Audio does not sync

When recording a software demonstration, about 50-70 slides
in, the audio becomes out of sync with the slides. Is there any way
to avoid this happening?
Some of our Captivates are 400-500 slides long, and by the
end, the audio can be as much as 20 slides removed from its
corresponding slide. An additional problem with this is that
because the audio is ahead, any audio from the very end of the
recording is not retained.
It may help you to know that the audio is out of sync prior
to any editing and that it seems to be more severe in Captivates
featuring recorded animations or random clicks.

Are you serious? 400-500 slides? Yikes! The normal typical
recommendation is 50-65 slides as a rule of thumb for upper limit.
I'm surprised you aren't seeing other issues besides just audio
sync problems. Red screens of death, etc.
Sorry, but other than suggesting that you trim the movies
down to smaller chunks, I have no recommendations or words of
wisdom. Perhaps others may.

In this case, it looks like Quicktime wasn't very efficient in managing memory, leading to a slowdown in playback. If QT has a lag and VLC doesn't, that's more evidence.
I couldn't say why your friend's windows computer plays the media fine, while your Mac doesn't. The only thing I could suggest is to disable QT streaming video - which has been known to slow down performance.

TS1718 Movie audio does not sync with movie

Hi,
The movies I have bought through iTunes store does not work properly. I bought two last week and when trying to play them back over the weekend, the audio is not sync'd with the movie playback. I have a Winodws 8 laptop and enough space for the films to be played. The software is all up to date and can therefore see no problem as to why this should not be working. Does anybody know of any way to resolve this to allow me to watch the films?

Audio does not sync with videos

Sometimes when I download videos from iTunes, the audio and the video are not in sync. This has only started to happen since I upgraded to iTunes 7. Is there a way to fix this or is it a problem with the download process?

David, I'm monitoring the audio through the line out of my Mac Pro, using a small pair of powered computer speakers.
It's a system I've been using for years, and haven't had a problem w the audio waveform not matching the audio I hear, until now.

Why when downloading film audio does not sync ?

Question as per title. I have downloaded film twice and both times dialogue and sound effects do not sync with associated action. However, the time lag with the second download was not as pronounced as the first. Is there an iTunes download setting I need to change or is the problem more likely to be ISP related (e.g. download speed, contention).

Audio does not sync with its own waveform.

Hi Everyone,
I captured an audio track from a DAT tape into FCP. No video yet, just audio.
I noticed the audio that I hear is 2 frames ahead of the corresponding wave form. Any ideas on how that could happen and how to correct it?
I can re-capture the DAT if needed.

Audio does not sync on mp4 files

After upgrade to QT 7.2 and iLife08, mp4 files (from Olympus camera) are no longer synced (timeshift audio/video). Can anybody help??

My Video and Audio are not syncing up after importing

I am trying to edit a few Ipad Clips in premier pro. My video and audio are not syncing. They are .mov lower resolution from the ipad. The original audio is fine - but after I put in a sequence the audio is off a few seconds (ahead). I did not add any affects or change anything. Please advise?

Premiere does not work well with variable frame rate video which, I expect, the ipad produces, You might have to convert the footage before you import it into Premiere. Do a forum search for variable frame rate, there are a lot of posts.

Not true. X3 still shows in iTunes. I did a full restore, I unsubscribed, I deleted X3 podcasts from hard drive and re subscribed and downloaded. They show up in the Podcasts in iTunes but nothing shows in iTouch 3G. My other podcasts work fine. This worked fine before this buggy update. They do show up under recently added, but not in Podcasts. This is NOT acceptable.
I wish Apple would get off their ego trip and start writing software that works, or give us a way to go back before the update.

ITunes 11.01 on Windows 8 audio will not sync with video

I have a new computer that is running Windows 8, and I have had no issues with iTunes 11.01 thus far on it other than the fact that when playing videos, the audio will not sync up with the video.
With the ineptitude that seems to define Apple as of late, there does not seem to be any actual support for Windows 8, and the "support" channels do no good at all.
Any ideas as how to fix this problem?

I think Microsoft made the Windows 8 incompatible with Apple products on purpose, they want windows users to have to download apps from their paid service which is more expensive than Apple's App/iTunes Store

I have uploaded an edge animate cc published html with sound. The html file opens perfectly on my mac pro safari browser perfectly with audio. But when I open the same file on my iphone5 the file opens but no the audio does not play. What wrong does anybody have an answer?

You are right. But there detail. If Online audio will be downloaded to this user interaction. Depending on your animation will all be out of sync with the audio. For the timeline will run before. I do not know how to do but needed to put a stop to that timeline only run when the audio is downloaded. I had problems in IOS and Android with audio using adobe edge previous version before they even have audio support. Used Edgehero who answered my expectations very well. Only had this same problem but it was solved this way.

Latest iTunes 11.1.5 on XP does not sync

The Latest update to iTunes (11.1.5.5) does not sync music or audio books to my IPhone 4s.running lates iOS 7(7.0.6) version.
Everything worked before ITunes was updated. PC running Windows XP.
Any fix available?

I should of said that Sync appears to happen but no music or audio books transfers to my iphone.

IPhone calendar does not sync new events and appointments from Outlook

iTunes 9.2.0.61/iPhone 4.0.1 - does not sync newly added events and appointments! Previously added stuff is all there, new stuff added in Outlook 2007 just doesn't show up. I've gone back to my old Palm T|X which syncs all this stuff with no problem, so it's not an Outlook bug.
It looks like Apple has put a team of junior programmers on the Calendar app - I've seen leap-year bugs (still there), events showing up on the wrong day (still there), and I'm still waiting for the "week at a glance" view. Calendar is SO important for business use that top level "gray beard" engineers need to be on this. (Question for Apple's calendar developers: what's Zeller's Congruence? It they haven't heard of it they have no business doing calendar programming.)

Spontaneously started syncing again - no idea why now, nor why it failed for so long. Related to the alarm bug? Who knows...

This worked for me.
Hold down the option key while using the Finder “Go To Folder” command. Enter ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.dashboard.plist. Move the .plist to your desktop.
Log out/in
If it works, delete the .plist on your desktop.
If the same, return the .plist to where you got them from, overwriting the newer ones.
If you prefer to make your user library permanently visible, use the Terminal command found below.
Show User Library
You might want to bookmark the command. I had to use it again after I installed 10.8.4. I have also been informed that if you drag the user library to Finder it will remain visible.
