Audio issues after exporting

I've made a 40 minute video of my friends' wedding, which plays beautifully in iMovie, but when I export it, there are some audio issues. I've read other forums and detached all audio before exporting and still the same result.
1) Part of the opening sequence has a piece of audio (from another part of the video) that runs with some slow motion clips of bride and groom. When I export, the warped, slowed down original audio can be heard in the background. I've tried everything - detach audio and delete the offending piece of original audio to reducing the volume level of the original audio to 0. It's still there after exporting!!!
2) Maybe as a result of the above, not sure, but once exported, the whole video audio is out of sync by a few seconds. Went back and checked the project and it's all good with all the audio lining up with the clips, but export and it's out of whack
My friends are hounding me to see the video and I keep stalling, quoting some 'technical issues'.
Please help!

Just wanted to let you all know you've saved my sanity by posting on this board. Your solution - while not what I would have guessed in a million years was the problem source - fixed my video. I can't believe it was so simple! Now, if I could only get the hour(s) back where I tried to find the audio track I 'hadn't muted'...

  • Audio issues after export to QT (Christmas present - please help!)

I've made a nice presentation in Keynote 4.0.1. My plan was to export it to QT, then
make a DVD of the result. It's supposed to be a chrismas gift to my parents (a presentation
about their newborn grandchild) but now I'm stuck with no working audio.
The presentation includes a few video clips and mp3-audio. They work perfectly when I
preview the presentation in Keynote, but when I try to export them the sound from the
videoclips is gone, and the audio from all the mp3:s stops after about a second.
I have tried to work around this by converting the presentation to Flash, it helps the audio,
but then all the transitions, slides and pictures are messed up.
I've been working with this all night, looked on all forums, without success.
Please, pretty please, all you Santas out there - HELP ME BEFORE CHRISTMAS!!!
    Thanks,
    Henrik

Ok. Now I've tried a lot more ways to make this work. I'm getting more and more desperate!
One way was to plug in a headphone cable in the line-in and plug-it in "headphones", and record the audio from the slide as "recorded narrations" in Keynote. This worked on one slide - with lots of audio latency, but when I tried it on the whole slideshow Keynote freaked out and crashed.
I hate this excellent program. I wonder - how can Apple release, and expect people to pay for something so buggy and obviously unfinished as iWork '08.
I've worked with MS Office and Open Office, but never, ever had so much trouble with sudden crashes, missing audio, latency and non-working videoclips! If I had a company I would never risk
to use this software for important speaches and annual reports.

  • Audio issues after upgrading to OS X 10.10 (Yosemite)

    Hello,
I have been facing audio issues after upgrading to OS X 10.10
    - No sound in VLC
    - Re-booting with Option-Command-P-R did not work
    - System sounds are fine
    - Quicktime Player works just fine
    I tried:
    - Plugging in earphones while video was playing on VLC
    - F10/F11/F12 while video was playing on VLC
    - Re-boot with Option-Command-P-R keys (found on a thread elsewhere)
    - Played something in Garage Band (found on a thread elsewhere) and restarted VLC
None of the above solved the issue
Any one else facing similar issue with VLC on 10.10?
How did you manage to fix this?
I am running VLC 2.1.5 btw.
    Thanks in advance!

Shockwave says at the present moment not to be compatible with OS X 10.9 Mavericks.
Youtube, QuickTime, all play with no sound at all.

  • Poor audio quality after exporting to .MOV.

Voiceover in my video sounds crystal clear in the timeline but then thin and "rattley" after export when playing back with Quicktime player. Background music on other tracks always seems to be unaffected. Audio export set to AAC, 48 kHZ, Stereo. I must export to a Quicktime .mov format because it's the only file type that I can upload to YouTube without the color quality being distorted after upload. Adobe Updater says all of my programs are updated.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

How did you record the VO? is it a mono or stereo track, how are you viewing the export. Sometimes when just one section of the audio is wrong it is due to audio phase problems, I have not seen this with a vo before but it might be the issue. See:

  • HP Slate 21 audio issue after KitKat update and reset

I have upgraded my HP Slate 21 from JB to KK. Now the sound quality is very bad!
I came directly from xxx.11 kernel and made factory reset but didn't get a good result. Please how can I fix this tremendous issue?

