1. Pair with Car infotainment system,
2. Connect as BT Audio & as a BT handsfree kit,
3. Switch off bluetooth without disconnecting (or unpairing) with Car's Audio Infotainment System.
4. make an incoming or outgoing call after phone's BT switch off.
Expected: Call should be normal.
Actual: Call is in progress but audio is muted from phone's speaker because Nokia 5230 is still assuming BT paired device presence.
Recovery: Phone switch OFF-ON

This is not how bluetooth is suppose to work and especially with such an awesome phone MBalmer. What bluetooth device do you have? Did you purchase your bluetooth device from? Let's try removing the connection with your bluetooth and phone completely and then reconnect them. Does the disconnection occur in certain spots? Are you using a special application for bluetooth? I look forward to hearing from you so we can get ths resolved.

For the issue, please check your Sound setting.
Firstly, let us unplug the HDMI Device.
Meanwhile, please open Control Panel>Sound:
Please check your default sound device to see if it remains use HDMI.

Disk permissions changed after switching off FileVault

Hi,
I found my disk permissions changed after switching off FileVault, nearly everything belongs to "system" now.
Can anyone PLEASE tell me what permissions are standard for
-Desktop
-Applications
-System
-Libary
ore doesn't it matter anyway ????

Assuming you're just talking about the Owner being System then:
The owner of Desktop should be your user name.
Applications and System should be System. Since these are not in your Home folder these permissions would have been corrected when you ran Repair Disk Permissions.
The Library folder depends on which Library folder you are talking about. If it's the Library folder that's in the same folder as System and Applications, then the Owner should be System, as well. Again, if that is not in your Home folder, then the permissions repair would have corrected it.
If, however, it's the Library that's in your Home folder, then it should have your username as the Owner.
Filevault only affects things that are in your Home folder so turning it on/off doesn't affect permissions anywhere else.

Hi my iphone showed signs of moisture in camera area and so i kept it under a table lamp for a few hrs after switching off the phone. Later the moisture was gone so i switched on the phone and after 5 min of perfect operation an High temp alarm came. Every time i switch off the phone works fro 5 min and ten gets the alarm. How can i get my phone back to normal?

Thanks for the reply, just being positive as the phone turns on fine and every thing works ok for 5 min and then the temperature alarm comes on. I am hoping that the issue may be limited to a perticular temperature sensor etc.
I have got the phone opened and there was little water signs that have been cleaned with alcohol but the issue remains the same. I believe that the temp alarm is caused due to the phone being kept under the table lamp which raised the phones temp beyond the acceptable range and hence may be damaged one of the temp sensors. Heard that there are around 5 different temp sensors in the iphone. If any one has more knowledge please advise on how i can get this fixed.Thanks.

Audio during calls

Hi, For the last few days (thinking about it, since I updated to iOS 6.0.1) I have been having a problem with the audio during calls. The sound keeps cutting out intermittently, so it sounds like I only hear every other word from the person I'm talking to. It only seems to happen when I call someone, not when I receive calls. How often does the rebooting happen? Does it happen more frequently when your are running some specific application or function? Also what SW version is your phone currently running? You can check this by dialing *#0000#.

After i switch off cable from my USB port servicelayer.exe take me 100 % of PC process. I must CTRL+ALT+DEL and shutdown this process.
I try all. Close Nokia PC Suite, install new driver for cable, off my Nokia.

It's a bug in PC suite 6.84.
Hopefully it will be fixed in 6.85 when it is released.
6.83 works fine and is far more stable and reliable than 6.84.

Offline or Online Backup after switching off and on the archving mode

Hello guys,
I am doing an SAP (on Oracle) upgrade. In the upgrade guide there are two completely different statements about making a backup of the Oracle database during upgrade.
1st statement:
"If you deactivate archiving, you have to make a full backup of the database after the downtime before you switch archiving back on. This must be executed as an offline backup."
2nd statement:
"Backup: Database Was Operated in NOARCHIVELOG Mode
Activate ARCHIVELOG mode again and create a full backup of the database. This must be executed as an offline backup."
Quotes from: "Upgrade GuideSAP ERP 6.0 Including Enhancement Package 4 Support Release 1 ABAPBased on SAP NetWeaver 7.0 Including Enhancement Package"
I understand the fact that the backup has to be offline if you do it before you activate archiving. This is logical.
1) Why does SAP do these two proposals before and after switching on archiving which are completely contrary?
2) Why does the backup has to be offline if you do it after switching on archiving?
May be somebody knows the background for this.

