Audio exists but doesn't appear on a timeline (CC '14)

Hi there
I've checked the massege board, however, there's no soultion. Yet.
I have a weird problem: a couple of .h264 files from Canon 5D can be played back through Source Monitor and I can see and hear everything.
BUT!
When I put my clips on a timeline -- there's only video without any sounds, and through Program Monitor only image can be seen.
All other files on the system work fine, excepting those from 5D...
I've never seen anything like that before. O.o
I tried to reinstall Premiere, recovered my system, checked updates and codecs -- nothin'
Does anyone have an idea what the problem might be?

Hi Idzhooi,
In the first screen shot, your audio source in A1 is not patched. Can you try clicking on the A1 source patch?
In the second screen shot, your audio source A1 is patched correctly, so that's why there is audio there.

For the Frame Rate, was it really 29.97 frames per second and you rounded it off to 29 frames per second? Or,
is the frame rate really 29 frames per second?
If the properties that you just posted are representative of your source file, what project preset did you or the
project set for the project preset? If you are not sure, please tell us the readings for Editing Mode, Timebase, Frame Size,
and Pixel Aspect Ratio under Edit Menu/Project Settings/General.

I purchased an audio book, it doesn't appear in my purchased list nor in the audio books list. I have a receipt for it but if I start to down load it again, I get charged. Where did the audio book go and why doesn't ITunes recognize I've already paid?

Audiobooks are currently a one-time only download from the store, so if you download it again then you will be charged - I believe that they are all supplied to Apple by audible.com, so I assume that it's them that are requiring the one-time only download.
Is it still on the device that you downloaded it on (if it was on your iPhone then it should be in the Music app), or do you have a copy on your computer and/or on a backup ? if you created a ringtone, it should appear in the tone menu in itunes.
Is the ringtone 30 seconds or less?
Also I would check the iringer support site to resolve your issue.

Arial bold is loaded on my PC, but doesn't appear in the font picker

Arial is loaded but doesn't appear in the font picker window. I also get the message 'cannot find or create the font arial,bold. some charecters may not display or print correctly.

Yes, it is an opentype font, installed i
n the correct place. As I mentioned before, I am having the same trouble with TrebuchetMS.
I have tried font applications such as font expert and suitcase, still no luck.
The fonts are recognised in applications such as Illustrator.

This is not the iPhoto forum. In any case in iPhoto>Preferences select Mail or whatever email program you are using to email as the desired choice. You are probably sending directly through iPhoto.

Downloaded incompatible app that says is installed on iTunes but doesn't appear on iPad. How to uninstall?

Ended up accidentally installing Monster Hunter on my iPad and now I can't delete it from iTunes since the icon is blank. On iTunes it says it's been installed but doesn't appear anywhere on my iPad. I've checked in the Usage and used third party software to try and find it. How do I uninstall it from iTunes so it says it's not downloaded anymore?

If you connect the iPad to your computer's iTunes and select its Apps tab, then in the listbox of apps what does the button next to that app say ? If 'remove' click on the button and it should change to 'will remove', and then click the 'apply' button bottom right of the screen to remove it. Or if you find the app in the screen mockups on that Apps tab and hover your mouse pointer over the app, does it get an 'x' on its top left corner for deleting it ?
Or, and if you haven't already done it, then you could try a soft-reset and see if you can delete it directly on the iPad after the iPad has restarted : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

On your Windows computer, go to the iTunes Store. On the right column of the iTunes Store under QUICK LINKS, you'll see an option called Purchased. Click on that and you'll see all items that are tied to your iTunes Store account. You should see the U2 album there and you can download it from the cloud. You'll now have a copy stored on your Windows computer.

ITunes loads but doesn't appear

I recently upgraded to the newest version of iTunes (I think 10) and upgraded my iOS for my iPhone to 5 when I reconnected my phone iTunes would not open to get backup files for my iPhone so I was forced to set my phone up as a new iPhone. Yet, iTunes still doesn't open. I can see it in the processes tab of the task manager yet it won't appear on my screen. I've run out of options and read every link on my google searches and apple help pages. Can anyone suggest something? Things I've tried
1. uninstalling iTunes, reinstalling and then restarting my PC
2. Right clicking iTunes > Run as > new user
3. Setting up a new user profile
4. ending iTunes process in task manager and restarting iTunes...appears in task manager as iTunes.exe but does not appear on screen
5. changing startup and services options in msconfig - bonjour, apple mobile device and itunes all ticked
6. right clicking iTunes > Properties > fiddling with user permissions
Connecting my iPhone doesn't seem to work either. I get the 2 chimes when I connect but nothing happens...not even the windows what would you like to do dialog. Has iTunes lost permissions along the way somewhere?

Hi,
check the following things:
1st: Where are you bouncing to, and in which format? Make sure you have selected the correct format, the correct filename and that the filename is the same in the ID3 Tag settings menu within the mp3 bounce dialog, so that you can find the song later in iTunes.
2nd: Look if the song has been added to iTunes with another filename. Also check that in iTunes the option is enabled to copy the new songs into the iTunes Library when importing.
Make sure iTunes is running when you do your bounce.

Anybody else get this? I have been getting this for a while with iTunes updates... There will be updates available but they never appear in the App Store....

Want to remove a podcast that shows on the ipod itself but doesn't appear in the library under itunes

I have a podcats on my ipod touch that doesn't appear in the podcast library that I want to remove. Deleting all the podcasts & replacing them with new podcasts doesn't help. Any ideas?

Go to the apple.com to download the latest iTunes and ipod updater and install accorindingly, then do a Reset of your iPod i.e. Press "Menu"+"Select" keys. Connect it with your iBook and open iPod updater, hope it will allow you to do a Restore. If failed, then press "Select"+"Play" keys to put your iPod in Disk Mode, connect it back with your iBook, open the iTunes and you will able to see your iPod there. Then open the ipod updater and do a restore. You may need to do a few attempts in order to achieve the solution

An existing folder doesn't appear in the library

I don't see an existing folder in my library. I try to import photos into lightroom, but it indicates that they are already imported and they supposedly exist in a particular folder. However, that folder is not showing in my library. Is there a way to correct this? The photo is there but they only way I can see it is to search for it and it will appear.

I don't mean to butt in (DJ Paige is quite competent..), but it's starting to sound to me like your catalog is a-wonk (a tad fouled up..).
You didn't rename the folder outside Lr and change (just the) case, did you? - that can confuse the bee-geebers out of Lightroom (catalog is case-sensitive, sorta/mostly, but disk is not, at all).
I mean, you can always try deleting preferences (.agprefs file in with presets) and see if it helps, but if not, I dunno - maybe somebody else will be more help.
How far back do you have to go for a backup catalog which isn't so wonked?

Iphone charges on my computer, but doesn't appear in itunes devices

My iPhone, which I have used with my laptop before, will now not appear in iTunes, but the phone is charging. I'm not getting any error messages, and the charge is normal - it just won't appear in iTunes. I have the latest version of iTunes.

Yeah, I followed the advice they gave me at http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1591 and I restarted everything. I decided to hook it up to my Windows XP laptop and it began to charge, but then said that the USB device was not working properly. My Mac doesn't give that message. I did a soft reset on the phone, but I'm reluctant to do a hard reset, since the last time I did that I was on the phone with tech support for several hours over the course of several days.
