Audio Hijack pro quicktime player audio sync issue

I am trying to record youtube videos using quicktime player (screen recording the game) and Audio Hijack Pro (recording the game audio and skype audio). The problem is, when I edit the video, the comentary on a cirtain event very gradually gets further and further from the event in the screen recording. Is there any solution for this? If so please tell me. Thanks.

Yes. I own it. I solved the problem. I had a trial version of another sound enhancement program called WOW. I removed it and the problem is solved. It was obviously running in the background even though I thought I had uninstalled it.
All is well now.
Thanks!

  • Audio Hijack Pro + Quicktime X

Audio Hijack Pro can hijack Quicktime X, but I can't get it to record. It will still record Quicktime 7. I use this to record some late night talk radio for download to iTunes. Good thing Quicktime 7 is still on the computer (in the Utilities folder). I've contacted the developer (Rogue Amoeba).
From their compatibility website (http://www.rogueamoeba.com/status/), it looks like an update will be coming.

Weird. Sorry, no further ideas at this time. Perhaps someone else will have run across this and have a suggestion.
Meanwhile, you might try playing and capturing the audio file using QuickTime Player 7 which should be in your Utilities folder (if not, you can install it via the Optional Installs on your Snow Leopard install disk). That might work with Audio Hijack.
    Regards.

  • Audio Hijack Pro--What Did I Do?

Audio Hijack Pro used to work very well, until I used it to enhance the sound on my MacBook Pro (latest Lion OSX). One day, it started distoring everything played through it. Now, when I want to just get the audio off a video of guitar and banjo lessons to play on my iPod, the recordings are terribly distorted. Recordings and playback from all sources through Audio Hijack Pro--Itunes, Safari, Quicktime, etc.--are severely distorted with high frequency noise and reverb. It's as if the Effects are on, but they are not.
I am not very familiar with audio settings, and have Soundflower 2ch as the input device (used with IShowU). I tried removing and re-installing it twice. I changed to Default Input, etc., etc.
I have no idea why this program was working and is now totally useless. I'm asking for help. Somewhere, somehow, I changed a setting or settings, and now I can't make it work. There have been a couple of Apple software updates that may have something to do with this...
Any advice I can get will be greatly appreciated.

  • MBP, Leopard, & Audio Hijack Pro Software

    Hi:
I have updated several audio programs (Airfoil, Sound Grinder, Fission) to work with OS 10.5 because thats what came installed on my new MBP.
    These updated programs work well.
However, the updated version of Audio Hijack Pro will not open properly....an error dialogue box keeps appearing.
At this time, I'm working with technical support at rogue ameoba to fix the issue, but am wondering if anyone else has experienced problems similar to this, and if so, have they come up with a fix.
    Thanks very much,
    Michael Stryker

    Hi:
In case anyone is interested, the issue here was using an older version of stuffit expander to open the program from its zip file.
This version of stuffit is OS 9 vintage and cannot properly handle symlinks (I think that was the name of the files). If you encounter this problem, you can force OSX to unzip your program keep all files uncorrupted.

  • Please help me with Audio Hijack Pro!!!!

Guys, I am really trying to get my podcast back up and running, but I ran into a weird problem with Audio Hijack not too long ago. I have gotten this to work many times before, so this is nothing new. When I use AHP to hijack my microphones, and then use Garageband to record, after 10 min, I get static on one of my mics. Now, I have purchased this product, so it is totally legit, and I know that the trial gives you static after 10 min, but I have my code and the program took it fine. I have contacted AHP, but they basically had me delete a pref file and then reinstall it. It did not work. Can you think of any other ideas that I can try??? I really want to get this back up and running and it takes AHP a long time to get back to me. PLEASE HELP!
    Thank you!

I forgot to mention the reason I am using Audio Hijack pro is because i am using 2 usb mics.

  • Ways to record radio broadcasts using Audio Hijack Pro

If I download Audio Hijack Pro what is the simplest and most efficient way to download radio broadcasts ?
I have experimented using Garageband and my radio tuner with an audio cable connected to the 'audio-in' port without success.

