Audio export AAC only??
I'd like to export a section of my timeline audio to a wave file. Maybe it's me, but i can't find a "workarea" vs "entire timeline" choice - plus there aren't any other format choices except AAC. There is an "import profile" or something, but where would I get that from?
Seems to me in the past versions it was a snap to export a section of audio in any format - or a freeze frame...why would they take away that functionality??
I'm definitly wishing I hadn't upgraded!
Ahhh. i didn't see that option. Thanks.
But why did they make the standard audio only format a lossey one like AAC???
Plus - what if I did need a wav file? Huh? What then???

i make videos using my go pro hd camera, but when i export it only half of my 3 min video shows up with the audio playing in the background, plus when i try to select the quality in the export options it won't let me select 720p or 1080p?????? help!!!
What you could do now is break up your video into smaller parts and render them out, then assemble them again as a whole.
I know this is not the best fix, but it might work.
You can duplicate an edit in the main screen, then delete the last bits and export,
do the same for the other half.
Then import the two bits (or more if you need) in a new edit.
Out of curiosity, can you post what format the video is in?
Copy a video straight from the camera to your computer.
Open it in Quicktime player, and with out playing type Apple + i
or Control + i for PCs
It should tell you lots of info about the video, and might help us to see what is wrong.
This is what it looks like: -
Premiere Pro CC has been working fine until today. I have completed my sequence and it is active. I have both audio and video checked when I am exporting using H.264 with Match Source Hi bitrate. I am choosing entire sequence. The audio exports but the video and title does not. Can anyone tell me how to troubleshoot this so I can complete this project? Please!
Greetings,
I've never seen this issue, and I handle many iPads, of all versions. WiFi issues are generally local to the WiFi router - they are not all of the same quality, range, immunity to interference, etc. You have distance, building construction, and the biggie - interference.
At home, I use Apple routers, and have no issues with any of my WiFi enabled devices, computers, mobile devices, etc - even the lowly PeeCees. I have locations where I have Juniper Networks, as well as Aruba, and a few Netgears - all of them work as they should.
The cheaper routers, Linksys, D-Link, Seimens home units, and many other no name devices have caused issues of various kinds, and even connectivity.
I have no idea what Starbucks uses, but I always have a good connection, and I go there nearly every morning and get some work done, as well as play.
You could try changing channels, 2.4 to 5 Gigs, changing locations of the router. I have had to do all of these at one time or another over the many years that I have been a Network Engineer.
Good Luck - Cheers,

Where I find this audio-export-format? AAF embedded, with 75fr handles
Hi!
I have a problem with Adobe Premiere Pro CC (I have the trial version). I need to export a project in this specific format:
audio: AAF embedded, with 75fr handles
video: H264, 720p
It's not a problem to find H26, 720p, but I can't find the AAF embedded, 75 fr handles for audio (I can only find AAC).
Can anybody please help me?
/ JulieFile>Export>AAF...
But I can find no way to specify handles. -
I have video clips with 4 channels of audio, I can only hear audio recorded on channel one, how do I hear the other channels......?
What version of Premiere Elements and on what computer operating system? Elements 13 on Windows 7
What is the brand/model/settings of the camera that recorded these videos? ony PMW 320
When you import them into your Premiere Elements project, what does Premiere Elements Properties for that import give for
the audio description in the way of number of channels? If you open the Audio Meter (Window Menu/Audio Meters) and you play back
the video in the Premiere Elements Editor, how many channels does the Audio Meter display?
I just drag and drop video and when playing back only channel 1 will appear
What is your intended export for this video in terms of audio as well as video compression and formats? MP4
I think you can only use audio if it's recorded on channel 1 or it does not recognize it.
Thanks for the help if possible,Kevin416 873 8374 -
Hi
I'm fairly new to CS4 and have picked up an audio export problem, more than likely with a setting of sorts. For some reason when I export to MPEG2 -DVD via the Media Encoder, the video portion is fine as well as any audio that has been placed and edited on tracks audio 1 and 2 in PP. However, if there is additional audio placed on tracks 3 or 4 for example (say a music MP3 overlay) then this does not come out ... only audio placed on tracks 1 and 2 in PP come out. I have checked the obvious like making sure the tracks aren't muted etc but to no avail. Also tried changing from PCM audio to MPEG ... Stereo to 5.1 mixdown ... nothing doing.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks and regards

SAThanks Harm ... got SnagIt and with a few helpful YouTube tutorials ... am in business. Hunt and John, also thanks ... the other method equally as good. Now, I have attempted to attach my screen shot which should display my CS4 timeline and associated audio monitor windows above. By the way, this was for a wedding and as indicated, you will notice an MP3 lying in audio track 3 which as mentioned is my problem as it is not audible after render via Media Encoder. But remember, the moment I slip this MP3 up into audio track 1 or 2 above ... problem solved. I know there must be something small like a setting gone wrong or incorrect. As mentioned, any help would greatly appreciated.
Thanks to you all.

Multichannel audio export in Premiere Pro CS 5
Anyone know how to get a multichannel audio export from CS5 - I can find plenty of tutorials on CS6 or CC but not 5, which seems to have "16 Channel" as a sequence option (not "Multichannel") - and when it comes to export there is no Multichannel option - only Stereo, mono, or 5.1
(I have 3 stereo tracks which I'd like to be able to export as 3 separate audio tracks contained within a quicktime file)Jim thanks for listening. The same file card XCAM removed, placed in timeline premiere CS4, appears the 4 separate mono audio channels, quabdo put in timeline premiere CS5.5, it arquivoMP4, so put a audio channel.

