Audio Converter turns all songs into 00:00:00 len

All the mp3s I converted to 64kbps wma turned into songs with 00:00:00 length, with a couple exceptions. Is there any way to gain back the lengths of each of them, or will I be stuck listening to them without being able to skip around when I transfer them to my Zen Micro? :-/
Thanks.

Do I have to re-convert them into another unmonitered folder in order for them to retain their song lengths?
Thanks for the reply.
Yes, I found that if you convert them into another un-monitored folder, the track length will be correct. It may be a bug of the Media Sniffer.
After the conversion, you can then move the converted files to the monitored folders.
That's it! It works now. Thanks a bunch! What a weird bug in the software.
To the previous poster: Windows Media Player displayed the correct song lengths, but Creative Organizer AND Creative Zen (the player) would display the 0:00 song length so I couldn't skip around them. It would only play from start to finish with no way of fast-forwarding.

Generally, in iTunes, all you need to do is fill in an appropriate Album Artist to keep things together. For older iPods each track from the same album should have the same artist, or be marked as a compilation where appropriate. For iOS devices you may need to go to Settings > Music > Group By Album Artist > On.
For more details see my article on Grouping Tracks Into Albums, in particular the topic One album, too many covers.

  • Anyway to turn all tracks into audio all at once without bouncing

I have old sessions using midi samples from old hard drive. I would like to make all tracks audio before retiring the Hard drive

You could use the Export function "all tracks to Audio data" (to be found at the bottom of Save menue). This will transform your Midi Instruments into Audio (it ignores the Automation though).

  • Anyone can teach me how to convert my MP3 song into Ringtone on my iPhone 5

Anyone could teach me how to convert my MP3 music in my iPhone 5 into Ringtone?

You can't do this directly within the device. Your media needs to be in an iTunes library on your computer. See Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device if necessary.
    Select your song.
On the Get Info > Options tab set start and stop times less than 40 seconds apart.
Under Edit > Preferences > General tab > Import Settings choose AAC Encoder > High Quality 128k.
Right-click on the song and select Create AAC version.
Reset the start and stop times on the original track.
Right-click on the new copy and click Show in Windows Explorer.
Change the file extension from .m4a to .m4r. (You may need to adjust folder options to see the extensions)
Move the file into the Automatically Add to iTunes folder.
Delete the broken entry to the file that you renamed and moved.

  • 5.6 raw converter turns pure white into purple

i bought a canon 7D in early october and i still can't use PS cs4 to convert my raw files -- even the newest version (5.6) turns the highlights *purple*
has anyone else noticed this? is there a workaround? will adobe fix it soon? i hope so -- that's why i'm posting this in "feature requests."
please help -- i really need to get my workflow back!!!

Is this an sRAW or mRAW?  The beta 7D support in ACR 5.5 had an issue with regular RAW format, and ACR 5.6RC still has a problem with at least sRAWs.
Eric (MadManChan) at Adobe is aware of sRAWs still not working right:

  • I am new to this how do I turn a song into a ringtone?

I have never owned an ipod and just purchased an iphone.  I want to make one of my songs a ringtone.  How do I do that on the itunes page.  Also I downloaded some songs I had on another site's playlist.  It allowed me to put some of those songs on my ipod but it is not allowing others.  How do I get the new songs to sync?

Google will find several way to create iphone ringtones.

  • How to convert iTunes songs into MIDI files?

I want to copy an iTunes song and convert the copied song into a MIDI file. How do I do this?

    Can't be done...
A MIDI file is a set of instuctions for making music. Play this note, then, for that long, on this particular instrument, with these settings. Multiplied by as many notes and instruments as are required. A MIDI file can be turned into music automatically. Turning music into the instructions to make it is, as far as I am aware, beyond the capabilities of current software.

  • Is there a way to transfer all songs off of an ipod and not just purchases?

I recently purchased an MSI wind netbook, with windows xp home. I was wondering if there is a way to import all songs into the itunes library? I have all of my songs on a gateway solo, but I screwed that computer up and have never gotten around to fixing it. I enabled disk mode on the ipod, and accessed the hidden files on the ipod. I can get to all of my songs, but their names are all four capitol letters. I could copy them all to a new folder and then import them, but this would be only as a last resort as I dont have the patience to spend 5 hours organizing the songs. Please help!

    Welcome to AD!
You can try these Apple directions

Or buy a 3rd-party ipod manager such as CopyTrans.

  • Song glitches with audio crossfade turned on

With audio crossfade turned on, after a song finishes and it fades out/into the next song, occasionally the next song will have a glitch in the beginning part of the song. When hitting the << button to restart this song, the glitch would not be there. It seems worse when the file type and/or bit rate is different from song to song (i.e., an AAC file at 320 kbps followed by a MP3 file at 128 kbps). With audio crossfade turned off, these glitches don’t happen. Has anyone else noticed this?

No, it doesn't happen all the time and since I listen to all songs in shuffle mode, I haven't been able to get a good sense of repeatability with the same tracks. I will have to try that out and play a set of songs in the same order several times and see if there is a pattern. But being a little suspicious of the varying bit rates from song to song, I had done an experiment since my original post. I made a new playlist right on the nano (which was very easy to do, better than how an on-the-go playlist is made on previous nanos) which contained songs that were all AAC audio files at 320 kbps. When playing that playlist with crossfade on, I didn't hear any glitches. I don't use the voiceover feature, so I don't know whether any track announcements would have any glitches. Do you think that turning on the voiceover feature would be worth a try to see if the glitches occur there too and to rule out any issues with the audio files themselves?

  • HT201272 How do I turn a purchased song into a ringtone without repurchasing the song?

How do I turn a purchased song into a ringtone without repurchasing the song?

    This isn't possible.
The song's copyright holder would charge more for it if it was being played on multiple devices at once but overlooks the remote possibility that any given person would be playing the full song on two or more devices at the same time; there's much more chance of that happening if the song is converted into a ringtone, so they charge more.

  • Audio CD burning error- I opted for importing songs into iTunes as MP3

    Hi,
Before I started importing songs into iTunes, I chose int eh iTunes preferences to import all songs as MP3, as I wanted the option of being able to burn CDs to play on my car MP3 player.
When I tried to burn a CD, I got an error message that these songs could not be burnt onto the CD. This had the option where I could see all the errors and the list was of all the songs that I was trying to burn.
BTW, I created a new playlist, dragged the required songs to this playlist from the library and pressed the burn disc option.
What am I doing wrong? Could it be that the drive is faulty?

First of all, how long is the total time of all songs? If it is more than 80 minutes, you can't record to the CD as an audio CD. If that is the case, and you say you have an MP3 cd player in your car... you might want to try burning to the disc as an MP3 CD. Go to iTunes preferences, then click "Advanced," then "Burning" and you'll see an option for "MP3 CD." Click that, and then when you burn the disc, you can put as many songs as will fit onto the disc.
Also, rewritable CDs aren't any better... as a matter of fact, a lot of audio CD players can't read them. A regular CD-R should be fine, even one rated at 40x speed.
