Audio drops out of Premiere Pro CC2014

Working on an older Mac Pro running Mavericks, the audio drops out suddenly. It can be from initial launch of a new project, or one in progress while you're in the middle of an edit session. And when I say "drops out", it literally goes entirely away, no output to speakers and no internal metering within Premiere. The only indication that you actually have audio on a clip is the drawn waveforms on the files themselves in the Source window or on the Timeline, plus you know the media that you're working with. I've tried to move the media cache files to a different location, delete them and make the project re-conform audio and indexed files, but the only thing that really works is to shut down completely and let it sit for about 10 mins. Too quick of a re-boot and it comes up the way you shut it down, dysfunctional, and a restart definitely will not work. Any ideas anyone?

TGlen,
Can I get the specifics of your Mac and any third party hardware that is connected including drives and capture hardware? FAQ: What information should I provide when asking a question on this forum?
Thanks,
Kevin

  • Audio drops out in Premiere Pro CC

    Hello...
Since the last Adobe Cloud update, I have found the audio tracks drop out after a few seconds playing... The level meters suggest audio is still present but nothing is actually audible.  Pausing and resuming playback restores audio but only for a few seconds.
Up until this issue, I had no problems with audio.
    Video seems unaffected.
I am running on a PC platform:
    Windows 7 ultimate
    Intel hexacore 3GHz
    32Gb RAM
    Nvidia GTx 770
    System HD is an SSD
    Video are 2 internal HDD's running in RAID 0 @ 6Gb/s
It seems this issue is a recurrent one... I have tried the solutions indicated for the past occurrences but with no avail.
    Suggestions would be appreciated :-)

Steve736, would it be helpful for others to submit a bug report?  I have used Adobe products for over 10 years and have not ever done that.  If it is valuable for them to here it from more than one user, count me in.  It seems to be an issue of interfacing with audio equipment because some Mac users have the problem and some,  like me, don't.  Mac hardware is fairly consistent so it must be easier to narrow down on a mac if its a hardware or drive disagreement. I have not come up with a workaround on to prevent it on the PC side.  I have turned off some of the NVIDIA audio drivers installed, turned off Mercury CUNA rendering.  I have played audio and playback settings in preferences, made the buffers larger.  The only thing I can count on is that it takes awhile to start and once it starts freezing and creating the errors, it just gets more and more frequent until I close the project and reopen it, then it takes awhile and then slowly gets more frequent again.

  • Video & Audio Drop Outs on Macbook Pro

I have a MacBook Pro with Version 10.7.3, 6 months old. Just recently when I play video, regardless of whether it's in iTunes, iMovie, or embedded in Keynote the video sticks, audio drops out for 1 -2 seconds or the shot freezes. What causes this and how is it fixed.

I apologize for the audio drop outs. I have sent you a private message to get account information from you so we can reprogram your boxes.

  • Preview Files Suddenly Go Missing, Render Entire Work Area Crashes Premiere, Audio Drops Out

I opened a Premiere Pro project I was working on earlier today and it said it couldn't find the preview files, searching my system found that the files didn't exist.
Rendering my entire work area brings up the "render window" but nothing happens, if I press cancel Premiere freezes.
Started getting a strange situation error ( 26 ::139 ) in After Effects at the same time that Premiere lost the preview files and the crashes started happening. It disallows me from editing any dynamically linked projects. In Premiere the DL's just show up as "Media Pending" clips indefinitely. Importing the compositions in AE into a new project didn't fix the issue either.
The three problems above started happening all at the same time, was working through a color grade using Red Giant software when it started happening.
Also audio drops out on playback randomly in Premiere Pro, tried various audio drivers and hardware, none entirely eliminate this problem. Sometimes the audio will cut out and "burst in" distorted very loudly, which is disturbing, even when my work area is rendered. This problem has been around since I started using PP CC.
I can provide more info soon or if people want more info pls let me know, I'm very tired and I need to get this issue resolved for tomorrow, in the mean time hopefully someone can point out a general fix for these errors or knows a few workarounds. Tried reinstalling PP and AE, no luck.
Computer is a Windows 7, 64-bit. i7 950, 12gb RAM, GeForce GTX 650, programs installed on a separate internal HDD, media files on another internal HDD. But these same issues (minus the audio dropouts) was also cropping up on a core 2 duo 13'' macbook pro.
    Regards,
    Zach

