Audio levels in exported video [Premiere Pro CS6]

The audio level is just what I want in the actual track. However, when I export the video the exported audio is too loud. So I went back and lowered the clip by 3dB...the volume level of exported video still didn't change--it sounds like people are shouting.
This is a new problem...is there a setting in the export dialog box I have accidentally changed?
Thanks in advance.

I have found this to be a problem in CC at one of the places I work.
Export at 16bit perfect levels with a tone ident...bring it back it into the project and now -3db.
I tried exporting 32bit float and it comes out 3db higher!
Only method I have found is to export audio separately to a 32bit file then in a new final video sequence, replace the audio timeline with this file and adjust levels. The new export seems to come out at the right levels
May have something to do with a bug in the pan law but you can't adjust settings like in Audition.
Many bugs in this program causing me nightmares....
....Can't save track preset effects and have to copy complicated track EQ and compression settings by hand
....Track effect settings adjustments that revert as soon as you click away or hit play
....Very slow with crashes and freezes in sequences with nested sequences.
Leave plenty of time for your final exports...you will need it

  • Audio and video not synchronized when exporting from Premiere Pro CS6

    Hi
We have made a project in Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 that´s intended to be exported to DVD (it´s a weeding). We are working with NTSC DV Widescreen. The exporting is 720x480
We have 2 audio lines activated and sounding on this project.
    The question is:
When exporting the entire video (the entire timeline sequece) using Adobe Media Encoder to formats like H.264 (NTSC DV Widescreen)... Quick Tile Movie or AVI without compression (we tested these formats) the 2 audio channels get unsynchronized from the video. The same problem occurs if we get a direct link of the timeline from Premiere to Encore.
And Inside Premiere Preview audio is preety correct.
Does anyone here are getting such problem?
Also..can I ask another question (as I´m not expert on video production)?. What´s the best format for our purpose? Export a video to be played to DVD (we record weedings, birthdays..social events). No problem the time to export. We´d like the best quality for output.
    Thank you for the help
    Gustavo.

    Hi John and techkid123
We have 4 cameras here. 1 is Sony model HD1000 (since it works with Mini-DV cassete we need to capture the image via Firewire). 2 cameras are Sony HD2000 (it generates *.MPEG files if I remember well). And 1 camera is a Panasonic AG-DVC7 (it generates *.MTS files)
We start a new project using the Standard NTSC Widescreen 48Khz format.  When we drag to the timeline for example the MTS file...Premiere ask us if we want to Keep and Change timeline to suit the file specification. Anyway we always have 1 or 2 camera files that has a yellow line over timeline.
But I renders correct...no problem to edit...and we had no problem with Premiere CS5.5 :/
We are downloading the latest update of Premiere. I´ll make some test and publish here if the problem persist.
Thank you a lot for the help
    Gustavo.

  • Losing audio quality when exporting from premiere pro

I have now had this happen with two different videos. I play the video in premiere pro and the audio is fine. I export the video and lose most of the quality of the audio portion. One project is a music session when exported I only get the main vocal the drums aren't audible only a buzz sound is made where the kick drum would usually come in. On another project is a thank you video for a family member and the audio is distorted after being exported. The audio sounds fine inside of the session. Once exported the audio will still work fine on my computer and my iphone 5s as long as I'm wearing headphones, once I try to play the video through my iphone 5s speakers the audio quality is gone, making the noises as previously stated. My iphone can still play other tracks fine but videos and audio exported from Premiere Pro are distorted. Any advice on how I can export the video so I wont lose audio quality when playing the video on an iphone? I know it's not my iphone speakers, they play other songs just fine.

The source files as far as the audio goes are wav files that I've pulled off of my desktop. My sequence settings are 1920 by 1080 at 29.97 frames per second. The export settings are H.264 with the preset YouTube (HD 1080 29.97 FPS) and I've also tried HD video 1080p 29.97 FPS. If this isn't enough information please let me know I'm in the learning phase. Audio wise the quality is set to high and I'm exporting at 4800 kh and a bit rate of 190. I've also tried a bit rate of 320 and 264 I think it is and still had the same problems.  Let me know if I need to do screen shots I really want to figure this out.
    Thanks for your help!

  • Problème vitesse exportation Adobe Premiere Pro CS6

    Bonjour,

Was mache ich hier falsch?
    Anbei eine kurze Vorgangsbeschreibung:
Erstellen eines neuen Projektes. Aufnahmeformat: DV, PAL
    Videoeinstellungen: 720x576 (1,4587) -> 16:9
    Oberes Halbbild zuerst

  • Why is video size different to original when exporting from Premiere Pro CS6 to Encore?

