Audio Engine error message

Hey all,
During play back and recording in a a lot of instances, Logic will stop and flash the "audio engine could not process data..." (The Audio Engine Overload Message). I've got 4.5GB of RAM, save my audio to a firewire external hard drive and I have the System Performance window open.
The Disc I/O has nothing in it and the Audio side has the bars lit up intermittent at times, but never going into deep yellow or red.
I have minimal efffects running and on tracks I DO have effects, I run them through a bus/send.
Any ideas?

You at 96 or 88.2 Khz sampling rate by any chance and using something like BFD or other sampled library which is sampled at 44.1?
How many tracks are you playing back?
This is what used to cause my problems because Logic has to up sample those 44.1 libs and it's a lot of work for it if you have something like 8-12 tracks.
If that's not it, my next guess is that your external firewire drive is either too slow or not optimized. I optimize mine constantly using Disk Warrior.

However other mp4 audio files from this same website do work correctly. What can I do to get all the the mp4 audio files to play directly from the same website? Adapter Engine Error Message on RWB

Hello
We are getting an Red color error message on Adapter engine on RWB
monitoring ---> Component Monitoring.
Here is the error message:
SLD access SLD host:port = sap03:50000
Error getting JPR configuration from SLD. Exception: No entity of class
SAP_BusinessSystem for XID.SystemHome.sap03 found
No access to get JPR configuration
Please advise for solving the error message on adapter engine.

As suggested by others there is no problem with your communication channels ,,, the problem you face is because Your DBA has initiated the SHUTDOWN IMMEDIATE command. This will shutdown Oracle and terminate all active operations.
Please tell him to start the services and Wait until Oracle has been restarted by your DBA.

after upgrading to 7.3.1, i get an error message that reads "itunes cannot run because it has detected a problem with your audio configuration". and, consequently, itunes does not open. i have reset my computer to previous settings and have attempted to remove the update. anyone else having similar problem? everything was fine yesterday...

Since iTunes uses QuickTime to play audio/video content in iTunes, that error message most likely indicates that there's a problem with your Quicktime installation.

Weird Audio Configuration Error Message

When I turn on the computer and start up iTunes, everything works fine. The first time. If I close it and then reopen later, I get an error message that says: "iTunes has detected a problem with your audio configuration. Audio/video playback my not operate properly." Program proceeds to open, but I'm unable to play songs. On the Apple site, it said that an answer to a similar (but not identical) error message was to reinstall QuickTime, which I've done. To no avail. Any suggestions? Thanks.

When Audio Console launched, Unable to find audio device error message comes

When I launch audio console, I get an error message saying:
"Unable to find audio device. Please make sure that your audio device is enabled and installed with its driver. This application will be closed."
This can't be right because my soundblaster audigy 2 ZS platinum card is installed, its working, I can hear things etc.
I uninstalled and reinstalled the audio console software package from creative and that fixed the problem for a very short while and it is now reoccurring.
I've had this same setup for several years with no issues, now all of a sudden, this is happening.
Anyone out there had similar challenges?

Most probably you don't have passed the correct root= option to the kernel so that the kernel cannot, as it says, find its root device. Read the wiki page about refind in order to know how to configure it (https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/REFInd). Refind as no fully automatic configuration like grub.

Automator Action "Import Audio Files" error message

I use this automator action daily when it is activated via an alarm time in iCal. It is the 3rd workflow run in a series of 7 worlflows to create audio files while I'm at work (I record XM programming for use later on my iPod). Since I upgraded to OSX Lion yesterday, I'm getting a new error message I've never seen and I can't find any info on it. Can anyone help? The error message in a popup dialogue box is:
The action “Import Audio Files” encountered an error.
Check the actionʼs properties and try running the workflow again.
Under the Log for the workflow I get this message:
The operation couldn't be completed. (OSStatus error -1712.) (-1712)
The imported audio file does actually get inputted into iTunes and converted properly via iTunes, but the error creates two problems. One is the source file isn't deleted after the action runs (which is a checkbox option in that particular action). This isn't a big deal, because I can create another workflow seperately to delete the file, so I'm not as concerned with that. The major problem is that the error dialoge box displays and the sebsequent workflows that are scheduled to run right after this one can't run becasue Automator is occupied with the error message.
I'm looking for any advice I can find, I've been using this series of workflows for a long time without issue, but seems like everytime there is a new OS I have to go through the geriatrics of figuring out what slight changes apple made to the Automator actions.

I just solved the problem pretty easily: earlier, on Snow Leopard, automator had to be set to work in 32bit instead of 64bit otherwise there has been a lot of error messages.
I tried to do the same with iTunes on Lion and, oh miracle, it works:
close iTunes then go to Applications -> right click on iTunes -> read informations -> check the box to run the app in 32bits and restart iTunes and .... that's it.
I work in a local radio in Belgium and I rely on automator on an everyday basis to download then add prerecorded broadcasts to iTunes to be aired with Lion server and I was stuck since a few weeks because of that problem. Now I can finally work again :-)

Dolby Advanced Audio V2 Error Message After Lenovo Update

I received the following error message after completing a Lenovo Update: "The current Dolby audio driver version is 8.2.8000.14 and the software application expects driver version 7.2.7000.7. Please install a valid driver and software application." I have run Lenovo Update again and no updates/downloads were required. What action do I need to take to correct the problem so that Dolby Advanced Audio V2 works correctly? Thank you for your help.

even though it was originally described as an E430 problem, there are reports in the thread that uninstalling Conexant Audio from Control Panel and rebooting fixed the Dolby Audio issue.

