Audio Interference after installing Audiotion CS5

Hello, I had this problem before on my iMac when I installed soundbooth.  When I installed soundbooth any time I record with any program like garage band or plug in my headphones I get a terible interference noise.  It's just loud white noise.  I fixed the issue somehow a few years back, but I just installed CS5 on my iMac and the problem happened again, and I noticed that there were now an after effects and soundbooth setting installed in my audio midi setup utility in my mac settings.  I know it has something to do with the audio drivers that are installed on my iMac with soundbooth or after effects or audition.  It is very irritating and would like to know if anyone hs had an issue or knows a solution. Thanks

  • How do I find Bridge - it's not on my Mac (Lion) after install of CS5 Design Premium installation?

I had a disk crash on my Mac with Lion.  I reinstalled all software including CS5.  Before the crash, I had Bridge installed & used it a lot.  After reinstalling my CS5, I seem to have everthing except Bridge.  When I tried Phtotoshop > File > Browse in Bridge - nothing happens.  I've searched my drive & can't find Bridge.
How can ai get it back?
    Thanks!

Actually, on a Mac, the Bridge application folder resides on the first level of the root-level Applications folder, not in the Adobe folder, which only contains the Adobe Help.app, the Adobe Patch Files folder, and some Flash stuff.
Also, there are no ".exe" files on a Mac.  Applications have an ".app" extension.

  • Aperture fails to open after installing Photoshop CS5

Aperture fails to open and I cannot access my photo files. This happened after I installed Photoshop CS5. I uninstalled CS5, and have not reinstalled. I uninstalled Aperture and reinstalled it but nothing changed.
I searched the forums and could not find anything similar.
Aperture is stored on my hard drive, my iBook and on an eternal hard drive as well. On my iBook there are 5 Aperture aliases (and the Aperture Library), which I don't understand.
Is there anybody with advice on this matter?
    Thanks,
    Patricia

    Patricia,
Below some of your posts, but not all, your system configuration is listed as a Power PC G4 with 10.4.2 -- you should eliminate this info.
When you had CS5 installed, and in Aperture Preferences/Export, was Photoshop CS5 offered as a choice for external editor, or could you not get that far?
It might be that you would only need to purge the preference file for Aperture to make this work, and I would not have really expected CS5 to not work. Did you have another app for use as External Editor before installing CS5?

  • Win XP finds no audio device after installing Audigy 2

After installing Audigy 2 ZS, my Windows XP could no longer identify an audio device. Under Control Panel > Sounds and Audio Devices, clicking on the Audio tab, there is no Default Device for playback or whatsoever.
However, under the Hardware tab, Audigy 2 ZS is visible and seems to work fine. The only suspicious part I caught is that when I check for Properties of Audigy 2 ZS and go down to check Properties of Creative Audigy Audio Processor (WDM), the status shows "The di'ver is enabled but has not been started." I have no idea how this can be fixed.
The integrated sound card is turned off in the BIOS.
I've tried all possible ways to install, uninstall, install..., but just couldn't get XP to work properly. Any other possible solutions out there?
    Many thanks!

Solved after reinstalling Win XP. Wasted too much time on trying other possible solutions.
Hope other people may learn something out of it.

  • No audio core after installing Maverics

After upgrading to maverics, my core audio soundcard stopped working. When I checked in "about this mac" it is present, computer starts with start up sound, but when I go to preferences/audio I only have digital out. This is quite frustrating as I need to edit videos!
    Anyone can help?
I've tried fiddling with headphones input, as some users suggested, no luck.

    Hey there RadBuda,
It sounds like you are unable to get audio on your iMac when you log into your account after installing Mavericks, but you do hear the startup chime when you turn the computer on. I would start by resetting your SMC:
    Shut down the computer.
    Unplug the computer's power cord.
    Wait fifteen seconds.
    Attach the computer's power cord.
Wait five seconds, then press the power button to turn on the computer.
From: Intel-based Macs: Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC)
              http://support.apple.com/kb/ht3964
Then reset your PRAM with this article and re test the issue:
    Shut down your Mac.
Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Option, Command (⌘), P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
    Turn on your Mac.
Immediately press and hold the Option-Command-P-R keys. You must press this key combination before the gray screen appears.Continue holding the keys down until your Mac restarts, and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
    Release the keys.
Resetting PRAM may change some system settings and preferences. Use System Preferences to restore your settings.

