Audio fault when copying an AEP

Hi guys,
I've been having an issue with audio in After Effects, to make it simpler I'll explain the process of what I have to do.
I receive an edited sequence in premiere, which I then split into multiple compositions in one AEP file in After effects.
Once all the shots are in After Effects I collect the files into one folder (using File>Dependencies>Collect Files)
I then copy the entire folder over onto a server so a team of animators can work on different compositions, they each copy the AEP onto their own drives and work on different compositions.
My problem is every now and then the audio in a composition won't match the original audio given, I've checked the AEP on my computer and the audio is perfect, so somewhere along the line the audio is getting changed, I was just wondering if this is a known issue with copying AEPs across computers?
All computers are running on the latest version of after effects, I make the AEPs on an iMac, 16 GB ram, 64 bit, 3.5 GHz Processor late 2013 model on OSX 10.9.5 Mavericks. The animators work on i7 4GHz Processor, 32 GB Ram, 64 bit, Windows 7 Pro SP1.

Segmentation faulting when copying text from various programs.

Greetings, I have had this issue ongoing for months now. I have done several re-installs and the problems will eventually come pack. Now I am not ruling out hardware as I am RMAing the motherboard as that is the only thing left remaining. This is my work PC and I get the errors below when I copy text out of Evolution, Pluma and Remmina are the primary offenders. But I get core dumps or unrecoverable hard locks also from Firefox, Chrome, when I try to change themes or click modify settings in Virtualbox when a VM is running. The problem in Evolution, Pluma and Remmina I can recreate on demand to always give the error above. The others I have to switch to another virtual terminal and reboot. I have done several fresh installs. Now my PC at home is the exact same hardware minus the motherboard. I can pull my drives from this PC and move it to my home PC and the problem does not carry. I can even move all my hardware (yes everything) minus the motherboard and the problem still does not carry over. So more than likely the problem, if it is hardware, is the motherboard.
I have not updated in the past 15 days as updating any package does not fix the issue nor does re-installing the packages the error points to. I run Mate as a desktop environment currently, with GDM as my greeter. In case this is not hardware I am posting this to any open suggestions. I can obtain more logs if requested or provide the hardware specs if that will help. Thank you in advance for any help/suggestions. If this is posted in the wrong area also please let me know.

I have run RAM test inside this machine and the same RAM in my home machine on various occasions. No errors. I ran them 1 at time and all together. But as a test I also but that RAM in my home machine and the issue did not repeat. Meaning I actually swapped all my hardware(processor, RAM, hard drives and cabling). Now I only ran it for a day. But I can easily on the work machine make the error happen on demand.

HP LaserJet MFP M476dw paper size mismatch when copying or scanning from ADF

We have HP Color LaserJet MFP M476dw that has an issue when copying or scanning from the ADF.
Put a single A4 sheet in the ADF and choose copy, with all settings correct & no resizing, and the output copy is moved down the page (increased top marging by a couple of inches).
My initial thoughts were a paper size issue (e.g. treating A4 as Letter or vice versa) but all settings look correct. I have even done a reset and started over and the problem remains.
If I take the original and place it on the flatbed and copy from there with all the same settings then it works fine.
There is a similar issue when scanning from the ADF. Again, scanning from the flatbed works fine.
I've tried all I can think of. Does anyone have any further suggestions? Could it be a fault in the ADF?

No clue why the final processes have suddenly started to take so long. Two things I'd try: a) capture from an older tape to see if some problem with the new tape is at fault. And b) check the health of your RAM and the hard drive.
The red frame sounds a bit like a glitch we used to have in OnLocation (actually in its predecessor HDV Rack) which was caused by a partial GOP. But that was a product of HDV Rack recording from the live video stream. It turned out that HDV cameras intentionally interrupt the data stream for an instant upon starting to record--specifically to avoid recording a partial GOP to tape. So my gut says that the tape has partial GOPs at the points where you stopped/started recording.

