Audio In Exported QT Movie Disappears After 23 Seconds?

My 7 minute project is composed of AVCHD clips optimised as ProRes 422.
It has a simple title and cross dissolves between each clip.
I select Share>Export Media as Video and Audio and using Current Settings.
The resulting QT file plays perfectly up to 23 seconds (just before the end of the first clip) and then the audio disappears.
I have trashed the prefs and tried two more times but the results are the same. No audio after 23 seconds.
The audio in the project is perfect.
I have not (knowingly) deselected anything.
Any ideas what might be the cause?

I have just deleted the first cross-dissolve, exported again as above and guess what?
The audio lasts up to what was the second transition but is now the first.
So it appears to be transition-related.
When there was a transition at position 1 the audio stopped there in exported videos..
Now that the first transition is at position 2, the audio now stops there.
One other point I have just remembered.
These are complete clips and all the transitions are Full Overlap.

Lost the audio when exporting to .mov on PC

i made a project in Motion that lasts about 26 seconds....even included an audio track to overlay it. i exported it into a QT format (.mov) onto my desktop on the Mac. i tested it on the Mac, and it works great.
when i transfer it to my Windows laptop, the .mov file plays but doesn't include the audio.
any suggestions to get the audio to play?

No worries.
It's just I think there are more people with QuickTime on Windows experience on that forum so you have a better chance at getting help.
The codec you are using is a standard QT codec that comes with the player? The version of QT installed on the PC is the same as the one on your Mac? Those are the two things I'd check if it was happening to me. Good luck.

Do downloaded movies disappear after one use?

I am so confused. I downloaded two movies to my 3rd Gen Ipod Nano, and each time after I watch the movie, they disappear from my selection screen. When I scroll to Movies it says "No Movies". They still show up on my computer though.
Do I have to go back and download them each time? When I connect the IPOD to the port to charge up, it automatically syncs. But no movies, and
This is my first MP3 player, and yes I REALLY am technically challenged. I bought the IPOD book by Scott Kelby, and while its very informative, it does not address this problem.

Problems with audio when exporting to movies

Hi All,
I teach sequencing and one of the projects is to score a short piece of music to film. Logic Pro 9 is great for this (though beat mapping isn't the most friendly of functions) and my students (most only 16-18 years old) have made some great projects.
Right the question is what are the best settings to use when exporting the audio to movie? Some students don't get any sound when bounced or some are getting the oprginal with the new audio (doubled).
To assess and store student work we use vimeo for video projects and the wierdest thing is that when uploaded these bounces (the ones that worked) have no sound at all.
Never had these issues with Logic 8 and just wondering if anyone has any ideas on how I can resolve this?

I've used flip4mac for about a year and have had no problems with it. I mostly use it to export preview versions for windoze people. The quality is very good, though it takes significantly longer to export than a similar-quality quicktime movie.

Audio Issues Exporting to .MOV

I am exporting my swf to .mov but in the final .mov file no
sound can be heard. I tried changing the audio settings but then it
wont export.
Any help or tips?

Movie disappears after screen saver kicks in

If my screen saver (it doesn't matter which one) kicks in while watching a movie, after I press a key to stop the screen saver, Quicktime still plays the movie but there's nothing on the screen, all I see is my background. I can hear the sound, but no picture. Anyone have a fix for this problem besides turning off the screen saving while watching movies?

If I play a movie with VLC or QT the display will NOT go to sleep...
Are you sure about that? Because that's not what happens on my machine forcing me to run a little utility (Jiggler) to keep my machine awake (to avoid having to change the energy saver prefs each time).
FWIW, there are alternatives to Jiggler (Caffeine and InsomniaX are two others). Perhaps you might consider one of these when using Front Row.
Note, it is possible my specific problem has to do with using multiple displays, where one of those displays is my TV when using vlc.

Purchased movies disappeared after update.

I updated to the latest version of iTunes and had to perform a restore of my iPhone. Once it restored I was able to retrieve my purchased music via iCloud but my purchased movies and tv shows in my iTunes account seem to have disappeared. What happened?

Window disappears after second selection

Hi,
I have an OO alv grid that calls a second window. On double-clicking on a value, the value drops into the first window - this works fine. My problem is that the window only closes on a second double-click (even though I can see that my value has dropped into the first window).
After the first selection it comes back into the PBO again, though I have no idea why.
Is there something I'm not setting to stop thsi happening ?