    Hey @PauloTxR ,
    Welcome to the HP forums.
I understand you're experiencing issues with sound quality on your Slate 21 PC.
Please review the following thread: HP Slate 21 Kit Kat OTA Update Fix for Audio Quality and LAN Connectivity.
This fix will resolve audio issues of a software nature resulting in the KitKat update. If your issue persists after applying the specific update mentioned in this thread and have done a factory reset, the issue is likely hardware related and not the result of the KitKat update.
If you have done the above and continue to have problems please call our technical support at 800-474-6836. If you live outside the US/Canada Region, please click the following link to get the support number for your region: Phone Assist Worldwide.

  • STILL have MBP audio issues after Bootcamp 3.1

I have a mid-2009 MBP 13" with Snow Leopard, running 32-bit XP Professional with SP3. I just updated to Bootcamp 3.1 after dealing with low audio, robo-voice from the internal microphone, and spooky red light/trackpad nonsense for months. While 3.1 fixed the red light and the trackpad, my audio issues still remain; I get very poor volume on the Windows side and my voice is still distorted, slow and generally crappy when I use the built-in microphone in the microphone test. The mic doesn't work at all in Steam, which is the whole reason I want it. Was 3.1 supposed to fix these audio issues? It doesn't explicitly say so on the download page, but it seems like it's been quite effective for other people, so if it is supposed to fix the audio I suppose I'm going down to the Apple Store.
If 3.1 wasn't a magic bullet, can anyone suggest a fix? I'm pretty fed up by now with this issue. I tried reinstalling the drivers after extracting them from the BC 2.2 update (found that process on these forums), and it did nothing. The link to the New Jersey school's site (another suggestion from the forums) no longer works for whatever reason.
    Thanks!

Use Driver Sweeper and the tips on how to use and troubleshoot
    http://www.guru3d.com/category/driversweeper/
You may also want to use Windows Installer Cleanup as I mentioned.
    Also CCleaner can help.
MSCONFIG.exe can lead you to the services and startup items being loaded
Programs control panel of course to uninstall the program
Device Manager to rollback; or uninstall and manage device drivers
Apple installs a number of drivers, services, startupitems so you really have to get familiar with the OS and where/how to manage things.
Windows 7 supports RESTORE POINTS. Use 'em! and set one before just in case (any good installer or update should create a new one but good to have your own), and make sure there is 10-30GB of space for restore points.
System control panel advanced protection -> configure your boot volume settings

Is there a fix for the audio issues I'm having after update 6.0.1? I have audio for music and videos, but none for anything else. I have checked all my settings everything is on and loud and the test for all of it seems to work, but then it doesn't actually work, and that excludes all my apps have no sound either.

  • Speakerphone audio issues after iOS7 upgrade

Is anyone else having speakerphone issues after upgrading to iOS7?  I have a iP4 and when  used normally, transmit audio is normal.  When switching to speakerphone, transmit audio in non-existent and person on other end cannot hear me.  Thoughts?

I also have a Mac Air 2012, tried charging from Mac Air and it's now charging! Mac Air is now charging from the same wall unit location which I used for iPad 2 - so nothing wrong with the wall unit.
I just wish i could charge as fast from wall unit as with iOS 6.  Any further guidance is greatly appreciated.

  • I am getting inconsistent audio distortion after export, please help.

When I export with the following settings I am experiencing a lot of distortion on my 2nd audio clip which is 48000hz - 16bit - Stereo.
This happened when I changed my sequence settings from 23.976 to 24fps.
Any thoughts? This was filmed on a gh4, using a sennheisser wireless g3 and the on board audio recording. Never had this issue before.  Whats strange is that the distortion only occurs during the second clip... I can embed the video that helps.

I seem to remember having audio issues at transition points way back with PPro 1.5 and the fix was to export/render just the audio to an uncompressed wav, place that wav on it's own track and mute the others before rendering the project out.   That eventually put me into the habit of doing roundhouse sessions of the audio into Audition for tweaks, noise, normalize, etc. and mixing down back to PPro.  The only audio effects I use in PPro anymore are track gains to meet specs in the loudness radar at final export.
I'm really digging how tight the entire suite is, and I could go on how well it's working, but that would raise trouble with some so I'll stop here.