Hi Arjun, thank you for your help.
Though that didn't work either. At least the timeline will playback but as soon as I try to render my work region or export any video Premiere freezes.
I removed all dynamic linked files as well, that didn't seem to change anything.
Something I noticed -- the render bar on the timeline that is usually yellow for edited clips that have no FX on them is all red, nothing is yellow (or green). This is a 4 minute long edit on a music video, nothing extraordinary.
I tried creating a new project and dragging a few clips in and editing them, everything went normally and I could render and export the clips. Just any rendering done on any version of this music video edit I'm working on crashes the program.
Also recently had a problem where I opened the music video project and the song that I imported (.mp3) all of a sudden has no waveform or sound coming from it. Dragging it back into the project doesn't fix it either. Workaround was using a .wav copy of the song.

  • Audio drop out in Encore AND Premiere

Strange problem. I am trying to burn a dvd with Encore. All the files play fine in QT, all the audio is there. once in Encore, it randomly picks clips to not play audio AT ALL. Sometimes it will play part of a clip then drop out audio. I have re installed and tried several tricks, like bringing files into Premiere Pro to render out a different file type. Now my premiere wont play the audio randomly either and the file produced has no audio! all other audio/video apps running fine. Not sure if its a Adobe Production Studio problem or a glitch in my system, thou as I said, rest of system works fine.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!
    Steve

Well, thanks for reply but I got it to work after several work arounds, thou my Adobe products still seem to be working strange(Not opening as I closed them, etc.)
So, foe giggles, here was what I was working with.
I digitized some footage from a digibeta into my Avid where I exported Quick Time reference files to be used in After Effects.
In After Effects I exported Quick Time Movies with Blackmagic codec,8bit, with 4800k audio, uncompresed. All where NTSC 29.97. Files play in Quick Time/Windows media player no prob.
Installed Blackmagic codec on my home system for the final build with Encore2.0 DVD and thats when all the fun started. Encore would play files fine but then start to randomly drop out audio at burn.
To solve this I pulled QT's into Premiere Pro2.0 and exported WAV files to swap out for in Encore. This almost worked until Premiere started to mimic the Encore problems with random audio drop out.
After several retarts of the programs ( they would both have ASIO driver problems and quit audio. I replaced my driver, still same problem. whew!)I got the files all rendered.
Wow, still with me? Thanks! so long story I finally got the QT re rendered in Premiere to DV files that worked fine in Encore.Still think I have a system bug or somethig due to the fact these programs and Photoshop too are acting "wonky", crashing out or locking up, etc.
Thanks for the intrest!! any suggestions on system checks would be great!

  • Premiere pro cc2014 and audio file ac3

    Good morning
In premiere pro cc2014 help it is specified that Ac3 audio format is supported. Each time I try to import such a file the program sends an error message stating the contrary! what is the solution? My software is updated; I don't understand such contradictory situations.

Exporter converter Plugin for Adobe Premiere and After Effects for Export / Conversion to Apple Prores & HEVC H265 on Wi…/ ,
Miraizon DNxHD and ProRes Codecs Overview ou autres.
Je n'ai pas regardé mais comme tout plugin commercial, faut l'acheter et l'installer avant de pouvoir l'utiliser.

  • Audio drops out Premiere cs6 + Red

Having an exceptionally annoying issue - the audio drops out after approx 2 seconds, the clip itself fine, pausing and continuing makes the audio play for an additional two seconds before dropping out. I'm using Premiere cs6 with scarlet footage and sync sound (both the original 41khz wavs and my own 48khz aif's exhibit same issue. Intel q9550 2.8ghz (quad), 8gb ram, gtx670, g-raid over esata. Almost identical issue to this, which doesn't look like it's been resolved:

Does the issue occur only with this media?  Only in this project?  Or is it more widespread?

  • Premiere pro cc2014 bugs?

