Hello,
I do think that you came to the wrong forum: this is the forum for Adobe Captivate, not for Premiere Elements. Here is the link to the international forum (English)

  • How to get audio into Adobe Premiere Elements 12?

How to get audio into Adobe Premiere Elements 12?
I have filmed an air show with a very good camera JVC pro
And when I pick up the clips in Adobe Premiere Elements 12, it works too, but only without sound.
I think I tried everything for 4 days now.
Sound in my computer works perfectly
I go to where the video files are located and try to run them in VLC or in Nero Kwik so it works fine with both audio and video.
I have checked the sound card.
Yes, I have tried everything so now I'm so tired of this lousy so I'm ready to throw this program at the dump.
It's not normal if you will keep on producing audio for over 4 days at Adobe
The old Elements 9 worked fine. Offer some of would consider developing it again. I do not know how I should do.

On what computer operating system is your Premiere Elements 12 working on? Have you updated it from 12 to 12.1 Update using an opened project's Help Menu/Update. If not, please do so.
    For your immediate problem.
What is the model/settings for the JVC camera that recorded you video. I want to get at the properties of your source video including the file extension.
Since you are getting video, but no audio, please download and install the free codec utility named GSpot to see what is shows
for your Audio Name and Status.
    http://www.headbands.com/gspot/
The other properties of the file there would also be of interest.
When you import your source file into the project, do you see any "conforming" activity going in a progress bar at the bottom right corner of the workspace?
If so, do you wait for it to complete before you move forward in the project?
Can you get sound in any of your Premiere Elements projects with this current JVC file or other?
Can we assume that your troubleshooting has included checking
    a. Volume control within the project
    b. Edit Menu/Preferences/Audio Hardware ASIO
Let us start here and then we can decide what next if necessary.
    Thanks.

  • I lost my audio on Adobe Premiere Elements 12

I lost my audio on Adobe Premiere Elements 12.
All my other programs are working OK
II think one of my settings as changed (my be because of a update)
    I did a reboot a number of times( didn't help )
    I am running Windows 8
    Can you help?

    R.E. Day
Given you have Premiere Elements 12 on Windows 8 64 bit.
Did you update from 12 to the 12.1 Update using an opened project's Help Menu/Update?
What update were you referring to when you said you thought the problem might be related to an update?
We need a lot more details of "lost audio Premiere Elements 12"
Does that mean that, when you import video with linked audio into a project, you only SEE the video portion in Project Assets. No audio file seen in Audio Track 1?
Or, does that mean that, when you import video with linked audio into a project, you see the audio file but it has no sound?
There is another possibility. This is a known issue that is affecting some where sound is lost from the numbered audio tracks and soundtrack when a narration track is created using the program's Narration Tool and added to the project. Is that what is happening in your situation?
Also, did you check the Edit Menu/Preferences/Audio Hardware ASIO setting, Input and Output?
Lots of questions, lots of answers needed to sort through to get to the core of the matter.
Looking forward to your follow up.
    Thank you.

  • No audio on Timeline Premiere Elements 13 and no longer on 12 after upgrading to 13.

On my Mac with OS X Yosemite I've worked with Premiere Elements 12 for a while and it just worked fine. Now I;ve upgraded to Elements 13 and the clips that were fine the other day have now lost there audio when I put them on the Timeline. However if I double click the clip in project assets and play it on the clip monitor everything is fine, but as soon as I send it to the timeline or storyboard the audio disappears. I'm in a spot now as I can't use 13 and neither return to Elements 12. Any ideas will be very much apprexiated.

    Ted
    Momentary detour.....
Could we go over the path
Just a week ago I created a movie with Elements 12 on this same Mac with OS X Yosemite and ij
just worked fine. On second thoughts the movie was a bit too long, so I
imported the saved project to re-edit it, only to find out that the audio
had gone for the greater part of the clips on the timeline. I closed
elements 13 and reopened 12 and the saved project with the same result.
When you got to second thoughts, what did you do....
    a. rebuild the project anew in Premiere Elements 13?
    b. import the Premiere Elements 12 export in Premiere Elements 13?
    c. open the Premiere Elements 12 project in Premiere Elements 13?
I ask since you cannot import one project file into another and you wrote "imported the saved project".
You wrote after the file was drag from Premiere Elements 13 Project Assets to Timeline
only to find out that the audio had gone for the greater part of the clips on the timeline.
What was gone - the representation of the whole audio clip on the audio track or just the sound
for the whole? Was the duration of the clip listed in Project Assets, the same as observed at
    its Timeline level?
If you took this Premiere Elements 13 Timeline (problem audio there) to export, was there sound in the export?
If you create a project in an earlier version, it is often possible to open it in a later version to work with the project in the later version.
But, you cannot open the later version edited project in the earlier project again. So, I was not sure what you were describing when
    you wrote
I closed elements 13 and reopened 12 and the saved project with the same result.
    What saved project?
    Premiere Elements 13 Audio
Please consider deleting the Media Cache Files Folder where the program saves the automatically generated conformed audio.
To locate that Folder, on Windows I could go to Edit Menu/Preferences/Scratch Disks/Media Cache to find location for the Media Cache Files Folder. Is that the
    same for Mac?
Also, please let us know if the flawed Premiere Elements 13 Timeline audio content exports OK or contains the flaws encountered before export.
Again, please excuse if I have included things that you were already aware of. Because of the nature of your issue, I did not want to take anything for grant.