Hi,
Two kind of Recovery play an important role in Database Recovery after DB Restore. The Database recovery can be Compete recovery, point-in-time recovery or partial recovery.
Media Recovery (due to media failure/corruption or loss of Data files) can be performed by applying all Offline Redo Log files which are generated from Online Redo-log file in Archive Mode.
Instance Recovery can be done with the help of Online Redo log file and undo table-space to achieve consistent status of Database. In this recovery the committed transactions (which are logged in Online Redo Log files) are roll forward and the uncomplete transactions (which are also logged in Online Redo Log Files) are rolled back into DB using Undo space info.
If you deactivate archiving, you have to make a full backup of the database after
the downtime before you switch archiving back on. This must be executed as an offline backup.
                   With Archive log Mode , one can deal with Media Recovery and Instance Recovery. Upon deactivating Archive log mode, the Archive log files will not be generated and the circular logging will take place within the group of online redo log files.
                   So, after deactivating Archive Log mode, Its recommended to take immediate offline backup to have consistent Backup copy of Database which may be required to deal with demanded media recovery by restoring that immediate latest offline Backup. If the database operates in NOARCHIVELOG mode, the database can ONLY be completely recovered from instance failure but not from media failure. This means that, in case of media failure you will lose all work done after the last valid offline backup. The database can be backed up only while it is completely closed.
                   Upon media failure after deactivating the Archive log mode (..rare chance, but we can not ignore it...),the complete recovery can not be achieved if the large time gape is there between the last successful offline backup and DB crash because between this time it may be the chance that the Online Redo log files are overwritten so many times in circular manner.

Word documents have disappeared from my desk top (macbook air) and cannot be found anywhere, happened after switching off and re-bootingk

Saved word documents have dissappeared from the desk top after saving. Problem seems to occur when laptop is switched off and then re-started. they can't be found anywhere e.g tried spotlight, recent documents etc. Help. Joe

Not sure about the MS Word message, but it looks like you might need an upgrade. I'd check with Microsoft, or perhaps VersionTracker.com.
Ok, back to the original problem. Does the message have any other text (intelligible or not)?
Does it give you any options, especially "report"? If so, take it, then look via Console for a crash log.
What IS in the system log for the sleep/wake time? There should be a System Sleep, followed by a System Wake, and perhaps another line or two. Anything in that area might be helpful.

When people trying to call, iphone 4s saying switched off

I recently upgraded to the iphone 4s - white 16gb - had for a couple of days, then started noticing things weren't as they should be.
Firstly, when people were trying to call me, they were getting "this persons phone is currently switch off" when it wasn't
Secondly, whenever i connected my phone to in car bluetooth, all tones became disabled and the iphone went totally silent.
Had an appointment at the Genius bar in apple store and received a replacement there and then, now 2 weeks down the line and the same things are happening again.
I have tried doing all the usual recommended steps, i.e restore etc but nothing helps.
I wondered if anyone else had had any similar problems?? When i contacted Vodafone re this, the advisor just said he'd never heard of it before ( yeah thanks for that)
I have read reports of there being a problem with the white phones, how true this is i have no idea........

tbh.....nothing surprises me where Vodafone are concerned these days but i'll give them a ring about the micro sim and see what they say......phone been saying switched off all day today so there is definately a problem.
I may well give the car manufacturer a call although i cant see that the problem lies there as when my original iphone 4 was connected, everything was fine. The problems just started with this new 4s......

875 neo v2 mobo live after switching off

can anyone help..this might be normal BUT im curious when i switch off my computer and it shuts down fully there is still power to my microsft keyboard ..if i press the "f" key i get the green light on ... also my 4 port mini usb hub is still lit up..now as i say this might be normal on this mobo but it wasnt the case with my 875 neo fis2r version 1 mobo ..any light on this subject is welcome

Honestly, I came here with 550W Qtec and was advised this.....I went to Enermax 365 and then Enermax465......I have not looked back.......
They cost twice a QTEC.......but when you think the Qtec PSU could BLOW whole system UP.........twice the price seems OK....

I have read on here that a PRAM reset can cure this problem:
Shut down your Mac.
Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command (⌘), Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
Turn on the computer.
Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys before the gray screen appears.
Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
Release the keys.