    Hello
Has anyone updated Premier pro cc 2014 to the latest version. I havent touched it in ages because of all the bugs and constant  crashing but im eager to return to several  CC 2014 projects that I need to start using again.
Have the bugs been fixed is it worth using again?
    Thanks
    Philip

Here's a breakdown and he's the link to the original post. There's some feedback from other customers there: What's Fixed in Premiere Pro CC2014.2
As noted in the blog post for the 2014.2 release, while this update includes a few new features, it is chiefly geared toward addressing known issues. The blog post lists the higher profile fixes. Below is is a more comprehensive list.
    Import
Red frames in MXF clips from a particular model of camera.
Cannot import ARRI Alexa Open Gate clips
Import fails for IMX 30 MXF clips stored on certain proprietary media asset management systems. Error: Unsupported format or damaged file.
Some XDCAM HD Proxy files show red frames
Some .VOB clips play only audio or shows media pending indefinitely
Premiere does not recognize timecode for audio-only MXF files written by some third-party programs.
Only the first frame of video plays for AVC-Intra50 MXF files stored on certain third-party media asset management systems.
Spanned DVCPRO clips have incomplete audio if an XMP file is present but no media cache/pek file are found.
Some metadata from an Adobe Clip project does not get correctly logged on import.
    Exporting & Rendering
Rendering fails for MXF media with Posterize Time effect applied
ProRes exports can be very slow when smart rendering
Encoded output can include black frames, corrupted frames, or frames from elsewhere in the sequence
Canceling export to P2 can result in low-level exception if the sequence duration is greater than a few minutes
Aspect ratio for IMX 30 widescreen anamorphic encodes is incorrect.
Edit to Tape: Audio drops out while playing out to tape
The Height setting for encodes to the GoPro Cineform codec is constrained to multiples of 8.
Smart Rendering: GoPro 2.7K footage cannot be smart rendered
    AAF
Distorted audio in AAF exports with 24 bit embed option selected.
If a multichannel sequence has been nested into 2 channel sequence, then an AAF export yields the number of channels in the nest rather than the 2-channel mix-down
Certain third-party programs have problems relinking to video with Premiere's AAF exports. (Windows only)
If the first of two adjacent audio clips has a Fade Out applied, exporting as AAF converts it to a Fade In onthe second clip. (Mac only)
When AAF exports are opened in some third party apps, audio crossfades are treated as cuts or fade-ins.
Crash during AAF export if a video clip has multiple effects applied.
When AAF exports are opened in some third party apps, some audio clips and tracks are incorrect.
Crash upon exporting to AAF with disabled clips that have cross fades applied
If a multicam sequence with mono audio is nested onto a stereo or adaptive track, then exporting to AAF yields a stereo clip with the audio panned fully to the left.
When AAF exports are opened in some third party apps, rendered audio of is relinked automatically, but the video needs to be manually linked.
    Playback
If a UHD ProRes clip is in an SD sequence an scaled to less than 50%, then scaling is ignored during playback at Full Resolution [GPU acceleration only]
Poor playback performance with certain third-party I/O hardware on OS X 10.9.
Crash during playback of R3D content [CUDA GPU acceleration only]
    Audio
Audio sync is lost with some XDCAM content wrapped in QuickTime reference movie
Audio sync is lost when user starts scrubbing during playback while using certain I/O hardware.
When playing past an audio transition, the sound sometimes surges and has pops/clicks introduced
Audio dropouts, and Events panel reports "audio dropouts detected." [Prefetch purge related]
Audio dropouts in some scenarios after releasing memory (e.g., cycling focus to another app)[Prefetch-related]
Shuttling for an extensive time can cause audio dropouts
    Project
If current user does not have write access to certain folders, the crash error message is uninformative (Mac only)
In Adobe Anywhere, crash when using keyboard shortcut to open Convert Project to Production dialog or the New Production dialog.
If multiple clients on a network use the same media cache location, then upon importing a given asset each client writes its own accelerator files.
The Find features in the Project panel and Timeline cannot search by Korean characters.
In Search Bins, moving focus by keyboard from one clip to another can cause the tree view to expand to show the bin where the clip is stored.
    Project Manager/Consolidate & Transcode
