I dont hear sounds if I connect my Amplifier by HDMI. In BeatsAudio amplifier is double the same is in Device Menager.  Before was only one Amplifier device now show double amplifier device and no sound.
I try uninstall Amplifier and restart but dont work.
Please help me. Many Thanks

Hello Emilinator,
I understand that your sound is not working with your HDMI.
Go to start search sound.
Select sound.
Right click HDMI and set as default.
If you do not see the HDMI, right click any device and select show disabled devices.
Click OK
Let me know how everything goes.

That is an indication that the Skype extension isn't working properly.<br />
You can force an extension to install, but that doesn't mean that the extension will work, so you need to remove Skype and wait for an update.

  • Default audio device resets to HDMI

I have recently installed arch (again) and this time I used Pulseaudio. I have always used ALSA before. Now I cant get my system to remember Internal analog audio as my default audio device. It resets to HDMI at every boot/login.
I have followed the pulse audio examples guide. Defaulting to an analog output source But that results in no sound at all.
I am clearly doing something wrong but cant figure out what.

  • PRE8  Some MPEG's dont play sound?

I have created 50 mpg files. Three of them dont have sound when played on my Vista HP [Media Player 11] and WIN7 HP [Media player 12] machines, but all play fine on my WIN-XP Dell [Media player 11]. On my Samsung netbook [Win 7 starter] they didnt play at all. After loading some codec, I now get picture, but no sound. My conclusion is that these 3 files of 50 are some how flawed, but the XP version or it's Codec are more forgiving. Another point is if I import these flawed? MPG's back into PRE8, the audio tracks look good and play in Premiere. When I make a new MPG using the bad files, then I get a new MPG that plays everywhere.
So, what went wrong with these 3 files? They were created on the Vista box, which has only one 500GB drive and 3GB ram.
I really dont like to do the same thing and get different results. Most important: How do I prevent errors like this?

My sources are DVDs, from which I had only the VOB files. Some of the problem DVDs had a brief message about indexing and conforming audio. These DVDs were made by my son-in-law on some machine that made DVDs from tapes played on his camcorders. I would normally use the original or an AVI copy of it. The analog tape data is now only available from the VOB files.  Some of the later digital data, I can go back and get from the tapes. My real worry is about ongoing problems. I have had no problems with the AVIs, but the are 4 times the size. I had thought to end up with mpgs on files that I never plan to edit again.  My longer goal is to put copies on removeable drives like 1TB WD passport, which I can put in the safety depoist box.
In terms of being sure that these files can be played, does Adobe have download for codec that work with the files PRE8 generates?
I have just upgraded from PSE 8 to CS5 and am thinking to buy a new box. I am not a big video user, but am upgrading my Nikon D80 to a D90, which can take HD vid.  I am thinking I will get an Intel I7, Win7-64. I think I can afford 8-12GB ram. I guess for the video , should think about at least two HDs. Is a stand alone NVIDIA needed for Photoshop, or mainly for the video?  That seems to bump up the size of the power supply.
This is tough on an old guy, so any help would be great.

  • HDMI Stopped playing sound through tv?

I've been using my HDMI 12 months and its aways worked perfectly but today, it stopped playing sound through the tv. I have gone onto the sound play back options as suggested on this sight but the HDMI option isn't showing and when I go on the speakers and headphones option it won't let me click the set default option. I haven't done anything new to my lap top, so not sure why its all of a sudden stopped working. Any advice on how I can get the sound back ?

Nope  not yet. I have looked at other simular questions on here and their solutions won't work for me. only put it up today so fingers crossed, some one with have a answer.