KT3 Ultra 2 onboard audio.. error message

Hi everybody:
I recently install a fresh copy of WinXP on a KT3 Ultra2-C board. Originally I installed only one sound card (a Sound Blaster Audigy 2) and everything was ok. No error messages, no bugs.
Today I enabled the "onboard audio function" and after the proper installation of drivers and software for it (Realtek AC'97 Audio for VIA (R) Audio Controller), I'm getting an error message window, opening the Control Panel that says:
"To enable the advanced sound effect for gaming, please make sure the setting of Hardware Acceleration is "full". The directory is as below: Control Panel -> Multimedia(Win98) / Sound & Multimedia(Win 2000, Me) / Sound & Audio Device(WinXP) -> Audio -> Playback/Advance... -> Performance -> Hardware Acceleration."
It opens about 4 times before I get to the CP.
I uninstalled the software and disabled the audio card. I even restore my pc to an earlier time, but I'm still getting this annoying window. Any ideas??
Is not that the machine crashes or something like that, it's only the annoying window...

hi, 2 days ago i had the exact same prob and what i did was download the latest drivers wdm_a3401 and installed these but before i installed these i re-installed direct x 9 and when i restarted the problem had gone away..
ohh i also deleted the directx.cpl file from my system32 folder..
anyway mines sorted now so try what i did and see if it works for you.. gl

Audio Input Error Message

I have AA3 with a built-in Intel high definition audio card, and its drivers are up to date.
When I start the program, the following error message appears: "The audio input is not activated. Recording audio is not possible. Please check your configuration."
I am trying to troubleshoot the problem within the "Audio Hardware Setup" window (see the screenshot below).
It doesn't matter whether I check or uncheck "Release ASIO Driver in Background," the error message still appears.
Thanks for any tips on how to further troubleshoot this error message.

...and since there's no way you'll get an ASIO driver for an internal sound device, the 'Release ASIO driver' message shouldn't make any difference to anything...
One thing you might like to try though is the free ASIO4ALL driver, as a replacement for the 'Audition 3.0 Windows Sound' one. This has better diagnostics, and may give you more of a clue about what your sound device isn't doing. Just Google it - it's easy to find.

5.0.2 Update - Mercury Engine Error Message

I just installed the update. When I opened a project I was working on just before I updated to 5.0.2, I received the following message:
"The project was last used with Mercury Playback Engine GPU Acceleration, which is not available on this system. Mercury Playback Engine Software only will be used."

Are you using one of the "unsupported" CUDA cards? If so, you need to reapply the CUDA hack since the update overwrote the file you had manually modified.

Installscript engine error message

HELP. I Have an ipod shuffle which came with itunes. I have an older version of itunes loaded. I want to upgrade to "7" version but during the install I get the following message:

The thing is, that error message has been appearing when playing/recording a track that was running perfectly a few minutes ago and nothing has changed!
That can mean, that your project is too ambitious for your Mac. Are you using many complicated automations on that track?
4GB memory is not much, when doing audio processing. GarageBand will need all memory it can get, or will be forced to continually swap pages to your disk, to free RAM, and that can cause this error.
When this error occurs, it is best to restart the computer. This will free your RAM. Close all other applications that are competing for memory, i.e. other multimedia applications, and Safari.
Also, make sure, that you have plenty of free disk space. Don't let the free disk space drop below 20G.
Where is your project located? On an external drive or your internal drive? If it is on an external drive, connect this drive directly, not daisy-chained, or move the project to your internal drive.
I got up to eat, came back and tried to continue but GarageBand shuts down and displays that message every time I try to run the song. I've also recently run songs with several more tracks than this one and they worked perfectly. Any tips?

This is the error message that I got when I tried to install the original Realtek drivers! Removed/installed the new WXP media center 2005, everything was fine but the modem and the sound, for the modem no problem but for the sound...(sight) I even downloaded new drivers on the internet and THEY WORKED!
But when I try next time to open my computer I get all the time a blue screen then it shuts down? What is wrong? I got everything original and I followed the step. What should I do?

This document advice to install the KB835221 patch but that is only officially available by talking to Microsoft technical support!
But dont worry buddy. The Google search engine is the key!
Try to search for this KB835221 patch and Im sure you will find the right one!
The required UAA drivers in the Microsoft documents are not included with XP SP2 or SP1, so it's a useful QFE to have around if you want to use newer sound cards like the Realtek HD Audio.
PS: If the Q835221 didn't help then you can also try the updated driver from Microsoft Q888111 article, which has 4 versions depending on your OS and installed service pack.

Error message trying to install new search engines

I am running Firefox 19.0.2 installed yesterday on a new desktop PC at the office. (Old PC failed to boot on Monday.) I have completed most of my customization without difficulty. However, when I try to install new search engines, it doesn't seem to matter which one, I get a pop-up error message:
"Sorry, you need a Mozilla-based browser (such as Firefox) to install a search plug-in."
I had no problems installing new search engines under Firefox 16 3rd quarter of last year when I started this job. Why am I unable to install search engines in FF 19?
