Audio controls missing from stage

Hi all first post, just started with Edge.
So I am working to incorporate audio narration clips into a photo slideshow with Edge, and got 90% there using this tutorial by Paul Traniby:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z2LhLG2Wvus
Whereas he is able to manipulate the audio control bar on the edge stage and even keyframe it's opacity, I do not see this element at all on my stage.
Any thoughts as to why?
Thanks,
Craig

Hi, Craig-
Did you start off with the audio tag in your HTML like Paul does in the first 35 seconds of his tutorial?
Thanks,
-Elaine

  • PPro CS4 - half of audio is missing from exported files

    Hi all.
I'm currently working on a project in PPro CS4, and by that I mean that I've already completed the project. It was exported and uploaded to youtube for my boss, no problems. Then he asked me to combine the two videos, so I copied the second half of the video and pasted it onto the first half's sequence. The settings I used for the two sequences were the same. When I play the video in PPro everything works fine. When I export the video, however, the audio is missing from the second half of the video (the half I copied). The second half audio is on the same track as the first half of the audio, so the audio levels on the exported video should be exactly the same.
I've been browsing the forums and looking at troubleshooting pages but I still haven't found a solution to the problem. The video is intact; only the second half of the audio is missing. I have no idea why it's doing this or how to fix it.
    I'd appreciate any input.

Yes, if he is exporting one file of video and audio then either the entire track is exported
or only the work area bar is exported for both video and audio. If he is exporting video and audio separately THEN they might be different lengths.
You might right-click the audio for the second section and select Audio to see if it is muted.
Try exporting the audio alone without video, listen to the audio in Windows Medica player and listen if all or only half of it exported. If all of it exported, then that narrows the problem.
You might try creating a new Sequence and pasting the video and audio into the new Sequence (don't just duplicate the sequence, that may just duplicate the problem). Then export and see if that circumvented the problem.
What format are you exporting to?

  • Audio file missing from MOV when exported as a quicktime movie.

Using Keynote 9, I imported video into presentation that was edited in iMovie 9.  When I export the presentation to quicktime movie the audio is missing from the video file.  The audio file plays fine in the standard keynote presentation mode.

This is STRICTLY a work around!  Official fix will come from Apple as an update more than likely.
Duplicate item first (File > Duplicate). On newly duplicated project change file association type (File > get info). Under name and extension section take out .key). Close Get Info and save with removing .key.  Double click to open the file (now a compression).  Open uncompressed folder (same name as original file, now shows as a folder).  Now in the Data folder find a .mov file named "Recording" with randomly generated letters and numbers behind it.  Drag .mov file to desktop or any other directory. Open extracted .mov file with QuickTime to verify integrity. Save as audio file only.  Get Info on file again and place .key value at end of file/extension for project. Open project. Under Play menu option delete the recording.   Under Audio inspector drag the .mov of audio only to recording back in. Test play project to see if its accurate.  Export to QuickTime and see if issue is resolved.
    If issue persists:
Export with corrupted audio as QuickTime.  Separate the audio from video track.  Delete audio.  Import the extracted .mov audio file.  Share > File. Enjoy.

  • EXS 24 audio files missing from G4 to mac Pro. Export solves, but why?

Hi. I recently upgraded from G4 DP to Mac Pro (huge jump). While some of my sample libraries work straight away...others do not, claiming "file not found" when I know they're there.
A cure that works is to go back to the G4, load the files into EXS24 there, export them to my external drive and then run the mac pro off this. The "export" seems to be the critical step and seems to re-create the apparently missing audio files.
It's very slow as can only do one at a time. Is there something obvious I'm missing here?
    All thoughts welcome
    Jonathan

I have this too and I haven't been able to find any info on the net about this.
I have no audio transitions or effects at all.  Would love to find out how to fix this.

  • Audio Completely Missing from One Clip

I have been working on a project for several days. When I transferred from working on my laptop to my desktop, working via an external hard drive, one of the clips audio is completely missing. It was there today but now it is gone. It is not in the source window, the wavefroms are not shown on the timeline sequence, it is not on the audio panel and it is not in the audio track mixer. The original file still has audio, I am able to watch it via VLC and the sound is there. I replaced the clip with the original but the same problem persists. I checked the audio channels in modify but nothing there seems wrong. No other clip is having this problem.

It is working now. I went to the source file and changed its name then relocated it so PP could find it. No idea why this happend.

  • How do I find audio files missing from Mainstage?

Having downloaded mainstage additional content I find a number of wave files are missing. Example Exs24 'Full Strings Legato.exs' audio file KB-L_legato_p_A(hash)1.wav. How can I find and download them?

I've downloaded it twice already. You can't download what is not there.

  • Audio transitions missing from CS6 for mac

When I go in the effects window and click on the audio transition bin nothing appears.
Are the files there but because of a glitch i cant see them or are the files missing?
I guess I need to get something to fix the glitch if that or where can i find the missing files to download?
Oh and I added Adobe premiere pro CS6 through a download through amazon.com

I have this too and I haven't been able to find any info on the net about this.
I have no audio transitions or effects at all.  Would love to find out how to fix this.

  • DTS HD audio is missing from .m2ts file

I am learning how to use Premiere Pro by extracting the musical numbers from a commercial blu-ray disk (which I purchased).  The master .m2ts files are fine, playing nicely in the appropriate player.  The .m2ts file audio is encoded with DTS HD-MA.  However when I bring the .m2ts file into Premiere Pro or Encore CS5 there is no audio.  In the browser by the thumbnail I see the video described (1920 x 1080 (1.0), 23.976 fps, but there is no audio description. Playing the preview I see the video without any audio.   I'm using a 12 cpu  MacPro August 2010, 48 gb ram.
One possibility might be that I am lacking DTS-HD support.  However I was hoping that there might be some way to simply extract the clip from the master .m2ts file with the original audio, and then generate a new file just copying the master audio track (clipped), without processing.
My goal is to transfer the clips to a PS3 in order to play the clips with the original audio bitrate (4-5 mbps).  Is this possible?  Unfortunately the PS3 has the same problem, it also plays the .m2ts file without the audio.