  • Media Center Keeps playing audio when connected to HDMI

I have LCD TV connected to may laptop.
The media center keeps playing audio sound when the HDMI sound output is enable.
    Laptop: CQ35-214TX
    OS: Windows 7

This is one of the BIGGEST reasons why I would want to take my PC and chuck it into the nearest heavily traveled lane of traffic and watch it get completely destroyed by any vehicle that runs over it then go buy a MAC. The idiocy involved in doing such a simple task is revolting.
FIrstly, and in no way am I directing my ire at you specifically, I have already performed almost everything you have listed for me to try... PREVIOUS to me posting this cry for help.
Secondly, I included a screen shot of the sound devices in my first post and indicated that my display driver/device is  Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000. Beyond that, I don't know what you are looking for.
Thirdly, and most frustrating, the document you told me to "follow every single word of instruction" (which I have previously done) doesn't even tell me to connect the laptop to the TV. It talks about the different kinds of connections but never actually TELLS me to connect the laptop to the TV and WHEN to do it.
When I connected my laptop to my TV for the first time it never tried to load ANY drivers. HOWEVER, it does show "PANASONIC TV" (the brand of my TV) and the monitor type in the resolution dialog. But it also show no other type of monitor.
The biggest issue I can see is that there is NO DRIVER LISTED FOR THE HDTV AUDIO in the sound devices. Therefore how could it transmit audio via the HDMI cable since it doesn't seem to even recognize it?
I am at my wits end. And I have NO INTENTION OF PAYING SOMEONE TO MAKE THIS WORK!!!! There is NO reason why it should not work upon conection of the HDMI cable.
What the hell is wrong with HP (or any other PC manufacturer - and Microsoft, as well) when the simple task of connecting a laptop to a TV is so complex and convoluted. And, by the way, I am an electrical engineer with multiple degrees... And this doesn't make sense to me!!! For pity's sake, can someone please give me a simple solution to what should be a simple issue??!!

  • Final Cut/quicktime dont play sound while other programs do

My video camera records MPGs onto its hard drive. I put these MPGs on a Mac and the videos are fine, but there is no sound when i play the videos in quicktime or final cut pro.
If i play the MPGs in VLC, both the video and sound work on the Mac. When i play the MPGs on a PC, the sound/video work in every program.
I had this problem once before, and someone nearby (i was in a computer lab) fixed the problem for me by clicking or unclicking some option.
Please help - I want to edit the footage, but its hard without sound- thanks!

the audio and video are "muxed" in these MPG's, Final Cut Pro does not work natively with this format.
you need to "demux" the files and/or preferably, transcode to a more edit compliant codec.
try the free MPEG Streamclip application which can do any of this for you

Audigy shares IRQ with IDE controller and firewire controller. This is not good.
NOTE: I suppose you're running your PC on "Standard PC" -mode (since IRQ's >5 not showing). If so, you can try to assign IRQ for the PCI slot, Audigy is installed, manually from BIOS. See your motherboard manual page 4-26.
Can you check if your PC is running as "Standard PC" and not as "ACPI Uniprocessor PC" (Device Manager --> Computer). Make it "ACPI Uniprocessor PC" --> you get more IRQs (virtual) in use.
NOTE: You may need to reinstall OS to get this done.
Also you may need to enable APIC mode on BIOS.
    How To:
    A) Go to 'Device Manager' a short cut to get there is "Right Click" on the My computer Icon on your desktop (Control Panel --> System --> Hardware),
    B) Next click on 'Computer', then double click on 'Standard PC'. Then select 'Driver' and then 'Update Driver'.
    C) At this point you will see a screen pop up asking you to do this "Automatically" or Select 'Display a list of the known drivers for this device', - Choose this option.
    D) Next you will see - 'Show all hardware of this device class'. Now you can select "ACPI Uniprocessor PC" in the list shown in the window to the right.
    E) Now Windows needs/will re-start and re-install all hardware/ settings needed to run in this configuration.

  • IDT HD Audio device missing. Drivers don't install.