Well, if you can copy and rename the executable and get it working, then it's a pretty clear indication that the origianl is under some kind of lock/ security supervision from some tool or the system itself. Have you checked the options for user permissions and execution prevention? Have you looked into the logs and blacklists of your firewall and virus scanner?

When running a user defined report the first time it shows the tab toolbar (freeze view, run report, etc) but when a new report is opened in the same tab the toolbar disappears.
In order to show again the toolbar I need to close the tab, right click the report name -> Open and the new tab will contain the toolbar.
Verified with version 2.1 and there the toolbar is always displayed.

I rented two movies and then updated to new os on my ipad2... Now movies don't show up.????

If you updated from 4.x - iTunes erases your iPad and then restores from the backup and you sync your media back to the iPad. Rented movies on the iPad cannot be transfers back into iTunes.

Movie disappeared after crash, now can't create New Event

Final stages of creating movie (of course!) and iMovie crashes. When restart, project is missing. Online, found suggestion to delete CurrentVersion.imovieevent and other CurrentVersion. files, which I did. I also moved the project files (inside Movies->iMovie Library (show package contents) to a safe distance. The online suggestion-- which had worked for me before-- recommended this, then: open iMovie, create New Project, quit. Move all the imovie project files into the new iMovie Library folder with the new project name, then re-open iMovie. Project should be there. And it was, last time. But for some reason, now iMovie won't let me create a New Event or a New Project, so this doesn't work.
What is interesting is I completely removed all projects/events from the Movie folder to a different drive, but when I now open iMovie, all of my old movies/projects show up except the one I'm looking for. Where is it finding them? It should open up as new. How do I fix this?
So far, have deleted and re-downloaded and re-installed iMovie 10.0.4 on MacBook Air running OS X 10.9.4 and removed all files from the Movie folder. Opening iMovie shows all my projects for the last several years. I have not deleted anything (only moved items), but the trash has all the CurrentVersion. files still in them. Interestingly, there are no "iMovie Projects" or "iMovie Events" folders anywhere-- all the folders/files seem to be stored in the iMovie Library; to access them I have to Show Package Contents

Can you right-click on a folder name in the Lightroom Folder Panel and select "Show Parent Folder"?
Can you import new photos directly to the desired folder in the desired location?

TS1424 Rental movies disappeared after iPad crushed and restored.

I was trying to remove iPad from my where id my iPhone app and all of a sudden iPad got wiped.
Restored it through itunes but rentals disappeared despite accounts keep telling me that I have unwatched rentals.

Captivate movie disappeared

I was editing my Captivate movie and it disappeared as I was
working on it. I thought it was rather strange so I re-opened the
Captivate program and I opened the file I was working on when the
program crashed. I received an error telling me that the file
closed incorrectly the last time and would I like to repair it. I
clicked on yes and nothing happened. I tried opening the file again
and it shows the progress bar but does nothing else. When I look at
the saved file, the size is still the same, however, the captivate
program says there are 0 slides. The slides still seem to be there
though as I open a blank movie and import the movie and the movie
shows in the directory. When I click on it the slides open up and I
can see all 51 slides so I select All and click on Import but
nothing happens. This is very strange as I can see the slides but I
can't use them. Somebody Please Help.

I just experienced a very similar issue - my saved movie
"disappeared" after I published it. The title is there, size shows
as it was with all 80 slides, but when I open it, it shows just one
slide, blank.... Did you figure out what happened and how to
resolve it?..
This is very alarming, especially that it seems like this
error happens more than just once, although I had no problems with
my previous 20+ movies... This was the first one I made with audio
voice recording though.

Exporting Movies: Disappearing Export Box

I'm having trouble exporting a movie using iMovie.
I created a movie and successfully exported it. After watching, I went back and made changes to the movie and successfully exported it a second time. I had to go back a third time and make changes and this time it will not export. I have tried changing the file name, changing save locations, but nothing has worked. The exportation begins (a new window with a blue bar appears with text that reads "Exporting movie...") however, the box disappears shortly after and nothing happens.
Any ideas and/or suggestions?

Oh, man. If that's it, I will scream, I am so stupid. I never chose "Finalize Project" and have been just using "Share". I have a feeling that if I check the package contents of the project file...that there are some files in there, like the 1080p that I did earlier...and that's why the Exporting dialog goes away so quickly. But it's still possible something is wrong..because I could swear I tried to use Share and then Movie to a different location and the Exporting thing went away quickly, and nothing was saved.
But I could be wrong. Thanks for this lead. I will check it out before crying wolf for sure. It could be that the software is just fine and I was expecting something different.
