Audio file rename not working
I like the ability to add audio files to annotate information. My camera does not support audio files at the time the photograph is taken; however it's easy to copy a digital recording file to the folder and as long as it's got the same name as the raw file (in my case .cr2) lightroom recognizes it and plays it. In addition I have many non-digital files I would like to add audio annotations to that were scanned in. However, if I do an F2 rename in LR the audio file is not renamed. Is this a bug in Lightroom or is it because I created the audio file outside of the camera? If it's because I didn't have the camera create the audio file; is there a way to associate it correctly?

Your question was clear; I read it badly.
AFAIK, you'll have to manually name the audio file, but since each one is a custom job, it shouldn't be too onerous.

Bates Numbering/File Rename not working ver 9.1.3
I am trying to apply Bates numbering to a series of documents for document production in a litigation matter that I am handling. I want to apply Bates numbers and also rename the documents with the Bates range of the documents included in each document.
The version of Acrobat on my Windows system is version 9.1.3. In that version, the Bates numbering appears as it should in the right place on each page, but Acrobat will not rename the file names with the Bates range. When I try the exact name thing with the same files on another computer in my office, running version 9.0, everything works fine, and the file names are approrpriately changed to the Bates range of the numbers within the file.
Something appears to have been changed in making version 9.1 that has messed up the ability of Acrobat to rename the files when applying Bates numbers.

Save audio file action not working in leopard automator
Hi, I would like to convert my aif loops to caf via the following process
-get selected items (finder)
-open in sound track pro
-save audio file
-close stp
however every time I try to drag "save audio file" into the workflow I get this error message

Please, despite all the Windows problems and faults (and I hate Windows and love Mac), they have a better file manager then we do, because the explorer is a good tool unlike the finder! Why can't we just choose the items and do some "rename" option, or just select all, press "enter" and write what we want (doing a sequential rename by default).
Come on, if windows explorer can do this, why can't we?!?!?
The automator should be used to more advanced stuff, not to just simply rename items... -
I am trying to transfer the files directly from the SD card files structure and renameing the files in the new destination. When i try to do this it moves the entire structure of the sd card and doesnt rename the mts files. I have tried removing them from the files structure and ingesting them, the renaming works when i do this however i lose all ability to add comments, metadata, markers etc. because of preludes problems with mts. All i want to do is rename the files on ingest, please help.

When ingesting and renaming a folder-based clip(AVCHD, XDCAM EX, XDCAM-HD, P2, etc), we only modify its logical name(Dublin Core->Title) which is displayed in project panel, and file name on disk doesn't change. Some formats are not yet supported for storing metadata from Adobe tools—naked MTS files are one(MTS whole in their folder structure are OK—but if you copy the assets outside the folder structure then Adobe doesn't know where to save the metadata).

HI everybody,
So today i just turned my pc on after a few days and noticed that there was RED CROSS "X" on my volume icon. It says that Audio Service is not working. i opened services(service.msc) searched for it and when i tried to start
it gives me this ERROR! I searched for solutions over the net as well as here. Recommendations that i found were
>Reinstall the drivers
>Unisntall drivers from Device Manager and then reinstall. (WHEN I TREID TO INSTALL DRIVERS IT GAVE ME ERROR THAT "AUDIO SERICE IS NOT RUNNING AND COULDNT BE STARTED" )
>Run "RPC" service and "Endpoint service". Currently both are running !
Last but not least, u must be thinking that why i posted such a big post, this is because others problems were solved and issue was also a bit different. :D

Are you installing new drivers downloaded from the manufacturer website or letting windows install it for you?
Try disabling the sound card in the bios, reboot and then enable it again, reboot and see what windows does.
Can you also run a sfc scan and see if there are any corrupted files?

"Itunes has detected a problem with your audio configuration. Audio/Video may not work properly".
Turned my Dell running windows 7 off 2 days ago. Turned on today. Launched ITunes and got message "Itunes has detected a problem with your audio configuration. Audio/Video may not work properly".
All my albums are there but won't play.
Deleted Itunes and reinstalled. Same as before.