    Product Name:
HP Pavilion HPE h8-1214 Desktop PC
    Product Number: QW701AA
    OS: Windows 8 Pro x64
No audio Device installed. (unless i connect any usb audio devices or my hdmi from graphics card). When any of those are connected it does recognize them.
    System Changes -
    Power Supply - 600W Thermaltake
Graphics Card - EVGA GeForce GTX 660
    PCI - USB 3.0 - PCI Card
Storage - Added intel 520 series SSD 180GB. Recovered entire system onto it and formatted 1.5TB HDD for storage.
    Chassis - Coolermaster HAF-XB
I have tried installing SP59424 from HP support but it will not install.
After extracting files and asking if i want to install the driver it reads "IDT High Definition Driver" - "Your system does not meet the minimum requirements for this update. Update has been cancelled. (9996)
I have tried downloading the codec/driver at plenty of other sites with no luck, i even tried rolling back to windows 7 and installing the win7 original driver, same problem. All this time of course running as an administrator. I have also COMPLETELY formatted all my drives, restored using my HP restore discs from last year and still no audio. I did also try uninstalling all audio devices, (webcam/usb headset/graphics card) i put my old DVI-only graphics card in and still no luck.
I read in the motherboard spec that if a sound card is installed the onboard is disabled. So i rid of all possible audio except the onboard. Last but not least I also updated the BIOS to the most recent, (listed under windows 7 x64 support) the BIOS has NO option for integrated audio. It is supposed to be under advanced but it is not anywhere in the BIOS.
Please help, i have spent the last 4 days trying to get this working.
    This question was solved.

Hello soriano7709.  I understand you're unable to get your sound card to install.
Has the sound card ever worked?  How long have you had this PC?
Did this computer originally have Windows 8 installed?
Have you tried running HP Support Assistant to see if it is able to install your driver?  If you do not have HP Support Assistant installed you'll need to install the HP Software Framework as well as HP Support Assistant.
I'd also like you to verify that the device is being detected by your computer by providing me the Hardware IDs for the device.  Try the following.
From either the Metro or Desktop views press the Windows+X key combination.  This opens the "Context Menu."
    Select "Device Manager."
Expand every section.  Look for any devices that are named "Unknown" or "Other."  You should also look for any devices which have a yellow exclamation point beside them.  If your sound card is listed in the "Sound, video, and game controllers" section then select it specifically.
Right click on the device and select "Properties."
    Navigate to the "Details" tab.
Select "Hardware Ids" from the drop-down menu.
    Post these here.
I'll keep an eye out for your response.  I hope you have a great day!
Please click the white star under my name to give me Kudos as a way to say "Thanks!"
Click the "Accept as Solution" button if I resolve your issue.

  • Trouble with audio devices

I wrote a simple Java application to record audio on some mixer and then play it back. With my headphones / microphone connected, I got the following list of mixers:
    1. Primary Sound Driver : Direct Audio Device: DirectSound Playback
    2. Microsoft LifeChat LX-3000 : Direct Audio Device: DirectSound Playback
    3. SoundMAX HD Audio : Direct Audio Device: DirectSound Playback
    4. Primary Sound Capture Driver : Direct Audio Device: DirectSound Capture
    5. Microsoft LifeChat LX-3000 : Direct Audio Device: DirectSound Capture
    6. SoundMAX HD Audio : Direct Audio Device: DirectSound Capture
    7. Java Sound Audio Engine : Software mixer and synthesizer
    8. Port Microsoft LifeChat LX-3000 : Port Mixer
    9. Port SoundMAX HD Audio : Port Mixer
Of these, mixers 2, 5 and 8 are not available when the headphones are detached, as expected.
Now my problem is that when the headphones are not connected, any audio being played out through the sound card can be recorded through mixers 4 and 6 above. This includes sounds created by the operating system, any audio files being played out etc. However, when I connect my headphones, the audio at the microphones can be recorded through mixers 4 and 5 above but any audio produced by the computer (again, sounds produced by the OS, audio files being played out etc.) cannot be recorded at any mixer. I tried mixer 6 above without success.
Is it not possible to record computer audiio when a microphone is connected? If it is, how?

There is no simple way to record sound in Java, AFAIU.

Significant question. Are you interested in getting this code to work for the machine you sit in front of, or is this for 'the general end user'?
I have no general solution for the latter, but for a single machine, installing an 'audio loop-back' (either software or hardware) might be the answer. That is the most intelligent thing I can offer that might help get around this problem.

