Audio in submenu don't work
Hi!
I have a project in Encore CS 5 and it has one mainmenu and 3 submenus. The audio works in mainmenu firstplay and in one of the submenus but no audio is played on the two other submenus. I have a mp3 file for the maimenu and another mp3 file or the submenus that should play on all submenus. What could be the reason? I have whipped the link in all menus to the same file. (This is when burned to PAL DVD.)

Meanwhile waiting for tips I tried to remove the not working links and made two copies of my mp3 file with different names and made them assets and tried to link again. Sorry, but no bonus. Still not working. One thing, that come to my mind is that my problems usually starts when burned to DVD. For some reason flash exports works fine and disk preview also in encore works. My other problem is the text high light issue that I wrote about in an other topic. Same thing here, problems occur just on DVD. What might the rason and how could this be solved? I really need to get this done!

Try removing the MP3 files and converting them to WAV files instead.

Built-In Audio Output Speakers Don't Work
My Built-In speakers don't work on my Macbook Pro anymore.
I plugged headphones into the headphone jack last night when watching a film, now all of a sudden when I remove the headphones my built in speakers dont work.
When I try to turn up the volume I get the circle with a line through it telling me it can't be changed.
I went to system preferences and it says my speakers can't be configured and my Master volume track is un-highlighted so It can't be changed.
Whats going on?

Hp envy 6 1040EW audio volume buttons don't work
hello, i'm new to the forum
i have a problem with my HP Envy Ultrabook 1040EW with the volume buttons (f9, f10 and f11 )
they will only work when i have opened the beats audio application or i've clicked on the speaker sign
were you can slide the volume up and down.
if anyone has the answer or the same issue please reply.

Access the BIOS menu and reset the factory defaults.
1. Shut down the laptop
2. Restart it and tap the F10 key repeatedly
3. It should lead you into the BIOS menu
4. Press F9 to load defaults and then F10 to save and exit
The compuer should then restart and take you back to your main desktop screen. Once there test out those 3 keys.

Stuart lacheen - audio files wich don't work with Itunes or Ipod
I downloaded some mp3s to itunes, transferred them to my ipod... But they didn't worked not in itunes nor in ipod. They worked though with Winamp. Can I make them work somehow in itunes and my ipod? I used a PC, maybe this is the problem ??\

Facetime Audio don´t work with 10.10.2 and iOS 8.1.3

After the Upgrade to Yosemite 10.10.2 on my Mac Pro and iOS 8.1.3 on my iPhone 5 i cannot make Facetime Audio Calls anymore. The Problem is that when i get a call or make a call i can hear the people but they dont hear me. The settings don´t change. The Microphone on my Logitech Webcam is selected in Facetime App and in audio settings but it dont works. The Microphone is not broken i tested it with Quicktime.i Must correct again. With soundblaster drivers deinstalled Facetime Works better as before but the bug was already there. Sometimes my voice disappeared and the caller don´t hear me. i think there is a Bug between Yosemite 10.10.2 and iOS 8.13 and i hope with 10.10.3 and 8.2 this bug was fixed.

I have a problem with my Ipad (IOS 7.0.2).
Yesterday all work but today the audio don't work.
I didn't download new app, the only thing i do is use for the first time the alarm clock. After alarm audio doesen't work (i don't use hammer for swith off the alarm ).
Audio work if i use ear phones, or work normally if i use Siri (without ear phones). When i stay in home, music, video, youtube and all other apps i press on the laterlal button (low - high) but nothin happen. Lateral button work properly if i push it when i use Siri or with earphones.
What i can do?

Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after the iPad shuts down, then press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds). -
I have clips that I want to use in Final Cut Express that have audio in 48 KHz, 16-bit integer mode.
The FCE manual says "16-bit audio: For video capture and output, 16-bit audio is almost always used"
When I import the clips into FCE and place them in my sequence, I get the dreaded red line over the audio, and I can't seem to "render," so essentially, my clips have no sound.
The default audio settings for my sequence are 48 KHz, 32-bit floating point, about which the FCE manual says "Final Cut Express HD mixes the audio in your program internally at 32-bit, floating-point resolution even if your source audio is 16-bit. The result is that all audio calculations are made with higher precision, maximizing the quality of your program’s audio."
But since my audio files don't work in FCE, something is not right, and I don't know how to change it. The only way to change sequence settings is to load presets, none of which give me contol over the audio settings at this level. How do I get my audio files to work?