I'm late to this discussion because I've had no problems recording my weekly 2-hour jazz show by inputting my Onkyo tune to my 2013 iMac vs. USB (Apple removed the audio-in jack--darn it).  I recorded them in Sound Studio (which unlike Toast has easily editable audio waves--and for digitizing LPs, I found I could be more accurate and achieve faster results that with Spin Doctor, which is bundled with Toast). I had no trouble.  That is, until now.  My recordings are suddenly all static.  I can hear my voice in the background but the recording is unusable for all practical purposes.
I can only infer that the problem may stem from my Onkyo receiver transmitting a regular FM signal (it's not an HD receiver).  The station that I broadcast from is HD (like many other public radio stations), so the main channel (#1) along with #2 and #3 are transmitting a high def signal, which will not have static (it's all or nothing, the signal is clear or it's non-existent).
Therefore, it appears I need a program like AHP to record the program direct from our station's internet site.  (I'm not clear if internet radio and HD radio are the same thing.  HD radio, of course, proved a bust, but internet audio seems no longer to provoke the little bit of complaint.  (10 years ago it was like 2 dixiecups communicating with a string.  A joke when compared to the best vinyl.  But now the AIFF and Apple Lossless files appear to meet the approval of audiophiles.)
I'm wondering if AHP is still the program of choice for recording sounds from my internet radio station (My Roxio Toast claims to have the capability, but it's proven highly buggy and undependable.)  Or would I be better advised to look for an external HD radio/tuner with audio out to go to my computer.  (Possibly a tall order these days with no one making HD radios.)

  • Why is Audio Hijack Pro only recording 31m of a 2 hour program?

I'm sure many of you are familiar with Audio Hijack Pro. I just bought it and can't figure out why it's only recording 31 minutes of a 2 hour stream. I read about various ways to route the audio back into Logic 8 but Audio Hijack Pro seems really easy.

You know, it's funny you mention the bit about registering it...
When I followed someone else's suggestion to check the schedule tab (which was turned off), the mere fact of me clicking on that tab (which I hadn't done previously) opened up a series of 3 installs (Soundflower, etc.), which was unexpected, yet promising somehow. It asked me to log off and restart. So that could be totally key. I'll see how it goes today. No worries about the registration thing. Btw, thanks to you and all the other people who have responded. The Rogue Amoeba people are helpful, but it takes 1-2 days to get a response, so it's been like watching paint dry. Cheers to you all.

    i do appreciate these suggestions,...
the schedule function in audio hijack does indeed provide the ability to automatically hijack at startup,.. thank you,....
i guess i'd like to do this without timers,...
but hey,... gift horses and mouths, right,....?
perhaps before i let this go, i'd like to garner a little info on scripting that button command,...

  • Imovie exported to mp4 choppy audio on PC QuickTime player

When I created a mp4 file from imovie, my client with a PC who has a QuickTime player hears choppy audio.  It won't even open in his Windows Media Player bc of Codec issues.  Then QuickTime plays it but audio is all choppy.  It plays fine on my Apple.  What am I doing wrong?   If I create a QuickTime file, which I'm doing now, is there a special audio setting I should change so this will work on a PC?
    Thanks!

When you export out of iMovie are you doing it using Share> Export QuickTime file or Export Movie? Believe it or not, you can export to Movie and rename the file extension from .m4v to .mp4 and get that to play on any Windows machine with Windows Media Player installed. It maybe a simple matter of saving it out to Movie, renaming it and sending that one along to the client, see if that one works better.

  • What happened to Mountain lion QuickTime player audio

How come the Mountain Lion QuickTime Player plays audio like having a phase swap effect?
It's not natural, and maybe this is a new bug?
All other players like iTune and QuickTime 7 and the Real Player are ok.
    Why?

  • Why do Encore CS5 and Premiere Pro CS5 have intermittant Sync issues?

I am noticing that Encore CS5 is "buggy" regarding sync issues with material edited by Womble and Corel Video Studio and I am guessing other programs as well?
In high definition I take AVCHD and  edit in Corel Video Studio.  If I leave the project as one single 42 minute segment and import this asset into Encore CS5, more often than not there are bad sync issues.  To get around this I have to divide the 42 minute project into approximately 6 smaller ones- Each smaller asset ends where I had done the editing.  Encore does not have any problems now with these 6 smaller assets.
In standard definition I edit in Womble and export as a MPEG2 Program.  Sometimes Encore has a problem with the asset sync and sometimes it does not.  (I am guessing about 20% of my assets end up with a problem).  The same asset if brought into TMP or brought back into Womble does not have any sync issue.  If brought into Premiere Pro CS5 it will exhibit the same behavior as Encore- If Encore has a sync problem, so will Premiere Pro.  So to get around this I then have to go back to the original womble file and break it up into smaller pieces, at every edit point I cut and export the smaller file just after the end of the transition I applied.  With a 6 hour project I may end up with dozens of small files to get around this problem- not very efficient.
Any ideas how to fix this or why Encore is so buggy?  Would moving the original assets around in Womble- example taking something that was at the end of the timeline and then moving it to the beginning cause these issues for Encore?   Or is there some other cause?
    Encore CS5
    Premiere Pro CS5
    Windows 7 64 BIT
    Quad core
    2.4 GHZ clock speed
    6GB memory
150 GB free space on drive
    NVIDIA GEFORCE 8500 card

