Hi Chris, the problem is after the ios7.1 update my wifi will no longer connect. I contacted my network and they said they have received an email from Apple saying its a hardware issue and nothing my network can do ( soft reset, general reset or factory reset wont work and to contact apple directly. I was told that this is most common on the iPhone 4s. Online I have seen people being offered an option to buy out of warranty phones because this issue can't be fixed? That can't be correct can it?

My first generation Apple TV won't update to the latest release of the software

I have recently been gifted a first gen Apple TV. The factory restore went well and I have configured it OK. The OS version is 2.2. When check for updates it says it is up-to-date but Apple Support shows the latest release for it to be 3.02. How can I make it update properly?

Are there any known issues with the latest update to iTunes on Windows 7 maxing out the processor and nearly bringing the system to a hault.

Has anyone experienced an issue with the latest update to iTunes (11.2.0.115) for Windows where iTunes pegs out the processor at 97%, 98%, and holds there for maybe 15 minutes before dropping to 50%. During that time, the system is basically useless. You just have to ride it out. I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium.

I've stored the library in HARD DISK which is installed inside my computer (1 TB capacity) and different from my hard disk in which I've installed all my applications (600 GB capacity).
I've installed FCP since 2001, bought FCP X in 2012: never had a problem. Yesterday I was editing my video of my last vacations (in California!) and I have updated FCP X, downloading FCP X 10.1.1: then the problem!
Strange is the fact that I've just tried to export a short project, I can see the final product quite well.
What is impossible is playing the clips within Final Cut: they are jumpimg, moving, presenting some frame in green or red ...
Everything all right in iMovie.
I've just checked the RAM: 9GB out of 12 GB is busy, could this be the problem?
Motion is very slow: for 20 sec of project, it takes minutes to play. And once again, if you finalize the projet and export it in Quicktime, you can see it correctly.
I do hope you may suggest something, I'm getting crazy!

Until the previous iOS version 8.1.1, there wasn't any problem. But now none of the video is playing.
Error message displayed is: This video isn't encoded for your device.
How can this happen as some time back it was all fine until I updated the iOS.

The video won't play where I am but this might work for you. Go to the website. Tap the URL field. Pull your Favorites down. Tap request desktop site.

It was just a hunch that MircoNetFrame was causing the problem. I disabled it as you suggested, and I still have the problem.
I just changed under Tools>Options> General - had checked "ask me every time" under downloads, so instead of asking me, FF saved the download to I know not where. It no longer saves it to the desktop, leaving a duplicate in "my documents".
In windows, I have found unless one knows the entire name of the document, one can never find anything. It isn't listed under recent ''''''__. I can't recall the nomenclature, but the
capability is ridiculous. So, I don't know where that file I just downloaded is!
I downloaded a PDF file, but this happens with all DL's. It was so easy to have them all stacked in one place and I could recall
what I had and when I downloaded it easily.
Do you have any other suggestions other that going back to the old version of FF, which I would rather not do?

What is the latest release number for OS X on a MacBook Air?

I have just purchased a new MacBook Air.
I am having difficulties with the software update function. I made a software update request and had 7 items to install. When I tried to install them I got an "an expected error" (see previous question in this community from myself). I then tried installing the items one bz one and all was well, except for the fact that the OSX upgrade to 10.8.2 had no effect and left my MacBook at 10.7.5.
Does any one know what is the latest release number and how to upgrade to 10.8.2?

You should be running on Mountain Lion OSX 10.8.2. I applied for and received a free upgrade for Mountain Lion as my MBA was a mid 2012 model. There was a form on Apple site to fill out and the instructions were pretty straight forward.
At that time there was a bout a 1 week delay due to the rush to upgrade to Mountain Lion.

Audio Probelms in the latest flash 11.3

My audio in the latest 11.3 is very loud and also has poor quality. I have seen others have a problem with surround sound headsets like the Logitech G35. My surround sound headset (Razer Megaldon) can tell if it is receiving surround sound or not and after the update it shows that it is receiving surround sound even on things that does not support it (like youtube), This was not the case on 11.2. I am using chrome. I was mostly posting this as it may help you solve the problem for me and for others but until the problem is solved I have downgraded to 11.2.
Also I have tried the fixes that you have posted but the fix in the windows audio settings is not possible too do on my usb headset.

Nothing new to report, but I'll be forwarding this along to the audio team. Could you create a new bug report on this issue and post back with the bug number so that others affected can add their votes and comments? When creating the bug report, please be sure to attach a copy of your systems dxdiag report.