     I have noticed that 13GB of photo's only equals around 3GB on the iPad and iPhone. I noticed the same thing with audio. Although, I do not notice the compression with video.
     My question is, how do I stop it from compressing photo's if I want to? I understand it saves space, but what if I wanted to email the full size photo to someone. This also may defeat the purpose of some editing programs. I would like to know how to do the same with audio.
     It does not affect the original files in anyway, correct? Also, I using the manual drag and drop option for Movies and audio. I sync with the photos.

With syncing photos you can't change how they are synced, iTunes will 'optimise' them when copying them over to the device - and no, the original photos on your computer are not affected, iTunes creates separate 'optimised' versions of the photos on your computer and copies those over.
If you want the original versions of the photos on your iPad then (and if there were only a few that you wanted full-scale) you could email them to yourself and use 'open in' in the Mail app to copy them to the Photos app, or use the camera connection kit with your iPad to copy them via an SD card to it - photos copied via the kit are copied full resolution, they aren't changed.
Or there are third-party photo management apps such as Photo Manager Pro which can copy photos to/from your computer via the 'file sharing' section on the device's Apps tab in iTunes, they will be copied as-is - that app can also copy photos to/from it and the Photos app.
For your music, on the device's Summary tab when connected to your computer's iTunes, under the Options heading have you currently got the 'convert higher bit rate songs to ...' set ?

Best Codec for good audio/video when exporting to 3G in FCP

I have FCP 6.06. I have a few videos I've tried converting to 3G using Quick Time Conversion and every setting: Default, 3GPP - Release 5, 3GPP2 - Release A, 3GPP - Mobile MP4, 3GPP2 - EZmovie and AMC - EZmovie. Every one has blurry video and poor quality audio both when I play it on my computer and after I copy it to my phone. Any ideas why and how I can improve the quality of the video and audio which looks good in FCP before conversion.

File when copied , is having the current timestamp instead of original time

I am copying a file file-1(x-date) from server-A to Server-B. when the file-1 is copied to server-b, the size and everything remains fine but the timestamp changes to current timestamp.(Y-DATE)
my issue : I want to the file when copied to have original time-stamp(X-DATE)
any idea why this is happening ???

Dave I'm glad to say that it works perfectly but I'm embarrassed to say that my 12 year old nephew hooked it up in about 10 minutes.
If you have the Kanex Mini DisplayPort cable it will work, what confused me was changing the display settings in System Preferences,
and dragging the mac screen from the mac onto the tv. Sorry I cant be more helpful but you have the right cable now you need a 12 year old nephew.

For global alerts, yes:
There is no need to do anything before the alert appears, and the MBA will not lose data should it go to sleep. If it goes to sleep at 0% you still have several hours to plug it in before it shuts down.
I wouldn't even bother displaying the percentage value.

It sounds like one of your preferences has changed.
Go to preferences > audio > general, and make sure "track mute/solo" is set to "CPU saving (slow response)". It is probably set to "Fast " at the moment.
This setting (fast) basically causes immediate muting from the channel strip while your song is in play. This is because the audio is still being read from the hard drive, but the channel strip is simply muted.... like a hardware mixer. When set to "CPU saving", the audio from that track, when muted, is actually stopped from streaming from the hard drive, but there is a couple second delay before the audio is actually muted.
One would think that the fast setting is generally preferable, except when you need to do what you are doing. The only way to keep duplicate copies of channel strips acting independent of one another is to leave this setting on the "CPU saving" setting.

Error when copying files using WebDav web folder

When copying a large group of files/folder to a 10gAS portal page we are randomly seeing the error: "An error occurred while copying some or all of the selected files" in Windows Explorer. Clicking "ok" will resume the file copy process.
The only error I see in the Apache log is:
[Mon Aug 2 18:00:06 2004] [error] OraDAV: Apache/OCI Error -9999/0: ORADAV: LOB was closed with active write operation
Any suggestions? I couldn't find anything on metalink, though i have logged an iTAR as well.

My AirPort Extreme card was replaced on my MacBook by Apple. Prior to this, I was getting odd errors like the one outlined above. I do not receive this issue anymore, and I think I can attribute it to the hardware issue with the card.
