Audio file not playing when previewed or pulised on only one slide

I have one slide that the audio will not play unless the you click on the play button in preview or when published. All other slide audios are working fine and will play automtically when the next button is clicked on the previous slide. I have tried changing the name of the audio file, deleting the sled and the fiel and staring over etc. the audio file were created in another program and then brought into Captivate but thia has not been a problem with any other production up to this point. Any suggestions?

Hype widget; audio won't play when previewing on iPad

I've come across a strange 'bug' in iBooks Author. Hope someone can help.
I made a widget using Tumult's Hype software. It has multiple scenes, audio and animated text. When previewing the widget in Hype everything works fine. But here comes the strange part;
When I insert the hype widget in an empty iBooksAuthor book the animation and audio works fine when previewing on my iPad2. But when i insert the widget in my iBook, wich has already ten pages filled with text, reviews, etc., the animation work, but the audio won't play when previewing on my iPad.
People from Tumult helped me, but were not able to fix this.
So in an empty book the widget from Hype works fine, but when inserting the widget in a book that has some pages the audio won't play! How can i fix this?

Powerpoint - audio file not playing

Hi I created a PP presentation using PP 2010 and I inserted an audio file to play automatically throughout the whole presentation. I email it to a friend and it plays perfectly on her computer at home. However, when she tries to play it on her laptop at
school (they have Office 2007) the music doesn't play at all.
I've told her to delete the audio file and insert it again but it still isn't working - any suggestions?

What's the format of that audio file? Convert its format to .wmv and re-insert it.
Please copy the audio file onto desktop and directly play it through Windows Media Player, does it work?

Audio file not playing - CS6 After Effects

I am taking a Motion Design class and the .mov file that has the audio clip I need was provided by the instructor and worked in class using CS5 After Effects. When I try to work on the movie at home, the audio file does not play. Does the audio file have to be a different file format to work with CS6?

Podcast Audio Files Not Playing In Browser

I have a music podcast on my site, built by iWeb8. On my last podcast addition I published to folder and opened the site from the folder on my machine. Everything was fine except the browser would not play the MP3 files (VBR) of the podcast. I can open and play these files with quicktime but it does not work when viewing via the browser.
These files also play in iWeb.
Any ideas or suggestions?

I think that everybody but Apple agrees that QuickTime is not the best way to play audio files on the internet.
The statistics show that over 90% of surfers have flash.
If you're having problems with Firefox, what chance have you got with IE?
iWeb '08 coverts your MP3 files to .MOV.
'09 seems to have addressed this issue.
I stopped using QT about a year ago. This simple flash player is easy to implement and has the advantage of buffering....

Audio File Not Playing

Morning All,
A few weeks ago I took a load of video and audio footage for a video I need to make for work.
I did exactly what I have done in the past - set 2 cameras up for visual and use an external clip on mic, plugged in to a Dictaphone for audio.
I then drop all the files into PP and edit away. Everything has worked fine in the past.
Anyway, a couple of weeks ago, having done the same thing, I noticed that the Audio from the Dictaphone would not play back in PP. It works fine in everything else (Window Media Player, iMac Media Player, After Effects etc). The audio from the cameras play back, it's the audio only file from the Dictaphone that wont. Everything on the PC is up to date, in fact, I have since had a new PC.
I'm honestly struggling to figure out why the audio file will not play!

Another tiny update. I have found a .WAV file at 176kbps which plays (I think this came from a different source). The .WAV files I'm having problems with are 384kbps.
The dictaphone has the option of recording at the following:
32kbps
64kbps
128kbps
192kbps
384kbps
But as highlighted before, I have used the 384kbps files before without any issues.

Audio files not playing

When I export a Keynote project as a Quicktime movie, the audio file becomes a separate quicktime file. Documentation says you can discard it, but when i do that, the audio won't play with the main movie.
And when I email the main movie, the audio doesn't go with it.
Anyone know how to fix?

