay, after 4 hours of problems with my initial install posted elswhere, and having a functional restore point once again... I decided to install JUST the Web drivers for my Fatalty andy bypass the CD altogether. I installed the web drivers dated Oct 9th, SBXF_PCDVT_LB_2_5_0002.exe and I got sound working. Great, no hiss, no static, nothing...just good sound. This installed the Creative Audio Console...which although lacked any fancy GUI, (it was a tabbed system window) allowed me to customize the various settings. (only thing missing as I could tell was the Equalizer found in the GUI Launcher) I then installed the Creative Console Launcher CSL_PCAPP_LB_2_40_09.exe (the one with the fancy GUI that makes it look like a mixing board, hi-tech stereo, etc). Once installed and restarted the system, the unbearable constant HISS I've read about came pouring through the speakers right before login...and continued nonstop. I have since rolled back to my system restore before the Console launcher install and all is fine. I'm sharing my observations, in hope that it might help others out with their hiss/static problems. G.

    I do not have the Console Launcher installed and I have static. Glad to see that you found a fix to your issue though. Not to mention I run an Intel board and the X-Fi sits on its own IRQ. I have come down to a decision that it is either the driver, faulty hardware, or a memory addressing issue.

  • Creative Console Launcher - what's the difference?

    What additional features does Creative Console Launcher have compared to the creative audio control panel that is installed with the driver automatically? It seems that the panel has all the main settings available. Why would anyone want to use the "console launcher" (funny name for such an app) instead?
    The OS is Win XP Pro SP3 x86 and the card is PCI Express X-Fi Titanium Fatalty Pro Series.

    with the audio control panel you can't control the eq at all and you cant control the sample rate in audio creation mode but you can control the sample rate for game mode which is not possible with console launcher.

  • Creative console crashes on launch - X-FI Fatal1ty / Wi

    Good evening -
    To my great distress (as I found it enormously useful for sampling from Youtube, DVDs etc.), Creative console has recently started crashing immediately on launch in Audio Creation mode. I'm using an X-FI Fatalty on WinXP to record and manipulate sound, and also use Wavelab and Soundforge 7 (I make 'old-school' industrial music).
    I can still record via the card within Wavelab and run my other music software as normal.
    I have updated drivers and also applied the recent Microsoft fix for this sound card from Windows Update. I can't attempt a clean boot at present as the DVD dri've has also died (probably mechanical failure going by the sounds it makes).
    Anyone encountered this before?
    Cheers

    N Hrmf... the console lights up, and audio comes out the headphone plug, (only responds when I lower\increase the wave volume) and I can't get the IR reci'ver to work, the controlls on the console doesn't work either.....
    Ive tried with and without the 5,25" IO thingy connected to the sound card..

  • Creative Console Launcher doesn't work with Windows 8

    I trying to install Creative Console Launcher on Windows 8 x64,but i get the following error:

    Unsupported with Windows 8! Without this program,my headphones Tiamat 7.1,work without bass!
    Sorry for bad english,i hope you understand me!Thank you!

    See:
    *https://support.mozilla.org/kb/windows-media-or-other-plugins-stopped-working
    There has been a change in where Firefox searches for plugins and the plugins folder in the Firefox program folder is no longer scanned for plugins, so Firefox won't find them anymore if they are installed in the plugins folder instead of the "browser\plugins" folder that Firefox now scans.
    You can set the plugins.load_appdir_plugins pref to true on the about:config page to make Firefox scan the "<install>/plugins/" directory for plugins like the WMP plugin (np-mswmp.dll).
    You can alternatively move plugins from "<install directory>\plugins\" to "<install directory>\browser\plugins\" (create this folder when missing) to make Firefox find them again.

  • XFI Titanium high dpc latency after installing creative console launcher

    HXFI Titanium high dpc latency after installing creative console launcher=im using windows 7 64 bit sp(rtm) this also happens with normal windows 7 64 bit(without sp).
    when only installing the driver for the XFI titanium my dpc latency is between 0-50 with spikes that go to 90.
    this also happens when I don't have any drivers installed.(windows high definition default driver)
    however when I install the creative console launcher my dpc latency is allways above 00 and most of the time between 00-200 with spikes to +-400.
    im using PAX PCIe Titanium ALL OS Driver V3.25, and creative console launcher 2.6.49 beta.
    my question is can I use game mode without installing the console launcher?
    is there a version of the console launcher that doesn't cause higher dpc latency?

    Maybe a bad driver mod. Try Creative own drivers/CD first and see what happens.

    the microphone tab used to be between the "SPDIF/O" and "Digital I/O".
    I DO USE THE LATEST DRIVERS, and i have tried several times to completly swipe all drivers and reinstall them but no luck, same **bleep**. i also tested it before i updated the drivers from 07, to 08.