    Hi there
My source files in Premiere Pro are 1920 x 1080.
When I export the sequence to Encore to burn to a DVD the size in the burned DVD changes to 720 x 576
In Encore project area I have these two entries
The encoding settings for the above two entries are
this (for the first entry above)...
and this (for the second entry above)...
It does not seem to be possible to change the encoding to 1920 x 1080 for the first enry and as such the video is being burned as 720x576.
How can I fix this? What am I doing wrong?

DVD is 720x576 you cannot change that.
If you want 1920x1080 which is HD you need to make a BluRay.
You can however make an AVCHD disk which is HD on DVD.
About 20 minutes will fit on a DVD and will only (but not all) BluRay players.

  • Audio sync drift issues within Premiere Pro CS6, even with 48kHz project & source material?

Evening guys and Merry Christmas to those who follow the tradition. I'm currently doing a few last minute tweaks to a live dance show that I recently shot. The show featured music that was recorded in camera (via additional mic) from the speaker setup within the theatre. This was always intended as a guide track as the original music would then be synced in the edit to give a cleaner sound to the audio during the dance sequences. I have the original CD that the music was played from on the night, however when the files are imported into Premiere Pro (or even Audition), they sync for the first 10 seconds or so and then gradually drift out of sync as the track goes on.
My project is set to 48.000 audio, which was what the original footage was shot at, as well as the audio tracks being imported as 48.000 too. Now on paper there should not be any issues with this sync drift occuring right? I've even tried with 44.100 audio files and naturally they drift out of sync.
At a loss here really as I'm not sure where i'm going wrong. Can anyone shed any light on this situation please?
    Thanks!

  • AVI audio not heard in VLC & Premiere Pro CS6

    Hi!
I have an avi and Premiere Pro doesn't allow me to import it. The avi's audio is G.723 ADPCM codec and Premiere and VLC don't get it - the audio can't be heard. The only program in which I can hear the audio is Media Player Classic.
When I converted the AVI to mp4 the video worked fine and imported to Premiere but the audio wasn't even part of the file. When I imported the mp4 file to Audition it didn't show me the audio file.
    How can I fix it?
    Thanks

  • Green Line on right side of exported video Premiere Pro

Hi, when I export my footage I am seeing a slight green line on the right edge of the frame, no matter the media player and is visible as well on youtube and vimeo uploads.  I am making sure it is exported at 1280x720 as that is the aspect ratio I am recording at on my GH2. The GH2 are avchd files or .mts files natively, so when I import them I convert them using Adobe Media Encoder set to ProRes 720 60fps.  This green line does not occur on every clip when I export, just the majority of them.  I am also using Premiere Pro CC 2014 with the latest version updated. Please help!

Yes looks very similar to what I am getting with the cube transition.
It is probably something to do with the MPE and Direct X or Acc Graphics used to process the clips during the transition, only a guess for a non programmer like myself lol.
Yes, bet it is one of those bugs that has slipped through, when viewing as a screen shot it is hard to see it at stop so possible more so even in motion, but yes it is there and as I posted in my other thread, I am seeing it also, I am not green screening neither.
As say, for TV's then probably 99% of the time it will be hidden in the overscan area but for some and for Web Based viewing, I as you, would rather it not be there.
As say it is kinda like the feature in EDIUS Called enable transition handling in over scan, where the default for a new project is set at 3%.
Anyway, I have kinda solved my problem with the cube spin transition by subscribing to Red Giant Universe at $10 a month, they have a nice set of transitions that work well in premiere Pro CC, I am currently on version 8.0.1. Though I do plan on upgrading as and when to the newest one 8.0.2. Though doubt that the original issue has been fixed, but for now, I am using Red Giant.
FInally, I notice that if I click on the settings box in Red Giant Transitions, then it crashes Premiere Pro with this message, so I avoid doing that, but still work mentioning, probably should put this into a fresh post of submit bug report, I will also contact Red Giant to make them aware of it also.

  • Red video glitch at render and export in Premiere Pro CS6.

I keep on experiencing red screen glitches in my videos while viewing after render and when exported into any format. After replacing the clip with another, the same problem appears at the exact same time as before. The only way to get rid of the glitch is to build a completely new project. I have attached a picture of the glitch (the JPEG is green for some reason).
    Any solutions?

    Thank you for fast answer.
    my version is  6.0.5.  ( 001 (MC: 264587))
i use more kinds of cameras, but each provide different video file type.
this problem is with  HC-V700 Panasonic, which is creating the AVCHD files.
i am talking about working video window, where you see the movie you cut and edit! (not the green/blue/red bar in timeline)
(after finishing the rendering, sometimes without it), and in case when i see it red, it is exported as well as RED screen .
and - on the other side : i can play such movie file, by double clicking on it, (from project files list, or from timeline ) where new window appears for playing that file.
    thank you for your interest

  • MP4 exported from Premiere Pro CS6 runs choppy on some computers . . .