  • How do I correct random audio pops in Premiere Elements 13?

Please help me with this audio issue! I hear occasional pops (skipped words, not smooth narration) in my edit. I shot the footage with a Rode video mic, but have not had this problem with this microphone before, and furthermore the pops appear not on the same marks every time, so it is not embedded in the original footage and therefore I conclude that the original audio quality is fine. At first I thought it was a yet-to-render issue, but after rendering it (while editing), and ALSO after publishing it to my computer to watch a version there, I still here random pops. Once I published it to my computer, the pops were stuck to specific points in the edit, but this is not so when I watch my edit in Elements, the pops are always in different places, and often will not be there when I roll back to try to immediately listen again for a just-heard pop.
Can anyone help with this? How can I smooth out my audio?

    Hi Steve,
    Thanks for getting back
I used a Samsung SMX-F40BP/XEU "Handycam" recording from the the image projected on to a screen. This produced mp4 video files on an SD Card, H.264/AVC Format with AAC Audio
I then dragged and dropped the raw video files on to the PC hard drive, and added the folder to the Adobe Organizer.
    When creating the projects I
    1)     Create a a New Project PAL Standard DV 48KHz to match the 4:3 aspect ratio of the original film
    2)     Drag the video/clip I intend to work with from the organizer window in to the work are of Adobe Premiere Elements 11.
When I was originally doing this yesterday for the first 15 clips, when added to the timeline, the video clips appeared as 1 contiguous clip as in the first image i posted.
When i went to work today I noticed that when i dragged a clip from the organiser to the work area, the video took longer to appear on the timeline, I could see the progress as it was added, with lines appearing where scenes/splits are being automatically added as in the second image I posted.
I noticed first thing that the clips were appearing in the organiser window with different icons, and in some cases I could expand the clips to see all scenes that had apparently been generated automatically. All clips in the orgnaiser now appear with the same icon, and are all expandable.
If i now create a new project and use one of the original clips that originally appeared as 1 contiguous clip on the timeline, it is now split automatically, as with the later clips.

  • How do I edit the video audio in Adobe Premiere Elements 10

I want to edit the video audio, so that I can get rid of some of the sounds and background noises.  Also, how do you import Plug-ins into Adobe Premiere Elements 10?  I have trial versions of Adobe Audition CC and SmartSound.  Thanks in advance for your help!

    woody122
What computer operating system is your Premiere Elements 10 running on? And, very important, what video card/graphics card  does your computer use.
If a NVIDIA GeForce card, then that needs to be looked at first because of the serious and known Premiere Elements 10/NVIDIA GeForce issue which is described in one of the announcements at the top of this forum.
SmartSound is an feature included with Premiere Elements 10. Why are you looking at any trial version of SmartSound?
As for Adobe Audition CC, I was not aware that this is a plug-in. As far as I know, Adobe Audition CC is an application that Premiere CC can integrate with as a CC application which Premiere Elements is not.
    See the following video tutorial
Clean up Premiere Pro audio clips with Audition | Adobe Creative Cloud tutorials
Look at the price tag afterward, probably on subscription rates?
Please check out the Premiere Elements 10 audio effects, especially those related to noise reduction.
Have you looked at the free audio editor named Audacity and its noise reduction opportunities?
Please give more details in support of your Adobe Audition CC being a plug-in if you are confident that it is.
    Thanks.

  • Narration audio not working premiere elements 3.0

The computer is a Pentium 4 PC running Windows XP
with a 1TB HDD and 2 gig ram.  It has been running
Premiere 3 happily for years now with few problems
. WHat now happens is when you try to record a narration
, all screen prompts work as per normal and the VU bar
indicates audio is being received via the headset microphone but when you stop the recording, no audio appears on the timeline.  I have 3 projects running concurrently and on the other 2 projects, narration records perfectly as normal.  Can some sort of corruption in a project cause the narration to not record?  Has anyone else experienced this problem?
    Thanks
    Ross

It could be a number of possible issues.
Is your microphone plugged into your audio card or is it USB connected?
"The mic is plugged into the audio card and works perfectly on two other
projects I'm currently editing.  Also the VU meter shows audio present even
    on the faulty project."
Is there any other audio on your Narration track?
There is no other audio currently on the Narration track.  I tried dragging
a slice of audio from the main audio track onto the Narration track and it
plays back OK.  However it still wont allow you to record Narration onto the
    Narration track.