If the destination drive has insufficient space, Premiere throws an "unknown error" rather than an informative message.
Project Manager writes some clips outside of folders
Consolidate and Transcode does not warn the user if the destination drive has insufficient space.
Unknown error can result from using Consolidate & Transcode with P2 content in the sequence.
In some cases, Consolidate & Transcode copies and renames the component assets for merged clips.
If Exclude Unused Clips is deselected, the components for merged clips sometimes still get copied; if the option is selected, the presence of merged clips can yield Unknown Error.
If the sequence being transcoded contains overlapping "soft" subclips, then some clips may be missing from the sequence in the consolidated version, and In/Out points may be incorrect for the subclips.
If Exclude Unused Clips is turned off and the project being transcoded contains "soft" subclips, then the consolidated version of the project does not have transcoded copies of the subclips.
If a sequence contains only audio from an A/V clip, using Consolidate and Transcode to some presets will fail with unknown error
If the sequences being transcoded contains two copies of a master clip, one of which was the product of Duplicating or Copying/Pasting in Project panel, the consolidated version of the project has only one instance of the master clip.
If the project contains multiple master clips for the same asset and Interpret Footage is applied, then the consolidated version will have multiple transcoded copies of the source asset.
If the transcoded sequence contains a hard subclip (i.e., "Restrict Trims to Subclip Boundaries" enabled), the resulting project item is a master clip rather than a subclip.
    Merged Clips
Comment markers added to a merged clip get inserted to the component clips, but the Name & Comment entries are not saved.
Hang on right-clicking the current marker in a merged clip in certain circumstances.
    Editing/Timeline
Crash on clicking the very bottom of clip in the Timeline and dragging to move the clip. [SubViewImpl.cpp-724]
Crash on Ripple Trim Previous Edit to Playhead for a clip group when that action completely deletes one of the component clips in the group. (TrackItemGroup.cpp-821)
Indefinite hang if sequence contains a QuickTime .mov with an unusual framerate and a CEA-708 caption track
Crash upon creating a sequence from a source with no frame rate specified (e.g., a title imported from a third-party-generated XML)
If a rendered-and-replaced clip has been trimmed, then Restore Unrendered can result in content being out of sync
    Multicam
Audio is lost when flattening multicam sequences that were created with dual stereo movies.
If a multicam clip was created with Switch/mono and placed into stereo tracks, then flattening incorrectly maps the audio channels to stereo, with the right channel disabled.
Playing a multicam sequence in the Source Monitor can result in an unacceptable ratio of dropped frames.
    Effects & Transitions
With Warp Stabilizer applied, Program Monitor shows only upper left corner of the frame, sometimes with alternating whole frames [GPU acceleration only]
Sub-pixel positioning is incorrect for non-linear alpha compositing [GPU acceleration only]
GPU transitions that depend on other layers cannot access those layers
Crash upon clicking outside the Direct Manipulation control for some effects.
Memory leak with certain third-party effects
Crash on clicking Setup button for some third-party transitions.
Loudness Radar' Track FX Editor intercepts keystrokes intended for editing titles (e.g., spacebar)
Crash (Pure Virtual Function Call) on adjusting parameters for some third-party effects.
Some third-party effects get frames from the wrong time in the clip.
    UI/Workspaces
All open Project panels get reset to root upon switching between projects that use the same workspace.
The order of open Timelines sometimes gets jumbled upon closing and reopening the project.
Bezier handles for keyframe can be nearly invisible at default brightness.
Closing the Source Monitor when it's showing a scope (e.g., YC Waveform) crashes Premiere (error: CheckBoxControl.cpp-105)
HTML5 panels do not receive Tab events.
Redraw errors on maximizing an HTML5 panel.
Performance (Note: Most of these fixes are also listed under a product area)
In certain scenarios, performance is unacceptable when doing basic editing operations with waveforms displayed in the Timeline.
Scrubbing a growing file on an Xsan can result in very high bandwidth usage with some network configurations.
Playing a multicam sequence in the Source Monitor can result in an unacceptable ratio of dropped frames.
ProRes exports can be very slow when smart rendering.
Poor playback performance with certain third-party I/O hardware on OS X 10.9.

