Audio doesn't begin for several seconds

Just recently, every time I try to use audio on my imac it waits 4-5 seconds before doing anything. ITunes, for example, will wait 4-5 seconds to play a song, after I double click it. As far as I can tell, everything is affected, iTunes, VLC, browser audio, flash video, etc. Any ideas?

i'm not so sure that it's not the car. I had my 2015 c class in for service and they loaned me a 2014 clk 500 and it worked perfectly! i was able to pause the music (or not have it on at all) and the nav app provided the prompts thru the BT without a problem. i noticed one strange and very subtle difference from my car. on the 2014 clk, the bluetooth audio interface had a stop button (black square) on the screen that i could click on, while my 2015 mercedes only has a pause button (looks like || ). i don't know if that difference has anything to do with it or not. but this is mighty frustrating, and i just upgraded to the newest release of iOS 8 which was supposed to remove other bluetooth bugs, but not this one... i think i'll have to resort to recording a silent playlist like the other commenter.

Picture is going out for several seconds. Audio continues...

We keep losing picture on pretty much all channels. It disappears for several seconds (black screen) but the audio continues. The time it is gone is increasing as well as the frequency. It's not the TV, because it is recorded on the DVR like this, if you rewind etc. Any ideas?

When I got to step #3 (While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on.) my Ipod would not turn on, and Itunes did not recognize my Ipod. :S

Mac Pro shows beach ball and pauses for several seconds

I have an issue with my new Mac Pro (2013) wherein I can be running nothing but Pages for instance (does same with other non-graphic intense programs as well) and I will get a beach ball, then the computer will halt for several seconds until the beachball clears. Why is this happening? I have 500 GB SSD and 16 GB Apple memory.   This happens also when bouncing a two or three instrument song in Logic Pro. Anyone know of issues?

When you see a beachball cursor or the slowness is especially bad, note the exact time: hour, minute, second.
These instructions must be carried out as an administrator. If you have only one user account, you are the administrator.
Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)

Firefox will not launch. The screen goes black for several seconds, then returns to the launcher drawer.

Installed Fennec 4.0b2 on my Acer Liquid running Android 2.2. When I tried to launch application, the screen goes to black, with a grey bar at the top with the word "firefox" within. This screen persists for several seconds, before the returning to the previous screen.

Hello skdog I possibly think your ipod touch is black because it has not charged. If your dock is broken it might just mean the dock will be broken and so might be the USB port. You should see an Apple shop nearby and hand it over and see what they can do. I hope this information works!

How do i freeze a frame in a movie and hold it for several seconds?

I have a clip where someone turns round and gives the 'thumbs up' to the camera - how do i hold this thumbs up position, for several seconds?
Do i need to export a frame and import it back to the timeline or what?

Cut the clip in the timeline at the point where you want the "Thumbs Up" to freeze and make sure the playhead is on that frame.
Then select Modify>Make Freeze Frame.
The freeze-frame will appear in the Viewer.
Click on it and drag it down to the timeline.
You will have to alter its length according to what you want.

HT2622 mac mini displays gray screen and says to restart computer by holding down restart button for several seconds. Will not boot.

My mac mini will not display home screen. When I turn it on and try to reboot it, there is a gray sceen that is displayed and then a message to restart by holding the power button for several seconds. This shuts down the computer, but then the above problem repeats.

If the message you're getting is in several languages, that's a kernel panic. Kernel panics are usually, but not always, caused by hardware, with memory a leading cause. If you have a mid-2010 mini, you can easily reseat the memory (remove and reinstall) .... mini's prior to that are a bit more involved to open the case.

LVRT PXI Target ethernet stops for several seconds

A brief explanation is: during TCP transfers, the data transmission will pause periodically, for several seconds. In that case, LV version is 7.1, and the solution was a maintenance upgrade to 7.1.1. In my case, the LV version is 7.0 (I am supporting a customer application), and because LV 7.1 was not purchased, the upgrade is not available to me.
Is there a similar fix available for LV RT 7.0? OS is Windows 2000.