  • Audio Issue With Premiere Elements 11

I have a project that I have been working on and have exported it to a .mov file just fine a few months ago.  I recently decided to change some clips and add different ones to it.  Somehow in this process my audio stopped exporting!  It's still there and plays just fine in Premiere but not export with the video no mater what format that I save it in.  When exporting, I have double-checked to make sure that the "Export Audio" box is checked.  I've tried replacing the MP3 audio file with a WAV version of it and that didn't work.  I went back to my original project file and now that won't even export the audio.  I also did a test and created a new project with a new video clip and separate audio file and the sound is exporting but cuts in and out.  I did another test and exported a clip that was with it's original audio file from the camera and it was fine.
Does anyone have any suggestions for me?  I'm all out of ideas to try and hair to pull out...
    Thanks.

I'm not sure how that can help me.  The problem is within the file not the player.  I had sent one directly to Vimeo and the audio isn't there either.  Now I just tried again after a reboot and I got audio fo 9 seconds and then in dropped.

  • How do I combine audio tracks in Premiere Elements 7?

My audio cable went bad as I was recording a program on my camcorder. It only recorded one track. Is there a way to combine these two tracks or Copy & paste one track to the other?
    Thanks

I think that John pointed you to, and you found, the PrE forum. Just in case, the method will depend.
Do you have one good channel of stereo? Is the other channel good, but empty, or is there noise in it?
If the former, look into the Audio Effect>Fill Left & Fill Right (choose what you need).
In the case of the latter, I'd edit first in an Audio editing program, like Audacity. There are many ways to get the Audio from your AV file into Audacity, but Importing just the Audio is probably the easiest - basically ripping the Audio from the muxed AV file. I believe that Audactiy can do this. I use Adobe Audition, and it does it easily.
Next, you can delete the bad channel, and dupe the good channel, placing it on the other channel. Save_As 48KHz 16-bit PCM/WAV and Import into PrE.
BTW - PrE will combine all Audio onto the Master Track at Export.
    Good luck,
    Hunt

  • Audio Problem in Premiere Elements 10

I'm using a Zoom Q3 HD Video and Audio Recorder. Currently audio is in PCM format with 48kHz sample rate @ 16bit. When I bring the MOV file into the timeline it speeds up my audio to less than half the original length. Why??

What are the full details of those files?

  • Unsycnonized Audio / Video in Premiere Elements 2.0

    Hi everybody.
I've always had an audio / video problem in PE where, as the video plays, the audio will get further and further behind the video. Now I always just attributed it to something with my computer, because if I pause the video, wait a second, and then play it again, the audio will catch up and I can start the process over again.
But the other day a burnt a DVD of a video and when I started to watch it on my TV, I saw the same thing happening. After about 15 minutes, the audio was a full two seconds behind the video.
The file was downloaded off the internet and is in an AVI format. Can anyone help please?

    Welcome to the forum.
What you are experiencing is OOS (Out Of Sync) and your is dynamic, i.e. drifting. This is common with many source files.
Here is an ARTICLE that will help you find out about your .AVI file.
This ARTICLE will help you work on OOS, but conversion to DV-AVI Type II w/ 48KHz 16-bit PCM/WAV Audio will most often fix it, so you do not have to do the "heavy-lifting."
    Good luck,
    Hunt

  • .ts-files with multiple audio tracks / Premiere Elements 12

    Hello forum,
once more I need a little help please.
I've created successfully a few DVD's, and by now I'm a master in creating my own menue templates , but now I have again some problems.
I imported a .ts file which I recorded on my Sat Receiver. This file contains a video track and 2 audio tracks:
    1. German 6-channel AC3,
    2. English 2-channel AC3 (I can add a screenshot of the file info's if needed).
Now my problem is that I only hear some kind of background sound, music and so on, no voices. So not really one of the tracks I mentioned above.
The file works good when I play them with VLC player, and I'm able to chose the 2 languages there.
What I don't really understand is, I created several DVD's with exactly the same file type, I mean the file info's are identical except the lenght differs for a few minutes.
Is there a way to chose the audio track in Premiere Elements like I can chose it in VLC player? Or is there another way to bring the voices in there?
    Thanks in advance,
    Jessie
My system is a Macbook Pro, 16 GB RAM, 2.5 Ghz, Premiere Elements 12

    Hi ATR,
yes, that's what I meant. It worked without problems with a lot of files in different projects. I made a few screenshots, maybe they help to get it fixed.
This is the file that worked fine:
And this is the one that doesn't work:
By now I haven't changed anything in the settings as I don't know what I could change.
The files that worked came out with the german soundtrack, so I assume 5.1 channel.
I'm really out of ideas now :/

  • Premiere Elements 13 (not Pro), recorded a video with mono mic input (left channel only), need to create 2-channel (left and right) audio track for finished product. Help?