  • Audio/Video sync issues after exporting

    Two quick issues:
    1. I've recently exported a project from FCE4 to quicktime and am finding that the audio is slightly out of sync with the video everytime.
Is there an ideal format or setting I need to export at to avoid this?
    2. Also, I've edited two projects using the same clips and keep finding that the second one I make seems to make the video very narrow when I export it. Is there a setting I need to use to avoid this, or does the problem lay in the setup?
    Cheers!
    John

From what I see in your info, the clips don't match the Sequeunce.
Furthermore, the clips are not FCE freindly. Probably required rendering?
I'd suggest using Streamclip to convert the H.264 clips to the exact specs of one of the FCE>Easy Setups, audio and video properties, then start over.
    http://www.squared5.com/
BTW: Whatever you convert the clips to must match the Easy Setup, so that you work with Clips and Sequence being the same. The best way to acheive this is to start a NEW Project, set the Easy Setup first, then bring in the the matching clips.
Using Item Properties in Browser>Seqeunce/Clip is one way to confirm matching specs for both.

  • Audio offset after export issue

I have a 1h 50min long multicam sequence with two audio layers. The first audio-file is the stage-sound, and the other is from the audience. The two layers didn't line up perfectly, so I had to change the speed/duration of one of the audio-clips so it matched. Now it works perfectly in playback in Premiere. However, when I export the sequence, the audio is getting out of sync again. I have tried multiple formats, exporting audio alone and deleted the render files but with no luck. Any suggestions how I might fix the problem?

  • Audio Disappears After Export

I've come across a bug that's occurred twice to me in the past 3-4 months. When exporting a sequence out of Premiere Pro, the resulting file loses some of its audio. Here are the details:
A section of 10 minutes of audio towards the end of the project disappear in the resulting .mov QuickTime file
    Export settings are
I cannot get the problem to reoccur after it has happened. It seems to be at random.
The first time this issue occurred, I used H.264 as the codec. So I know that does not fix the issue.
Both times I have sent the sequence to Adobe Media Encoder for export.
Here is a screenshot of the project, showing that everything in the audio mixer window is fine, as well as individual tracks in the timeline. I've set in/out points over the section that disappeared in the export. The green audio track in this area is the audio that was missing, the disabled clip above it is scratch audio and is supposed to be disabled.
Can anyone help me figure out why this issue has occurred? Both times it has happened have been in critical scenarios where the file needs to work (one being a backup in case our satellite feed has issues, and this most recent time it happened on our television broadcast without me knowing until after).

    Hi Codyn,
I'm really not sure. And it sounds like it is not easily repeatable. Can you file a bug report? Here is the link: http://adobe.ly/ReportBug

  • Audio issues after converting a media file to WMV

    Hello,
I am using the Adobe Premiere Elements 11 version, on a PC (windows Vista).
An issue often occures after converting a media (video + audio) into Windows Media format : once the conversion is over (after 2 - 3 hours for a 1 hour media file), the audio cannot be heard : we can only hear a very annoying bip all along the video.
This is currently the third time I am trying to make this conversion, each time I have to wait for the end of the conversion (3 hours) to notice that the sound is not correct, so I have to run the conversion once again.
Do you have clues concerning this issue?
    Thanks in advance,
    Thomas

    Thomas Drouault
If you are using Premiere Elements 11 on Windows Vista 32 or 64 bit, it is a 32 bit application running in the 32 bit compatibility mode of the 64 bit system and a 32 bit application running in the 32 bit system. As such, the maximum supported installed RAM is 4.0 GB of which 3.0 GB or less are available. But we will put that aside for now.
What are the properties of your source media and what project preset are you setting? Please give the details of the Publish+Share/Computer/Windows Media preset as well as the settings under the presets Advanced Button/Video and Audio tabs. Of specific interest are the combo of video and audio codecs.
Please confirm that you are saying that the problem does not exist for playback of the rendered Timeline in the Edit Mode Monitor prior to the Windows Media export.
    Thanks.

  • [SOLVED] .mkv audio issues after updating x264, ffmpeg and mplayer

Since I updated to x264-20100410-1, ffmpeg-22837-2 and mplayer-31029-1 the audio of random mkv files is having issues. While it seems to be in sync with the video it sounds as if it was slowed down.
The problem was solved after downgrading back to the previous versions with:
    pacman -U /var/cache/pacman/pkg/x264-20100312-1-i686.pkg.tar.xz
    /var/cache/pacman/pkg/ffmpeg-22511-1-i686.pkg.tar.xz
    /var/cache/pacman/pkg/mplayer-30886-1-i686.pkg.tar.xz
I can't pinpoint the precise culprit using the binary packages and have no time right now to recompile them and track the problem individually, sorry.

I reinstalled the new versions and tried again but the problem seems to be independent of the -vo (or -ao) drv. I even tried null as -vo but the sound is still distorted. The video plays fine.