From what I understand, you are asking for a maintance release to improve the TCP communication. Unfortunately, that does require the upgrade to at least 7.1.1. One other option that might help improve performance is to set your system to half-duplex. I have included the instructions below:
When using a crossover cable to communicate between an RT controller and a windows host, it is important to ensure that the systems correctly negotiate signals. By manually setting these connections, you ensure correct communication with the RT system and host.
Configure the settings in Windows 2000 or Windows XP
Right-click on My Computer on the Desktop and choose Properties.
Select the Hardware tab and click Device Manager.
Expand Network Adapters.
Right-click on the ethernet communication device (i.e. Intel(R) PRO/100VE Desktop Adapter) and choose Properties.
Select the Advanced tab and browse the list on the right hand side. One of the items will allow you to configure the communication settings by selecting an item from the Value drop down menu. In the Value drop-down box, you will see the following options:
100Mbps/Full Duplex
100Mbps/Half Duplex
10Mbps/Full Duplex
10Mbps/Half Duplex
Auto Detect
Select one of the Half Duplex modes and select OK
The host system is now set up for half-duplex communication
Configure the settings on the RT Controller
Open Measurement and Automation Explorer (MAX)
Expand Remote Systems and select your Real-Time target
Select the Advanced Ethernet Settings Button to bring up the property page
In the property page select half duplex and select OK
The Real-Time controller is now setup to use half-duplex communication.

Skype maxes a cpu core periodically for several seconds and does not respond

Skype 7.7.85.103 uses a lot of cpu periodically, and is not reacting for several seconds.
I am not sure, if this is related to advertisements changing in these intervals, but if it is, then this should not be happening.
I already did a clean install (inclusive removing EVERYTHING from the registry), and it did not help.
I tried as administrator - once again, it did not help.
It is less visible when I am connected to a powersource, as the cpu is then going faster, but it still happens.
And it is not the first version that has had this problem.
In case it may help, there is the dxdiag.txt attatched.

First time I press the space-bar the text entry hangs for several seconds

Hi,
When entering text, the first time I press the space-bar the text entry hangs for several seconds.
From then on, there are no problems when entering text.
iPhone 3G, iOS 4.2.1, no automatic correction and no spell checking.

Didn't resolve the problem
There was some duplicated fonts fixed, but there wasn't the problem.
Right now i'm writin this in Firefox and here is fine. Couldn't do this in Safari.
I did make a video showing the problem.
Also strange is the fact that in some tabs there isn't (aparently) the problem in Safari.
Any other ideas?

How to Acquire Data at High Rate for Several Seconds?

I am using a PCI 5152 with 64Megs of memory per channel. I am also using Labview 7.1 in WinXP. My PC is a Quad Processor Computer with 2GB of Ram.
I need to acquire data for several seconds as follows: I am triggering at 1ms and for each trigger I want to save the first 200us of data at the highest possible rate (more than 200MHz).
I have developed the code attached but I keep getting the error -1074116198 (buffer overwrite). Any ideas or suggestions are welcome

Could you please provide a screenshot of the front panel for your VI when you run the program and receive the error (I want to know what each value is set to). Are you able to run the program without error when you decrease the record length and/or sample rate? Additionally, what are the values of the Records Fetched and Records Acquired indicators when you receive the error? Can you please provide a screenshot of the actual error message you are receiving as well? Finally, I am curious to know why you are taking your min record length value and dividing it by the period (reciprocal of min sample rate)? I look forward to hearing back from you soon and reproducing the issue you are seeing.

System freezes for several seconds every minute or so?

Recently, within the past week, my OS has began freezing for several seconds every 40 seconds or so. I had not downloaded any applications around the time this began. The last app I downloaded was iMovie 6 (for the editing features), I downloaded this several days after this problem began. The last app I downloaded BEFORE the problem began was UnRarX, which I downloaded back in April. I have no idea how to check my specs, and computer info, please tell me how to get this and I will tell you.

Call AppleCare. Whenever you buy a new Mac, discs are always supplied with them. Usually they come in a white envelope that is square with the user manual in the box. If you bought it from a non-Apple source, you should call them and ask them to send you the disc. It isn't their's to keep, and they can call AppleCare to order them. And no, it isn't in the Utilities folder. It is a physical optical disc that looks like a music CD, but says MacBook Pro on it.

New Toshiba Sattelite L750-10F audio freezes in place for a second then returns to normal

I recently bought this notbook and the audio constantly freezes and makes a squealing noise for a second or two then returns to normal. Any suggestions?