I've used VideoReDo in the past, which I believe has some similar strategies to Womble.  I found when I tested streams, that there were often problems in the source streams, and that the fix was not 100 percent.
You may also find such files that are not 100 percent the same length video to audio.
In any event, the possibility other than Encore being buggy is that the files you are bringing in have problems when Encore tries to validate them.  I'm not saying Encore doesn't have its problems, but clean mpeg files do not have sync issues ordinarily.
For some scenarios, I like your workflow (edit mpeg files in a frame accurate mpeg editor that is not retranscoding the whole file), but the results are often not consistent.
You don't say, and I would certainly look at, the nature of the audio stream you are using.  I can not tell you what the problems are, but some streams just do not edit well, even though they may play back okay in some players, but still have issues in Encore and/or Premiere.

  • Quicktime Player play mov issue

    Hi
Why Quicktime Player play mov have wave line?and MPlayer play is look fine.

a very old version of Final Cut, Final Cut Express HD 3.0 ... I bought a Nikon D3100 DSLR
The Nikon D3100 records video as H.264/MPEG-4 AVC.   This is not usable in FCE.  You will need to convert the video to QuickTime/Apple Intermediate Codec in order to edit the video  in FCE.  Try using MPEG Streamclip to convert the video clips from your D3100.  Also, before importing the converted clips into FCE, select one of the FCE Easy Setups that matches how you shot your video ... 1920x1080i60 for example ... create a new sequence and then import the converted clips.
That said, I think you may still run into some issues with such an old version of FCE.  FCE 3.0 only supported DV and HDV video, neither of which exactly matches what your D3100 can do.  You will be better off upgrading to Final Cut Pro X, the current version of Final Cut.

  • Audio Hijack not Detecting Any Audio

OK, I know there are plenty of posts on various forums regarding how to record audio from your Mac, but that's not exactly what I'm looking for. I have been using Audio Hijack to record from the BBC iPlayer for some years now on my old G3 iMac, just stuff I don't get the time to listen to live or like to keep for myself. Anyways, I recently bought myself a new (to me) iMac G4 and now when I hit 'Hijack' on AJPro, it won't detect any audio. I have a feeling this is something to do with my system input but can't for the life of me work it out, or find anyone else online suffering from the same problem. Any help would be massively appreciated, particularly as the excellent (although 6 hours long) BBC dramatisation of 'Titus Groan' comes offline in three days! ;o)
For what it's worth I'm using an older version of AJPro, 2.5.6

Not sure, but besides the Sound Pref Pane, Open Audio Midi Setup in Applications>Utilities, see the input & output options & KHz setting there, some things will change it for their own use, then not set it back.

  • To anyone that has no sound (w/ Audio Hijack Pro program installed)

  • Multiple audio sources for quicktime movie recording

I want to record a Quicktime movie using iSight as the video input, external audio (guitar) via a Focusrite Saffire LE (1874) audio interface and internal audio (a backing track) from either iTunes, Logic 9 or MainStage 2 (I don't care which), so I can record myself playing and then send the video to another guitarist via Dropbox or similar.  Is this possible and if so how do I set it up on my iMac?
    Thanks.

QuickTime Player Pro, QuickTime X (Snow Leopard) and QuickTime 10.1 (Lion) all include a "New Movie Recording" feature. The camera can be the internal iSight or an externaly connected one and the audio can be internal or line in.
But you can only have one video and one audio source.
QuickTime Player Pro can be used to add additional "tracks" and the .mov container can have up to 99 of them. GarageBand can help you edit the track timing. It also includes other "instuments" and can play your video while you build additional tracks.
I would record via iSight but not include any audio. Then use GarageBand to add the additional audio tracks.