My iPhone 5 is suddenly having audio issues through the headphone jack.

So this is a strange situation, and I'll try to explain in depth so that someone might be able to suggest a solution. As reference, I have an iPhone 5 that I purchased in late-February. I've had every other model of iPhone except for the first iPhone, so I am pretty familiar with the device. I used to be on AT&T, and switched to Verizon when I upgraded to the iPhone 5.
Two days ago, I was on a six hour road-trip, and I'd been playing my music like normal through my car's auxillary cable. After stopping for lunch, I went to plug my music again, but once the music started to play, I realized that only the drums were playing at normal levels while the vocals were very, very soft. I switched through a few different songs, and realized that all the songs were being played at different levels; sometimes the backup vocals were normal levels while the instrumentation and lead vocals were quiet, or vice versa. I decided to plug my iPhone in to charge, and when I did this, the audio levels were all normal. However, the iPhone was NOT charging. I removed the charger, and the audio went back to being weak and distorted. I went back and forth at this for a bit, trying to figure out what was going on.
Since then and after some testing, I realize that my iPhone will now only charge anywhere EXCEPT in the car charger (I simply use my USB cable that came with my iPhone and plug it into the power adapter I have in the car). This morning, I tested the audio in my home speaker system, and I had the same audio issues. Only half the song's tracks would be at normal audio levels, while the other half would be at a very quiet, almost nonexistent level. I tried plugging my charger into the phone to see if that'd make a difference, but instead of the audio going back to normal like it does in the car, the music stopped and there was just crackling and very noisy distortion sounds.
I'm super confused and not sure what to do. This has never happened to me with any of my iPhones. I am updating my software right now, and am hoping that that may help somehow. Otherwise, I'm at a loss. Any suggestions as to what I should do would be greatly appreciated!

What is the deal with the latest release of iTunes?

Ever since I updated iTunes a few months ago it has basically made itself totally useless. It takes forever to start the program up - it takes minutes and mintues of spinning rainbows to search for music in my library that before was instantly recallable... The library is obviously parsing the search as soon as you start typing - so if I type in Se... by the time I type in the second E it's searching for every song in my library that starts with S, then it's searching for every song that starts with Se... etc... then I get half through the word and the stupid GUI freezes and I get to watch spinning rainbows for 45 seconds, then the library displays 250 songs that I wasn't looking for.... How about if the program just WAITS until I am done typing in the name of the song or artist or album and hit ENTER to initiate the search? I'm pretty sure I don't sit around going - I want to listen to that one song but I don't remember what it's called - except - didn't it start with Se? I'll just do a search for that... It's STUPID!
The latest issue I've had with it is it won't connect my iPod at all! It just randomly stopped recognizing my iPod. When I DO get the ipod to show up in the sidebar - after force quitting the program 3 times, restarting the computer (welcome to WIndows OSX), and rebooting the iPod and reconnecting everything - the program spins rainbows for... going on like 15 minutes now...

I assumed you were familiar with search in itunes 10.
However as you are clearly not then the way to search for An Artist is to select filter by artist in the search box
then type in the artist name and it will match that artist or any artist with that as part of the name
For Example I searched for Eric Clapton just using Eric. It found all The Eric Clapton songs but also songs by Jesse Frederick/Bennett Salvay. If I typed in the Ful name of Eric Clapton it just returned Eric clapton

Through auto update on the OS to 10.6.8, my Konica printer no longer working, anybody knows if this is an issue with the latest OS?

My Konica Minolta printer BizHub Pro1200 is no longer printing after the update of the latest OS 10.6.8, the print queue is just sitting there with the Paused message, it won't print even when you try to resume the print, keeps getting back into the paused mode. Anybody out there with the same printer model has this problem. I was told by Konica that this is Apple's OS problem.

The only OSX update that you have available is Snow Leopard (10.6) which you can purchase from the Apple online store and it comes on a disk. In order to install subsequent OSX's such as Lion, Mt. Lion and Mavericks (which can be downloaded and do not require a disk) it requires that the MBP have 10.6.8 installed.
That of course assumes that your unidentified MBP qualifies for those operating systems.
In short, to proceed any further, you will have to accommodate Snow leopard.

HT1926 Issue installing the latest version of iTunes...

I have uninstalled my old iTunes on my PC and when trying to install the latest version I keep getting a pop up message which says "Service 'Apple Mobile Device' failed to start. Verify you have sufficent privileges to start system... How do I fix this?