The question says it all. I have been all over the tutorials as well as the menus inside Premiere 13 and cannot find how to edit the audio track beyond basic balance, volume, etc.
I can see the Audio 1 track, shows audio in left channel only, but it will not respond to attempts to select, cut/copy, paste, etc.
Basically I just want to turn one-channel audio into two-channel audio.

    25424...
Sure you do not want to give the Fill Left and Fill Right another try?
According to the Adobe document Adobe Premiere Elements Help | Effects reference
    Fill Left, Fill Right
The Fill Left effect duplicates the left channel information of the audio clip and places it in the right channel, discarding the original clip’s right channel information. The Fill Right effect duplicates the right channel information and places it in the left channel, discarding the existing left channel information. For example, you might use this effect on footage shot with a monaural microphone plugged into only one channel of a camcorder, extending the voice of a speaker from one channel to both.
From what you wrote, your Premiere Pro video seems to be saying the same.
If that Premiere Elements Fill Left or Fill Right is no go, you might want to explore what you can do in this regard using the free audio editor Audacity.
Audacity: Free Audio Editor and Recorder
And, then import the Audacity edited audio back into Premiere Elements project as source media.
    Is the speaker system OK?
We will be watching for your results.
    Thanks for the follow up.

  • Premiere Elements 9 audio issue

Hi, i have an audio issue with Premiere Elements 9.
I just purchased a Dazzle DVC 100. I've captured Video/Audio through Pinnacle Studio no problems.
But when I try to capture in PE9 I only get Video. I have changed every setting i could find under the
audio preferences menus, tried every combination i could but still no audio. Am i missing something?
    Thanks for any help forwarded!
These are the settings i tried.
edit - project settings - playback settings - I've clicked both Desktop Audio/External Device Audio
edit - preference - audio hardware - Default Device - Premiere Elements WDM Sound
ASIO Settings - Input - Realtek Digital Input (selected)
                                                                                                      - Output - Speakers (Realtek High Definition Audio) (selected)
                                                                                                                    - Realtek Digital Output (Realtek High Definition Audio) (selected)
Tried the Default Device: Asio4All v2 setting
This comes up with 2 options Realtek High Def Audio and Dazzle DVC100 Audio Device
I have selected both these still no audio.
    I'm stumped.

Unfortunately the Dazzle is one of those low-end capture units that are pretty much made to work with the video editor that comes with them. Even converting the video won't make it more compatible with Premiere Elements.
As I explain in my books as well as in the FAQs to the right of this forum, the best devices for capturing video for editing your PC are called DV bridges. The best value is the ADS Pyro AV Link, available for about $100 online.
    http://forums.adobe.com/thread/431853?tstart=0
The video it captures load right into Premiere Elements and edit beautifully!

  • Premiere Elements 7: Toggle Take Audio and Video

In Premiere Elements 2, when you dragged a video/audio clip into the "Clip" section of the Monitor, there was an icon at the bottom right of the Monitor named "Toggle Take Audio and Video". There were three variations from using that icon, just video dragged from Monitor "Clip" section, just audio dragged from Monitor "Clip" section or video and audio dragged from the Monitor 'Clip" section. At times, a Shift + S could be used in place of clicking that icon under the Monitor.
In Premiere Elements 4 and 7, I see no such icon for the intended use of just taking video without its audio to the Premiere Elements Timeline. If you go to Premiere Elements 4 or 7, Edit Menu/Keyboard Shortcuts/Application/Help, there is a shortcut there for "Toggle Take Audio and Video", "Take Video", and "Take Audio". If I use Shift +S for any one of them, I cannot get them to function.
I realize that the Preview Window of Premiere Elements 4 and 7 has taken on many of the functions of the Monitor "Clip" arrangement. But, I have tried Shift + S toggling with both the Premiere Elements 4 and 7 from the program's Monitor, Preview Window, Project View Media section without any of that working to bring just video or just audio to the Premiere Elements Timeline.
Does that feature still work in versions of Premiere Elements beyond Premiere Elements 2?
I would appreciate any comments on the matter.
    ATR

    Robert J. Johnston,
    Thank you so much.
I have been laboring for hours trying to get these keyboard shortcuts to work in Premiere Elements 4 and 7. My reasoning was why would they be there if they did not work and I must be overlooking something critical.