I've since rolled back to 8.1 with no issues. I'd love to get 8.2 to work, since scrubbing thru Gh4 4k files was a lot smoother with this update.

  • Audio drops out while video continues to play just after making a cut!

I've been using Adobe Premiere Pro for a few months now and I use it to edit my YouTube gameplay videos. Here is everything I am doing in Adobe Pr:
    1. Create new project
    2. import my raw gameplay video (m2ts file)
    3. import my wave sound file (my commentary)
    4. Put them on the time line and play the video (it works then)
    5. make a cut somewhere and the GAMEPLAY audio drops out not the video or my commentary.
The same thing happens in Adobe Premiere Elements as well. Should I convert my m2ts files to MP4 or AVI or something??? Please help

Last week, this song played fine on the burned copy.
Is this problem now showing up in the iDVD preview mode? Or is it with subsequent burned DVD's?
Go back to your project in iDVD. Go to File>Save as disk image. This will create a file that can be viewed on your computer's DVD player. The disk image will show you how your project will appear when played on a standard DVD player. See if this problem is repeated. If everything is fine, go ahead and burn the DVD using Disk Utility.
    I hope this helps.

  • Video playback slow and audio drop out after render

    Hi
I have downloaded a trial version of After Effects from the cc,
Problem is everytime I render ou,t the video playback is slow and the audio drops out
This happens with AVI or Quicktime files.
Using a Intel i5 quad core, 8 gig of ram 250 gig ssd.laptop
Render/export in Premire pro is fine.
    Can any one help.

It sounds like you might be hitting the space bar in hopes of getting real time playback.  Sorry, but AE doesn't work like that, because it does totally different things from an editing application like Premiere.
And if you've downloaded the tryout version, you really ought to learn how AE works... and a short description is "it doesn't work intuitively".  You can frustrate yourself in a hurry.
    But this can really help;

  • Audio Drops Out on Long Clip: Win 7 - AVCHD - CS4 (PP4.1)

I've just brought up a cranking new Win 7 64-bit machine today and thus far almost everything has flowed swimmingly. I can work with AVCHD files easily, can run to AE and PS, etc. All great.
Then this evening I tried a clip that was significantly longer than the otehrs I'd been trying. It's about 10 minutes in a single take. After a couple of minutes, the audio just stops playing. The timeline display shows audio information there -- but it just stops playing any sound, even as the picture continues.
I thought: maybe it's building a preview. So I let it sit for a couple of minutes, then hit play -- same behavior, audio vanishes at the same point in the clip.
Next, I broke out NeoScene and copied the same clip to Cineform. Loaded up the copied file in PP CS4 and found that it played without any issues. All picture, all audio.
Any suggestions, other than converting everything to Cineform (I bought this machine so I wouldn''t have to!!)?
I shot that clip on a Canon HF S11 @ "PF30" -- which is still stored at 60i in the AVCHD file. Could this be the culprit? (And if so, what to do about it?)
    Thanks,
    kb

    My setup is as follows:
Premiere: Pro CS4 updated to current.
Computer: Quad core (HPM9060N tricked out with 8G RAM, 1.5T primary disc, Win7 Ultimate 64-bit)
Cameras: Sony HDR-SR5 (Hard-drive early AVCHD c. 2007. This camera is basically retired but I am still doing post on some files created with this camera - the new one just came out Mar. 7...)
Sony HDR-CX550V (absolute jewel of a camera; top-of-the-line consumer; 64G flash memory, somewhat tweaked and updated; allows saving of sound as 2-track instead of forcing 5.1).
I produce videos for small opera companies in New York City. My standard product is a one-camera shoot of the opera divided by acts, so I will have files approaching 1-1 1/2 hours. I have found Premiere support to be clueless and/or in denial about some of the problems with these files which almost exclusively have to do with audio (the video editing window looks horrible but the final product is excellent; I think this is being remedied in CS5...)
The usual problem is that the audio drops out at some point. I'm sure that I should put a "do not open til Xmas" sign on the thing and not mess with it while it's conforming and that MAYBE that would stop the "silent-movie" effect at the end of the files.
I have found an effective work-around: CLOSE Premiere, LOCATE AND DELETE the .cfa and .pek files associated with the offending clip, OPEN the .m2ts file in Soundbooth. Save the file as a .wav; re-open PPro, unlink and delete the original soundtrack and replace with the .wav. Hope you haven't edited the video first! Since the application has the same hooks as PPro but uses WAY less resources (and it won't LET you try to mess with the file while it's conforming!) it invariably finishes out the result.
This adds significant time to the workflow. Shame on Adobe for not having fixed this (and other anomalies surrounding AVCHD) during the reign of CS4; let's hope they get it right NEXT version!