RebeccaOk, so I opened up one of the orignal clips in QT, and clicked on "Export -> Quicktime movie." Under settings, I made sure the compression was DV/DVCPRO NTSC, and the audio was set to 48 KHz, 32-bit floating point. And exported. And then imported the clip into FCE, and it worked! (Even my teacher in my Final Cut class couldn't answer this one for me).
Question is, if all cameras record at 16-bit interger (as the FCE manual says) and FCE requires 32-bit floating point (as it seems to), why doesn't it do the conversion automatically (as the manual suggests, but does seem to actually do)? I guess I don't really need this question answered, since I now have a fix, but I still need to use QT to convert every clip before I can use them in FCE, which is still a pain.

Video/Audio Chats Don't Work (Screen Sharing as well)
From the time that I got my mac, I have been able to both audio and video, although not screen sharing. I can live without screen sharing, but it would be nice to have if fixable. Now though, audio and video chats don't work at all. I always get an error message that reads,
"There was a communication error during your chat.
Failed to start Video Chat because:
_________ cancelled the connection."
I know that my friends aren't canceling the chats, and especially the appleu3test02 bot.

Motorola S9-HD audio controls don't work with 3GS?
I'm the recent and proud owner of a 3GS and Motorola S9-HD headset. The headset easily pairs with the phone and plays music flawlessly (sounds awesome too). Only catch is that the only controls that work on the headset are the volume. The audio controls don't work at all.
Anyone know of a work around for this or if I'm just out of luck...Word is the OS3.O for iPhone does not support full implementation of music controls via Bluetooth. Not a defect of your headset. As we all know, Apple has been dismal at implementing Bluetooth on its devices. However, word is that OS3.1 update for iPhone will fix this. I have both the Motorola S9-HD headset and the Motorola S805. Neither has full control with my iPhone 3GS using the current OS.

P755 and Realtek HD Audio Manager sound effects don't work
Hi. I have a P755 and the Realtek HD Audio Manager sound effects don't work. Everything seems to be up to date, but the equalizer and environment features have never worked. I am using the Analog stereo out. The Speaker Configuration is Stereo. The only thing that seems to change the audio characteristics is switching from Headphone to Line Out.

Yosemite OS seem so not allow me to use premier pro. Specifically the play buttons don't work in the source, program and Timeline. Any one have this problem?

I´ve got the same problem, that since i upgrade to Yosemite, my R3D Video Files are not longer supported, sometimes it works but most of time it says "not supported File format".. Hope Adobe will fix it.
Play button works. Try installing the latest Java 8 update. This might fix some problems. -

Try a cleaning disc. You can get them at places like Radio Shack.
If nothing helps your optical drive has probably failed. You can replace it or purchase an inexpensive external drive. Don't buy the Apple SuperDrive as it won't work with macs that have a built in drive. -

I think i have the same problem that most the Mac users have had after upgrade from Mavericks to Yosemite (10.10.3) and are connected to internet by wifi.
This new version don´t work fine, or in any way, with any internet browser (Safari, Mozilla, Crome...) when the connection it´s by WiFi. In fact i´m writing this with a ethernet cat 5e connection.
I read in other thread that version 10.10.3 solved this problem but at least in my case it's not true.
And like other users as i read, in some normal actions, like open "System Preferences", appears the wheel round and round during two o three seconds, when with Maverick don´t happens. Probably this last problem it´s a question of RAM memory, but nothing in the upgrade said that you need more that 8 GB to work with normality like before.

Is the version of Windows 7 Ultimate you have installed 32bit or 64bit?
Open windows Control Panel, open Device Manager and open up Sound, Video and Game Controllers - do you see an existing entry for the IDT High Definition Audio CODEC listed here?
There is an alternative IDT Audio driver you may wish to try on the following link.
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp53001-53500/sp53281.exe
Let me know if you get the same error with this version.