Multichannel Audio Export (.aif, .wav)
Hi everyone, I just submitted a feature request and want to encourage anyone who would like this feature to do the same (or, if I've somehow missed a way to actually do it, to tell me how - I've searched extensively on here, Google, Creative Cow, etc. though and am positive it can't be done).
I'll just paste what was in my request. Hope this is something that can be added in the very near future...
Multichannel audio file export
Ability to output .wav or .aif files with multiple channels.
I work on a Mac, and we sometimes have to output multichannel audio files to send to clients for international distribution, specifically 4 channels (stereo mix L+R, music + effects L+R). The only way to do this out of Premiere/Media Encoder is as a quicktime .mov with no video. This isn't ideal as clients are requesting either .aif or .wav files.
This ability exists in Compressor for .aiff files, but I'm trying to avoid going back to Apple's suite as much as possible. It's irritating to have to output audio files separately from Premiere then open up Final Cut and output to Compressor to get a final, proper 4-channel audio file.
This is significant as we're looking to replace my computer soon and I'm pushing to go with a PC, where I'd no longer even have the option to go back into Compressor to do this.
For the record I also tried doing this through Audition which ironically seems to have even fewer audio exporting options than Media Encoder. It seems like a really simple feature that is lacking for no apparent reason..please include it ASAP, thank you.
Link to the feature request page: https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/mmform/index.cfm?name=wishform
For the record, I know that for all intents and purposes, the Quicktime .mov audio file works fine. But it's still a pain, doesn't open properly in some players, and dealing with clients who use different software (Avid in this case) and don't have much experience handling this type of stuff and are specifically requesting .wav or .aif/.aiff; it's not my place to be their tech support, it's mine to deliver what the client wants. And it seems ridiculous to me that Compressor supports this with ease but Premiere/AME don't...Hey Jim, are you on CC? I'm stuck on CS6 at work until we do a full hardware upgrade, they're waiting on real info on Maverick/new Mac Pro before making any decisions.
If this is a feature of CC now well..foot in mouth, I guess. Would still be nice in CS6 though.. I notice in your screenshot the source sequence says "multichannel", in mine it says "16 channel". -
I'm working in FCPX 10.1.1. I'm exporting from a timeline that is 1hr, 3 mins in length. I'm doing a range selection of just 10 minutes and then exporting that range selection to Audio only in AIF format. I get an error message that "Share Failed". But Final Cut actually did export an AIF file to the designated folder however it exported a file that is 4hrs, 8 mins in length. Its exported the entire timeline plust 3 some hours of silence. And yes, I double checked my timeline, there are no stray elements past the 1 hr, 3 min. mark. Not to mention it didn't export my range selection. Anyone else having this problem??
I then setup of a Compressor destination for AIF and tried exporting via that preset and it yeilded the same results, an AIF file that was 4hrs, 8 mins. in lenght. To add insult to injury, I've run into yet another FCPX glitch. I have two laptops, both running OS 10.9.2, and both are running FCPX 10.1.1. I decided to disconnect my external drive and try this audio export on my other laptop. However, when I launch FCPX, it doesn't even recognize that the drive has any FCPX Events or Project files on it. How can that be??? How do I get FCPX to recognize the Events and Projects?? This is really confusiing since they were created on another laptop with identical OS and software versions.

Soundtrack Pro AAF export resolution only at 16bit?
Hi
Can anyone confirm to me that the latest Soundtrackpro 2.0.2, audio AAF export is only available in 16bit resolution and not in 24bit resolution?
Thanks!
XskeFinally found the answer. The recording was done at 48, the audio/MIDI settings were set to 48, but the sampling setting on the export was not, causing everything else to break down. Once all three matched the export worked and the playback audio worked without opening the clip editing screen.

Exporting video holds on the second 'clip', but audio exports correctly
i'm exporting a project from imovie, i have a number of clips in there (which was originally a single video, but split up) and an audio track. when i first exported it as 'web', it worked fine, but when i tried to increase the quality settings via exporting to quicktime, it exports video up until the end of the first clip, and then just holds on that frame until the end of the video. the length is correct, and the audio exports correctly, but the video is just still.
any thoughts?EmmaBean
What version of Premiere Elements and on what computer operating system is it running? Have you created the narration in Premiere Elements
using the Narration Tool? Do you have the problem in the export if you move the narration clip to one of the numbered Audio Tracks before export?
Are you using the SmartFix feature in this project? If so, have you checked your background foreground settings?
But, before that, is the sound on all the audio tracks OK when evaluated in the Edit area? Is the sound a problem only in the export?
If you are having sound problems in the Edit area before export, are you adjusting the volume while viewing the Audio Meters
typically found under Window Menu/Audio Meters.
Let us start here and then decide what next.
Any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
Thank you.

Basic audio export settings questions ...
I did some searching, but still confused. My footage is 1080i, 29.97 captured on a consumer camcorder with a 5.1 channel microphone. When I drop the clips in PP I see the audio track labeled as 5.1 and can expand to see the various channels. I have a number of sequences in my project, all of which were created by dragging a source clip to the New Item icon.
On export for say H.264 Blu-ray or H.264/.mp4 should I pick PCM or Dolby in this case? From reading it looks like PCM is uncompressed, so in theory higher quality. I didn't know if the 5.1 stuff has implications here.
Drilling down into the Audio tab and Basic Audio Settings on the H.264 Blu-ray export, I only see Stereo listed to the side of Channels for either audio format. I'm confused as I would have expected to see 5.1 or some option for it. Well, I think ...You'll have to pay to get 5.1 Dolby export out of PP. Only stereo is included for free.
