Audio dies after 30 seconds

When i put converted video files onto my iPod, i.e. season premiere of 24, the video and audio pause after exactly 30 seconds every time, then the video resumes a few seconds later, without audio. Any ideas?

Also, I have restored my iPod and reset it.

  • NIC/Audio dies after a few minutes

PROBLEM:  Within an hour of use of the system with any NIC being used to connect to cable modem, the following happens:
    1.  NIC stops working (as evidenced by all downloads, chats, browsing ceasing to work)
    2.  sometimes the onboard sound may simply stop working prior to or after this
    3.  system stuttering (mouse moves normally/fluidly, but the apps respond very sluggishly while the task monitor shows low/no cpu utilization)
    4.  eventually lock up (but not freeze: mouse still often visibly movable) occurs requiring reboot
    SYSTEM SPECS:

    Windows 2000SP4(but SP0 same problem)
All the latest MSI drivers using LiveUpdate3 (including BIOS 1.3-latest version)
    Motorola Surfboard Cable Modem
    CLUES:
The problem happens faster if I do audio or video applications like playing winamp, watching a movie or playing a 3d game (with 10 minutes).
The problem goes away if I disable the onboard NIC through Windows Device Manager.
Surprisingly, the problem comes back when I add and use a PCI NIC for internet connectivity with the onboard NIC still disabled.
However, the problem is absent if I use a USB connection to my cable modem.
The problem was evident in the first hours of my first successful POST after assembly, during my first long download (of the SP4 files), i.e. while still at "SP0".
I dont know what to do next:  should I exchange the motherboard or should I use a different operating system like WinXP.  This doesnt feel like hardware issue, but I need to figure out soon before I run out of time from returning the motherboard to the reseller.

    UPDATE:
I just now had the sound die and system stutter followed by total freeze while installing I-Speeder, even though I am on the cable modem via USB.  However, I still have not had any problem with internet "stutter" since switching from (onboard or pci) NIC to USB for internet.
WONKANOBY: Thanks for replying.  You seem to misunderstand...the problem happens with no PCI cards installed whatsoever, so how could this be IRQ?  Yet, I am intrigued by your suggestion that this could be an IRQ conflict.  However is this possible with nothing but a mouse and keyboard plugged in?  Should I try switching the optical mouse over to USB (currently its ps/2) and free up and IRQ?  I also just disabled the Com1/Com2/LPT2 ports since I am not using them. Thank you.
BAS: Thanks for replying. I checked and the PSU says
       3.3V/20A 5V/30A 3.3V+5V/180A 12V/15A
which I see from your other excellent troubleshooting posts you believe is not enough on 3 of 4 power counts for a 2400+.  Especialy
But, BAS, does my problem really fit the power-starvation profile?  The network problem went away when I went to USB connection which uses more power than onboard NIC I would think.
Is there a way I can be sure before I go back to my reseller and demand they let me tradeup for a beefier case than what they sold me with the rest of the system?
For example, is it as simple as disconnecting every non-essential peripheral inside (2 CDROM/RW drives, floppy) and seeing if that makes the problem go away/lessen?   Or shall I go the other way and hook up an extra case fan, etc. and see if the problem worsens with more load?

    Hi,
    I am on ERP2005 SR2, with Windows 2003 and MSSQL 2005 DB.

  • Video audio stops after like 20/30 sec

    Hey,
I got videos on my ipod video 60 gb I'm sure they work fine because they worked fine when I just put them on.
But after a while when I installed the new software the audio stops after 20/30 sec. It likes freezes for half a second and the audio stops. When I forward the video or rewind the audio works again. Does anyone has the same problem? Or does anyone know how to fix this email me plz [email protected]

If you have the latest software installed (version 1.1), then you may find that rolling back to the previous version helps. There are hundreds of posts here on the forum like yours. Here's one for you to read.

  • Video and Audio with 1 second delay

I am editing on a MAC with Premiere Pro Cs6, 6.01(014 (MC:264587)) a 45 minute file from an Ipad 3, 720. The origina file is synchronized perfectly, you can play withe Quicktime viewer and the lips move with the audio. After using that single file on one sequence, and applying ONLY accelerated efects, like Zoom (motion) and RGB curves, plus audio volume up, if I play it back, the lips are ahead the audio by between 1 and 2 seconds. If I export it to H264, the same issue remains and you can see it on Youtube. This renders Premiere CS6 completely useless for any practical purpose.
Is there any way to fix this?? I am calling for support tomorrow, but wanted your opinions first.

    Your theory is proven false.
On the contrary, the variable framerate is the cause of sync issues and you just confirmed it.
Similarly, would you say that FCP is completely useless for all practical purposes, because it can't create Blu Ray disks?

  • Audio error after publishing or while previewing a project

I have a very large project with branching. When either previewing or publishing (to flash), I have a section of slides that do not play their own audio, but rather, play audio from another part of the course. This happens for 5 slides in a row, the project seems to right itself.
When I preview the affected slides alone, they play as expected and I don't have any other audio files attached to any elements on the page. The minute I try to view the entire project seems to be when the error comes up.
I am using Captivate 4, and the audio is created using the text-to-speech option. I've  cleared out all unused audio files
    Thanks for your help!