  • Audio drop-out in FCPX with 1920x1080 & 2048x1240p @ 24p (codec Apple ProRes 4444 (Linear PCM))24p

    Hi all...
    I'm new to this forum.
Is there an audio issue (drop-outs) with FCPX (ver 10.1.2) for 1920x1080 24p, 1080p HD & 2048x1240 24p (2k) - note: films in FCPX are in codec Apple ProRes 4444, Linear PCM?
Very recently I've been working on a show reel and I have imported a file (short film) to snip out a section to add to the show reel.
I set the project to the film's settings i.e.. "set based on first video clip"...(1920x1080 24p, 1080p HD).  When I play the film in FCPX the audio "hic-cups"..."dips to silence"..."drops-out" briefly (up to 0.5 secs in duration) and very frequently all the way through (approx 15 mins long film)...note: audio set is at stereo 48kHz. The audio monitors on the right hand side also show the dip taking place (if it's a long enough drop-out).
I also have a version of the film in 2048x1240 24p at 2k, again Stereo 48kHz...and this does the same audio "drop-out" all the way through.  I'm unsure what other formats will create this problem i.e. higher or lower aspect ratios than those above.
Is this a software and/or OS issue?  Or a hardware issue?  Or both!?
    About This iMac details:
    iMac 27 inch: OS X ver 10.9.4
Processor: 3.5 GHz Intel Core i7
    Memory: 32 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780M 4096 MB
    Fusion Drive 3.12 TB
Final Cut Pro X was bought & installed with this iMac back in Feb 2014
    FCPX version: 10.1.2
Note also:  I used Compressor (ver 4.1.2) to convert the files (movies) above to Apple ProRes 422 HQ, Linear PCM and the issue disappeared - the audio and visuals played with no problems.  All films play with no issue when opened in QT player.  They are also fine when exporting from FCPX.  The issue only occurs (as far as I can tell) within FCPX when editing or playing the audio there.
    Has anyone encountered this problem?
    Kind Regards,
    Hakan

    Hi Luis,
    Thank you for that.
Seems like you have a point about the "hardware" issue.  I'm unsure (new to it all) at what data rate my (er...wonderful) fusion drive provides FCPX for smooth playback - or where I can find that info on the iMac.  Playing back movies in the 422 HQ codec seems to have no issues (when I converted the movie from 4444 HQ).
But playing the full 4444 HQ, the picture is smooth, but the audio has these drop-outs - even with "best performance" option ticked. Interesting that the audio suffers, not the picture in FCPX - so not sure what's going on there. I also read - perhaps - that to play a smooth ProRes 4444 HQ movie in FCPX the data rate should be min of 500 Mbs (based upon About Apple ProRes) for HD movies and up (i.e. 2k).  ProRes 422 HQ needs a data rate of 220 Mbs - so that is my upper-limit to smooth video&audio playback with the current system I have, I guess.
Does anyone recommend a fast USB3 or Thunderbolt drive (500Mbs+) where I am able to run 4444HQ movies with no issues to picture or sound (away from the fusion drive)?

  • How do I get audio back on single clip that loses audio when imported into Premiere Pro CC?

I've got one clip out of many that for some reason won't play any audio when imported into Premiere Pro.  I am new to Premiere Pro so am hoping it's something stupid I've done, but this is a problem with just a single clip exported the same way as all my others, the original audio is loud (not quiet) and none of the FAQ issues seem to apply (ie I haven't muted the audio or anything stupid like that)
The clip was exported from Plural Eyes into a "master" Premiere Pro project where the audio is fine. I exported it as a short MP4 clip and if I play the clip in Windows Media Player the audio is there loud and clear.
But when I import the clip into a fresh Preimiere Pro CC project this clip appears with just the "film strip" icon on the far left in the Timeline panel, unlike other clips which have an icon that shows "film strip" in the background and "audio wave" in the foreground.
I'm hitting so many glitches with the CC editions of Premiere Pro and After Effects which have annoying inconsistencies between them I'm tempted to just go back to Sony Vegas Pro (single program, no hassle) but hoping most of these issues are down to "newbie incompetence". Very hard to understand why this one clip out of many should be giving me this specific problem though. Any ideas?

I'm getting so many weird results. Most go away by simply closing the project and re-opening and I only have 6GB memory but even so, I'm disappointed by what I thought was supposed to be more "world class" video editing software than Sony Vegas Pro which I found to be a lot more stable. Also struggling with differences between Premiere and After Effects. Every time I want to do something in Pro I seem to need to go to After Effects and vice-versa. After Effects lets me do more of what I could "just do" in Vegas Pro timeline, but it's hideous for lining up audio and having to render anything in RAM to even get a clue as to what a change has done.  Need to add Audition to the long list as well I suspect. Fun times!