  • Script Error after installing DW CS5.5 along with CS5

I have CS 5 on my machine and downloaded and installed the trial for CS5.5 (DW). Now I notice that any repeat region I try and add, I get an error "While executing applyServerBehaviour in Repeat Region.htm, a JavaScript error occured". The same thing happens when I try and add a new record set, but with the refference "Recordset.htm"
Also if I try and use the "Edit - Select Recently Modified file" I get a similar error.
The same happens in CS5. I tried uninstalling both and then just installing the CS5 and still get the same error.
I did delete the "WinfileCache###.dat" file in the configuration folder, but that did not help at all.
I use Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit with 16 gig of RAM.
Is there anything I can do to get things working again without having to do a complete re-install of everything?

I did delete the "WinfileCache###.dat" file in the configuration folder...
There should be 2 WinFileCache###.dat files: one in the Adobe\Dreamweaver CS5\en_US\Configuration folder, and one in the Adobe\Dreamweaver CS5.5\en_US\Configuration folder. You should delete them both.
Next try deleting both of those Configuration folders.

  • 1-2 Second Audio Delay after installing windows 7

I installed windows 7 on monday but whenever i do anything that has audio it is always delayed by -2 seconds.
For example when playing Dragon Age Origins an npc's mouth moves then a second latter the audio finally comes.
When listening to music it isnot that noticable since it is just audio but when i pause or stop it the audio continues for -2 seconds.
When watching videos on Hulu it is the same as games where the voice comes about -2 seconds after the person's mouth moves.
I have everything up to date via the auto updater and checked on here to verify the correct drivers are installed and they are indeed the latest.
Everything worked fine when i had vista but this issue may not be big to some but since i am a big very gamer this is a major problem and if not fixed soon i will remove the card and use the crappy onboard sound.
Any help fixin this issue would be greatly apreciated.
Edit: Forgot to mention that i use the creative sound blaster x-fi titanium card
Edit: I managed to fix it by deleteing EVERYTHING Creative and using ONLY the newest driver from the site, however doing this pretty much makes my card nothing more than a fancy onboard sound card since it doesn't have any of it's features.
The updater doesn't detect my card and when it does and i install anything from the list i get this audio delay issue.

If you are running FCP 4.5 and OSX 10.4.9, >>THIS THREAD<<</a> may be of interest.

  • Audio problems after installing Windows 8.1

Hey, so I got this laptop (HP ENVY TouchSmart 15-j013ea) last month, I downloaded 8.1 when it was released and my audio has been shocking since installing. I've tried uninstalling the IDT drivers and having the default Windows driver, but both are pretty terrible.
When I have headphones plugged in, I can hear a low buzzing noise, like somewhere the audio is set to a crazy high volume, that sort of buzzing. When I'm playing audio through the speakers it sounds like how it would if you had headphones plugged in but you weren't wearing them, really low and like it's far away
Hope that sorta explains the problem, really ruining this laptop and so far Windows 8.1 seems horrid

Try installing the driver from the following weblink:
    http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp61001-61500/sp61258.exe
if the issue persists, please provide the hardware id of your sound card using the following steps:
    1. In the search option of Charms Bar type devmgmt.msc. Select the resulted file in the left pane. This opens Device Manager.
    2. Unknown devices would be listed as such and marked out with a yellow question mark.
    3. Select the sound video or game controllers, unknown device or other device for which you need drivers and right click to access Properties.
    4. In the Properties window click on Details tab and select Device Instance Id  or Hardware ID from the drop down.
    5. An alphanumeric string like this PCI\VEN_1217&DEV_7130&SUBSYS_012F1025&REV_01\4&6B16D5B&0&33F0 is the identification marker for the device.
    6. Please provide this number so that we can suggest the appropriate driver.
    I am an HP employee.

  • After installing Photoshop CS5, now Illustrator CS5.1 won't stay open!

I have tried opening it from another user account; same problem.  I have Illustrator CS2 installed as well; it works fine.  Both Illustrator versions have worked together for more than a year.  What else can I try?

Sounds like the Photoshop was from CS5. The Illustrator is from CS5.5. You may be best served by uninstalling both, running the cleaner tool and reinstalling Photoshop before Illustrator.