    Thanks for the reply!
I already had some gap between the start of the slide and the audio files. I went ahead and made the audio start after the slide had been going .5 seconds, but unfortunately I still have the same problem.
I've recreated the slides and deleted the ones that were giving me problems and the problem is now fixed. That wouldn't have been fun if it were many more slides to rebuild.

  • 1 way Outbound audio for 20 seconds ONLY to certain numbers...Puzzled

So I've got one that has me completely stumped and would love some ideas!
    Basic Setup-
Lync Server 2013 with Stand alone Front end, and Dual honed Mediation server with External address on secondary Nic
    Sip Trunk through Intelepeer
NO firewalls turned on servers, and none between Medation and Sip trunk Provider
    Symptoms-
When dialing certain DID's the receiving caller can hear me but it's one way audio for 20 seconds, after 20 seconds audio works for both sides and directions. ONLY OUTGOING! Incoming works fine.
This only happens with certain DID's, with certain prefixes. Example I can call 3603843600 No problem, however when I call 3603893900 I'll get the delay.
This is happening both on different Area codes, and different prefixes.
    Steps taken for Troubleshooting-
Different carriers, including Comcast, 2 local providers, Google voice and Intelepeer (it happens when I call there support!). I've gone through traces for good and bad calls trying to find a commonality and I'm just stumped.
I've checked routing and dial plans, all the same.
I'm going to redo and republish my trunk tonight for giggles, anyone  have any other ideas?
Here's a couple logs for outgoing calls first Provider side-
    Intelepeer Log
Next up- My mediation server (different phone number, same results) Bad call flow to
And Lastly, a call with Good call flow.
The only difference I can see is the second 183 Session progress, I'm not sure a) if that is making the difference and b) why the first one wouldn't be getting the same thing.
Anyone have any thoughts as to what could be causing this? More logs/traces/etc. available on request!
    Thanks
    -Wayne

I've seen it exactly as described, but with another provider that wasn't Lync certified.  After 20 seconds almost exactly (seemed like 19.something seconds) it reset and both sides could hear each other.
What was happening was, in the RTP packets, we were receiving a BYE from the provider within 10ms.  We could see it with WireShark on the Mediation server.  The provider wouldn't acknowledge this as an issue, and the crazy workaround was to have
them send G.729 and we transcoded it back to G.711.
We were also able to make the issue disappear by turning on Media Bypass but chose not to go this route.
I wouldn't expect this to be an issue with Intellipeer, they're well known for Lync, but it wouldn't hurt to run WireShark and dig into those RTP packets to see if they're sending anything odd in the RTP or the wrong codec or something.

  • IMac G5 tries to start and dies after spinning cog for a minute

iMac G5 tries to start and dies after spinning cog for a minute
    I did this;
    1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc that came with your computer, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
    2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.
    3. Click the First Aid tab.
    4. Click the disclosure triangle to the left of the hard drive icon to display the names of your hard disk volumes and partitions.
    5. Select your Mac OS X volume.
    6. Click Repair. Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk.
    the result was.
the 'permissions' are sometimes wrong, but they repair
the hard drive is either repaired or OK
the iMac will then restart and work fine and sometimes shut down and restart OK
after replacing the Hard Drive I actually thought I had fixed it and went to bed late but happy,
on waking in the morning, however I was not so happy it fired up and then died after dong -> apple logo -> spinning cog -> dead!!
I would be grateful for any help
    Thanks
    Pete

    Hi Miriam,
    Thanks yes,
here we go -- after running disc utilities it tells me directory OK and disk OK (or something like that) When I replaced the Hard Drive, I started 'fresh' erased/formatted the hard drive (new Seagate Barracuda 7200 500GB) and it has just got 'tiger' on it (and upgraded to whatever it is now I think I remember 4.11, I can't tell at the moment as I have got the back off) I didn't transfer any data I just took the old drive (Seagate 160GB) out and stuck the new one in.
I've just changed the battery (I didn't really think it would work, but I was still hopeful and I'd bought the battery anyway) I did the LED thing, the internal power button thing, and the resetting the SMU thing (with crossed fingers and bated breath) but -- so I'm thinking is it the power supply? I read some of Jim's weighty, but worthy tome and resolved to remove the power supply and have a look. On opening it up, it does look as though, one (at least) of the capacitors has 'blown' (by the way, just in case I sound like I know what I'm talking about, I don't of course, I'm just quoting Jim's words;-) I'd love to send you a picture of the inside of the power supply showing what I believe to be a 'blown' capacitator (and I'm going to try to send one to Jim as I think it might be useful to him and others. can I attach a photo in any way or would you like to send me your email address <Edited by Moderator>
    Thanks
    Pete
PS it's still 'weird' to me, why it starts and runs well, when started from tiger (or whatever) and then starts or restarts from the Hard Drive unless I leave it a few hours and come back and try to start it
again? wow it's late nearly 4.00am here in london UK.

  • Lost audio files after saving.