I always export the Keynote project to QT and import
the QT movie into Garageband (soundtrack). Then I
choose the music and "export to file..."
Then you get a QT movie with the sound you need!

Do you mean play when you select the patch? If so, select the Action menu (top right of waveform display), then select "Start on Patch Change."

Captivate 3 Text/Audio NOT playing when previewed

I am able to see text boxes and hear the audio by playing the slide in edit mode but when I go to preview - no matter how - they do not present themselves. The timing of the slide is still the same length as if they did play (i.e. 60 seconds of text/audio in edit mode...60 seconds of silence and blankness in preview mode).

Audio files not playing correctly on website.

My husband's website just was rebuilt and we are both having trouble with his recording samples page. The Webdesigner says that it is working fine. When we go to play an audio track, then we click on another audio track the 1st audio track is supposed to stop so the next one will play. However, this is not happening. The second one starts playing over the 1st. I have updated Firefox and am using 26.0. The webdesigner states that it works fine when they test the browser at their office. Can someone please let me know if there is something like a plug-in I am missing. You need to click on product details to pull up the recordings for each album.
In addition, I am unable to add the product to my shopping cart. Again we were told by the webdesigner that this works fine.

Clicking the play button of another song doesn't pause the song that is playing, so I hear multiple songs playing simultaneously.<br />
I am on Linux, so can't test if it works in IE, but it sounds that the code is only compatible with IE.
Clicking Add to chart makes Firefox send this request:

Very short audio file not playing.

Hi all.
I have a slide where there is a picture which collapses with an effect to centre. At the point of collapse I have a short sound file (0.5s) of a camera shutter which plays at the same time.
This then moves to the next slide where there is another picture that expands from central, whcih then collapses with the same sound into the next slide and so on and so on.
I originally created this in CP5 and it all worked fine.
My client then decided they wanted something different so I removed the sound and did what they wanted.
I have subsequently upgraded to CP5.5.
They then decide that they wanted it back as originally built.
I re-imported the sound file and replaced it into the slides as necessary.
If I play the slide using the space bar the sound plays fine.
If I preview with either F4, F8, F10 or F12 I get no camera shutter sound. But all the other sounds in the product work fine.
I'm a bit confused!
Anyone come across this?
I've created a new project and plonked the sound file into a new slide and it works fine using the F keys.
Don't know what I have done but I must have switched something off somewhere.
Any help is appreciated!

Inserted FLV files not playing in a published project.

The issue: Inserted FLV files display (play) when previewing a project but not in a published project.
My setup: Windows XP and Captivate 5
Questions:
   1) When in Filmstrip view only the movie playback bars show, not an image of the actual movie, is this correct?
   2) When I preview a project for the first time, the FLV files display (play) in Preview mode, HOWEVER, any time I preview the project after that, the movies do not play.
   3) When I publish a project, the inserted FLV files do not display (play), they only show the movie playback bars.
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Oh yeah, all the files are in the same directory.

It's exactly as I stated. Whenever I try to drag these kinds of loops (ESX24 / software instrument loops? the ones marked in green with the white music note next to them) from the loop browser into the timeline a message comes up saying Audio Not Found for that loop. And a new track is created automatically when loops are dragged into the timeline, so I'm not creating some other random / synth instrument track so I'm not sure what the deal is... But perhaps I'll try creating a software instrument track first and then drag the loop into that track and see what happens - maybe there's something with the default settings that automatically creates audio tracks whenever loops are imported?

Media file (quicktime) not playing when Pages document is saved as a pdf

I added a quicktime file (a movie trailer) to my presentation and it plays when in Pages - but when I export it to a pdf it is just a black space. 1. are these links/media files are supposed to be active when in a pdf format 2. how can I get the media file to play when it is saved as a pdf? 3. Will those who I email it to be able to play the media file when they open it up on their computer?

Multimedia is not embedded in exported .pdf files.
You will need to relink them again in the .pdf using Adobe Acrobat Pro.