  • No Dolby/DTS decoder tab in audio console after installing new driv

Using X-Fi Elite Pro and Vista 64-bit /w new 2.8.0004 drivers. Notes in the lastest driver says that Dolby/DTS encoding is enabled for Vista, but I'm not seeing the decoder tab like other people have. Can I still decode with my soundcard using method 2 in this thread

    doughnut wrote :
I don't have decoder tab with X-Fi XtremeMusic either in Vista x64. Is that normal And what does that "Dolby Digital and DTS decode re-established for sound cards that included decoding in their Windows XP drivers" feature introduced with latest X-Fi drivers mean if there's no decoder options at all
I have the X-Fi XtremeMusic soundcard and Vista Ultimate x64 SP, I get the decoder tab in both creative audio console and Creative Console Launcher (All modes). In order to get the Dolby Digital and DTS decoder tab in both creative audio console and Creative Console Launcher (Entertainment mode, game mode, ect) you have to install the following. Later, you can buy the Dolby Digital Li've as a add on.
Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi series Driver 2.8.0004 and Creative Console Launcher 2.60.29

  • Adobe constantly pinging firewall after installing Dreamweaver CS5 Demo

I don't know for sure if this should be posted under Dreamweaver or just Adobe in general, but since I installed the Dreamweaver CS5 demo 2 days ago, July 15, 2010, my firewall has been filling up with icmp/ping requests from "ADOBE Systems Incorporated" (see log snippet below. Times are CST -6:00). This is happening whether I have Dreamweaver running or not. I noticed because I usually only get a daily email from my firewall, but lately I have been receiving multiple emails daily filled with blocked ping requests.
Can anyone confirm if this might be a "feature" of all their new online stuff or should I be worried? Can anyone else check their firewalls and see if it's happening to them?
    Thanx in advance,
    Mike

I don't know for sure if this should be posted under Dreamweaver or just Adobe in general, but since I installed the Dreamweaver CS5 demo 2 days ago, July 15, 2010, my firewall has been filling up with icmp/ping requests from "ADOBE Systems Incorporated" (see log snippet below.
Dreamweaver automatically tries to connect to Adobe every time the Welcome screen is displayed. To prevent it from happening, select the "Don't show again" checkbox at the bottom left of the welcome screen. The reason it connects is to get the message that's displayed at the bottom right of the welcome screen.
The other reason your computer will be connecting to Adobe is the Adobe Updater will be trying to connect to the server to find if there are any updates to the installed programs. It normally runs once a day, but is probably retrying because your firewall won't let it through. I'm not sure if or how you can disable the updater. I find it quite useful, so have never tried to turn it off.

  • After installing PhotoShop CS5.5 on my new Lenovo Yoga Pro all the icons in the tool bars are suddenly really small - I can hardly see them. Anyone know what to do to make them bigger?

    Please help

You can't - Photoshop CS5.5 is much older than the high res display on your laptop.
UI Scaling at 200% was added as a feature in Photoshop CC 2014, and will scale for your new high res display.

  • Realtek HD Audio driver disappears after installing an ATI Radeon graphics card

My Realtek HD Audio driver disappears (from both the Vista "Sound Manager" and the "Device Manager") and is replaced by an ATI HD Audio driver after installing an ATI  Radeon 5450 graphics card.  I've tried un-installing the ATI Audio driver and re-installing the Realtek Audio driver.  But, upon rebooting, Vista automatically re-installs the ATI Audio driver (and the Realtek Audio driver, which I just re-installed, is no where to be found after rebooting).  I'm using an HP a6110n desktop running Windows Vista.

    Hi:
I bet you were unpleasantly surprised by that!
    The fix is simple:
Go into your system setup (BIOS) using the F10 key.
Find your device configuration menu. In that menu there should be a setting for your onboard audio. It is probably set to Auto.
Change the setting to Enabled. Hit the F10, key there and again when you save your settings and exit.
Now your onboard audio will be back and your HDMI out audio on your graphics card should work too when you need it.
What happened was when you installed the Video card with HDMI out, there is an audio chip on the video card for HDMI. The PC sensing a new sound card, just disabled the onboard sound card because it thought you didn't want to use the onboard card anymore.
Changing the BIOS setting to enabled tells the PC to use the onboard audio card as well as any others you may have installed.