I lost my audio files after saving in Logic X and now my project file has the extension .logicx on it and my audio files are nowhere to be seen. I made some changes to the project, moved the file to another folder, then they asked if I wanted to replace the other file with the new and I said yes not thinking that it would matter. Is there any way that my audio files are still out there somewhere? And no I don't have time machine hooked up.
    Thanks.

if you replaced that file.. then you have lost it's contents as they have all been replaced with the one you copied over... and as you have no backups you cannot, as they say.. un-scramble the egg...
Finally start making backups as soon as possible...
    As the old saying goes...

What model laptop is this? Does the issue occur when you use headphones? If you could give me some more details I will be able to give you some more suggestions to resolve the issue.

  • Audio distorted after Lumia 800 vibrates while tak...

If I'm recording a video and an SMS or other notification comes in that causes the phone to vibrate, the rest of the audio recorded after the vibration will sound extremely distorted/broken. Is this a known issue with all Lumia 800s or do I have a faulty device? Not sure if this is a hardware problem and if the phone needs to be returned or a case of waiting for a software update...

As this is the first post I've seen regarding this issue, I couldn't say, however you could call your nearest care centre and check, or if you're worried get it in the post asap. If it were a common problem it would nornally have caused a number of posts regarding the issue, also has the issue occurred on more than one occasion ?

    Include LPT_ARQ_REQUEST_UIAF06  - Form   execute_approver_update
By debugging i found that Its not getting next approval with status T as there is only first approval with status 'A'
This results in unassigned field symbol. and then error.
Please help me resolve this issue.
Please confirm why next approver is not found in method.

    Hi All
    Thanks for your reply.
I checked why it was giving a dump.
This execute_approver_update subroutine takes approval data from table ptreq_approver .
I filled this with resp actor id after request is approved and status is changed to sent.
For every emp its unique actor id is saved in ptreq_actor table agaist his pernr.
       SELECT SINGLE actor_id FROM PTREQ_ACTOR INTO actor_id WHERE objid = nextApprover_pernr.
        wa_appr-mandt = sy-mandt.
        wa_appr-request_id = Request_ID. "Req.requestID ( from Workflow )
        wa_appr-version_no = version_no. "Req.Version ( from Workflow )
wa_appr-seqnr = seqnr. "Same as version no but in char
        wa_appr-approver_ins = actor_id. "Employee actor id from ptreq_actor
        wa_appr-status = 'T'. "Manual
        append wa_appr to it_appr.
        INSERT PTREQ_APPROVER FROM TABLE it_appr .
        commit work and wait.
    This resolved my issue.
    Thanks

  • Exporting layers of audio from After Effects  cs6 to Premiere / or Audition? Is this possible?

exporting layers of audio from After Effects  cs6 to Premiere / or Audition? Is this possible?
Help - I have an After effects project with multiple layered files and want to copy these to Premiere / Audition. For example I know if you select multiple video files from After Effects these can be pasted straight into Premiere intact - but this does not work with audio. I want to take existing layered audio files from After Effects to Audition / or Premiere but can't copy and paste - is there a simple solution for this?

Hi thanks Dave for responding - yes that could work as a 'workaround' -  I was hoping there would be a way I can keep the existing independent audio layers and corresponding audio levels from After Effects- in the same way I can copy and paste video files from After Effects to Premiere - rather than exporting a flattened AIFF /WAV from After Effects.
This would then allow me a lot more control working on the final edit - especially as currently a lot of the audio layers overlap. It does seem there is no simple solution for this, so  otherwise I can do what you suggest - and 'stagger all the audio files' in sequence so they do not overlap on the timeline and then when I import the flattened exported AIFF file into Audition/ Premeire / I then can cut it up again and recreate the overlaps. Was hoping there might be a simple copy + paste method or other 'export method' but I guess this is simply not possible. It would save me about 7 hours of work, but not the end of the world I guess
One final point - some of the audio clips are .mp3s but the majority are WAVS, hopefully this should not create any issues on the export.
thanks again for your help, if you or anyone has any other solution pls let me know
    Best
    Alex

  • Successfully connected clients disconnetcs after seconds

    Hello,
I'm having troubles with AP541N in clustered mode.
The problem is that clients connects successfully but get disconnected  after seconds without any visible reason.
The AP541N is configured to authenticate the clients against a Symantec Network Access Control (SNAC) and a radius server.
    eventlog from radius server:
    "User xxxxxx was granted access."
    SNAC log:
    Client[0000000c] xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, Status Recevied(HI:PASSED, EAP:PASSED, PRO:PASSED), UID is CORRECT, Enforcer matches(HI:PASSED, EAP:PASSED, PRO:ANY), switch VLAN XXXX on switch nnn.nnn.nnn.nnn.
    client settings (Windows 7 32-bit):
    WPA2-Enterprise/AES
    EAP-Typ: secured EAP (PEAP)
This problems happens not to all clients (all clients are Dell Latitude laptops with Intel Wifi, but different models).
When I use eg. a D-Link USB Wifi adapter in a laptop causing troubles, the connection will work fine, no disconnects.
I have tested with Intel driver version 13.4.0.139
When I connect a laptop causing troubles to another access point (eg. D-Link) it will work fine.
Any ideas to solve the problem are welcome.