  • Windows 7 x64 USB AUDIO DEVICE - Device Not Working - Mac Pro

I have a mac pro early 2009. I had vista x64 installed, everything was great. I had 2 audio devices under device manager, one was listed as HD (digital) and one device was listed as analog audio.
When I played games and wanted the external speakers (using the digital out connection) I had the HD (digital) audio device enabled.
When I played games and wanted to use a headphone/microphone combo, I had the analog audio device enabled.
Switching between the two was as easy as clicking the audio device icon and clicking on whichever device I wanted.
Now that I installed windows 7 x64, I have a HD (optical out) device in device manager and it works perfectly. Unfortunately, I also have another device listed called "USB Audio Device" and it shows a yellow exclamation mark next to it and it is NOT working properly.
I tried many suggestions on here, which included downloading the cirrus logic audio driver and picking different models, as well as trying the snow leopard install disk driver for cirrus logic, and even tried installing the realtek analog driver. The closest I got to getting anything to work was installing the realtek analog driver. It installed fine up to the point when windows said "this driver is not tested, do you wish to install it anyway?" and I click yes, but then it pauses for a few seconds and the same message comes up again and repeats in a endless loop until you say "no, do not install driver" and then it does a uninstall of the driver.
Has anyone else experienced this problem and if so were you able to fix it?
    Thanks

I found Gigabyte has links to latest updates which work fine.
Treat Mac Pro as just a dual Xeon PC.

Realtek High Definition Audio for Vista\Win 7 2.54

    Realtek HD Audio Windows 7
Or from Realtek which is http://218.210.127.131/

You can ignore USB audio, you want RealTek HD Audio. There are or can be some of those yellow alerts that are safe to ignore. Buried somewhere in Apple Support BootCamp technotes.
You can use installer from Realtek or zip file in which case just uncompress and update the driver from inside Device Manager. Nice thing, you can rollback a driver if you want to, or totally uninstall and then reinstall.

  • "No Audio Device" after uninstall onboard video

"No Audio Device" says WinXP Pro sp3's "Sound and Audio Devices Properties".
I think this started when I installed a first video card in my Presario SR1913WM motherboard's PCI-e slot.
Before installing the video card drivers, I took some advice to uninstall the onboard video.
Now I have no audio.  Should I re-install the NVIDIA drivers for the motherboard's GeForce 6150 LE?
I figure if I do, then I can re-install the Realtek drivers; I uninstalled them today thinking I could install them as I did a couple years ago (but now MS Update isn't offering me any Realtek drivers).
And should I uninstall the listing in Device Manager for "AMD High Definition Audio Device" (I suspect this might be from the video card's drivers)?
    Here are the SR1913WM specs.
    This question was solved.

    Hi:
I noticed on the specs you posted for your new video card, it has an HDMI out port, correct?
Well, what happened is your PC thinks you not only installed a new video card but also a new audio card and it disabled the onboard video and the onboard audio. You video card has an onboard HDMI audio chip (the AMD HD audio is for the HDMI).
So, all you need to do is go into the BIOS, and find the onboard audio setting.
It will either be set to Auto or Disabled.
Change the setting to Enabled. Save it by hitting the F10 key at that point and again when you exit the BIOS (save settings and exit).
Upon reboot, all will be well again.

  • Mini and osx no longer recognizing firewire audio device

i have an m-audio firewire solo hooked up to my mini, which is just a simple firewire instrument interface. i went to bed last night and everything was working fine. woke up this morning and the sounds is now coming from the internal speak, not my stereo. nothing is wrong with the firewire port because its still lighting up and running, but osx is telling me there is no m-audio device connected to the computer. i tried to reinstall the software but that did nothing. should i try to completely uninstalling the software and then reinstall? i also installed m-audios upgrade about a week ago but had no problems up until now. if none of this works, should i strat wondering about a potential virus and possibly formating the hard drive?
    any help is certainly appreciated

I have a similar device. A fresh install of the device may help.
For my device the manual says to turn off all power saving settings. Do not let the computer go to sleep, not the screen, not the hard disc, not anything.
That is probobly unrelated to the computer not recognising it.
    It's not a virus.
Make another user account in the System Preferences. Log out of your account and into the newly created one. Does it work?
If you still have no luck, run the apple hardware test with the discs that came with the computer. A simple search can tell you how to do it.