Better use material you shot yourself, or get the original material from the copyright owner. As you noticed DTS is not supported, but the company that has given you (written) permission to edit their material may have the audio in an editable format.

  • Audio tracks missing from footage

I was working on a project in the trial version using some footage I shot, and after I switched over to the full version, the audio tracks had completely disappeared. Moreover, much of the footage is listed as 'media offline' in the project itself, but when I reinsert the footage in a new project, it works just fine (except for the audio).
    Please help!

  • Data Controls Missing From View Controller Tab

    Good Afternoon,
I have researched for hours over the internet and this forum but have not found an answer. My problem is this:
I am using JDeveloper Studio Edition Version 11.1.2.1.0. In my ViewController project no Data Controls are displayed in the Data Controls tab. No matter what I do they are not coming back. I have refreshed, closed, and re-deployed multiple times (As well as multiple other attempts!). I also checked the DataBindings.cpx file. I have been having this problem for DAYS.
When I try to run my page I get the following exception:
    Error processing viewId: /home URI: /WEB-INF/pages/home.jspx actual-URI: /fragments/myTask/myTaskEdit.jsff.
oracle.jbo.NoObjException: JBO-25003: Object TaskAMDataControl of type DataControl is not found.
Does anyone know what to do to have the DataControls display in the Data Controls tab of the View Controller again?
    Kind Regards
    n0vice

n0vice, is the model project holding the TaskAMDataControl part of the same workspace?
If yes, open the viewControllers project properties and select the 'dependencies' node. There you should see the model jpr file in the 'dependend projects or archives' section. If not click the pencil and add it.

  • Core Audio SDK missing from XCode 4?

Just installed XCode 4 for Lion and I'm not seeing the ability to create an Audio Unit in the startup wizard. There's nothing to do with Core Audio available on the developer downloads page.

Sorry not sure what you're suggesting I do here?
I've just moved my /Developer directory out of the way and re-run "Install Xcode.app", and I'm still not able to choose Audio Unit in the startup wizard.
I can choose Image Unit, but that's no good to me
    Thanks

  • Audio suddenly missing from an unfinished slide show...???

I am in the process of making my first video slide show in Photoshop CS6.  I get to the end and lose my audio. I must have accidently turned something off. The sound was there the entire time I was rearranging and spacing the pictures to the songs. now the audio is off????  I see the audio layer, the mute buttons are not on, I have restarted Photoshop and the computer, the speakers are on....????? I have video clips with sound in this slide show.  when pulled up independently of the slide show, they also no longer have sound.
This is the third (and last) time I have posted this question.  I am not only frustrated with my program, I am frustrated with this website.  Each time after posting my question I see my question for a brief second and then the website automatically redirects to the sign in screen (which I have to re sign in?) This is all very frustrating when all I wanted was a phone number to call someone about this.
    What am I doing wrong?

We can't know. Your info is at best vague. With no system info, no details about your audio, no screenshots etc. simply nobody can help you plus doing so would yield best results in the right forum in the first place - the one for PS.

  • AVI  files audio is missing in iPhoto library

Suddenly all my audio is missing from my avi files in my iPhoto library.
The only thing that has changed is I recently updated to the latest version of iMovie, which now
shows thumbnails of iPhoto video. It took about 30 minutes to generate the
thumbnails and since then the audio is gone. Anyone know what could have happened and what I can
do to restore the audio to my avi files? Thanks

What version of Quicktime are you running? If you haven't update to QuickTime 7.5 updater and then try the movies again.
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto (iPhoto.Library for iPhoto 5 and earlier) database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger or later), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 6 and 7 libraries and Tiger and Leopard. Just put the application in the Dock and click on it whenever you want to backup the dB file. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.
Note: There now an Automator backup application for iPhoto 5 that will work with Tiger or Leopard.

  • Audio and Video option missing from Export Quicktime Movie Include

Today as I was exporting a clip, I noticed that the Audio and Video option was missing from the Include drop down. I only have the options of Left, Center, Right.
I highlight the sequence, control E (or File>Export>Quicktime Movie) and the Save window comes up. The Settings drop down is the same, the Markers: drop down is the same, but the Include: has the options of Left, Center and Right. I thought the Video and Audio dropdowns were always there. I hate to admit it, but I have not paid attention to them in a while. Getting old I guess.

    Thanks, forgot about that.
For what ever reason it started working correctly a couple of hours later, after I started an SD project. The video came out fine
I had been trying out a couple new applications, so maybe one was causing it. I will see if it happens in the future.

Hope all this suggests a solution...
    Thanks for your help, all...
    T

Thanks for all this information, T.
So why are you editing a 1440x1080 video in a 1920x1080 project? If this is AVCHD footage, it's very important to use the right project settings.
That has no effect on your audio, of course. But it could affect your video quality when you output your file.
That say, can you explain what you mean by "Audio missing from save project"?
Do you mean that you don't hear the audio in Premiere Elements -- or that you don't hear it when you output, say, an MOV or WMV file?
What file format are you exporting and what are you playing soundless this file on?
And, finally, is there no audio whatsoever, or is only some audio (music, for instance) missing from your output?
