Audio file "No Effects#43.aif" not found! error

GarageBand is a hobby. More than Apple TV. I hate using GarageBand. 50% of the time GarageBand decides to delete the audio file inside of the package, making the previously stated error occur. That file doesn't go to the trash it dissappears. How do I fix this problem that a Fortune 500 company has in their annually paid software. Hmm, Apple? Really? An error that deletes the recorded audio? Someone should slap you in the face.
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks!

After talking with Apple and doing a little research myself I found that the problem was that the original template file that I was reading and then doing a save as with dated back to 2009. This file probably didn't upgrade correctly and caused the error. After creating a new 100% iLife 11 file the issue has gone away.
Solution: make sure that your file is 100% new, and not reused from a previous version.
Apple, I am sorry, I take back those unkind remarks... But maybe next time make sure that files can be upgraded correctly.

  • Getting prompt "Audio file "Male Voice#16.aif" not found", upon app startup

    Hi -
I've been using GarageBand for podcasting for the last couple of years. But it seems to be acting funky:
For the last couple of uses, I've gotten the prompt "Audio file “Male Voice#16.aif” not found." Where would this file be found? I went as far as to try reinstalling but it didn't work.
This morning, while trying to record bumpers, I recorded my voice, only to find it recording at a much deeper register than usual. I had no effects on it, but it sounded as though the pitch was being bent somehow. Also, while recording my voice, I usually have the monitor on (while listening through headphones), and couldn't hear the background music that I use to assist in timing.
Any ideas on how to fix these issues?
I'm not sure if the two things are related, or not. I just need to get it fixed. I've tried reinstalling, to no avail.

"Audio file “Male Voice#16.aif” not found."
did you copy and paste between projects?
recording at a much deeper register than usual.
    what equipment are you using?
couldn't hear the background music that I use to assist in timing.
were any tracks soloed or muted? have you deleted any tracks?

  • "Audio File "Recording#27.aif" not found" Error Message- Please HELP!

    Hi Everyone-
I was opening a podcast today to finish editing it and I got this error message, "Audio File "Recording#27.aif" Not Found" - and, naturally, when I opened the project, half of a phone interview was missing (or, rather, it shows up as purple balloons but each one says "File Not Found" inside). This file is the audio from the interviewer (the interviewee file is totally fine, as are all others in the podcast). When I load the project it asks if I want to search for this missing file, but when I click yes it says that it can't be found.
How can I find this file? What happened to it? Thank you for any ideas, suggestions, etc. For reference, I'm using GarageBand 3.0.4 on a MacBook Intel Core Duo 2Ghz and Mac OS X 10.4.11

no, GB wouldn't delete anything on it's own. it only deletes files for which you've deleted the entire region from the timeline and then saved
if the file is not within the projects, i'm afraid it's gone, and i can't think of any way that could happen by itself B-(>
Well i guess I should warn others that copying and pasting is very dangerous stuff! I had two podcasts- in podcast #1 GB saved the interview file as "Recording#27.aif" and in podcast #2 GB saved a little intro clip under the same name. When I pasted the intro clip from podcast #2 into podcast #1 my interview disappeared. I didn't delete it- I was never asked about it, I didn't delete the region from the timeline, etc. I have to assume that since they had the same name, GB thought I no longer needed the "Recording#27" from podcast #1 and now I can't find it anywhere! If anyone has any suggestions as to how I could find this file I would be very appreciative.

  • File Download - HTTP 404 Page Not Found Error

    Dear All,
I have using file download facility for my application and it is working on my development server well.
What all I have done is created a procedure for that and then give EXECUTE permission to APEX_PUBLIC_USER.
In my development server I didnt change "wwv_flow_epg_include_mod_local" function.
    It working fine.
Now I have moved my application to new server and then in there creates the same procedure and give grants to APEX_PUBLIC_USER.
But when I try to use download files it shows "HTTP 404 - The web page cannot be found" error.
I have compared link pattern and all other things against my development server and everything works fine.
I have already followed all the post with same issue and tried all the solutions they provided as well. But no luck..
If anyone has any idea please help me to solve this.
I am uisng Apex 4.0.2.00.07 with Apex Lister in both environments
    Thanks,

I am trying to download an image stored in the blob column , I have created the procedure, grant execute to public, create public synonym,
followed the steps in the doc but still with the error :
    HTTP 404 Not Found
I have fixed the call to procedure without using the Item, but still not working.
trying to run the page directly, but it is not working.
    the branch :
    mrosa.download_my_file(1)
    Branch to PL/SQL Procedure

    Any help I appreciate.
    thanks.

  • Using file adapter, got "Sender Agreement not found" error

I used file adapter in my CC and defined all the necessary objects. When I tried to test the configuration and I kept getting "Sender Agreement" error.
Also the chache is cleared too, searched the forum already, couldn't find any clue
Not sure what I did wrong

    Hi,
First things first, ensure you have an agreement for each single Communication Channel you have
and that they are correctly associated.
If they are created and associated, you may try the cache refresh with the link:

  • Query string read as part of file name, throwing not found errors

Hi all, I host a number of Web sites under a CF7 installation, Win2003.
One site in particular is throwing not-found errors in response to certain search bot requests.
In the IIS log, I noticed that for these requests, the query part of the URL is part of cs-uri-stem field value, but is not in the cs-uri-query field where it belongs:
    cs-uri-stem=                                               /index.cfm?template=24hour5.cfm
    cs-uri-query=<blank>
    instead of
    cs-uri-stem=                                               /index.cfm
    cs-uri-query=template=24hour5.cfm
Evidently something somewhere is interpreting the entire URL as a filename, instead of a file name and a query string. When CF tries to locate the file it is throwing a not-found error.
Maybe there is something weird about the question mark, but it looks normal to me.
I can't seem to stop this error, since it is occuring at the OS, IIS, CF or jrun layer. Does anyone have any idea what is going on here, and what I can do about it?
    Thanks in advance.
    Joe