I have a video clip that was rendered as a .mov file in AfterFX CS6.  I uploaded it to youtube exported as a 1080p HD MP4 (target bitrate 12, max bitrate 12, VBR, 2-pass) that runs OK on my computer at any resolution, and runs OK on my iPad and 47" TV, but runs choppy on my laptop, and a friend's computer.  My computer is a Dell running a Haswell i7, with 24GB of memory and an Nvidia Quadro 2000 video card.  My iPad is Gen 4, my laptop is a Lenovo with i5 cpu and 4GB ram, and my friend is running a first generation i7 920 (overclocked) with 12GB of ram.  On my computer and iPad, http://youtu.be/lMg-YsVMZHg runs smoothly at any resolution, and the same file runs smoothly on my 47" LED TV from a USB 2 thumb drive.  It runs choppy and stutters on my laptop and my friend's machine at even low res.  The same file runs a lot smoother with some very slight judder when plugging the thumb drive directly into my laptop and running full screen.  What suggestions do you have?  Is this a bitrate problem, and what should work with all machines?
    Thanks.
    Gary Silverstein

The tutorials are downloaded as a zip file then extracted; I don't actually screen record the tutorials while streaming or anything.  I guess I couldn't say if variable frame rate was used when they recorded the tutorials, but the media I have shows up as 30fps as opposed to some sort of non-traditional frame rate that often shows up when recording with something at a variable frame rate (like the stock iPhone video camera app).

  • Problems exporting from premiere pro cs6

    Heeeeeeeeeeeeelp please!
I downloaded my recent project from cs5.5 into a trial version of cs6 and now I'm getting an unknown error (problems compelling video) when I try to export my project (in H.264).
I tried shutting off the auto safe, exporting in a different format (quicktime), restarting offcause, removing effects from the clip where the export failes, even tried exporting without that particular clip, but then it just happened another place in the film at another clip.
I'm thinking there could be an export limit when you're only working with the trial, cause I have been able to export smaller bits of the timeline and as well other smaller projects. I'm a mac user and not that good at computers in general.
I can still export a early version of my project from cs5.5 but I would really love to detect the problem in stead of starting all over since it's my BA project and I'm on a deadline...
I really hope somebody know something helpfull

I been in this same situation for two weeks. First update your software to the latest update. Just released yesterday
I believe you have more than one clip. At the end and begining of the clip you should have little grey triangle shape. They are called handles, meaning extra space at end point and at begining. Usaually for transition. If you dont see it on both clips (as in picture) then the one clip which is misiing need to be trimed little or more until handles disappear or some time you see full triangle (as in picture). Do same if there are more. Then just try to export the ending where clips attach each other. Set in and out points as I did in the picture. Export and make sure to choose sequence in and out setting. here is the picture:
I hope it works. I dont use this software anymore. I had a trail version. Used for two weeks. Every day same problem then finally figured it out and moved back to Edius 6. Thanks

  • Audio out of sync in premiere pro cs6 after capturing

Hi, some of my footages are out of audio sync after capturing.
I have an imac with 3.4 Ghz intel i7 processor, 16gig ram, ssd card  ( august 2012)
    I have a sony hvr-z1 with tape.
Does anyone know how to solve this problem?
Thanks in advance for your help.

    Good morning Lynn,
I doubt this will help, but whenever I have issues importing tapes, I try
something else. I double check the software's manual because
sometimes, even if I have done the same thing several times, I add
or miss something. If that does not work I close the program and restart
the computer and camcorder and try again ... with a different tape. If
that doesn't work I use a different program. I use an old HP workstation
I paid $99 for on Ebay that's running XP and I capture with Scenalyzer.
Then I copy file to a USB drive and input to Premiere. Sorry, I figure the
problem is me, not the hardware or software and it usually is me because
when the next project comes along PP usally imports fine.

  • Error when exporting from premiere pro CS6

I have been using PP CS6 since launch date- and have had none stop problems with exporting, I cant dynamic link, add to render ques or simply export straight from PP!
When i Que my project it will export up until half way and then freeze, i've tried changing the clip, removing effects, everything!
has anyone encounted this problem before?
This is happening with more then just this one project aswell.
These are old projects that were originally created in CS5, could that be causing it?

    Thats what i thought!
All earlier projects open, i can edit, manipulate it! do the works! However when it comes to export time! i can't export it to anything! whats the point?!?!
Im really angry, when you pay for something you expect it to do what it was designed to do! and the fact i can't export at all is really really frustrating!
