Audio is not always working, please help
Hello,
I have PE9. I pull a video to the editing area and it will play the video for a few sec. and then I don't have audio. It is a hit or miss if I am going to have audio to start with. On the timeline it shows that I have audio with my video I just can't hear it.
I also have noticed that there is an event and it says "an unspecified error occurred while performing a conf...." It will not let me click on details. Any help with this would be fantastic.

With those converted WMV's, which program was used to make the conversion?
What were the Audio specs. for that conversion?
As a test, rip the Audio from the converted AVI files with an audio editing prograrm, like the great, free Audacity. Save that as a PCM/WAV @ 48KHz 16-bit, and then Import that into PrE. VERY IMPORTANT - let that PCM/WAV file conform completely. With a PCM/WAV @ 48KHz 16-bit, it should not take very long, but do NOT touch the computer, until Conforming is complete. Drag that WAV file to an empty Audio Track, and align with the Video. This is easier, if you have Snap ON. Test. If this works, then you can use Audio Mixer to Mute the Audio Track with the muxed Audio, or you can Alt+click on it and Delete it. I like leaving it, but you might want to clean up the Timeline a bit.
Please report with the full specs of your conversion, plus how that test works.

DISPLAY variable.Are you actually running a X server on the machine from where you telneted from and did you give permission for the remote machine to use its X server? I'd recommend you just use MobaXterm instead of telnet as it has its own build in X server and DISPLAY forwarding and Xauthority permissions are all done for you automatically.

Audio file not found. Please help restore??
Arrgh! Hopefully someone can help me! A section of recording has gone missing from my podcast made in Garageband 3 and I have no idea how to get it back!
The podcast was intact when I saved and closed down for the night, then in the morning when I opened the file, a message box popped up saying 'Audio file "Recording#586.aif" not found! It gave me the option to search for it, which I did, but nothing came up.
I've tried searching my computer and servers, but nothing again.
I have no idea how this could have happened! The strand of lost recording is in the middle of the podcast and the rest of the file is unaffected. Unfortunately, the strand was recorded separate to the preceding and following strands, so I can't recover the missing file by extending out the other strands. ****.
If anyone has any suggestions or can offer any help, I'd be super grateful!

I'm able to retrieve the unedited GB project files using FileSalvage, but that end bit of the recording is always missing. Even though these are the original files and nothing's been edited or chopped away.
The only thing that I can think might have caused this mysterious disappearance is that the segment that's gone missing is the very end bit of the project, and the recording only stopped because GB automatically stopped it. Due to lack of space or recording capacity or something. Maybe there wasn't enough memory or something to conserve that final segment. I don't really know... -
can not pair my itouch with my mac book pro version 10.6.6 .. it seems that maybe my itouch is having trouble connecting as my mac seems to pair, then waits for my itouch and it never works. please help!!
I am not certain this will fix your problem but I suggest you assign the printer a static IP address.
Using the printer's front panel, select Menu > Network > WLAN > TCP/IP > Boot method, and change it to "static". Provide a static IP address that is on your LAN's subnet.
For example, if you are using an AirPort Extreme, you might give it an IP address of 10.0.1.100. If you are using a Netgear or Linksys router that defaults to issuing 192.168.x.x addresses, you might give it an address of 192.168.1.100. That way, the printer will always "reside at the same address" on your network. If your router has the ability, you should reserve that address so that the router does not attempt to assign it to another DHCP device.
Then, go to System Preferences > Print & Scan, and delete your existing printer with the "–" (minus) button. Add it again, using the "+" (plus) button. In the window that appears, select the IP pane, and from the Protocol menu select "Line Printer Daemon (LPD)". In the Address field type the IP address you gave your printer.
If all goes well the "Pring Using" field will detect the printer at that address and automatically select the appropriate driver. You will see something similar to the following screenshot ("name" can be whatever you decide, and "location" is optional):
Click Add, then you can close System Preferences.
There are other possible reasons your printer is "not responding" which could include wireless interference from competing wireless networks, but try this "static IP" method first. It should mitigate the problem. -

I have 4s iPhone , I download the iOS 7. Now the front receiver microphone is not working , please help me that how to fix the problem.
I live in South Africa, and I had the same problem with my iPhone 4.
After weeks of frustration and swearing, I was in the process of restoring my phone to a previous iOS. To do that you need to turn the "Find my iPhone" option off, since i turned it off, my problem was solved. No need to repair anything or revert back to old iOS.

If you are running Lion or Mountain Lion, the drivers are downloaded from within Bootcamp Assistant. If you are running Snow Leopard the drivers are on your Snow Leopard install disk.

Updating the iOs to 5.xx will lock it back to the original carrier .The carrier holding the lock are the only
entity able to authorise the unlock .You will have to contact them and see if they unlock and the terms the apply -