I was able to find an article that included the same error message you're experiencing:

According to that article, if you see the error message "iTunes cannot run because it has detected a problem with your audio configuration," QuickTime may need to be reinstalled. Please follow the steps below to uninstall QuickTime and then download and install QuickTime using the QuickTime standalone Installer.
On the Start menu, click Control Panel.
Follow the steps appropriate for your Windows operating system below.
Windows Vista and Windows 7: Click Uninstall a program (or if using Windows Vista's Classic View of the Control Panel, click Programs and Features) and select QuickTime in the list of currently installed programs.
Click the Remove button (or Uninstall for Windows Vista and Windows 7) and follow the prompts to remove QuickTime from your computer.
Download QuickTime. Note: There are two options for downloading QuickTime, be sure to select the option that does not include iTunes.
During the download:
If you choose to run the installer, proceed to the next step.
If you choose to save the download, double click the QuickTimeInstaller file, then proceed to next step.
Follow the on-screen instructions to install QuickTime.

I have clips that I want to use in Final Cut Express that have audio in 48 KHz, 16-bit integer mode.
The FCE manual says "16-bit audio: For video capture and output, 16-bit audio is almost always used"
When I import the clips into FCE and place them in my sequence, I get the dreaded red line over the audio, and I can't seem to "render," so essentially, my clips have no sound.
The default audio settings for my sequence are 48 KHz, 32-bit floating point, about which the FCE manual says "Final Cut Express HD mixes the audio in your program internally at 32-bit, floating-point resolution even if your source audio is 16-bit. The result is that all audio calculations are made with higher precision, maximizing the quality of your program’s audio."
But since my audio files don't work in FCE, something is not right, and I don't know how to change it. The only way to change sequence settings is to load presets, none of which give me contol over the audio settings at this level. How do I get my audio files to work?

RebeccaOk, so I opened up one of the orignal clips in QT, and clicked on "Export -> Quicktime movie." Under settings, I made sure the compression was DV/DVCPRO NTSC, and the audio was set to 48 KHz, 32-bit floating point. And exported. And then imported the clip into FCE, and it worked! (Even my teacher in my Final Cut class couldn't answer this one for me).
Question is, if all cameras record at 16-bit interger (as the FCE manual says) and FCE requires 32-bit floating point (as it seems to), why doesn't it do the conversion automatically (as the manual suggests, but does seem to actually do)? I guess I don't really need this question answered, since I now have a fix, but I still need to use QT to convert every clip before I can use them in FCE, which is still a pain.

Audio Swap Channels not working
I'm running Premiere Pro CS4 on a Dell XPS that was recently upgraded to 64bit. I have 8GB memory, Intel Core 2 Quad CPU Q660 @ 2.40 GHz. My sound card went bad so I'm only using the sound device that came with the computer. The device manager says a High Def Audio Device (internal HD audio BUS) is the sound device being used. No other name is given.
The audio file I am working with shows this in Properties :Source Audio Format: 48000 Hz - 16 bit - Stereo; Project Audio Format: 48000 Hz - 32 bit floating point - Stereo
Question: I've never had a problem adding a second line of audio, going to Audio, Stereo, Swap Channels. This time, the audio won't swap channels. I've tried it several times, closing Premiere, rebooting, it still isn't working.
Is this a sound card problem or something else? I stupidly told IT I don't need another sound card as long as I can hear it. I'm thinking I made a mistake. Any ideas?

I don't do any sound stuff in Premiere and have only Premiere CS3... but I have been doing some sound outside of Premiere and have been reading up on using Premiere for doing some sound editing. Does this portion of the help file on mapping sound do you any good ? The bold I put there to more or less ask if you have that enabled or not since you might have different setting since upgrading to 64 bit ??