    Hey Reed, thanks for responding.
I have a Cf utility that parses logs, so I modifed it to print out the ASCII codes for each character. They look normal, as far as I can tell. The question mark has a code of 63 which is correct, and no non-alphabetic characters precede or follow.
One interesting thing is that the stem being called is an index.cfm file, and the query string argument happens to be a template name, and it ends in .cfm. That's why it is making it all the way to CF, which chokes on it, instead of IIS logging a 404 error.
Often an identifiable bot is requesting these bad URLs, though I have spotted another request with agent 'Mozilla/4.0.' I suspect that is some kind of automated scan. (I also see other requests with the same agent name, though a different IP, that look like errononeously URL-encoded requests. These get filtered by URLScan.)
I don't know for sure is whether the specific clients that make these bad calls always make them them wrong way. They appear to. Most clients that access the site do so normally.
I wonder if there could be something in the request header, perhaps that instructs IIS to expect a different charset than what is actually used, or something like that.

  • Sudden "HTTP 404 Not Found" Error

I have been able to get my application to launch several times successfully. Late Friday and today, however, when I start up a new deployment of the application to view further changes I've made with a a fresh war file, I get a Page Not Found error when I try to view it. I am following hte same steps that worked previously.
    How do I fix this?

    Hi
Check your server and log files. See all the log files. May be your application is not deployed or had deployment errors. Or server may be crashed. If you have admin details, login into weblogic console and see if your app is deployed and is Active. If you cannot login into console, it means server is killed. See the log files for more details.
    Thanks

  • Audio file "Male Narrator Noisy#05.aif" not found.

I just spent five hours editing a particularly annoying recording for a client. The project was saved and I was just about to export it when GB crashed. When I re-opened the file, I get this message:
"Audio file “Male Narrator Noisy#05.aif” not found."
This .aif contained 90% of the edits. I've look under the "media" folder inside the .band file and it's not there. I've searched my hard drive, trash, etc, can't find this missing file.
Can anyone tell me if it's recoverable at all or do I need start from scratch?

One thing I learned to do a while back was to avoid editing the original recording. I always create a copy of the original and edit the copy. That way if anything horrible happens (which often does), I have a backup.
In this case I did the following:
    1. Right-click on the .band file for the original recording.
    2. Select "Show Package Contents".
    3. Open up the media folder.
    4. In there I found the .aif file which was missing from the copy .band project.
    5. I simply pasted that into the media folder for the copy project and PRESTO! all of my edit returned.
Hope that helps and that you have the original file on the hdd.

  • Audio file "Recording#01.aif" not found.

I recorded some guitar into garage band and then copied it into a new document and deleted the tracks from he original one. Now when I open the garage band file with the copied guitar tracks, it displays a message saying "Audio file “Recording#01.aif” not found."
Is there a way to find these sound files again, so that I can hear and edit them again?
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Steve

  • Audio file 'recording#10.aif' not found (message)

When I try to open any garageband files that contain real instrument recordings(purple recordings) I recieve a message saying "Audio file 'recording#10.aif' not found, or any other recording number... When the computer prompts me to search i tell it to, and then it comes up with the message "16 invalid region(s) changed!"
I have found the original recordings in the finder and have tryed putting them in the garage band folder...
Is the problem that the recording files have maybe changed location in the finder? If so, where does garageband send the files after they are recorded so that I can return them to there original locations?
    Thanks a lot guys.

I once spent three days (long days) trying to track down and beat an "invalid region" problem, I finally had to admit defeat, nothing I tried could solve it.
where does garageband send the files after they are recorded
They are stored within the project you create. There are no scratch files.

  • Audio file "086_Grand_Piano2_ped_f.aif" not found!

Garageband keeps telling me that most of my instruments can't be found. The message "Audio file “086Grand_Piano2_pedf.aif” not found!" comes up on 50% of my instruments but with different .aif files. The files are the ones telling Garageband what sound it should give the MIDI signal coming from the keyboard.
I have a Yamaha USB keyboard attached to my 13" MBP running OSX 10.6.5 and iLife '09. I have no idea where the files have gone since i havent been using GB for a few months until yesterday when the problem started occurring.

This looks like your Instrument Library is not okay. It sits in HD/Library/Application Support/Garageband. What do you see there?
Maybe it makes sense to re-install GB completely.

  • EXS 24 instrument ''steinway Piano.exs '' Audio file '' stw per v1 024.AIF '' not found)....

    The Issue :
The steinway piano. exs can be seen in 'Library/ Application Support/ Logic / sampler instruments / Acoustic pianos - when double click on it ''Can't be open''
    c
    Same in Garageband & MainStage
When launching Logic pro , Garageband or MainStage : EXS 24 instrument ''steinway Piano.exs '' Audio file '' stw per v1 024.AIF '' not found)..
After having spoken on phone to a technician (Apple support ) ,i followed his instructions which was to ''  Download Additional Contents via the Logic Pro menu:'' ( I've Downloaded twice already) but the issue was unresolved  ( '' EXS 24 instrument ''steinway Piano.exs '' Audio file '' stw per v1 024.AIF '' not found)..
Then last night i tried :  Via the LOGIC PRO MENU : Click on '' Download Additional Content  then select ''Logic Pro & Mainstage Essential Contents'' click install .
It took about 2 hours and finally afterwards  when loading song in logic pro ; steinway piano was still there but this time it worked  same for Garageband & MainStage.

"Additional Contents" I don't even know what that is? What app is it for?