Map audio channels
You can define how a clip’s audio is mapped to channels, audio tracks, or both when the clip is added to a sequence or viewed in the Source Monitor. You can determine how different types of clips are mapped, by default, by setting Audio Output Mapping preferences. Mapping is applied to clips in the Project panel using the Source Channel Mappings command. You can simultaneously apply the command to multiple master clips. When the command is applied, the following controls are available in the Source Channel Mappings dialog box:
Track Format
Defines the type of track in which the clip’s audio channels are grouped—mono, stereo, mono as stereo, or 5.1 surround. When you change a master clip’s track format from stereo or 5.1 surround to mono, Adobe Premiere Pro maps each channel to a separate mono track. When you add the clip to the sequence, the clips on the separate mono tracks are linked together. For more information on multi‑clip links, see Linking multiple audio clips.
Enable
Enables or disables an audio source channel. When you add a clip to a sequence, only the enabled channels are added to the Timeline panel. Disabling a source channel also prevents you from swapping its output channel with another source channel.
Source Channel
Lists the original channels of the clip’s audio.
Track
Displays the order that the channels are placed into the Timeline panel.
Note: Under Track, the numbers don’t correlate with the actual audio track numbers.
Channel
Displays the channel type that the source channel is mapped to.
Playback button and slider
Lets you preview the audio of the selected source channel. You can preview a source channel whether it’s enabled or not. The playback button and slider is unavailable if you’re applying the Source Channel Mappings command to multiple master clips.You should map source audio channels before adding a clip to a sequence. If you apply the Source Channel Mappings command to a master clip that’s been added to a sequence, you can swap only the output tracks and channels between source channels. i am developing a project that interacts with databases 10g and COM ports of machine , these all processes are performed by .bat file which i am trying to run from jFramform , code works perfectly .bat file is also called perfectly when i run the project using F6 from the NETBEANS, for testing i placed some dialogue boxes on the form to test it ,
but when i run executable .jar file , form run successfully and dialogue box works perfectly but .bat file is not called by executable .jar file.
this is how i call the .bat file...

you must probably ask why i am calling a .jar file using .bat file .
reason is that this .jar project sends message using GSM mobile , System.exit(); is compulsory to complete a job and then do the next one ,
if i use the same file to execute this job it makes exit to entire the application (hope you can understand my logic).
that's why i use extra .jar file in .bat file , when single job is completed .bat exits itself and new command is given.
Problem is that code is working perfectly in NETBEANS when i run the project but when i run .jar then .bat file is not working ,

audio output will not work on external speakers. Internal speakers will work. What do i do to replace audio output slot
Right click your volume icon in the notification area and select "volume control options". From there, you should be able to select the external speakers.

File- Export not working after upgrade from 11i to R12
Hi,
File -> Export not working after upgrade from 11i to R12.1.3 in few systems. Can you please let me know what could be the issue.
If export record count more than 200 it is working fine in all the systems and if change the profile option "Export MIME type” value to ‘text/tab-separated-values’ from application/excel also it is wokring.

Audio captcha is not working in mac safari 5.1.7.

File- Print not working from SQL Developer 1.2.1 Build MAIN-32.13
File->Print not working from SQL Developer 1.2.1 Build MAIN-32.13.
I downloaded sqldeveloper-1.2.1.3213.ZIP and extract to a local directory. From the extracted directory I ran ..\sqldeveloper\sqldeveloper.exe from Windows XP sp2. The program itself seems to run just fine but File-Print doesn't do anything. In Help-About, Java Platform is reported as 1.5.0_06 and Oracle IDE is 1.2.1.3213. I'm not sure where to look for what is causing the problem.
ThanksI hadn't tried CTRL-P before but I did today. On the first attempt, I saw a small jump in the memory usage for sqldeveloper.exe as reported in Windows Task Manager. Otherwise, there was no change. A second CTRL-P in the same session produced a further bump but subsequent attempts in the same session produced no further change in CPU or Memory Usage.
Using Task Manager to monitor this further, I tried File->Print again and saw that sqldeveloper would periodically climb to 1 or 2 percent CPU and consume a little more memory. After a minute or so, though, all activity stops again.
I do not get a print dialog box from SQLDeveloper using either CTRL-P or File->Print -

Flash file, clicks not working in one environment
Hi everyone,
I have produced files using Captivate 2, that have output as .exe. These work perfectly across all of our sites, except one.
The only issue with the site where the files are not working is:
- Click box within the Flash file do not progress to the next page
I have output with 'Playback control' and the users at the site in question are able to progress through along the Playback bar. However, I only placed this in for the purposes of testing the file. The final files need to not have the 'Playback control'.
Does anyone know what I can do differently, to ensure the click boxes work on this site in question?

I'm not sure I fully understand your question. You seem to be saying a Click Box isn't working. But you say the "Click Box within the Flash File". I'm not sure if this means you have used Flash to create a button or something that you are trying to use with Captivate or if you simply mean that you have used Captivate to create a SWF, and inside that SWF the Click Box doesn't seem to work.
What would be helpful is if we could see the project first hand. Are you able to post the .CP file for us to download and view? If that's not possible, what about posting a screen capture of the slide with the issue where we can see the entire timeline and all objects.
